The food here is good, but please don't come! The owner is so rude and unfriendly, it's simply bizarre. This restaurant doesn't even deserve a single star because of her. Ugh, the way you're treated here is terrible, and such a shame because the food is good. I'll never come back! And I'll advise you not to either.

Avoid this place at all costs! The worst "Italian" restaurant experience ever! The owners are incredibly rude and arrogant. First, they took our order, only to tell us they were almost on break and that we should eat quickly and leave. Totally unprofessional and disrespectful. We were quietly chatting with a friend when one of the owners came over and told us to "shut up" because we couldn't make a phone call! Truly shocking and completely unacceptable. The staff didn't speak Dutch, didn't understand our order, and we ended up getting something completely different. Instead of an apology, we got an argument and were told it was our fault! No responsibility, no customer service whatsoever. We wanted pasta, but apparently that wasn't possible—only pizza, and it was mediocre to boot. D-R-A-M-A! Absolutely NOT RECOMMENDED. A waste of time, money, and patience. There are plenty of better Italian restaurants in the area where you would be welcome.

Message to the owner: If you're tired, stressed, or annoyed, change jobs or take a vacation. Let Annette, charming and generous, like Italian cuisine, welcome and manage the service. She does it wonderfully. The only topic of conversation between customers is you! It's a shame, because the food is good and the place is charming.

The owner is truly unpleasant, a real drag. Fortunately, the waitress is the complete opposite and incredibly kind to the customers. The food is very good.

The unfriendly owner who snaps at customers adds nothing. Should take a few months vacation and de-stress. This has nothing to do with the Italian mentality. While the food is good. We were kindly welcomed by an English speaking waitress. We had just ordered when new customers came in with a 3 year old child. The restaurant was empty but we were looking for a nice table. Then the owner came straight away from that that is not going to happen you have to sit there. What happened next the waitress was cursed at in front of us with a very loud voice that lasted for at least 2 minutes the waitress in thick tears. The family had left in the meantime I don't feel like that she said. I spoke to her about it and she immediately walked away When leaving the door was no longer held open for us. Totally rude behavior to treat staff and customers like that they will never be with me again and the food tasted mediocre.

We came here three nights in a row during our short vacation...because the food is simply so incredibly good! We've rarely had such good Italian food! Cozy atmosphere, friendly service...simply fantastic!

Food was good enough. Vibe was terrible. Waiteress was rude, arrogant. She told us that we have to be quiet during we were. They told us that we have to order foof fast because they dont have time (it was after 5minut when we come. )

We were not welcomed friendly by the owner of the restaurant, and when we sat down we heard that the other people did not like the atmosphere either. Then the people next to us were also sent away because they had a question about the food, so we left too.

Today I was shocked by the situation. I came here to eat with my friends. We ordered wine and a platter of cheese and meats. As a result we saw this photo. The cook took some sausage from the refrigerator and rinsed it under the tap. He then began cutting the mold from a piece of cheese. We were shocked. Are you selling this crap to people??? We didn't eat it! Then they brought a paste that tasted bitter and looked like it was made especially for dogs. What a horrible place. The rave reviews are memoirs by Italian relatives intended to save the day. I won't spend another cent at this cafe!!!

Absolutely try it and never leave it again! Very welcoming place just like the owners who immediately made us feel at home, without however compromising their professionalism. Dishes prepared with extreme care and excellent quality raw materials. Wide choice of typical Italian dishes prepared according to tradition. The pizzas are also excellent, soft and crunchy dough and perfectly proportioned toppings. The desserts are also delicious, all strictly homemade. The service was also accurate, kind and attentive. Very authentic Italian restaurant, very vibrant host and attentive staff. Loved my meal here Reading the reviews I can see the negativity but as people from n.ireland we can take the loudness of the hostess, she actually gave me a fright when she was trying to catch the attention of a server and I didn’t see her coming but guess what? It's not the first time we've eaten here. Delicious Italian dishes with culinary origins in Apulia. Ate: Focaccia con Pomodoro & Burrata Vitello Tonnato Linguine alle Vongole Bauletto alla Norma con Burrata e Pomodorini Torta Pasticciotto Leccese The vongole and the torta stood out in terms of taste! Highly recommended. Real Italian service and handling. Enjoy it!

