Cucina Italiana 'Mezzaluna' in Wijk 01 Sneek

Yesterday, 10 family members unexpectedly enjoyed pizza at this wonderful, atmospheric restaurant. Tables were pushed together, drinks were served, and the pizzas arrived quickly. The service consisted of two friendly ladies, and thanks to the quick service, six people were able to return to Gorinchem on time. Thank you for the pleasant company, and the pizzas were exceptionally delicious. Greetings from Gorinchem.

Had dinner here twice this summer, was not nearly as good as it was before. Service is slower, food is ok, but the spark just wasn't there like it has been in the past. We will probably try it one more time next year and see if we will keep coming back.

Got delicious pizza and risotto tonight. The service was fast and friendly, and the food was DELICIOUS!

We found this place 3 years ago when we were cruising through Sneek. The previous owner sold, but the new owner is equally as great (maybe more). The food is excellent Italian food. Go, you won't regret it.

Too bad, this was once a good and attractive, successful Pizzeria. Now no wine list, no house wine, but choices of wines, no background music, somewhat tasteless pizza, little jeux regarding the dessert, it was taken out of the freezer and a plate, saucer underneath... little love. And very quiet. Shame. The two girls tried to cover it up with friendliness. Back at the hotel within an hour and a half.

Last Saturday March 29, 2025 we had dinner with friends. Upon entering it was noticeable that it was quite quiet, many tables were not yet clean and it seemed untidy. We ordered a beer at the bar, after which the bartender came to the table to ask how we got here!? Service and service that evening were really not good, not worth repeating.

Quite possibly the tastiest pizza in Sneek and the surrounding area. They lovingly create a beautiful product with delicious ingredients and at reasonable prices. They offer varieties and flavors I haven't encountered at other pizzerias, such as the Schiacciata (a pencil breaker?). But truly delicious. Exceptionally friendly service. A wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Spontaneously eaten on a Tuesday. But really recommended!! What a delicious pizza! Never tasted it before. Unfortunately the name is difficult to pronounce or write, but this pizza is delicious! With spinach sausage, cheese, etc. Definitely eat here. Friendly employees. We will definitely come back for this.

A really great restaurant where quality and customer friendliness come first. I recently went here to get a tuna pizza after good reviews from colleagues. There is a very pleasant, chill atmosphere 👻✌🏼❤️💛💚 while waiting for my pizza I was offered a free offer if I wanted a glass of drink 😇👌🏼 💯 well that's how it should be to serve your customer with hospitality and the pizza 🍕 was really deliciously tasty & freshly prepared!! Ordered two pizzas for takeaway. These would be ready after ten minutes, so at the agreed time I walk in and see the pizzas on top of the oven. When we got home (short drive), the pizzas turned out to be cold. Called with my complaint but no apology or resolution. An extra star for the taste, but I won't be back.

I have never said before in a restaurant that my food didn't taste good. But it didn't taste... Things went wrong when we wanted to order wine. There was no wine list and the wine we wanted (sweet white or merlot) was not there. We doubt the wine knowledge of the (friendly!) service, but of course we cannot prove this. More than fifteen minutes after we ordered, it turned out that the dish we wanted (prawns) could not be made. We were shocked by this, how can you not know at the start of the evening what is and is not in stock? But instead we opted for 2x the sea bass, one with spaghetti aioli and one with potatoes and vegetables from the oven. When that dish arrived, we were shocked again. The sea bass was floating in a layer of fat and tasted of nothing. The spaghetti was dry and also lacked flavour. And the potatoes weren't tasty either. We were offered a free round of drinks, but that couldn't make up for the bad taste. We will not come here again and do not recommend anyone to eat here. €70 paid out of good decency...

The food was mediocre. According to the employees, the beer tap had been broken for a number of weeks, so that was a shame. We ran out of ice cubes, so no cold drinks. The tiramisu was only made on Saturday morning and was not actually suitable for serving on Saturday evening. We expected more given the previous reviews.

Amazing old school dining. We had the pasta carbonara and the pizza tutto carne. They were delicious, salty but not too much. We paid 38,45 for two mains and two drinks, which is really cheap nowadays! Loved it.

Went yesterday, service very good, atmosphere good. I asked what was closest to Carbonara from what was on the map. The girl indicated that she would ask if they wanted to make pasta carbonara. That is customer friendliness. Looked good too. After asking for half a pot of salt and pepper and extra cheese, it still tasted...too bad.

Starter: Pizza Piadina, schaaltje zwarte en groene olijven en Bruchetta om te delen. Hoofdgerecht: verse tomatensoep, tonijn salade, Cappelaci en de Biefstuk met paddestoelen in cognac in roomsaus: wat een aanrader. Fijne rose, limoncello spritz en biera Moretti. Als op het terras dan ook nog de (avond) zon schijnt, kan onze dag niet meer stuk.

Lekker uit eten bij Mezzaluna? Wij denken het wel. Echter laten wij liever bezorgen. Doen we al een jaar of vier. Tot volle tevredenheid? Altijd super geweest. Echter sedert een aantal maanden gaat bezorgen niet door. We werden altijd keurig telefonisch te woord gestaan. Dat het een keer niet lukt, is nog wel eens te begrijpen. Maar het loopt de spuigaten uit. De antwoorden zijn zeer wisselend en inmiddels ongeloofwaardig. We hebben een keurig gesprek gehad en uiteindelijk heb ik aangegeven dat je soms beter gewoon kunt stoppen met bezorgen als je de site informatie niet na kunt komen. Persoonlijk vind ik het te makkelijk om direct maar een negatieve review te schrijven. Maar de grens m.b.t. bezorgen is nu wel overschreden. Heel jammer, maar wij haken na jaren af.

