The new menu tonight! Tried lots of tasty new dishes. Very worthwhile. Recommended. Staff professional and very friendly. As a guest, I feel welcome. Water provided. Brilliantly clean glassware. Delicious, affordable wines served according to etiquette.

A hidden gem in an unlikely location. Full of atmosphere, music, very nice, spontaneous, and attentive service, but above all, delicious food. Surprisingly beautiful combinations of flavors and high-level dishes. Highly recommended.

Held the staff party there. Everything was perfectly organized. Delicious BBQ, and the party could go on until the late hours. Flexible regarding the options and they think along with you.

Food is top-notch, service too. The sign on the door said to order inside and pick up due to the extreme heat, but the staff still came outside. The cocktails are tasty, and there is plenty of space outside, plus even water to cool down; the atmosphere is good.

Well, the food is decent. The 'petit four' is quite a joke. A simple little chocolate and a square stale cookie, and something else we've forgotten again. A reasonable chef, but the restaurant charges just slightly too high prices.

We had 2 vegetarian and 2 regular surprise menus. They were fine, but the vegetarian options were quite limited, unfortunately! The starter was quite simple and the main course was pumpkin with some seeds from the oven and nothing else with it... a big disappointment! Too bad... it was fine last time!!

Had a lovely party in the Backyard yesterday. Everything was perfectly fine, but I definitely thought Zoï was the star of the cake! She was so friendly and dedicated as she asked us all what we wanted to drink and made it truly personal. Big thumbs up.

It's the kind of place where just a little more attention is paid to your food. The location sparks the imagination, but is naturally hyper-industrial, so you have to like that. Parking is no problem (which is nice for a change), and the spekkoek trio is highly recommended.

Our table was skipped or forgotten multiple times. The excuse was: busy. We waited 1.5 hours for just a main course for 10 people. If you come with a group of more than 8, all the food is a surprise. They cannot tell you what the menu is. The food was okay. It looked nice, but tasted less so.

We had high tea here. The food was fine, but nothing special because everything was served on the table all at once. Additionally, the service was good but didn't stand out.

Gotta love this sunny terrace. Lovely burrata with mushrooms for lunch.

Industrially designed and located on Nijmegen's fringes. The main course had one meat item, slow-cooked. You expect buttery-soft, melt-in-your-mouth meat. Unfortunately, the reality was a somewhat angular, somewhat tough piece of meat. The side vegetables were more flavorful! The main course with mushrooms was much better!

Pleasantly surprised by the taste experience! We went there without any expectations, but we were truly pleasantly surprised. Every dish we ordered was packed with flavor and beautifully prepared. The portions were a bit small for me personally, but the quality definitely made up for that. The only practical issue: the plates looked beautiful, but were sometimes a bit difficult to finish. All in all, highly recommended for anyone who loves good food. It's also a great place for drinks, with a good atmosphere and friendly staff!

Surprisingly delicious dinner. A large venue where you can enjoy drinks and play games indoors. Also great for the terrace in the summer and for the events they organize.

"Our kitchen needs to move on too," was the answer we got when we tried to order lunch at 3:04 PM, having worked up a bit of an appetite after our first drink. The kitchen closes for lunch at 3:00 PM (which isn't listed on the lunch menu, by the way), but a snack platter was available. I don't see the difference! But hey, we're just customers, after all. No, it was our first and last time. Apparently, things are going well, and they can spare a few customers. Fine, we're moving on too! 🙃

Unfortunately, a less than stellar experience at De Achtertuin. We opted for a three-course à la carte menu. The appetizers were delicious and made us eager for the rest of the evening. Unfortunately, things didn't quite go as planned afterward. With our main course, one of us wasn't served a dish while the other two were already eating. Only then did the waitstaff inform us that there had been a miscommunication with the kitchen and that the dish would arrive "as soon as possible." However, it took quite a while for it to arrive. Meanwhile, the wines we'd ordered with our main course didn't arrive until my table companions were already halfway through theirs. It was also striking that the waitstaff didn't seem to know the wine list well: the Chardonnay was advertised as a "reserva dinges" because the name was difficult to pronounce. For a glass of €9.10, you'd expect a little more attention and care. When the missing main course finally arrived, it was without an apology or any form of compensation – a cup of coffee or a glass of house wine would have been appropriate. We also weren't asked again if everything else was to our satisfaction. Finally, the coffees didn't arrive at the same time as the dessert, and we initially even received the wrong bill. When we reported this, we were given the correct receipt with the comment that we "had to check it ourselves." All in all, it's a shame: the food itself was fine, but the service and handling unfortunately left much to be desired.

