What a lovely surprise this was. Hummus was smooth delicious and creamy. The falafel was crispy with just enough greens in it and the chicken and ktzitzot were spot on. Loved it.

Had a wonderful lunch. The bread was incredibly fresh, and the dishes were perfectly seasoned, just as you'd hope for at a specialty restaurant. An added bonus: friendly staff and cleanliness!

Great place! The food is special and made with lots of love. The hummus is amazing! The chef is a genius. I recommend ordering the cauliflower hummus – it’s my favorite dish!

The interior is standard, but dining outside is pleasant. Service is reasonably quick and attentive. The hummus is excellent, as are the falafel. The classic Israeli shakshuka, eggs with tomato, peppers, and various spices, is the best. Worth a visit.

What an incredible shakshukha, served with fluffy pita and a mixture of garnishes (the spicy one and mango one were both insanely good) - will definitely be back.

My partner and I had a wonderful dinner at D&A Hummus Bistro. The atmosphere was great and cheerful, truly a breath of the Mediterranean right in Amsterdam. Our waiter, Gal, took excellent care of us and thoughtfully suggested a tasting menu that let us enjoy a bit of everything — it was a perfect way to experience the rich, authentic flavors. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. To celebrate, they kindly offered us a small glass of arak — delicious and the perfect finish to the meal. The cozy, welcoming vibe combined with attentive service made the evening even more special. We’ll definitely be back! Sorry, no photos! We were just enjoying the food and I didn’t think of it :)

Nice place with a great hummus and falafel

The place has nice vibes and helpful staff however the food was really below average. As a supposedly middle eastern restaurant, it doesn’t taste like middle eastern food at all. The hummus is average. The Falafel needs better grinding of the ingredients and the Muttabal has no flavor at all. Also, the bread is not suitable for dipping. A shame to represent middle eastern cuisine like this.

Another fantastic place to eat falafel in Amsterdam. Freshly baked pita, creamy hummus with delicious dips and sour (vegetables). It doesn't get any better. Service is also great! Price quality quantity is more than fine here. Compliments!

Wow unbelievable the coffee was so small but the price was huge. This place is a complete rip off, expensive, no atmosphere, and everything that is wrong with Amsterdam now. Writing in English so international travellers stay away from crap places like this.

Had dinner at D&A Hummus Bistro with a big group. The food was absolutely delicious, everything super fresh and full of flavor. The staff is really sweet and welcoming, which made the experience even nicer. The place is a bit small for large groups, but they still managed to accommodate us really well. Would definitely come back, maybe with a smaller group next time to enjoy it even more!

We had lunch with 3 people. Nice place with terrace. Friendly service. No effort is too much for them and they take the initiative to please you. Kudos! We ordered the 'This & That' and the Shakshuka. The best falafel ever eaten. A fantastic salad, both in taste and texture. The humus in various dishes was as I ate it in Egypt, divine. The Shakshuka could have been a bit more exotic for me. Not cheap, but highly recommended.

Best falafel I have ever had - but the rest was okay! Bit confusing with the hummus since I expected to get a regular hummus and a roasted veggie hummus but it was just regular hummus with roasted veggies on top. Was not informed of this when placing the order. Service was fine but it did not feel welcoming.

One of the few restaurants where we managed to get a table, and then realized it was half empty for a reason. Arabic food stolen and served under the guise of Israeli food, and not even done well. Avoid.

I would give 6/5 if I could. Perfection in Hummus, service, and value. Came out with a little platter of pickled goodness! Waiter was wonderfully friendly, felt like eating at a friends house. Relaxed, homey, and absolutely best Hummus I’ve had in so long. The falafel was perfectly crispy. We at all the Vegan options!

The best humus we have ever tasted. Meatballs, falafel and eggplant were also very good. 5 dishes between 4 of us was enough. Good was quick and restaurant is in a nice area about 7 mins from metro. Highly recommend!

Excellent food, but waiters are not clear and patient to explain the 2 person menu, so we ended up ordering too much food. Everything was delicious. Halva with mint tea was great too. I would love to return before leaving.

I was surprised with the nasty behavior of one member of the staff, while taking a seat saying that all is reserved and I have implicitly to leave. There was a reservation bar in few tables but half of them were free and without a bar. Sorry no respect no customers.

We came as a group of 20 people and got a little bit of everything. The food was excellent and the portions were very generous. The staff was professional and accommodated every request, which is not so easy with 20 people. Overall a nice atmosphere, good food and excellent service. Highly recommended.

The level of D&A in Amsterdam remains high in all locations. Quick service, delicious food. Got seated without reservations and atmosphere was super chill. Generally place worth returning.

AMAZING pita. Hummus plates were perfect and a great size for sharing on the side or (what I personally love) for a meal. Ginger lemon tea was wonderful and came with great halva. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. Again great halva.

Can be walked from the RAi and can be ordered via the internet. Drinking tea while waiting for your order. Unpacked at home and what a delicious meal. Top quality, delicious flavors, a pleasure. Very nice people too.