Het eten was goed maar de ‘manager’ ongelofelijk onbeschoft & blafte niet alleen volwassenen maar ook kinderen af. Het personeel ‘kruipt’ met gebogen hoofd bedacht op uitbranders door de zaak. De druk is enorm hoog en de sfeer beneden pijl! Voor de gezelligheid moet je hier zeker niet zijn.

An absolutely brilliant little place, where you can catch that authentic Italian feeling. Pizzas were just like in Italy, and the management, if I am not mistaken, is also Italian. This place is a MUST! The 4.2 stars that they have currently is definitely undeserved.

We waren de enige klanten in de zaak. Ik hoorde achter in de zaak de “dame” die kennelijk de scepter zwaait in de zaak tekeer gaan tegen haar personeel en vroeg me al af waar ben ik beland. Toen mijn tafelgenoot aangaf geen Nederlands te spreken maar Engels begon deze “dame” van achter uit de zaak naar hem te schreeuwen. Luid schreeuwend “dat hij geen Nederlands sprak” kwam ze naar onze tafel gelopen. Bij onze tafel kwam ze met haar hoofd vlak bij zijn hoofd en bleef maar schreeuwen. Daar ik zulk kwaadaardig, intimiderend en discriminerend gedrag niet accepteer stond ik op, trok mijn jas aan, en zijn we de zaak uitgelopen.

What an evil, false and even discriminatory “lady” holds sway here. We were the only customers in the shop. I heard that this “lady” was yelling at her wait staff at the back of the store and I wondered “where did I end up”. When my table companion indicated that he did not speak Dutch but English, this “lady” started shouting at him from the back of the restaurant. She walked over to our table and kept shouting at him “that he didn't speak Dutch” while putting her head close to his head in an intimidating manner. Since I do not accept such malicious, intimidating and discriminatory behavior, I stood up, put on my coat, and we walked out of the business.

Decided to walk out because the lady owner started yelling when I was trying to ask questions and order. Looking at other people’s comments it seems that it’s a common occurence. She would probably reply this and deny, and say that we’re trying to tarnish her reputation but lady, get some help. You need help. You dont yell at people just because you can. I have been to many italian restaurants and this is the first time I got yelled at for no reason. Absolutely crazy. I’ll take my business somewhere else.

I'll never go there again!! As many people have said here, we should have read the reviews before we set foot in this place. After waiting 30 minutes for our food, we politely asked the waiter if it would be long because we were very hungry. Then the owner approached us and started shouting at us saying that we were the last table of the night, that it was Saturday, that she didn't want any trouble... it was a HORRIBLE experience! We thought we'd just get up and leave, but we were really tired and hungry. We managed to calm down a bit, ate and left. I'll never go there again!

A spontaneous evening of fun eating pizza with my children. We were welcomed by a friendly lady and a table was available. We sat next to the bar and close to the kitchen, the evening was vibrant and pleasant. We ordered our pizzas when an altercation took place in the kitchen that the entire restaurant witnessed. A hostess was loudly sent home. We thought that peace had returned. Nothing could be further from the truth. The "chef" in the kitchen was ranting and shouting, which created a tense atmosphere in the whole place, people had to wait a long, long time for their food and when asked, were sent soothingly to their table. We intended to have dessert after our pizza, but honestly, the tense atmosphere, the shouting and nasty display of the chef made my children want to go home. It's a shame that the owner of a nice business puts on such a display. To be honest, the pizzas were certainly not the best we have eaten, but they were good. They now only left a bitter taste. Definitely not recommended unless you want to be belittled and taunted. In a word, Scandalous!

It was more pleasant to be here last time. We have always enjoyed your food. But every time the restaurant owner behaves inappropriately. Where does all this anger and rudeness come from??? Then there was another fake smile, but the mood was ruined. From what I read, you don't exactly have a good reputation. Before you start working with people, get your own training first! People come to have a good time, not to listen to idiotic scenes!

