Do not book reservations now. You will receive confirmations by email, but the business is closed. Several guests were standing in front of a closed door. Not an advertisement!!

Our reservation was confirmed, we came all the way by train, but the restaurant turned out to be closed. We stood there on the street with other people who had also made reservations. Incredibly bad service!!

The food is decent. I just had to ask the young waitress if she would please not hold the tray of dishes so close to her mouth and nose.

I recently celebrated my birthday here with 11 people. We chose Da Wu because they offer a selection of sushi and tapas, so there is something for everyone. The food was delicious, the staff friendly, and the owner is a real gem. Keep up the great work, Edgar.

It's fine, but there's a new owner since recently. Maybe he needs to get into the swing of things, but the service hasn't improved.

Upon arrival, we were informed that no alcohol is served due to the license. That really should have been mentioned on the website... now we were already inside with three children, so leaving to look for something else is a bit difficult. The all-inclusive price was not compensated for this either. All the hot dishes tasted the same, sushi was poorly rolled. Three identical songs on repeat continuously, and none of the staff spoke Dutch. Great...

It is super delicious and the owner of the restaurant takes good care of the guests and I definitely recommend coming here to eat once.

Absolutely not recommended. We thought we'd try something different than Tatsu Haarlem. Well, this was a one-time thing, never again. Made a reservation, were shown to the table, and that was it. Sat there for 20 minutes; no one paid any attention to us, gave a grubby impression, dirty menu cards, dirty QR code card with old stains, stains on the partitions, the table was “cleaned” (actually the dirt spread over the table) with white paper napkins and a wet cloth without cleaning agent, the table was placed back crooked, and I had to straighten the furniture myself just to be able to sit. Left after 20 minutes and went to another sushi restaurant in Alkmaar where I did get my first course within 5 minutes. The staff wasn't exactly overflowing with friendliness. Once and never again. I also cannot take the 5-star reviews for this place seriously. Especially not because they are all new accounts that have posted only 1 review, and coincidentally only for this restaurant.

It's a shame; it's often a pleasant atmosphere and we've had good meals at Dawu. This time it was bad on all fronts: orders weren't arriving, food was lukewarm, no glass with your bottle of cola, dirty dishes everywhere, no wasabi etc. on the table. The owner tries his very best, but it was chaotic. We left early; this was the last time for us.

After Dawu was taken over…. Well, what can I say about it. Unfortunately, very disappointed with the restaurant. The food isn't like it used to be… a mega long wait for round 1, about 45 minutes minimum…. In the end, after a long wait for round 2, we just went home… a real shame.

The food here is delicious. The staff were also very attentive and incredibly friendly; even though the restaurant was full, they immediately found a table for us. The food arrived fresh and hot. The concept is really cool, and the portions are definitely filling. We will definitely be back.

A truly terrible experience regarding service and appointments. I placed an order this afternoon, expecting to receive it on time at the agreed-upon time (6:30 PM, before Ramadan). When I called the branch, they said it would be delivered within 2 minutes. 6:50 PM, still not delivered. I called again to say it would be delivered within 5 minutes. Upon arrival, it turned out my order was incomplete (which can happen). I then called again to ask if the remainder of my order could be delivered, and was given a vague explanation that "a colleague is having an argument behind the counter." Okay? The man then said it would be fixed and hung up. Personally, I'm not one for reviews, but I wanted to point out to future customers that this isn't the place to order your food.

Delicious food that's easy to order. Good portions and a wide selection of drinks. It's also really nice that there's plenty of room to sit, no small tables or stacked tables.

The food was "okay." Some dishes were good, some not so good. I had the feeling they used the same sauce for all the grilled dishes. The sushi was good and tasty. The staff seemed rushed, even when it wasn't busy. There was one woman with long hair in a ponytail who was very friendly behind the bar. Later, during the busy period, she also helped serve. She also took the time to answer questions, despite the increased crowd. I don't know if we'll go back again. I've eaten at better sushi or all-you-can-eat restaurants in Beverwijk.

Jesus, what a disaster last week! Dirty food wasn't cleared away, the whole table was left dirty, and drinks, especially those that weren't delivered, were pushed for about 40 minutes for drinks. If you don't have staff, don't take so many reservations. We'll never visit Dawu again.

