Coffee-star in Wijk 28 Wippolder

Very disappointing to see a business on campus making a profit from students instead of being student-friendly. When you want to return the cup coin and take your 1 euro back, they refuse to give your own money. Even if you don’t need this coin anymore because you have your cup, they make a profit “from student” by detaining their money. There’s the same system around the NL, but for the first time, I saw a business that detained the students’ one euro. Also, their employees were also very rude and disrespectful.

They refuse to give your own money back that you gave for the cup. I brought the cup back and told them I didn’t need a coin anymore. Just explained kindly and requested my “own money back”. They didn’t give it back and were so rude and disrespectful. I won’t buy anything here even if I am starving and share it with everyone.

It's a hit and miss. Most baristas are not trained on how to steam milk for cappuccino. At the same time, they are largely students. It made sense when they were undercutting the market, but these days, the other places have similar price as them. And you get proper microfoam, with better beans and trained baristas in other places. Such as cafe labs or Anne&max. EDIT: I also feel the owner is just using the baristas who are usually students and friendly, unfortunately as resources and the location in the academic building as an advantage.

Good service and nice place to have a coffee with someone. Billie cups are used, which are reusable plastic cups for which you pay 1 euro once. Enough choice of coffee/tea and other snacks. It is located in a library but is closed off from the quieter areas.

Nice place and decent coffee. The atmosphere in Delft always gives a large amount of nostalgia.

Personeel doet de helft van de tijd andere dingen of praten met elkaar en de service is extreem langzaam. Bestelde gember thee waar nog niet eens 2 volledige plakken gember in zaten. Tot slot, dit is persoonlijke smaak, maar de bonen die gebruikt worden zijn ook niet lekker. Keer op keer een koude douche als ik daar wat haal.

Die Tische hätten sauberer sein können. Ansonsten hat das Café das Billie - System eingeführt. An sich gut, aber man bekommt seinen Becher Pfand am Schluss nicht wieder, wie üblicherweise, sondern einen Plastikchip, den man beim nächsten Mal nur hier eintauschen kann.

Quite expensive. The coffee is never ‘hot’ just luke warm. Often the bakery items are old and soggy as well.

The coffee is great but a bit pricey if you go for the larger options.

It’s okay but quite expensive, it would be great if they offered more healthy selection of food.

Please get more baristas at the Coffeestar at IDE. The queues and waiting time is extremely long in the mornings when there is only one person on duty.

Heerlijke koffie en snelle, vriendelijke bediening. Je kunt je eigen beker meenemen, anders krijg je een papieren beker.

Inside the library, good coffee and friendly Staff

Ondanks dat ik zelf niet echt bepaald een echte koffieliefhebber ben haal ik hier de lekkerste dingen. Het is ook fijn om hier tijdens het studeren pauze te houden omdat het gezellig is ingericht.

Price is on the higher side, but I believe that is adequately reflected by the taste of the coffee: it just tastes better than most cafes.

If you ask me where to get the best coffee on the tu, I'd send you here. You do notice that quality = cost as it is not the cheapest.

At TU Delft central library you can have coffee of very good quality at Coffee Star. At peak hourse there is always a queue and most of the time no seat is available to sit inside but there are plenty in the library. Their normal cups are big enough but the cost is also a bit higher. Overall it is totally recommanded.

Relaxed atmosphere, tasty coffee, special season flavors. There is also some simple food available (sandwiches, cookies, fruits). You can ask for a stamp card (completion will grant you free coffee of your choice).
