The music was good, the service at the bar was less so. I ordered bacon, tasted good, but only coleslaw.

As a woman, I was suddenly punched in the face because I was standing between two men who were arguing. Security didn't do anything because it was a good, paying regular customer. So, no more cafe confetti.

This place is shaming lgbtq+ people, especially trans guys, tried to enter here but security didn't even look at my ID and tried to throw me out using rude language based on my identity.

!! Edit!! : I have now contacted the security company. They took this seriously and apologized. They also talked to the security guard in question. Unfortunately, he probably confused the gentlemen with others or found it difficult to admit his mistake and gave incorrect information to the security company. This also refers to the company. Original review: After years of being a guest at Confetti, I was unfortunately shocked by the discrimination that took place with my husband and his friends last night. My husband and 2 friends (South American descent, all over 24, and living in the Netherlands for 5 years) wanted to have a drink (sober) with confetti yesterday evening. After showing their ID card, they were not allowed in because they have a refugee background. Something important to mention is that 2 of them have had a residence permit for more than a year and have mastered the Dutch language well. In a very rude manner the guard told them to go to the tent next door. When the boys asked for an explanation, the answer was '3 men with temporary residence, refugees, this gives me a bad feeling, go somewhere else'. Very shocked that someone is turned away based on a valid ID card. These men have been fighting for years to build a life in the Netherlands because their lives were in danger in their country of origin. These guys are the sweetest, most harmless men who will let you into your club. The way the guard talked to them is what scared the men the most: it really was as if these boys were not equal human beings. Sad event that seems to show that there is discrimination, perhaps on the basis of skin color, but in any case on the basis of residence permit. We also contacted confetti itself by email about this. How me and my Dutch friends know this place does not resonate with how my husband was treated by this guard. So we hope to find a suitable solution. Hopefully this won't happen again to others. A personal apology to at least these 3 men would be very appropriate. When we have had appropriate contact with confetti about this, I will adjust this review.

The security guard at this place is super discriminatory and it even looks like racism. The security guard will not let you in because you have the nationality of another country. Which seems nonsensical to me. I have been living in the Netherlands for 5 years. Because I have a refugee history and this is visible on my ID card, I was refused in a very rude manner in confetti. What a bad thing, this is really no longer possible in 2024

I have been living in the Netherlands for 5 years and have never had such an unpleasant experience in a club. I came to visit this beautiful city of Apeldoorn and I had a very bad experience with racism in this club. The security didn't mind discriminating against me and making racist comments.

A particularly negative experience at this tent, an employee (security) at the entrance who showed people the door with racist comments, which was extremely shocking. Ironically, it involved an employee with a migration background, which made the behavior all the more incomprehensible. These types of practices should not take place in a hospitable city like Apeldoorn. Ridiculous!!

Nice to have a drink with fast and friendly service.

Had a super fun bachelor party last Saturday until out of nowhere we were asked to leave. No reason, no prior warning, conversation or anything. Aggressive young man who I didn't play with didn't want to answer my question: what's going on, what are we doing wrong... no, I got the bill and it was off. Respect, no...and hey, I hadn't been drinking so you could have just had a normal conversation with me. Do you treat your own mother that way? What a letdown young man from Confetti's.

You are simply refused based on skin color, all my white friends were admitted and I was told that it was a private party. There you are the only one, then explained to the security guard why my white friends or he could explain this to me? Dear gentleman becomes aggressive, has a lack of respect, cannot have a decent conversation because he just insults you in a disrespectful way as if you were some kind of dog. I first contacted them by email to raise this issue, I am 35 years old and have never experienced being treated like this. Unfortunately, there is simply no response to emails, the owner can post very nice comments below, but only applies feedback if it suits them. I will also report this to the discrimination point and the municipality of Apeldoorn Joost and André indd a tone lower is my advice in this… I would be ashamed that you have an incompetent security guard at your door who still applies this policy in 2023, we are all human regardless of color or religion!

Had delicious pulled chicken nachos from a handsome boy with medium-length blond hair and a smile that lit up the entire street.

The security guard does not behave within the guidelines. And shows no reasonableness for an 83 year old man who wore a cap. Which he wasn't aware of. Because the security guard wanted to push the man out, the elderly man fell. He could have broken something!! Furthermore, the atmosphere was pleasant, but that security guard would be better off looking for another job.

The Security Guard behaved out of proportion, reacted aggressively towards a lady and her group of friends. This was completely unnecessary. Wouldn't recommend going here while he still works here

Poor security. Pure abuse of power! Looks for trouble with people who don't even deserve it. Challenging people for their own pleasure when it made no sense!!

The security staff acted very aggressively towards me (I am a girl) and almost hit me, approached me like a madman and put his face in front of mine. He even tore the new t-shirt I was wearing. This is not appropriate behaviour and he crossed the line. He was rude, arrogant and aggressive. He should learn to manage certain situations and above all learn to control himself. He was totally out of his mind. What a disgusting man and place! I do not recommend this place! If they have this kind of staff, it says a lot about the values of the company.

Security guard behaved very unprofessionally, and not in the correct way he should work. Very aggressive towards a woman when no alcohol was involved. He wanted to show that his position was 'higher' than the rest. In addition, you do not touch a woman or push her, nor do you pull her shirt, which then breaks. I have been to Apeldoorn many times, but have never experienced it this way before.

I did not appreciate this experience, first time to club in Apeldoorn, and find such a behavior from the security pushing me outside , i do not know is it kinda racism or discrimination , i am not even drunk , big difference between here and Amsterdam 😫

Like like like! Got this place recommended by a local, which first of all shows how friendly the people in the city of Apeldoorn are. The cafe itself is wonderful around 12 the party is fully on its way. The bar staff is friendly and they keep the place clean (removing glasses). Highly recommended for the 25+ crowd.

Compared to other bars, not very busy, quite average. The audience is not very young, which often makes the club the second choice for young people aged 18 to 20. The tent itself is fine, nice music and a short queue.