It's a shame the limited service couldn't handle the large number of people. Very long waits. Half-cold fries that weren't delivered until 45 minutes after the rest of the food. The food was delicious, though. Small dessert portions that, again, took a very long time to arrive.

It was incredibly busy. The lady serving us was very friendly and did her very best, so that wasn't the problem! But when we arrived, we weren't even greeted. They were all busy. We also didn't get our food at the same time, so two people had to wait a very long time for it. Otherwise, the food was very good and tasty. Beautifully presented! Good quality.

We had a delicious oyster meal, but beware: the offer was supposed to be oysters and a glass of Cava at a reduced rate, oysters yes, Cava no, which is actually misleading advertising.

Due to a private party, it was less quiet than expected, and the staff was very busy with the event. Still, a compliment to our waitress who was there for the first day. She took excellent care of us! The food was absolutely delicious.

I had dinner here yesterday and had a truly wonderful experience. From the refreshing passion fruit lemonade to the beautifully crafted three-course meal, everything was exceptional. I ordered the burrata, the gnocchi, and the pistachio cake and each dish was bursting with flavour, presented beautifully, and absolutely delicious. Compliments to the chefs for creating such a memorable dining experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!

What a wonderful place! This restaurant is highly recommended for those looking for a nice dining experience in a nice location. The terrace is perfectly located: spacious, sunny and with a relaxed atmosphere. The food was excellent – ​​fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. I have been to the Achtertuin three times now and every time it has been very good. The service is great, the staff is friendly and very customer-oriented.

Nice location and will definitely come back for a nice terrace. Food is very tasty and nice flavors on the plate. Presentation is good. Controls could be a bit sharper. Enter at 6:00 PM and leave at 9:30 PM. Finished 2 beers. The second beer was forgotten and after 30 minutes we asked where our drinks were. I also included this as a tip at checkout. Above all, a great experience and see you soon!!

A hidden gem! Both inside and outside you can sit nicely, the vegetarian options are sufficient (and surprising!) and the service was nice without being pushy. Recommended as far as I'm concerned.

The staff is not alert. The menu seems like a lot, but the dishes turn out to be quite limited. If you order fish you get 3 sad little scraps with some sauce. I think the restaurant really (also) wants to make money on the food. The value for money is not favorable. And finally, there is a strange smell inside that resembles burnt plastic. There is real potential in this tent, but it still needs to be encouraged.

What a special case. It has appearance, excellent food, atmosphere and more than friendly staff. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the taste of a mojito; I've had better ones, but that certainly didn't spoil the fun. A memorable end to a memorable evening.

Club music not very appropriate for a dinner party. Took a very long time before we were helped. We made a reservation at half past seven, so we didn't have dinner until a quarter to nine. Then it turned out that they had forgotten one of the meals. Did get a drink from home. And very tasty food.

Special street food restaurant, located on the port/industrial estate, and in a former factory building (De Vasim), on the Winselingseweg in Nijmegen. We came here on a Friday for lunch (unfortunately the place was still almost empty). They have comfortable seats and a good, but simple lunch menu.

Super friendly staff, nice location, plenty of parking. However, the vegetable quiche is dry with hard pieces of vegetables in it. Tasteless.

The dishes on the normal menu are always tasty and fun combinations. The quiche was nothing special, in terms of taste or ingredients. It's a pity that this dish was chosen for vegetarians. The starter with burrata was tasty, the dessert was fine but not very special. I won't be going here with a group again anytime soon.

What a gem in Nijmegen! This hotspot is perfect for a delicious dinner and a nice drink. The menu is great and the place is also very nicely decorated. In the summer, the spacious terrace also turns into a mini festival site. You want this!