How simple can it be, ordering pasta carbonara by telephone and picking it up.... I left the door with the "what have I got again..." I am attacked by some special lady, this was not an Italian temperament but a scene from The Godfather, I will NEVER set foot over the threshold again! As a visually impaired person, it is already special for me when I go into a restraunt alone, but this is really... I'm still shaking now.

Real Italian atmosphere. Small, but authentic. Good food, price quality is good. There is a lovely terrace in the summer, but you can also sit inside. Nice location with a view of the town hall. Recommended👍

Manners should come first. To be honest the food was great and it's a pity that I am leaving a 1 star review (otherwise it would be 5 stars), but the female-owner is really rude. Always unfriendly, trying to make people stupid and criticizing the questions instead of answering. I've also heard her shouting at the waitresses. Your food can be great as you want but if you don't have basic manners and education you dom't deserve to run a business.

I ordered paccheri alla carbonara di mare, pasta was not cooked properly, pizza was tasty, but the lady who served us was very unfriendly, and this is not the first time this has happened to her... we have been twice before... a pity, but we will not go there again.....

We had dinner here with the family last night and were really looking forward to it. The basin started out bad when we made the reservation and this did not change as it got later. We then ordered and received something to drink and an appetizer. We did not see the main course. They kept saying 5/10 minutes, but this was not true. We finally decided to leave and the basin did not understand the problem. Quite strange considering we waited so long. Really very disappointing and we will definitely not come back here again. Shame

Delicious lunch. Fresh, tasty, cozy and accessible. Favorably priced.. Nice service. Dog was no problem either. The only downside, the floor (laminate) could be replaced, it is really worn out and is a waste of the cozy whole.

A corner of Puglia! Typical Salento dishes such as the splendid Sonia from Salento. Beautiful, familiar place, with those wonderful checkered tablecloths…. Every detail speaks of a story, that of a family that gives love and unforgettable dishes every day. Everything special, everyone special! After looking at the reviews of this place, we should have looked out. The food is absolutely not bad, but after 45 minutes and in the middle of our main course we were not exactly politely ushered out of the tent. The owner is condescending towards customers and staff and behaves ridiculously. After seeing her responses to the reviews, I would like to ask: are you proud of this behavior? We didn't have to ask for the bill, she came running and without any politeness she shouted the amount in our faces. After leaving the tent without even saying "have a nice day" I am still not over this experience. Don't do it!

Had a nice evening at this real Italian "trattoria" from Sonya & Simone. Cozy furnishings, tasty and affordable food and typical southern Italian service (in a positive sense!). Definitely recommended for a day in Schiedam.

I always like coming here. We had delicious pizzas here with 'Cimi di rapé'. Always a warm welcome and a lot of attention for the people!

We had the Quattro Formaggio, Lasagna and Traditional Tiramisú. Quattro Formaggio was really good and authentic but a little too salty for my taste but the bread dough makes a perfect balance for it. Lasagna was my favorite, one of the best I have ever had. Kept me wanting for more. Tiramisú was good, good balance and the alcohol is not too overpowering compare to most other tiramisu’s I had. Just perfect.

Delicious food, service is super friendly and there is a real passion for the business. Few restaurants serve such quality for a reasonable price! Super nice place in Schiedam!

Delicious Italian food with good service

I have eaten here Three times in the last couple of weeks. The food is great, staff friendly and the bill more than reasonable. If the weather is fair the seating outside offers a pleasant ambiance in this cosy corner of the city.

Ended up here by chance, but that was a pleasant surprise! I really felt like I was in Italy again, simple decor that had a very Italian feel, the temperature in the restaurant made it complete, still some warmth in December haha. Delicious food! Unfortunately we had to leave soon so we could only eat a main course (we were looking for something quick/simple in advance), but otherwise I would have liked to enjoy the menu in more detail, I will remember it!

