Cucina Italiana 'Mezzaluna' in Wijk 01 Sneek

What a disappointing experience Mezzaluna turned out to be. We had made a reservation and were allowed to choose our own table, only to be forgotten. We left after fifteen minutes!

Had a delicious meal. Friendly service. Nice atmosphere.

Terrible food! I had high expectations of an Italian restaurant, but the pizza was a huge disappointment. The crust was soggy and the toppings didn't taste fresh. The staff also paid absolutely no attention to the guests; I waited 15 minutes before I was served the menu. Once is enough, never again!

Had a well-filled pizza with friendly and efficient service. The decor is a bit simple.

We ate here during a weekend getaway. We had to wait an incredibly long time to be served. Eventually, we asked if the main course could be prepared a bit faster, as we had to wait a very long time each time before we could order and before we received a starter. The meal was subsequently quite tasteless. Little meat in the pastas, few spices. We indicated that we didn't find it very tasty, and eventually, they took one pitcher of water off the bill to accommodate us. Unfortunately, we still paid way too much for poor service and tasteless food. Normally I am not this dissatisfied, mind you, but I want to warn people against dining here and having the same experience.

We had a delicious meal. A lovely 'sharing platter' to start and a risotto with salmon and mushrooms as the main course. Very tasty. Great service!

Terrible. This is not worthy of the name Italian restaurant. It took 20 minutes before we received a menu. After ordering, we waited another 45 minutes for 2 very mediocre pizzas. The staff was friendly, but made mistake after mistake. A family with children next to us was already joking that they should have ordered a pizza from Domino's on the terrace; that would certainly have arrived faster. Best to stay away from here!

We had a very pleasant evening here on a Friday night with my wife and friends. The young man serving us had a great sense of humor and was very quick-witted in a nice way. The food, saltimbocca alla romana, was simply delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Delicious food and good quality

Oh the food,... yum yum, my name is Wouter Kuijt and I love food... yum yum. But the boss, he's not nice.

We've been coming here for years, usually choosing the calzone, which used to be fantastic and full of flavor. Now, there's a lot of cheese, very little meat, and no salami—not nearly the quality and flavor we were used to. It's a shame...

Six of us dined here. We ordered bruschetta, pizza, pasta, and risotto, and all the dishes were tasteless. They weren't seasoned well. The risotto was hard and undercooked. The focaccia appetizer was so hard you could break your teeth on it. And the argument with the waitress about the dish we ordered didn't make things any better. If you're looking for authentic Italian food, definitely avoid this place.

Yesterday, we unexpectedly had pizza with 10 family members at this lovely, atmospheric restaurant. Tables were pushed together, drinks were served, and the pizzas arrived very quickly. The service was provided by two friendly ladies, and thanks to the prompt service, six people were able to return to Gorinchem on time. Thank you for the good company; the pizzas were particularly delicious. Greetings from Gorinchem.

Really delicious pizzas! Great atmosphere, friendly staff!

I can highly recommend the pizza.

It used to be a good Italian restaurant, but since the business was taken over, it's been declining. A real shame.

Mezzaluna's pizzas are truly the tastiest

Great service, nice waiter. If you want to support a local business, do it here

Had dinner here twice this summer, was not nearly as good as it was before. Service is slower, food is ok, but the spark just wasn't there like it has been in the past. We will probably try it one more time next year and see if we will keep coming back.

We were looking forward to Italian, although the website said it was open, we were like in front of a closed door

Standing in front of a closed door while it is open according to….

Delicious pizza, also gluten-free! Super friendly service, good prices!

Got delicious pizza and risotto tonight. The service was fast and friendly, and the food was DELICIOUS!

We found this place 3 years ago when we were cruising through Sneek. The previous owner sold, but the new owner is equally as great (maybe more). The food is excellent Italian food. Go, you won't regret it.

Special pizzas and other dishes, delicious food! And great service.

