Coffee Mundo The Library in Wijk 01 Sittard

What a wonderful cafe in downtown Sittard, we wanted to take my twins out for there 10 birthday breakfast for some pancakes and spoiling, the staff were great and the food as good as the pictures. Thank you for a wonderful meal.

I had a delicious lunch. The thick slice of Japanese-style rustic bread topped with wasabi nuts was delicious. I also drank a glass of apple and cinnamon tea.

Nice place for coffee, chai, and pastries. Good value for money.

Coffee tastes awful. It needs to be brewed in clean machine. They have better coffee in another location at the center. Never coming back to library location. Coffee cups are not washed properly either.

Good coffee, not strong, not weak, and not bitter...a crowd pleaser (I like my coffee a bit less bitter). Service was okay...nice place, next to the library, newspapers, and a large reading table. The clientele is diverse (students, workers, mothers, etc.). The direct access to the library is also nice. Coffee is expensive...€3.60 for a cappuccino. No bike parking; people do park their bikes, but it's not really convenient. The fence around the edge of the library is also used, but it's also not convenient.

Disappointing experience I ordered a matcha, but unfortunately it did not meet my expectations at all. The taste was far too milky and you could hardly taste the matcha itself. The color also looked dull and unappealing, which immediately did not give a good impression. To make matters worse, the lid was poorly placed, causing a large part of the drink to leak. Really a shame — I had hoped for a good matcha, but this was a waste of my money.

I had to ask the young waitress 3 times to please butter the bread. In the end I got unbuttered bread. I returned the food to the kitchen to be buttered. In the end I got it back unchanged with the comment from the waitress: the chef does not butter the bread. I got a frozen tiny tub of butter with it. The bread was tasteless. The price/quality of this scrambled egg was very bad. Not to be repeated.

A small jug of water with coffee would make the total price better. Great atmosphere, nice workspace

Had dinner here with a friend. It took a while before someone came to take our order while the staff were chatting together. Furthermore, friendly service. The food was fine.

Cute coffee spot with a decent food menu. The homemade ice tea was really nice, felt I got a good value for price. Overall prices were more fair compared to other places lately. Staff extremely friendly. I want to go back just to ask which salad dressing they use.

Beans roasted over a month ago, so anything but fresh. The door opens and closes continuously, leaving you dying of cold. Maybe make a rail with a curtain or something like that? You can easily afford that with those coffee prices.

I've been coming here for a few years, always great coffee and friendly staff. Had a sandwich with burrata, prociutto and fig today, really enjoyed it! Nice atmosphere for a coffee date, with a laptop or alone!

Cafe Mundo (The Library) in Sittard is a gem! I had the scrambled eggs with gluten-free (glutenvrij) bread, avocado, and a mixed salad topped with a delicious vinaigrette that was absolutely divine. My vanilla café macchiato was the perfect accompaniment. As someone with celiac disease, traveling can be stressful, especially when navigating language barriers. However, the staff here spoke excellent English, fully understood my allergy, and put my mind at ease. Most importantly, I didn’t get sick, so I know they took the necessary precautions. Highly recommend this spot for its amazing food, friendly service, and attention to dietary needs. A must-visit if you’re in Sittard!

Excellent coffee for a good price.

Yet another “smart” entrepreneur who makes the wrong cuts. Who cuts out that little bit of lettuce from a sandwich? Why is bread served without butter? And Scrambled eggs without salt? Very slow delivery of orders.

Very nice seating, spacious inside and outside. And very tasty vegan cakes.

Very lovely place with great cakes and the cappuccino is also awesome - what I noticed though is that the cake slices are getting thinner and thinner 😂

Been here before, the coffee is good, just the atmosphere less so. It is a modern tent with a rather industrial look, you have to love it. Staff very friendly.

Nice place to eat. Fine dishes on the menu. A bit overpriced for what you get, but sometimes you can treat yourself ;). The red velvet cake and the lemon cheesecake are recommended!

Haven't been back in years after several bad experiences. Gave it another chance today. Took a seat at a dirty, sticky table. All other tables were also uncleaned and dirty. We looked at the crumpled menu to see what we wanted to eat and drink. Waited 20 minutes, no one came to take an order. Finally left again. Of course we could have ordered at the counter, but apparently we have to, otherwise you have to wait until you weigh an ounce. Looking at the price, the dirt and poor service, unfortunately little has changed.

Ate delicious sandwiches. Coffee was perfect too.