We ordered sushi delivery; we were a street over, but they couldn't find it. No problem, the guy called to say he was a few shops over. Then he expected us to come outside to pick it up because he didn't know the way. We called from outside to tell him it was here, but he wasn't happy about it either. It's strange that you have to walk halfway across the street yourself with a delivery service. Hopeless.

The price-quality ratio is excellent. Keep in mind that you pay very little for so much food and drink. The service is considerably understaffed, resulting in tables cluttered with dirty dishes. You often get the wrong orders. But if you arrive on time, the food is really good, but as the evening progresses, the quality declines. However, if you're with a large group on a budget, this is highly recommended.

We've been coming here for over four years, but today was definitely our last time. The number of visitors has been declining steadily over the past year; we've been coming here consistently for months. Previously, under a male manager, it was pleasant and he made time for us. Unfortunately, he's been gone for two years. Over the past three months, things have been getting worse and worse. We simply wouldn't get our food for the last hour, and sometimes we'd have to wait 20 minutes for our order. After going to the counter several times and politely pointing this out, tonight was the breaking point. When we were paying, the lovely gentleman "Dennis" simply walked out right in front of us and then returned after five minutes. It wouldn't have taken much longer for us to simply leave. We'll try again in a few years. For now, we're going back to our old place in Assendelft to see how things are going there now. The food quality is still excellent, although that's already deteriorating.

The food itself was delicious. But it wasn't worth waiting an hour and a half for a dish. The drinks we ordered never arrived, but a cocktail did (we're minors without adult supervision). When I asked where the food was, I was completely ignored. Everything arrived in the last 20 minutes, and the staff was also slow.

Chicken thigh meat, took a long time to arrive and there weren't many tasty/special things... shame! Also, for every dish you don't finish, you're asked to pay €3. We hadn't seen this on the website! Apparently, things were arriving, and the door was left open. And that at -1 degrees Celsius! Just in case, bring your coat.

Under new ownership for a few months now, and you can tell right away. The food is delicious and fresh. Friendly service, good timing, something for everyone, and a very pleasant atmosphere. We'll definitely be back. Thanks for the service, Da Wu :)

We had a delicious meal. We asked for an allergy card at the beginning, which was provided. It clearly indicated each dish's allergen information. There was also pleasant background music and super friendly staff.

The new owner has really taken care of things. He's a very kind and hospitable man, who also acknowledges the previous owner's disappointing experiences/ratings. Excellent value for money! After my first visit in June 2021 with six people, I was curious if the high quality of the dishes wasn't a coincidence. So, this week, on August 26, 2021, I visited again. And yes, the food was once again of exceptionally high quality. I also appreciated the fast service, the extremely friendly yet professional approach, and the helpfulness of the head manager with any questions. This all-you-can-eat restaurant is absolutely recommended! The price is excellent for the quality. Moreover, you can easily park your car in front of the restaurant. So, after a well-filled stomach, you can roll back into your car, completely satisfied. I'm from Hoofddorp, but I'll definitely be making my way to Da Wu in Beverwijk often. Thanks, Da Wu! It was always a culinary feast, but under the new owner, Chen, the quality is even higher. I can recommend Da Wu to everyone. Why go to an expensive Sushi Kings or something? Since Dawu in Beverwijk got a new owner (November), this has truly become my favorite sushi spot. The quality has improved enormously: everything is fresh, perfectly prepared, and incredibly flavorful. You can just taste the extra care and love put into the food. What makes it all the better is the unparalleled value for money. You pay incredibly little for what you get, while the quality is top-notch. I love eating here and come back regularly. Highly recommended for anyone who loves good sushi!

When we arrived, it was a bit messy. They had to register our table so we could order. That took a while. But once the table was ready, ordering went smoothly and quickly. The food was delicious, and we had 2.5 hours of unlimited drinks, including drinks. Now that's a great concept.

Let me start with the sushi, which was, of course, fantastic—no complaints whatsoever! The service was very friendly and cheerful, which was infectious. We were allowed to choose our own spot in a surprisingly full restaurant on a Monday evening, so no complaints. We've been back many times and have never had any complaints so far. Definitely worth repeating!

The food arrived quickly on the first round. After that, it took a very long time. The food quality was good. But the men's restrooms were filthy. There was no control panel in the restroom, everything was dirty. This was early in the evening. We will never come back here!
