Great relaxed atmosphere with excellent cappuccino. I would have given this 5 stars if it wasn't because the girl & the boy on this day started looking up things on a phone in the middle of preparing my cappuccino. It didn't take long, but honestly not what I find customer service. I come very often, and this happened 1 time. No disaster, but didn't make a 5 due to this mishap.

The workers have an attitude and the matcha tastes like nothing. I had an iced vanilla matcha latte and it just tasted like ice...no vanilla or matcha flavor.

I’ve been coming here for years now and have truly become a regular. And for good reason: the atmosphere is always incredibly nice and cozy, and the coffee is truly delicious. ☕️ What makes this place especially special to me are the staff. They work incredibly hard, are always friendly, and make sure you feel welcome. When you visit a place almost daily and still walk in with pleasure after all these years, that really says it all. Absolutely one of my favorite coffee shops! ❤️

Terrible service. We stood waiting in front of the counter for a full 5 minutes before 1 of the 4 (!) staff members even acknowledged our presence. Mind you, it wasn't because they didn't realise we were there. We were standing right in front of them while they ignored us. And we were literally the only people at the counter. Very disrespectful and unwelcoming. I will not go there again.

Employees are more focused on each other than on the customers. However, there is a wide selection of drinks.

Review updated after several visits over the past year. Overall a huge improvement and highly recommended! First of all, a huge improvement due to expanding the menu and installing a display case. Previously, I saw customers in front of me in line constantly touching the cakes/croissants only to then not buy them. Thanks to the display case, I feel that it is much more hygienic. And that motivates people to order something to eat. I almost always drink an iced or regular chai here. It is made very differently, though, even though I ask for it to be made stronger. And every now and then we have a piece of cake with it. Those are almost always fresh, except for the last time. That was a shame. Almost no broken glasses anymore. I only still see it with the plates. So, as far as I'm concerned, that is the only area for improvement. The staff was already friendly, but is now much faster. Customers are served more quickly and they listen much better to the order, meaning things hardly ever go wrong anymore. That is very nice, so it is also a huge improvement compared to before. It is busy here around lunchtime and on weekends, but at other times or days there is almost always a place to sit.

High priced coffee in the heart of the mall. There is sufficient place inside and there is significant amount of seating outside (still inside the mall, but less cozy). Baristas are sometimes too busy having a chat, instead of prioritizing customers. Good - plenty of choice - quite quick with food and drinks Improve - pricing seems a bit steep. Improved (thank you +1 star) - please put your food (muffins and cakes) behind a glass or in a container. Now it's all sitting open next to the counter with everyone breathing and coughing on it. (Major negative scoring for this)

Edit on 10/04/2026: In response to the owner’s comment below I like to say that although I understand you do everything possible, at this point it is obviously not enough. If I would remove the review (that is harmful to the business), then it might be harmful to your clients. As you probably know, the mice can spread infections even without contacting the food - they can run and infect cooking surfaces, cutlery, cups etc I sincerely hope that you can escalate this matter to the landlord, to increase the measures immediately, to replace the doors or do something else to change the situation. If this is the landlord’s area of responsibility, then make them fully accountable for this situation, not your clients.

Too warm milk, no coffee taste in flat white

A delicious cup of coffee! The apple pie was mediocre, the whipped cream was fine, but the plate had just come out of the dishwasher and was very warm, so the whipped cream was a puddle after a minute. The muffin, however, was delicious!

No cash payments accepted here. Ridiculous

Service is very slow. Barristers are inexperienced people who always forget orders and the waiting times take forever. Don’t go there.

I go there since it was coffee company, amazing coffee and service! Now it is always crowded and a queue only because the people at the counter are sooo damnn slow! They gossip within each other, they take their sweet time. Sometimes rude and not efficient at all! Sad there is no coffee company around.

If coffee were an Olympic sport, this Amsterdam coffee house would at least make the finals. The coffee is excellent—strong enough to wake you up but smooth enough to keep you civilized—and the atmosphere invites you to sit, sip, and pretend you’re not checking the weather every five minutes. It’s also a great break while in the mall—perfect for recharging before more shopping or recovering from it. The spot is ideal for people-watching, casual conversations, or quietly judging your own life choices while staring into a very well-made latte. Friendly service, cozy seating, and peak Amsterdam vibes make this an easy four stars. ☕😄

Good coffee. The big cups, really big.... The usual selection of cakes is fresh and delicious. A little noisy because of the children's playground, but that's probably the reason for the location....