The coffee is tasty, but the price-quality ratio could be better. It's nice that they have a separate menu during the Oktoberfest! :)

Bij deze zaak ben ik met mijn zoontje gaan lunchen. Helaas waren ze zijn tosti vergeten en kregen we deze ruim 25 minuten later pas. Dit terwijl de bediening na het constateren eerst een ander bestelling opnam en zij de tosti eerder kregen. Dit was erg vervelend omdat het om een kind van 3 gaat en we 2 keer moesten vragen om het op de radar van het personeel te krijgen. Zo leek het in elk geval. Daarnaast werd ook het servies van de vorige klanten niet van onze tafel afgeruimd gedurende ons bezoek. Toen ik het nogmaals terugkoppelde (binnen) tijdens de betaling en vroeg of er vanwege het ongemak iets aan de rekening/voor mijn kindje kan worden gedaan (al was het een koffiekoekje, vooraf), voelde ’baas’ Koen zich erg aangevallen. Toen ik aangaf dat ik dit niet netjes vond, bleef hij volhouden dat ik de standaarden niet hoefde te bepalen. Dit gebeurde op een ronduit brutale manier, terwijl ik simpelweg mijn ervaring terugkoppelde. Jammer dat er in de horeca zulke gastheren werken, en sneu voor het personeel wat wel echt hard werkte. Ik kom hier niet meer terug en mensen in mijn omgeving kiezen in het vervolg ook liever een gastvrije en nette gelegenheid in Sittard (zoals Down Under, of de Gats bijvoorbeeld) want die zijn er gelukkig genoeg. Jammer Koen, misschien had je je dag niet, maar zo verlies je wel klandizie en doe je de naam van de zaak geen goeds!

I went to this place for lunch with my son. Unfortunately they forgot his sandwich and we didn't get it until more than 25 minutes later. While the waiter first took another order after noticing it, they received the sandwich earlier. This was very annoying because it concerns a 3 year old child and we had to ask twice to get it on the staff's radar. At least that's how it seemed. In addition, the crockery of previous customers was not cleared from our table during our visit. When I reported it again (inside) during payment and asked if something could be done about the bill/for my child due to the inconvenience (even if it was a coffee biscuit, in advance), 'boss' Koen felt very attacked. When I indicated that I did not think this was appropriate, he continued to insist that I did not have to set the standards. This happened in a downright brutal way, while I was simply reporting back my experience. It's a shame that such hosts work in the hospitality industry, and it's a pity for the staff who really worked hard. I will not come back here again and people in my area would prefer to choose a hospitable and neat place in Sittard in the future, because fortunately there are enough of them. Too bad Koen, maybe you didn't have your day, but you will lose customers and you will not do the name of the business any good!

Really nice cafe. Staff immediately switched to English when they realised my Dutch was sketchy at best and the service was amazing. 10/10 experience

Breakfast was great, service very good. Super friendly staff. And a very nice atmosphere.

We ordered, among other things, 2 strawberry-banana smoothies, which were served promptly. Unfortunately they both tasted like mango. Indicated that we had ordered strawberry-banana smoothies, after checking this, it turned out that the smoothies were made with quite a bit of mango juice. One of us really doesn't like mango and it could be exchanged for something else according to the employee. Ultimately, when paying, it turned out that it had not been charged at all and we also had to pay for the smoothie. We were not told this in advance, otherwise someone else would have drunk this smoothie. The pieces of apple pie were very small, they were gone in just a few bites. And for that price. Really scandalous! No more coffee mundo!!

A busy cafe, but with good food and nice caffee. The service was great. The atmosphere welcoming, bright big windows, lots of lights.

This is a great place to have a delicious breakfast/brunch/lunch/snack and the coffee and drink selection is really good as well. I've been here a couple of times now and the staff has always been very friendly and attentive which is much appreciated! The location, so close to the city center, makes it easy to park and you have great access to all of the shops nearby. I highly recommend grabbing a bite to eat or a delicious drink at Coffee Mundo next time your in Sittard!

The service took some time, but when the order came, we enjoyed the iced coffee. The velvet cake was a bit disappointing unfortunately, I won't order it again. But the atmosphere was good enough to come back again 💪🏼.

Coffee Mundo staat in Sittard bekend om hun heerlijke en uitgebreide koffie assortiment inclusief sirups. Vandaag kwamen we er toevallig achter dat er ook best een uitgebreide lunchkaart aanwezig is bij dit filiaal. De zaak is gelegen naast de bibliotheek en heeft ook een directe doorgang naar de bibliotheek wat dit een uitstekende spot maakt voor studenten. Van binnen is de zaak modern en hip. Buiten beschikt het over een terras dat deels in de zon ligt. Bediening is vriendelijk en de koffies zijn heerlijk. De lunch doet niet onder. Zowel het broodje met gepocheerd ei als de poke bowl met tonijn waren heerlijk. De brownie was machtig maar een beetje droog. Een zeer fijne lunchzaak waar wij zeker vaker gaan komen.

The coffee is good but the atmosphere is like a train station and everything is very impersonal. The kind of cosiness that you would find in southern German cafés or cafés in major German cities is not present here. You also have to pay high parking fees here, which completely ruined my enjoyment.

Nice place for breakfast. The menu is extensive so lots of choices. They have coffee to go if you're grabbing breakfast on the run. Met a friend here and we both had croissants with ham & cheese and a hot drink for 5 Euro each.