Wij hadden om 7 uur gereserveerd en kwamen 10 minten van te voren. Dit was geen probleem volgens het restaurant. Om half 8 werd de menukaart gebracht en werd ons gevraagd of we wat drinken wouden. Dit werd pas gedaan nadat we zelf naar de bar gelopen waren om te vragen of ze ons konden helpen. Er werd geen excuses gemaakt voor het lange wachten.... daarnaa moesten we wederom zelf naar voren lopen om aan te geven dat we konden bestellen. Er werd ook weinig tot niet gevraagd of we nog wat wouden drinken (dat moesten we zelf aangeven). We hadden als eerst soep besteld. Hier moesten we drie kwartier tot een uur op wachten. De soep smaakte goed (behalve een laurierblad in de tomatensoep) en beviel prima. We hadden tijdens het bestellen van het voorgerecht ook gelijk het hoofdgerecht besteld. Deze kwam helaas wederom een uur later dan het voorgerecht. De pizza's waren oké, de lasagne was helaas erg hard en sommige stukken waren verbrand. De ravioli was een kleine portie en erg zout. Het eten was dus erg middelmatig, we moesten extreem lang wachten op het etenen en de bediening (we moesten zelf de bediening gaan halen). Het was niet erg druk in het restaurant en we hadden op zijn minst een excuses verwacht voor het lange wachten.

We made a reservation at 7:00 PM and arrived more than 10 minutes in advance. We ended up sitting until 7:30 PM before we finally received the menu card and were offered some drinks after we indicated that we had been there for a long time, We then ordered a starter and main course, the soup arrived another 45 minutes after ordering, fortunately there was nothing to complain about with the soup, which was excellent except for the bay leaf in the tomato soup, And finally we all ordered a main course, again it took a good 45 minutes, the pizzas were mediocre, the lasagna was rock hard and a bit burnt and ravioli was a very small portion and very salty.

Had a delicious meal with 2 daughters. We had nothing to celebrate, that's fine here too. 😉 Delicious homemade tomato soup, tuna salad, white pizza with olive (piadina), alioli and parmesan cheese, capelaccio with the tastiest salami sauce etc etc. Have you tried Limoncello Spritz yet? Soooo delicious. Recommended every time!!

For those who don't know Mezzaluna yet... Friday evening I had dinner with my son. You spoiled us so much. With really delicious food, as always and a small glass of Prosecco, because I still had to drive. Which I didn't have to pay for either. And the sandwich we received from you in advance was also delicious, just like the rest. So fresh and the pizzas have such a wonderfully light, super thin, crispy base. We ordered wine, sauvignon blanc. The waitress said they had it but they call it 'pinot grigio' differently 😂 We had to wait a long time for every dish but it was worth the wait. Very tasty and a fun night out.

We had to wait 1 hour and 40 minutes for our food. We knew it was busy, but we thought this was a very long time. We did receive free bread with delicious herb butter to satisfy our hunger. Staff was very friendly but the chef could not handle the crowds.

Ate delicious pizzas on the terrace in the sun! ☀️ 🍕 The pizzas were exactly the way you want them: with a crispy, thin, but still airy base that made the pizzas neither too heavy nor too greasy! You also get a glass of tap water without any comments if you ask for it. We left off a topping and it was actually deducted from the receipt! Very friendly service, fast service, and very reasonable prices! We will definitely come back when we are in Sneek again! 😄

This restaurant that mainly serves Italian cuisine has its affairs in good order. You get normal napkins (not disposable) and excellent portions. However, the service should be a little more aware of the unwritten rules in the catering industry: if you pay a large bill (15 people!), a small desert on the house can be taken off. Luckily the guy who paid for the receipt charges everything (I'm guessing inexperience) The lady who served us, on the other hand, was very friendly and did her job fantastically, compliments. Considering the quality of the food I would definitely go again.

Sorry! But I have to share this, we had dinner here tonight and it really wasn't tasty! I had spinach pasta which was undercooked with a sweet sauce, I was glad I finished it! The pizzas were impossible to cut and way too dry! The coffee was also poor! We said something about this and nothing was done about it. It was said that there was a new chef. Sorry, but we won't be coming here again!

Very nice staff. The food was tasty but very standard. Something like a side salad or some bread wasn't offered but it wasn't very expensive either so that probably has something to do with that. They had a lot of tasty choices on the dessert menu and it tasted good too. It's also nice that you can look into the kitchen. The restaurant could use some renovation.

The best pizza in Friesland and a wide area. We had to wait a very long time, therefore not five stars. It would be so much better if they would say: sorry it will take a little longer due to crowds, but here you have some bread and a few olives on the house for the inconvenience. That would have earned the 5th star.

Cucina italiana is a very good pizzaria, it doesn't look that good from the outside but it's AWESOME I can only say that it's perhaps the best pizza in Holland and I would recommend getting the pizza with extra cheese as the pizza will be much better Tastes.

Ordered risotto and pasta with pesto. In terms of taste, it was really great, but the risotto was just dry rice instead of the creamy consistency that a risotto should have. Very disappointing....

What an attractive and delicious restaurant this is! The dishes are delicious and everything is perfect! We will definitely come back here when we are in Sneek again. 4 stars for now, because we had to wait quite a long time. It took 45 minutes for our order to be taken and then another 45 minutes for our starter to arrive. In the end, the wait was definitely worth it, but it is an area of ​​concern.