We had dinner here last night. We liked the appearance of the restaurant from the outside and it was also very cozy inside. Really Italian. We were greeted politely by the Italian owner, but the ladies at the counter only spoke poor English. We ordered starters to share, which worked out fine. We also ordered two pizzas... But the starters were so generous that we made 1 pizza out of them. That didn't go over well (language barrier) and 2 pizzas still arrived. By the way, the canceled pizza was not the one we ordered... But when the owner heard our story, it was neatly arranged and we shared that one pizza together. The starters were delicious, bruscetta with burrato and vitello tonnato and foccacia bread. The pizza was also great! We drank Italian beer and red wine, Primitivo. We liked that too. Afterwards we went to a concert and did not check the receipt at checkout. Later in the car I found that the amount was a bit higher than I had thought. When I checked the receipt, there was indeed 2x beer at €4.50 too much. Could happen, but too bad... So always check the receipt. We will definitely go back here, the real Italian atmosphere and food was a very nice experience for us.

We had dinner here with 5 people on a very busy Saturday evening in December. The restaurant is nicely decorated, no fuss but nice in all its simplicity. The service was inexperienced, that was clear, but very friendly. After our delicious starter, the cutlery was removed and we were asked if we wanted dessert... it took a while before we made it clear that the main course was still to come; My Italian is not perfect and the English of the staff is poor. It took a while for the main course to arrive but it was very busy so no problem. The main course was enjoyed by everyone, honest Italian food where the salt was certainly not forgotten... (a little less salt would have been nice) after a cup of coffee we paid and lost 250. Tips: You could easily have earned €60 more from us if we had occasionally been asked if we wanted something to drink, we had to ask for this ourselves, which is a shame. The owner is very “present”, she is friendly to the guests, but as a customer you can clearly see that the staff is becoming insecure about her behavior, try to “manage” a little more and “boss” less. I'm sure that's better for the atmosphere, the employees' job satisfaction and your heart ♥️

What a wonderful restaurant. Very hospitable and sweet reception. Sonya and campagnola sandwich is highly recommended. The cheeses and grilled vegetables taste delicious. And the hostess: they don't get nicer or nicer. So nice.

Ik en mijn vriend zijn hier al een aantal keer geweest. Lekker op loopafstand van ons huis… laten we onze familie eens hier brengen dachten wij, het eten is altijd goed. Nu weten wij, dat de eigenaresse Sonja best pittig is maar wat wij gisteren hebben meegemaakt kunnen wij niet geloven. Onze bestelling werd opgenomen door een vrouw, en wij wilden gelijk ons hoofdgerecht doorgeven zodat wij niet te lang hoeven te wachten, we hadden een lange dag gehad. Na het voorgerecht doorgegeven te hebben werd er ons gezegd dat wij ons hoofdgerecht dalijk konden doorgeven. De menukaarten werden gelijk afgepakt omdat de andere klanten dan geen menukaarten hadden. Hoe de eigenaresse haar personeel behandeld is te erg voor woorden. Ze worden letterlijk als honden behandeld waar de klanten bij zitten. Er word tegen ze geschreeuwd, met handen geklapt in hun gezicht en je ziet dat ze niks durven te zeggen. Wij hebben hier echt heel ongemakkelijk gegeten omdat wij het zo te doen hadden met het personeel die onder zware druk werkt. Als je de eigenaresse vraagt of je wat drinken mag bestellen, reageert ze luid dat je nog even moet wachten. Toen wij vroegen of we het hoofdgerecht mochten doorgeven, reageerde ze luid en onbeschoft waarom we dit dan niet gelijk hadden gedaan want nu moest zij menukaarten bij andere klanten pakken waarop ik zei dat wij dit direct al wouden doen, maar we moesten wachten. Hierbij vroeg ze aan haar personeel aan onze tafel of zij dit had gezegd, om haar even op haar punten te wijzen. Al met al, dit is voor ons de laatste keer hier want wij hebben hier niet ontspannen gegeten en werden erg ongemakkelijk van deze situatie! Verschrikkelijk

Our favorite restaurant in Schiedam! We've been coming here for years. Great authentic place with delicious food. I'm vegan, they don't have many vegan options, but the penne arrabiata is highly recommended!

It remains a special experience to eat here. The kitchen is fine, the service, by the owner, rather unhospitable. You will not be received kindly. We really turned off the wine this time. Ordered a bottle of Primitivo for 29.50. He was really bad. When I looked it up on Vivino, the wine turned out to be for sale for 2.99. This is really no longer possible these days. Next time another Italian in Schiedam.