Too bad, this was once a good and attractive, successful Pizzeria. Now no wine list, no house wine, but choices of wines, no background music, somewhat tasteless pizza, little jeux regarding the dessert, it was taken out of the freezer and a plate, saucer underneath... little love. And very quiet. Shame. The two girls tried to cover it up with friendliness. Back at the hotel within an hour and a half.

One of the 2 best pizzerias in Sneek. Good menu with lots of choice. Pizzas are delicious, nice thin airy base.

Delicious food! Friendly service! Great!!

Last Saturday March 29, 2025 we had dinner with friends. Upon entering it was noticeable that it was quite quiet, many tables were not yet clean and it seemed untidy. We ordered a beer at the bar, after which the bartender came to the table to ask how we got here!? Service and service that evening were really not good, not worth repeating.

Quite possibly the tastiest pizza in Sneek and the surrounding area. They lovingly create a beautiful product with delicious ingredients and at reasonable prices. They offer varieties and flavors I haven't encountered at other pizzerias, such as the Schiacciata (a pencil breaker?). But truly delicious. Exceptionally friendly service. A wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Spontaneously eaten on a Tuesday. But really recommended!! What a delicious pizza! Never tasted it before. Unfortunately the name is difficult to pronounce or write, but this pizza is delicious! With spinach sausage, cheese, etc. Definitely eat here. Friendly employees. We will definitely come back for this.

A really great restaurant where quality and customer friendliness come first. I recently went here to get a tuna pizza after good reviews from colleagues. There is a very pleasant, chill atmosphere 👻✌🏼❤️💛💚 while waiting for my pizza I was offered a free offer if I wanted a glass of drink 😇👌🏼 💯 well that's how it should be to serve your customer with hospitality and the pizza 🍕 was really deliciously tasty & freshly prepared!! I had never eaten such delicious pizza in Sneek before. This is definitely recommended!!💯💯🇮🇹🍝🍕👻❤️💛💚🥳🎉🎉

Ordered two pizzas for takeaway. These would be ready after ten minutes, so at the agreed time I walk in and see the pizzas on top of the oven. When we got home (short drive), the pizzas turned out to be cold. Called with my complaint but no apology or resolution. An extra star for the taste, but I won't be back.

I have never said before in a restaurant that my food didn't taste good. But it didn't taste... Things went wrong when we wanted to order wine. There was no wine list and the wine we wanted (sweet white or merlot) was not there. We doubt the wine knowledge of the (friendly!) service, but of course we cannot prove this. More than fifteen minutes after we ordered, it turned out that the dish we wanted (prawns) could not be made. We were shocked by this, how can you not know at the start of the evening what is and is not in stock? But instead we opted for 2x the sea bass, one with spaghetti aioli and one with potatoes and vegetables from the oven. When that dish arrived, we were shocked again. The sea bass was floating in a layer of fat and tasted of nothing. The spaghetti was dry and also lacked flavour. And the potatoes weren't tasty either. We were offered a free round of drinks, but that couldn't make up for the bad taste. We will not come here again and do not recommend anyone to eat here. €70 paid out of good decency...

The food was mediocre. According to the employees, the beer tap had been broken for a number of weeks, so that was a shame. We ran out of ice cubes, so no cold drinks. The tiramisu was only made on Saturday morning and was not actually suitable for serving on Saturday evening. We expected more given the previous reviews.

We had a really good time, the food was excellent. Alex was very kind to us and the other guy too, thank you very much, everything was excellent

Amazing old school dining. We had the pasta carbonara and the pizza tutto carne. They were delicious, salty but not too much. We paid 38,45 for two mains and two drinks, which is really cheap nowadays! Loved it.

We ate delicious pizzas again. Top restaurant.

Delicious pizzas, enthusiastic team and nice atmosphere. That's all we needed for a super fun evening. Definitely worth repeating.

Went yesterday, service very good, atmosphere good. I asked what was closest to Carbonara from what was on the map. The girl indicated that she would ask if they wanted to make pasta carbonara. That is customer friendliness. Looked good too. After asking for half a pot of salt and pepper and extra cheese, it still tasted...too bad.

