Stopped by this Middle Eastern spot and damn, the food was insanely good. Super fresh, full of flavor, and everything came out fast, and I’ve gotta say - the waitresses were really friendly and seriously beautiful, which just made the whole experience even better. Definitely a place I’d come back to without thinking twice.

Excellent hummus, definitely worth ordering again.

We stumbled upon this place, and I'm not familiar with these dishes. But we had a wonderful meal. The desserts were also a surprise. I'll be back for the Shakshuka Merguez.

This restaurant really surprised me. The welcome was warm and professional. The menu offered a wide variety, from meat to vegetarian dishes. I chose the mushroom risotto – absolutely delicious. The portion was generous, and everything was perfectly seasoned. The staff was attentive and friendly, without being intrusive. The atmosphere was stylish yet relaxed. The dessert, a tiramisu, was sublime. I went home satisfied and will definitely return.

Food is good but the portion size for delivery is ridiculous for what you pay. We ordered the siniya dish which is a smaller portion than the sides of roasted veggies. We also order dtwo hummus dishes which are both supposed to come with sides but they sent us only one portion of the sides. Total disappointment

Good food. Service is quite slow though (took 25 min to get some extra pita and falafels) and it can be a bit noisy as other reviews indicate.

Good food, but the restaurant could be a bit busy and lound. We ordered hummus with chicken, falafel, trio plate (papa ganus, yogurt and tahini dips), roastee brocolli side. Very recommend to try the hummus, falafel and brocolli, they are amazing. The trio is not that great besides from the papa ganus (aubergine). The restaurant could be quite loud and busy if you prefer to have a more quiet setting.

I've now had 100 dinners at this fantastic bistro! Last night was number 100 👍👍 For me, going to D&A is like coming home, enjoying delicious food and friendly staff! The advantage is that I only have to cross the street and I arrive at the place where I can thoroughly enjoy what I wrote above. I can wholeheartedly recommend D&A! geert (a grateful guest)

Quality service, I really liked the very calm and peaceful atmosphere, as for the food it was delicious.

Delicious food! Lots of options, especially with children. The meat was really good and the portion size was also perfect. They have the best pita's in town hands down. Soft on the inside, crisp on the outside, a nice whiff of steam hugs you when you open them. Ow and the service is impeccable. We went on a busy Saturday afternoon. Yet they make you feel like you're well taken care of! This is going to become our regular spot now!

I've been to this shop three times in my short time here in Amsterdam and have never been disappointed. The hummus with roasted vegetables is simply amazing. I always top it with extra feta. They also serve baby carrots, pickled onions, cabbage, a super-spicy sauce, and an orange sauce that doesn't taste very lemony and is incredibly delicious. Baba ghanoush, labane, and tahini were also great. A definite recommendation if you're at the fair, or better yet, don't go there so I can still get a seat 😂🤣

How can this place get any less than 5 stars. Service was incredible and proactive. Food was delicious. Atmosphere an absolute vibe. I came alone around 6pm, before it got really busy. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and look forward to coming back on my next visit.

Really large portions, delicious hummus and meatballs. I like the falafel as well. Aperol spritz was also good. Good place if you are large group with different dietary restrictions.

Their hummus is wonderfully soft, creamy, and flavorful — truly one of the best I’ve had. The falafel is also excellent, crispy on the outside and full of flavor. This place used to be one of my go-to restaurants for hummus and falafel. Lately, though, I’ve noticed some changes. Prices have gone up (which is understandable), but the portions feel smaller. The complimentary salad tray is sometimes forgotten, and I’ve had to remind the staff more than once to get it. The hummus portions on the plate also seem reduced. That said, the service is warm and friendly, and the overall atmosphere is welcoming. With a bit more consistency, this spot could easily remain a favorite.

If you are looking for a gem where the food is authentically delicious (thank you Mo, Allan, Ziggy), the service is as friendly and genuine as can be (thank you Rivka, Ryan and especially Saul) with a casual and unassuming atmosphere … you will want to try D& A for a wonderful food experience.

Food is genuinely fantastic and the vibe is great.

The cauliflower hummus was good, but the falafel was too spicy for my taste. The pita was also good, made with whole wheat flour. The price was moderately high considering Amsterdam.

The hummus was delicious—very creamy and rich with tahini. I tried it with roasted vegetables, but it was mostly onions, with just one slice of eggplant, which was a bit disappointing. The falafel was fine, nothing particularly special. The complimentary tray was tasty and paired nicely with the other dishes.

I was having a good time at this place. Took a lovely fish dish (forgot its name, but the only one in the menu) offered me by a lovely waiter who seemed to be very attentive and spoke more than three languages, impressive! The sesame nugat piece accompanied with the coffee was also a lovely change. Thank you for a lovely time and unique food. Will come back soon when in town.