One employee serving drinks was extremely rude. Coffee can be spilled a bit when handed. Overpriced drinks for the poor quality. It used to be coffee company.

Formerly a Coffee Company, it's now a coffeehouse. The coffee tastes great. I go there regularly, but sometimes the milk is piping hot, and other times it's perfectly acceptable. I personally find the service terrible. If I ordered one coffee, one cola, and two cakes, they should at least give me a tray. And all at once. First I got the coffee, then I had to run to get the cake, then run back to get a glass of ice cream. It's simply not well-organized, and that's the manager's fault. The coffee-making staff are doing their best. So, management, train your staff better and set a good example. Until next time!

I only just discovered this café today. I wish I lived closer to it and wasn’t just passing through. The prices are so reasonable (compared to what I would pay at cafés in my area closer to Centrum), the food is good and the drinks are great. The one thing that made me want to come and post a review is the customer service - the staff are warm and friendly and kind. I was served at two different times today and both members of staff were consistent in being present, attentive to my needs and helpful. The other plus is that they have four items in their pastry case that are GLUTEN-FREE!! My son is gluten intolerant and it was lovely to find that they had options for him. I just had to order a few of the GF items to-go (for my wife) after we were done.

Staff denied to take my order at 16:58, saying it is closed, while the official close is at 17:00. I dont think this is polite and nice. I also noticed the name is not coffee company anymore.

The atmosphere is really pleasant and the staff is friendly and warm. The coffee and other drinks are good and the food is solid for a coffee shop (great for a quick toast or slice of cake). Highly recommend for anyone looking for welcoming place for a coffee break or to get work done.

I’ve been a loyal customer of this place for years, back when it was Coffee Company. Since the change in ownership and name, the experience has gone downhill—not because the coffee is worse, but because the staff are slow and, at times, shockingly rude. Today, I visited twice. In the afternoon, with only two customers ahead of me, it took 15 minutes just to order. Three staff members stood chatting, barely paying attention. In the evening, I returned with five friends. Again, it wasn’t busy—yet ordering took 20 minutes. When I asked why, I was told to “talk to the manager.” They announced twice that they were closing and only serving takeaway—fine. But when I picked up a tray to carry six drinks out to my friends, one of the staff members suddenly snapped at me. I reminded her that I understood it was takeaway, but I needed the tray to carry the drinks. Instead of listening, she kept raising her voice. It’s a shame to see such a once-great spot lose its reputation—not because of quality, but because of poorly trained, disrespectful staff.

To be honest, my experience at this café is different every day. I always drink Chailatte with almond milk. The last three times, it has only gotten more expensive, and unfortunately, I am not getting value for my money. The last part was worse done than the last. I can safely say it felt like dishwater. It was a café I liked coming to, until I changed jobs. I expect standards to be introduced and for the staff to be more attentive. I wanted to write about an area for improvement. I hope things get better. The last time was really bad for me. No one serious working there. I waited half an hour for a latte, and no one was around. Sorry, but that was my real last time here.

Great place! Excellent service! They only had a really delicious lemon meringue pie that you could only get there for years. I went there specifically for this pie. Unfortunately, it seems they've discontinued it, which is a shame 💔

It used to be a coffee company, but it's recently changed to a coffeehouse. The food is pretty much the same, but there's a small playground next door, so it's quite noisy with lots of kids running around. If you want to have a quiet coffee, you should avoid it 😛

A lovely place with a good selection of sweet treats to go with your coffee. Even with a long line, the staff remains friendly and will happily help you get a delicious cup of coffee. Even the dog gets a bowl of water.

I had lunch here in January 2025. There's no table service; you have to order at the counter. You also have to pick up hot drinks yourself once they're ready. The sandwiches were brought to the table. The Cajun chicken panini was half covered in a thin layer of chicken. The capris was also very sparsely filled. Honestly, I was quite shocked. The prices aren't very high, but I'd rather pay a bit more than eat dry bread. I'll never order from here again.

The place deserves more recognition! I had a delicious Dirty Chai and a carrot cake was really good, both for 8€. Definitely recommend!

