Great place for locals to meet. They are really good with coffee and their croissant is quite good although I'm not the expert on the latter. Wonderful service as well. I highly recommend this spot. Behind the cafe there are various creative businesses and they sell some of their products through the cafe.

Utrecht's finest. They treat coffee like fine wine and life like a young alcoholic's korsakoff. It's one of those places that's see and be seen, not unlike a northwestern european equivalent of the riviera. Their buttercake is bound to become the national standard and the music is more eclectic than a 4AM afterparty in antwerp. Did I mention you can play Mario Kart here? You can play N64 Mario Kart here. It's peak hipster culture that has to be experienced at least once. 10/10 would beat Super Mario World (SNES) while drinking fancy flat whites (for a whole afternoon) again.

Very cute and cozy coffee spot. It feels like you’re in a cozy living room having a coffee so the atmosphere is very nice in my opinion. It is harder to get seating during rush hours so be mindful of that, but besides that the chai lattes are very tasty here and the staff is friendly too.

Koffie leute has it all, coffee, food, work space, chill space, LPs, cassettes, tees —- it’s like the ideal place to hang and get all your assorted needs sorted! So hip, so fresh and everyone somehow feels like they’re responsible for upkeep of the place. I saw numerous people help each other out — it feels like a community rather than a coffee shop

Came there almost every day until today. Today, after initially being ignored, I was told that to Go would be difficult as there were 25 orders in. I don't understand the difference and just left it at that. I am an entrepreneur myself and would never dare say this to my customer. Shame

I used to be a regular and have my Sunday morning coffee there frequently. But then they put up the ‘Justice Now’ poster in the window. For anyone familiar with the political atmosphere in the city, this sign is literally against peace and supports eliminating the Jewish people. I do not and will not support businesses that choose violence over peace. Choose your politics better, folks. It costs you business.

Ideal cafe right on the canal in downtown Utrecht. The place always has a great vibe, the folks running it are really lovely. They love their coffee, so they're serving up some great specialty. When I was there they were serving up a couple of different Dutch roasters which was nice. Also their baked goods are amazing. The lemon cake is really phenomenal, as are the brownie and the banana bread. The interior is really comfortable for hanging out or working in, bunch of old eclectic furniture. If you're into it they have Super Nintendo and an N64 hooked up to tvs with some classics like Mario Kart if you're into that.

The coffee is one of the best in Utrecht, no doubt about it, and, of course, the staff is friendly and welcoming ✨ Next time I’m coming back for a grilled cheese sandwich 🥪 P.S.: Food is served from 10:00 AM, but before that time, you can pair your coffee drink with delicious pastry 🥮

Used to come here every now and then, but lately some of the staff members aren't kind at all. Also they charge you for plant based milk (which I think is weird for an open minded, inclusive minded place). That is old fashioned and not beneficial for the climate/animals. And it takes ages before it's served. Such a pity, but I will go elsewhere next time.

Delicious coffee in a nice atmosphere.

The coffee was delicious! I had an oat milk cappucino and the milk had a nice smooth taste. Moreover, despite an alternative milk choice, the shape in the milk was beautiful. It was served on a board with nice cups, without handles. However, this was not a problem because the coffee was not too hot and I could drink it almost immediately. There was no free cookie with the coffee and we decided to try the Brownie and butter cookie. I didn't like the Brownie, but this is partly my fault because I didn't look at the ingredients and don't like the (I think) cranberries. If I divide Brownies into cake-like, dry and creamy, this one was creamy. I like this, but I didn't like the taste. I am very pleased with the butter cake, it was delicious! There was softer music to be heard and a lot of variety in seating options. From benches to low-sitting chairs to stools. Please note that you must order yourself or speak to someone walking around.

Great coffee and a wonderful sunny spot for a cold morning

Food was ok, but service was terrible. Not an inviting place to be with rude waiters and staff not able to handle stress.

Today, I was scolded by a waitress for bringing my own cookie. She was right and I shouldn't have done that but the tone and attitude was awkwardly harsh. It was not the notorious Dutch directness, it was just unnecessary reaction. I mean, I don't bring my food with me all the time, only a casual reminder would suffice. Anyway, the coffee is great and the atmosphere is awesome, but I won't go near this cafe anytime soon.

Cozy place to drink coffee and pick up. Tastes very good.

Coffee was really good. But first the filter was warm, not hot — it was quickly replaced by fresh & hot 💕 I liked peanut butter sandwich a lot, a “no avocado” sandwich was strange and kinda empty, too light, and the egg was cold, we’d like it to be warm.. Overall I loved the place and the guys are really nice! Can’t wait to come there again🙂 Also we enjoyed a few board games, I almost started learning how to play chess..

Very unfriendly people. Visited with a young puppy and was immediately chased away when she tried to sniff a plant that no one was allowed to get near "their garden". Don't bring your business to such unfriendly people.

Hip place with huge sitting areas and friendly staff.

This is the perfect place for (young) people who want to chill or work. Very homely furnishings. We sat outside at the Vaartsche Rijn. Which gives a nice view. It took a very long time for the coffee to arrive. My cappuccino was delicious and beautifully made. Unfortunately, Atto didn't like his coffee.

Wat een sfeer hier! Ik ben er geweest voor koffie en om er een ochtendje te studeren. Dit heb ik in alle rust kunnen doen met genoeg rumoer om me heen. De koffie was ook goed en het personeel vriendelijk. Zeker een aanrader voor een casual koffietje!

Ligger grymt fint vid kanalen, händer mycket utanför av folk och båtar som puttrar förbi. Kaffet är av hög kvalitet, får det alltid ordentligt gjort. Finns mycket att titta på inne i lokalen som har härliga prylar runtomkring. Stort plus att toaletten alltid varit fräsch de gånger jag vart där.

Really disappointed in this place, has a lot of potential but it’s never lived up to the hype. Tried it a few times and while the coffee is decent, the service has always been awful. Just today I ordered a simple batch brew, sat down at the bar across from the barista, after 45mins walked out without ever seeing my coffee. I always give a place a chance but I can’t justify coming back. Go to The Village, they’ll treat you right there.

Heerlijke ontspannen jaren 70 sfeer met goede koffie en heerlijk bananenbrood. Wacht niet tot iemand een bestelling komt opnemen want dat gebeurt heel onregelmatig/niet, loop dus zelf ff naar de bar.

Had the grilled cheese and it was really good! Comfortable seating area, and they had a small gaming area with consoles hooked up to the TV.

Bello per le console che ci puoi giocare e l’atmosfera molto anni 90, ma per il resto non abbiamo ricevuto nessun tipo di accoglienza i croissant crudi, le rotelle alla cannella dure come il muro e ho chiesto un latte caldo e mi è arrivato un caffe latte (odio il caffe)

Hippe plek om een koffie te doen of te studeren. Enorm leuk ingericht. Bediening is wel heel laid back, je moet zelf naar ze toe gaan om te zeggen dat je wil bestellen. Had een broodje met warme pindakaas en degene waarmee ik was had een tosti. Beiden heerlijk! Prijzen wel wat aan de hoge kant. Al met al aan te raden om een keer te proberen

Leuk plekje, maar ik vond de koffie echt niet te pruimen. Wellicht een kwestie van smaak maar gezien hun naam en imago wel een lichte teleurstelling voor mij.

It's my regular coffeeshop since I discovered it. Funky decorations inside and one of the best cappuccinos I've ever tasted. Service is pretty good and people are always friendly. Definitely recommended.