I had a very mediocre coffee here, which was accompanied by a delicious piece of nougat. The hummus and baba ganoush with freshly baked pita were excellent. Friendly service and a cozy terrace with mid-century lounge chairs.

What a lovely surprise this was. Hummus was smooth delicious and creamy. The falafel was crispy with just enough greens in it and the chicken and ktzitzot were spot on. Loved it.

Had a wonderful lunch. The bread was incredibly fresh, and the dishes were perfectly seasoned, just as you'd hope for at a specialty restaurant. An added bonus: friendly staff and cleanliness!

The interior is standard, but dining outside is pleasant. Service is reasonably quick and attentive. The hummus is excellent, as are the falafel. The classic Israeli shakshuka, eggs with tomato, peppers, and various spices, is the best. Worth a visit.

My partner and I had a wonderful dinner at D&A Hummus Bistro. The atmosphere was great and cheerful, truly a breath of the Mediterranean right in Amsterdam. Our waiter, Gal, took excellent care of us and thoughtfully suggested a tasting menu that let us enjoy a bit of everything — it was a perfect way to experience the rich, authentic flavors. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. To celebrate, they kindly offered us a small glass of arak — delicious and the perfect finish to the meal. The cozy, welcoming vibe combined with attentive service made the evening even more special. We’ll definitely be back! Sorry, no photos! We were just enjoying the food and I didn’t think of it :)

Nice place with a great hummus and falafel

This restaurant steals middle eastern dishes and calls it lsraeli. These dishes have been invented before this country ever existed. Shame.

The place has nice vibes and helpful staff however the food was really below average. As a supposedly middle eastern restaurant, it doesn’t taste like middle eastern food at all. The hummus is average. The Falafel needs better grinding of the ingredients and the Muttabal has no flavor at all. Also, the bread is not suitable for dipping. A shame to represent middle eastern cuisine like this.

Wow unbelievable the coffee was so small but the price was huge. This place is a complete rip off, expensive, no atmosphere, and everything that is wrong with Amsterdam now. Writing in English so international travellers stay away from crap places like this.

Had dinner at D&A Hummus Bistro with a big group. The food was absolutely delicious, everything super fresh and full of flavor. The staff is really sweet and welcoming, which made the experience even nicer. The place is a bit small for large groups, but they still managed to accommodate us really well. Would definitely come back, maybe with a smaller group next time to enjoy it even more!

We had lunch with 3 people. Nice place with terrace. Friendly service. No effort is too much for them and they take the initiative to please you. Kudos! We ordered the 'This & That' and the Shakshuka. The best falafel ever eaten. A fantastic salad, both in taste and texture. The humus in various dishes was as I ate it in Egypt, divine. The Shakshuka could have been a bit more exotic for me. Not cheap, but highly recommended.

Best falafel I have ever had - but the rest was okay! Bit confusing with the hummus since I expected to get a regular hummus and a roasted veggie hummus but it was just regular hummus with roasted veggies on top. Was not informed of this when placing the order. Service was fine but it did not feel welcoming.

One of the few restaurants where we managed to get a table, and then realized it was half empty for a reason. Arabic food stolen and served under the guise of Israeli food, and not even done well. Avoid.

The best humus we have ever tasted. Meatballs, falafel and eggplant were also very good. 5 dishes between 4 of us was enough. Good was quick and restaurant is in a nice area about 7 mins from metro. Highly recommend!

Excellent food, but waiters are not clear and patient to explain the 2 person menu, so we ended up ordering too much food. Everything was delicious. Halva with mint tea was great too. I would love to return before leaving.

I was surprised with the nasty behavior of one member of the staff, while taking a seat saying that all is reserved and I have implicitly to leave. There was a reservation bar in few tables but half of them were free and without a bar. Sorry no respect no customers.

We came as a group of 20 people and got a little bit of everything. The food was excellent and the portions were very generous. The staff was professional and accommodated every request, which is not so easy with 20 people. Overall a nice atmosphere, good food and excellent service. Highly recommended.

AMAZING pita. Hummus plates were perfect and a great size for sharing on the side or (what I personally love) for a meal. Ginger lemon tea was wonderful and came with great halva. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. Again great halva.

Fine. We keep coming back. It was very busy and therefore a lot of "noise". Fortunately the music was not loud as it was last year. The food was on the table very quickly and the desserts were surprisingly good. As in many restaurants, the lighting on or above the tables is moderate so you have to use the light on your phone to read the menu.

We ordered via Uber Eats, 90 Euro for four people. The taste was very disappointing, flat, tasteless. And little salad, vegetables... Way too expensive

Always fantastic! My kids love evenings when we bring home a take out from D&A. We usually take the share menu + some extras (kababonim). Also a perfect solution when we have spontaneous guests.