Since the takeover and it's no longer a Coffeecompany, things have really gone downhill. The coffee is always piping hot, and the (cheese) croissants aren't what they used to be and are much less tasty. Personally, it used to be great, but now there are always different people there. I've given it three tries now because I thought I was just getting unlucky, but unfortunately, it's just not comparable to what it used to be.

Koffie was goed (capucino en espresso) maar de bediening was verwarrend en kon beslist klantvriendelijker, vooral aan de kassa.

The coffee is delicious, as usual. There are just no outlets here to charge your devices. Cons: - No charging available - The tent is full of flies (but that's a bit of an exaggeration)

Great for a cup of (expensive🙈) coffee, nice central place to people watch or read a book. Service quite slow, there is no service because you have to stand and wait until your coffee is ready. I actually always find it quite grubby, which is a shame!

Wat een ballentent. Moet je in de rij om je koffie te bestellen. Die rij lijkt niet lang, maar was in werkelijkheid veeeeeeel langer en wel zo lang dat mensen maar op een plaats gingen zitten omdat die twee 'barista's' het niet aan konden. Zowaar koffie in een kopje, maar 'de schoteltjes waren op'. De Americano was niet heet, in ieder geval niet heet genoeg. Je krijgt nooit een tweede kans voor een eerste kennismaking!

Had a coffee and a slice of (dry old) cake. Coffee was ok but not special. But how dirty it is there! Sticky tables, dirty floors, chairs with crumbs and other mess on them. Everything looks dingy. They no longer have a toilet, it used to be so dirty. Staff is slow, not really interested/or friendly and prices are ridiculous.

Very nice for a quick coffee and snack! I’m in love with the carrot cake, would 100% recommend. Not too sweet, just right! This location isnt the best study spot because of the uncomfortable seating for longer study sessions. If youre here for a short time, or just want to quickly finish some work its perfect though!

As a former resident, I now and then come back to visit family and friends, and we enjoy something delicious to eat and drink together. Well, brace yourself for my review. - Extremely dirty terrace with a queue all the way outside. - Terribly slow, absent and minimal staff deployment. - A barking team leader who gets on top of the staff but does nothing herself, even customers looked at this in disgust. - Very expensive and worst quality of pastries and coffee on the square. - When you stand at the soft drink cooler, there is a bad smell coming from behind the swinging door, which can never be fresh and is a hotbed of bacteria. - My daughter is frightened by the mice running in and around the tent. - Are you going for a stomach infection? Is this the way to catch one, given the lax working methods and poor hygiene of this business. It's a shame that the place has been occupied on this well-known square in Amsterdam. I don't hope for improvement, but that it will be forced to close after an NVWA inspection. This would be the best option for a scandalous place like this. Too bad I can't give it lower than 1 star, because it deserves a zero that many people seem to agree with, a meaningless response from various "owners" who do nothing themselves goes straight into the trash. I and my acquaintances will never set foot here again.

So many negative reviews and yet nothing changes at all. After a long time I gave it another try. Immediately regretted it. Last Sunday... There was only one lady in front of me. I stood there for about fifteen minutes before I was helped. An employee arrived with two sandwiches. Nobody came to pick it up. Then two cappuccinos. Not even for anyone. Finally, an employee behind the counter drank the coffee. Hahaha. Serious??? I ordered a medium capuccino. There was only foam and air in there. Waste of money. There was a layer of freshly squeezed orange juice by the sink. The fruit flies did a happy dance. Bah!!! And to think that there were four employees behind the counter. There were more people complaining. Cold tea etc. It's a shame. Then put a DE café or a Starbucks there. This is three times nothing. It's only going to get worse.

I was here on a Wednesday afternoon and it was busy but not absurdly busy. However, I stood in line for more than 15 minutes to order a cappuccino! Did I have an entire village in front of me? No, only 5 people, but because the baristas also started serving orders in between, we customers had to wait unnecessarily long in front of the counter until we could finally place an order. Maybe I just had a bad day, but given this experience I wouldn't eat anything here again anytime soon.

Gezellig rust moment in het winkelcentra. Het eten kon ik nu niet oordelen. Maar de vriendelijkheid van het personeel, is prima in orde. De koffie is goed warm. Ondanks de open ruimte, heb je toch een redelijk wat privacy.