We had a delicious meal and were served in a friendly manner

We had a delicious meal here. The saltimbocca and petti di pollo were excellent! Recommended!

Lekker uit eten bij Mezzaluna? Wij denken het wel. Echter laten wij liever bezorgen. Doen we al een jaar of vier. Tot volle tevredenheid? Altijd super geweest.

We made a reservation at 7:00 PM and arrived more than 10 minutes in advance. We ended up sitting until 7:30 PM before we finally received the menu card and were offered some drinks after we indicated that we had been there for a long time, We then ordered a starter and main course, the soup arrived another 45 minutes after ordering, fortunately there was nothing to complain about with the soup, which was excellent except for the bay leaf in the tomato soup, And finally we all ordered a main course, again it took a good 45 minutes, the pizzas were mediocre, the lasagna was rock hard and a bit burnt and ravioli was a very small portion and very salty.

Great meal, very helpful staff for us non-Dutch speakers and generous portions. Helpful staff getting us parked safely across the waterway

The meal was excellent, but the price for a glass of house wine of 7.20 euros is disproportionate.

Delicious pizzas! Highly recommended. The enthusiasm of the staff! It's been a long time since I had such a good meal.

We hadden hier al eens pizza afgehaald en zagen toen lekkere dingen op de kaart Gister in het restaurant gegeten ; gevulde kipfilet en saltimbocca Heerlijk!!

Had a delicious meal with 2 daughters. We had nothing to celebrate, that's fine here too. 😉 Delicious homemade tomato soup, tuna salad, white pizza with olive (piadina), alioli and parmesan cheese, capelaccio with the tastiest salami sauce etc etc. Have you tried Limoncello Spritz yet? Soooo delicious. Recommended every time!!

Delicious food, background music often disappeared. Excellent service!

Had a delicious meal with the family. It was cozy, nice service and the staff in the kitchen did a very good job! We will most definitely be back.

Food reasonable. But they don't automatically come and ask if you want a drink. While it is quiet and if you ask for it you get a blunt response.

Score a calzone after a busy day, it remains the best!

Amazing food, great price list, a little slow with service, taking order but the food made all up for it

Good food, service not great and acoustics bad.

Delicious food, friendly service.

Excellent tasting food. Excellent calzones. Good and very friendly service. Nice atmosphere. Gladly again if the opportunity arises.

For those who don't know Mezzaluna yet... Friday evening I had dinner with my son. You spoiled us so much. With really delicious food, as always and a small glass of Prosecco, because I still had to drive. Which I didn't have to pay for either. And the sandwich we received from you in advance was also delicious, just like the rest. So fresh and the pizzas have such a wonderfully light, super thin, crispy base. You really feel like you are in Italy. I just want to say that we are big fans of your restaurant! Thank you and see you soon! Greetings Gerda

Delicious food and we were welcome even without a reservation. Despite the hustle and bustle of Sneek Week, we didn't have to wait long and the service was very neat. Recommended

Best pizzas in Sneek. Once again a delicious meal. We will definitely come back! Thank you

The best Italian in Sneek with traditional Italian dishes.

We ordered wine, sauvignon blanc. The waitress said they had it but they call it 'pinot grigio' differently 😂 We had to wait a long time for every dish but it was worth the wait. Very tasty and a fun night out.

Very friendly staff had to wait almost 2 hours for our food, the boss was on holiday.

Super slow service! Had to wait 1 hour 30 minutes for food!!!

Delicious food, will definitely come back :)

We had to wait 1 hour and 40 minutes for our food. We knew it was busy, but we thought this was a very long time. We did receive free bread with delicious herb butter to satisfy our hunger. Staff was very friendly but the chef could not handle the crowds.

Ate delicious pizzas on the terrace in the sun! ☀️ 🍕 The pizzas were exactly the way you want them: with a crispy, thin, but still airy base that made the pizzas neither too heavy nor too greasy! You also get a glass of tap water without any comments if you ask for it. We left off a topping and it was actually deducted from the receipt! Very friendly service, fast service, and very reasonable prices! We will definitely come back when we are in Sneek again! 😄

Very good authentic food! Yummy!