On a recent visit to Cotto & Mangiato, a pleasant evening out turned into a very unpleasant experience. After discovering an allergen in my ordered dish, which was not mentioned on the online menu, I was approached in a very rude manner by both the waitress and the owner. I was blamed for the situation and told that I should have read the card better. This is not an acceptable reaction, especially if there is an allergy. Instead of finding a solution, the situation was made worse and my sister, who had nothing to do with the situation, was also involved in the conflict when she went to pay for our food. It is incomprehensible and unacceptable that a customer is treated this way in a catering establishment. We left the restaurant without eating our food, we were so shocked by the situation. The fact that the owner justifies this behavior by referring to an 'Italian temperament' does not take away from the rudeness and lack of customer service. It's disappointing to see that this type of behavior is apparently a recurring problem at this restaurant, as evidenced by multiple online reviews. I can only advise against eating here. A restaurant visit should be an enjoyable experience, not a source of stress. In any case, we will never come back here again.

Italian but really, I ate a more than excellent Pizza Diavolo. Richly topped, crispy crust and wet, oily in the middle!

Pleasantly surprised by this Italian restaurant. Some very nice dishes on the menu. The Linguini vongole is a winner, the starter with bread and cheese is also very tasty. Tasty desserts too! The service works hard, but I think a bit inexperienced. We had to wait over half an hour for our first drink. The waitress looked at our table a few times, but was too busy to take our order. Too bad because a carafe of water, a Spa red and a bottle of white wine is easily included Running a restaurant is top sport. And that sometimes means suffering and sweating. Positive surprise! As a starter we had bruschetta, which was nothing special. The pasta, however - orchiette with broccoli and salsicca and linguine with seafood - we were speechless! Never(!) had such good broth, such good sauces!!! Luscious meat, fish, vegetables in the dishes and the pasta perfect. But as I said, the sauces convinced us! Very very tasty. Dear Cotto Mangiato, I would like to express my disappointment about an order I recently placed with you via Thuisbezorgd. Unfortunately, the quality of the dishes delivered was far below expectations, which is a shame as I have always been very satisfied with your food. Caprese salad: This salad should be simple and fresh, with mozzarella, tomato and basil. However, what we received was a bowl of old lettuce with tough mozzarella, a few slices of tomato and not a balsamic in sight. Dessert: We specifically ordered a lemon tart, but received a chocolate tart instead. This was not what we wanted and therefore disappointing. Antipasti: For €27.50 I expected a richer selection. We only got 4 types of meats, with only 3 slices each. This felt very overpriced. I know you guys usually offer high quality, and I hope this was a one-time miss. Terrible employee, terrible salty food. This place is a rude Tourist trap! Overcooked and disgustingly salty but basic pasta, The pizza there is more cheese than the tough of the pizza, and the tough of the pizza in not even taste good. One of the ladies with brown short hair she was the most unprofessional and rude person I ever met in my life, shouted at us to sit in that place because we was just two, treated us like stupid children, constantly talked to us with an angry face, (like she was "I don't want to work today so I will treat you like this") kind of person. One of the things I was about to live if was not too late to eat somewhere else is when she had the NERVES to ask us "YOU ARE TWO PEOPLE WHY EAT 3 PORTION OF FOOD?!" That was enough to get mad and I started treating her the same disgusting way she treated us all the time, so I told her again with a serious tone "We have two Italian beers, one pizza Margherita to share, and one pasta for me and one fish for him, that all" she say and laugh at us, "Ahahah two people 3 portions!" and she go away, me and my boyfriend we were never got this situation where we had felt insulted by a silly lunatic waitress, excuse me?! Where in the world does she live?! She sounded like ahah you are so fat there you go your food is fatty, and then people asked themself why people prefer to eat at home nowadays, That's why! The fact that we did not come to you or anyone else was because we did not want to cause a scene, also because most of the time if you are complain you don't get anything beside angry people at you because you DARE to complain of one their employee even if that situation was bring from them and not from the customer, that why, and was my birthday. Also i saw all the negative comments, and you wrote that they should shame themself because they live negative comments, you should be ashame of yourself, because if many people have negative vibes in your place and you make us sound we are too soft or too esagerated, this is a restaurant okay?! Meaning that we and you deserve respect but semms the respect for you is only one way, btw so if for you is okay how she treath us then you are part of the problem, THAT ALL.

