Great atmosphere. And professional coffee group set. But the coffee taste was harsh and ashy. The croissant was just warmed 🥲

In terms of location and interior, one of the most beautiful coffee shops in Utrecht. Everything breathes the atmosphere of the past, when a grocery store was located here between the stately houses. We order a flat white and a hot chocolate with whipped cream. An oatcake as a sweet treat. (By the way, it could be a little more exciting) The barista comes to deliver the order with a big smile on her face. We enjoy the chill music and order lunch. A cheese sandwich and a Waldkorn bun with pepper spread and feta. Excellent price-quality ratio for a sandwich without any fuss. Nice tent, it's a nice place to be. We would love to come back here.

When one enters the Café, one feels warm and like at home. The staff is very friendly and the menu is not over complicated but offers still enough choices for everyone.

A neighborhood coffee spot like no other… with great coffee and a really nice atmosphere. If you are hungry there are really nice pastries and sandwiches. Highly reccommended. The coffee served there is from BOCCA Amsterdam (Great Medium and Dark Roasts).

I took advantage of two overnight stays and two breakfasts at Cornelis. The overnight accommodation is spacious, tastefully decorated and fully equipped (comfortable bed and wonderful rain shower). Because the accommodation has its own front door, you really get the feeling of your own home. You can reach the center of Utrecht in about a 20-minute walk and, if desired, the bus stop is about a 3-minute walk and you can easily reach the center by bus. Breakfast took place in the attractive shop and was complete and tasty. I opted for the breakfast platter. Staff are friendly and attentive.

I've had the worst experience in this cafè... I ordered a smoothie and sat for 30 minutes. After that the owner comes and asks me to order more, stating that "you cannot expect to stay there all day and only have one drink", when I've been there for only 30 minutes and the place was basically empty. I felt like I had to leave straight away and ruined my day.. such bad vibes, don't recommend it.

Apparently you cannot sit here ordering 2 coffee in two hours because they tell you “You have to order something to sit”

First things first. The place is very good, with nice vibes. You can work from there, enjoy your coffee, have a talk with some friends or family. Also there is a "boutique" inside where you can buy different things (e.g. candles,vases etc). The service and the people are so friendly and helpful. But the best thing for me is the coffee. They have the Bocca blends and they're spectacular. I highly recommend this place!

Echt "by far" mijn meest favoriete koffie en broodjes café van Utrecht. Goede sfeer, heerlijke broodjes, lekkere sapjes en... hele goede koffie.

Extremely expensive. They charge huge amounts for plant milk, so don’t seem to care much about the environment or animals (most places in Utrecht offer plant milk at no extra cost).

We rarely eat breakfast in hotels we prefer to eat with the locals. We discovered this little gem a short walk from our hotel. It is run by two friendly guys and we had an excellent breakfast every day - we will be going back next year.

Perfecte plek om rustig een heerlijk koffietje te drinken (de cortado is ‘n aanrader). Ik kom er zelfs speciaal voor naar Utrecht, vanuit Amsterdam! En de barista met de mooie glimlach is er één uit duizenden ;).

Heerlijke koffie en lunch! En wist je dat in het koetshuis achter de zaak een b&b is verstopt?

Erg duur, onvriendelijk personeel. En je betaalt 75 cent extra (!) voor een wolkje plantaardige melk in je espresso machiato. Liefde voor de aarde of dieren is hier dus moeilijk te vinden…

Lovely cafe but quite expensive without a wow factor and quite small. Has a couple toys for kids but not a dedicated area - not on par with other utrecht cafes on terms of being good for toddlers

Fijne koffiezaak. Goede cappuccino en gelukkig qua prijs nog onder de 3 euro per kopje koffie (cappuccino). Worteltaartje ook lekker. Goede ambiance. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar, daarom 5 sterren.

Plantje gekocht. Leuk zo'n onverwachte zaak tijdens de wandeling. Vriendelijk personeel.