Super tasty authentic pizzas. I'm always hungry for 2 and the chef had baked a custom pizza especially for me. Awesome 😃👌🏻. Definitely coming back😋.

This restaurant that mainly serves Italian cuisine has its affairs in good order. You get normal napkins (not disposable) and excellent portions. However, the service should be a little more aware of the unwritten rules in the catering industry: if you pay a large bill (15 people!), a small desert on the house can be taken off. Luckily the guy who paid for the receipt charges everything (I'm guessing inexperience) The lady who served us, on the other hand, was very friendly and did her job fantastically, compliments. Considering the quality of the food I would definitely go again.

Delicious Italian food, extensive menu. The restaurant is not very large, so reservations are recommended.

Best food I've ever had, best steak and shrimp. I have eaten in many restaurants in the Netherlands and other countries so this is quite an achievement.

Friendly service, delicious food.

Cozy and relaxed and delicious food

Sorry! But I have to share this, we had dinner here tonight and it really wasn't tasty! I had spinach pasta which was undercooked with a sweet sauce, I was glad I finished it! The pizzas were impossible to cut and way too dry! The coffee was also poor! We said something about this and nothing was done about it. It was said that there was a new chef. Sorry, but we won't be coming here again!

Gluten-free pizza was real 👍🏼 Tasty base

If you want something other than pizza (of course they are available too), this is the place for you. We have been here several times and we have had a delicious meal every time.

Mega tasty pizza and great service. Highly recommended!

I'm not going to elaborate too much on how delicious the food is and the guidance you get, when needed, from this fantastic restaurant. Before you know it, there are no more tables available.

Very nice staff. The food was tasty but very standard. Something like a side salad or some bread wasn't offered but it wasn't very expensive either so that probably has something to do with that. They had a lot of tasty choices on the dessert menu and it tasted good too. It's also nice that you can look into the kitchen. The restaurant could use some renovation.

Delicious food. Friendly welcome. Lots of choice of pizzas. Dog welcome. We'll be back

Amazing! Absolutely loved the dishes. First time in a restaurant that everything on the menu looked delicious.

Varied menu, beautiful dishes. One person serving approximately 30 guests is really not enough. So the kitchen is fine, but the service is mediocre.

great and friendly service! Delicious dishes and tasty wine! Overall definitely recommendable and worth a visit!

The best pizza in Friesland and a wide area. We had to wait a very long time, therefore not five stars. It would be so much better if they would say: sorry it will take a little longer due to crowds, but here you have some bread and a few olives on the house for the inconvenience. That would have earned the 5th star.

If you like Italian food in a great atmosphere then you MUST come here. Delicious food, great wines and super friendly staff. As far as I'm concerned, this is one of the main reasons to visit Sneek 👍🏾 Thanks for the great evening.

Good restaurant with delicious dishes.

Beyond delicious! Best Italian cuisine in Sneek and the surrounding area. Highly recommended

Delicious large pizzas with a thin and crispy base. Spaghetti also very tasty. Friendly service and reasonable waiting time. We would come back.

Fine. Nice wine, we had pasta ourselves, but the pizzas also looked delicious. Will definitely come back again.

Been with the kids. Excellent service and delicious food, highly recommended!

90% real Italian. Super Service . Nice ambience. Enjoy your meal. The best pizza in all of Sneek. Pasta good, pizza good. We will be back. Tip: original Margherita, more tomato, more salt, oregano.❤️

Good food, ravioli tasty and home made. Wine fine, beer could be a bit colder (bottles). Tiramisu good! Service also nice, everything great!

Great pizza and super fast. Very friendly 👍

Enjoyed pasta loading here Good Italian food

Very pleasant and delicious food

Nice family business, thanks for the friendly service. Eat good 😉

Very nice staff with very good food