I was few weeks in this restaurant for, I believe on friday12 July around 18.30, the pasta was not warm enough, and had a blended flavor, my brother got the carbonara, and was tasted disgusting, and my mom ate the carbonara or something similar, taste very cheap, something you can do at home and better, I think Julias sell better quality and I say everything because julias is ugly on make pasta. We talked with one of the waitresses and complained about it, she told us this is Italian food and this is how we make it, yes, sure LOL, I was in Sicily and Sorrento, and Roma, and also I went to Parma and in Venezia, so I di know Italian food, this is not, I mean it is but for tourist who doesn't know what is and. what not, Real Italian restaurant they make good stuff, this Cotto and Mangiato is poorly Italian food make it just to make money, maybe because they know local people will not see a different from good Italian cuisine from poorly made Italian cuisine... Well, the waitress is kind of rude to answer to us like that, but yeah must be arrogant I guess. Cotto and Mangiato, are not recommended to anyone.

This place is a rude Tourist trap! Overcooked and disgustingly salty but basic pasta, The pizza there is more cheese than the tough of the pizza, and the tough of the pizza in not even taste good. One of the ladies with brown short hair she was the most unprofessional and rude person I ever met in my life, shouted at us to sit in that place because we was just two, treated us like stupid children, constantly talked to us with an angry face, (like she was "I don't want to work today so I will treat you like this") kind of person. One of the things I was about to live if was not too late to eat somewhere else is when she had the NERVES to ask us "YOU ARE TWO PEOPLE WHY EAT 3 PORTION OF FOOD?!" That was enough to get mad and I started treating her the same disgusting way she treated us all the time, so I told her again with a serious tone "We have two Italian beers, one pizza Margherita to share, and one pasta for me and one fish for him, that all" she say and laugh at us, "Ahahah two people 3 portions!" and she go away, me and my boyfriend we were never got this situation where we had felt insulted by a silly lunatic waitress, excuse me?! Where in the world does she live?! She sounded like ahah you are so fat there you go your food is fatty, and then people asked themself why people prefer to eat at home nowadays, That's why! Then she came every minute do you want to drink something more?! i' m literally have a full beer still, can you not wait for me to finish my stupid beer first?! I was very upset that was my birthday, never again.

Het is zaterdag 27 Juli en eindelijk zomer in Nederland Schiedam! We hebben afgesproken met mijn dierbare vriendin en gezin bij dit Italiaanse restaurant in Schiedam!We komen aan bij het restaurant en gaan het lege terras op naar binnen! De serveerster wijst ons naar onze tafel voor 6 personen! Ik vraag haar of we niet buiten op het Lege terras mogen zitten en eten! Dat gaat ze aan de eigenaresse vragen! Die komt aan op hoge poten en vraagt wat is het probleem! Ik vraag haar of we op het Lege terras kunnen eten in het Italiaans! Zegt Nee,ik vraag waarom en zegt opnieuw met luide stem Nee! De policy van haar is dat groepen binnen gezet worden?. Ik vraag waarom,ze antwoordt met een nog luidere stem dat dat haar regels zijn ! Het is haar restaurant en zij maakt uit waar je gaat zitten! Zeg haar het is een mooie avond en het terras is leeg,waarom niet buiten serveren ,5 mtr verder stappen voor de serveerster! Opnieuw schreeuwt ze bijn Nee,en als het je niet bevalt kan je ook gaan! Ook het restaurant was bijna leeg op een tafel na met ook een groep van 6 personen! De situatie escaleert bijna door haar agressieve gedrag en geschreeuw! We willen Eigelijk opstappen en weggaan maar omdat onze vrienden vlakbij wonen blijven we toch verbaasd en gaan aan de tafel zitten! De serveerster komt met een rood hoofd van schaamte ons verder helpen! We zijn echt uit het veld geslagen door dit voorval! We besluiten toch te bestellen en laten eten aan rukken! De eigenaresse blijft hooghartig voorbij lopen naar haar andere 6 gasten! Terras is leeg en je restaurant bijna ook! Wat gaat hier mis? Ten 1e de eigenaresse is grof,luid,onbeschoft en zeer onvriendelijk! Ten 2e het noemt zich een Italiaans restaurant,ha ha ha nou het wordt tijd dat ze terug gaat naar waar ze vandaan komt vanuit Italië! Na 23 jaar in Italië en met een ras Italiaan als partner te hebben weten we waar we het over hebben! Wij raden dit restaurant “Cotto e Mangiare ten strengste af beste Tripadviser lezers! Al met al dit restaurant is het echt niet waard om te gaan Eten bij deze super onvriendelijke ,grof gebekte dame!! Bah,Bah,Bah🤢🤢🤢 Vriendelijke groeten vanuit Castelleone! You are really here in Italy with an Italian mother who holds sway. No fussing, mom is the boss. The food is truly Italian. The pasta was beautifully fragrantly filled and the lamb chops with truffle...amazing. You drink water from Italian mugs, that's how it is and no different 😀