Never been to a hummus bar before. Best food in town. Welcoming staff. Cozy atmosphere. Delicious beer. Fresh vegetables and bread. It was a delight. Will visit soon again.

Fine. We keep coming back. It was very busy and therefore a lot of "noise". Fortunately the music was not loud as it was last year. The food was on the table very quickly and the desserts were surprisingly good. As in many restaurants, the lighting on or above the tables is moderate so you have to use the light on your phone to read the menu.

We ordered via Uber Eats, 90 Euro for four people. The taste was very disappointing, flat, tasteless. And little salad, vegetables... Way too expensive

Always fantastic! My kids love evenings when we bring home a take out from D&A. We usually take the share menu + some extras (kababonim). Also a perfect solution when we have spontaneous guests.

This place is amazing and it’s the most favorite cafe in 30 sec from my home. Family place, lucky me to have it so close. You SHOULD eat here, food is amazing. Though it hurts the most from the loved ones. After ordering 11 times from my delivery service account, 10+ times from another family account and eating physically in the cafe additionally ~10-15 more times in the past few years, I did what I usually do: no time to cook, let me call and ask to prepare the beloved food. Done. Will be there in 15 min, very busy. Arriving in 20 min. Ready to eat… “We couldn’t make your order”. Why? “Not possible. Plus your are late.” But I called and we did it 10 times before right? “Wrong.” It’s difficult to earn the trust, it’s easy to loose it. To the manager who decided to stop our romance relationships - I don’t get it man. For the waiter who accepted the order though didn’t call to cancel it so I can rearrange the plans and eat somewhere else - why? So easy to call, I was driving specifically to you knowing my order is ready and my next plans are safe. Writing that because the waiter didn’t want me to speak with the manager. Sad.

We came here for dinner and it was delicious. I got the falafel hummus bowl and the falafel were cooked perfectly. The hummus was super smooth and tasted great. The meal came with 1.5 pitas and some vegetable sides. The value was great, and if you love hummus this is the place to go to!

Great, great, great! We had an amazing experience: food was unbelievable, every dish we tried was awesome. We had the “little bit of this, and little bit of that” sampler and a couple of more dishes: humus with shakshuka and plain humus. Every one was amazing, and the pita bread was stunning. The service was fast and the guys were very kind, the place was clean and we enjoyed a lot. The good ratings took us there, and it was definitely worth it! It’s a MUST TRY in Amsterdam!

We’ve had family dinner with all kind of great Israeli food, good priced too. Loved the kebab, humus and falafel dishes. Nice and relaxing atmosphere. We paid around €32 per person (party of 8) including main, desert and coffee.

Nice and affordable restaurant. It has a limited menu, but what it does have is excellent. The portions are large and filling, which ends up being good value for money. It is a simple restaurant, so not much atmosphere, but it has nice indoor and outdoor seating. It was weird not to be able to split the bill and pay separately. Weird rule not to take cards for anything less than 50 euros and should be made clear, especially in Amsterdam where cash is rarely used.

Nice food but I found the service really inattentive. In between we were not asked if we wanted something to drink. One girl was also very grumpy. Food was put down and that's it. In addition, I thought the 'this and that' menu was expensive for what you got (27.50 pp).

Nobody on the terrace. Didn't see any staff after ordering. Inside, staff were mainly busy talking to each other and using their mobile phones...

D&A hummus bistro is a cute little restaurant in Rivierenbuurt. I’ve tried their pita chips, baba ganoush, chicken with hummus, side chicken, falafel, grilled eggplant and shakshouka. Everything is so delicious. I’ve also ordered in the past, however, the experience of eating at the restaurant is way better.

Very tasty food, lots of different things to try, but unfortunately there was too much left at the end, smaller portions would be appropriate, the price per person for the dish “A Bit of this and a bit of that” was unfortunately too expensive

I was for the first time and I liked the food and service.

The location in Maasstraat is lively, but without the chaos of the centre, which makes for a very pleasant lunch experience. The food is tasty (plenty of vegan/vegetarian options) and the quality/price ratio is relatively ok, given that we are talking about Amsterdam. We just found the service a bit underwhelming, unfortunately. The girls were lovely and polite, but not very knowledgeable about menu items and not quite fast either (20 min to bring us menus after they sat us down). To be fair, though, they allowed us to sit longer than our reservation stated, and for that we were grateful. I would recommend it for the food and the overall vibe!

One could get annoyed when the person helping you doesn't understand your orders in Dutch. But our waiter did even though she obviously wasn't a native. We came in for an afternoon bite, ordered humus with chicken and an extra egg, but only for one person, What we got, was so much deliciousness that we skipped diner that evening. Thanks for the 3 extra falafel balls! We enjoyed every bit of everything.

Beautiful day to sit on the patio and watch the world go by. Had a pickle tasting platter followed by the best falafel I've had in 30 years.