Dat dit restaurant nog bestaat met zo'n feeks aan het stuur! Ik las pas de reviews NADAT we er geweest waren, het leek ons wel een leuk plekje om na een zakelijke afspraak even te gaan zitten en snel wat foto's te hebben bekeken. Maar ondanks dat het eten wel goed was schoot het bij ons in het verkeerde keelgat. Wij dachten dat het aan ons lag en hebben ons de gehele zit vaak met grote ogen aangekeken zo van 'WTF' dat kan toch niet. Hoe kun je ZO zijn tegen je klanten! De rest staat als makke lammetjes je van tafel te kijken, en wordt afgeruimd als je nog niet bent uitgegeten. Als je als een voetveeg behandeld wilt worden dan eet je lekker hier!

Wer eine sehr gute Pizza essen möchte, der ist in diesem Lokal bestens aufgehoben. Es war diesbezüglich eine Einladung, auch die anderen Speisen zu probieren. Hätten wir gerne gemacht. Das Ambiente war sehr gut. Weinregale, Bücher, (fast) offene Küche. Aus diesen Gründen darf man niemals 2 Sterne vergeben sondern gerne 4 oder mehr wenn die anderen Speisen stimmen. Aber!! Ich habe bisher niemals eine solch unfreundliche, fast schon unverschämte Person kennengelernt, die im Service arbeitet. Ja, wir kamen erst um 14.30 ins Lokal. Aber uns derart barsch und frech darauf hinzuweisen, dass um 15 Uhr Feierabend ist, grenzt schon ans unverschämte. Dann weist man freundlich auf diesen Umstand hin oder (noch einfacher) man lässt nach 14 Uhr keinen neuen Gast mehr rein. Dann ist es für jeden entspannt. Diese Art kann man nicht als Service bezeichnen.

Unfortunately, I also experienced what I read below that the owner is not friendly. Received the wrong sandwich, I said something about it, but unfortunately instead of a solution, they shouted at me and did not let me finish. Had dinner here on Saturday evening, April 13. There were two of us. It was the third time we have been there, but this is the last time. My girlfriend preferred a water glass instead of the porcelain cups. You would say it was a small effort, but the boss wouldn't allow that. There was a huge fuss about this. The staff hardly spoke Dutch (nor any other languages, by the way). And the boss shouted at us throughout the whole place. Some receptionists call that authentic Italian, we just call it rude and not showing any empathy for the customer at all. Fortunately, we experienced a completely different authenticity in Italy. Despite the fact that the food was good, we will not come here again. So we do not recommend this restaurant. Unless you like to be licked authentically or not. Have eaten here several times. We always thought it was a nice place with good food. The owner is in a lot of trouble and everyone is kind of afraid of her. I always found this kind of entertaining but after tonight we won't be back. The prices have actually increased considerably and the quality is not related. The wine in particular is bad and when I gave it back I just had to pay for it and this resulted in an unpleasant altercation. There are nicer places to spend your money. Too bad….
