Delicious lunch at a fair price with great service

the service is always fantastic

Enjoyed a lovely meal on the terrace at De Artiest in Venray, with a beautiful view of the square. The atmosphere is cozy and it's a great place to enjoy a drink or a snack in the city center. Definitely worth a visit on a sunny day!

A menu where you are advised to order at least 2 things I had a piece of beef that was like chewing gum and duck pie, two small toasts with a ball of pie just for my hollow tooth. Much too expensive for what we got. No I really did not think it was "good".

Unfortunately, the kitchen is temporarily understaffed due to a sick chef, so the choice is therefore less extensive.

For a drink before or after a show, staff effectiveness could be improved, customer handling takes unnecessarily long.

Great food, great service as always. In the summer a nice and spacious terrace.

Great food, nice location, but the service is a bit sloppy

We had the sirloin steak here. Unfortunately it was inedible due to large tendons in the meat. It was well prepared, but we were unable to eat a lot of it. The service was mixed. The young lady was in the laundry with the drinks. The young man saw that we were disappointed and tried to make things better by being nice. No, we have rarely had such bad meat.

Super theater highly recommended.

Nice and clean place, but the attendant doesn't hide her dissatisfaction with serving some customers. Nice place to sit and drink in the summer. Reasonable prices.

In short, I make things better at home. Dessert was okay.

The menu took a very long time, the 12 hours of food was not much. When picking up the food my adult daughter was told, And You! Very blunt! The girl was not friendly. Not even when I asked for the bill, she ignored me even though I was friendly to her? She was also very blunt at the table next to us, people were already looking at us for this. Too bad about all this

I didn't order whipped cream but got it anyway I had paid and then another waiter came and asked: Would you like something to drink?

Quality service, fresh desserts and most importantly quality coffee. I recommend you come and try it.

This is my first time in the restaurant is dont so bad food but the hamburger is very small l never see This in life but the friet was good and that was it

We chose 3 times a '12 hour' or whatever it is called. The dishes were very disappointing, in our opinion this was better a year ago. Service was mediocre. There was a friendly waitress who came to take our order and brought the food, but there was also a nasty girl who brought the drinks and was quite rude. When one person from the group walked in to pay, she completely ignored him and turned away. I don't know which leg she used to get out of bed that day.

Trying to eat something at De Artist today. The waiters walking on the terrace only concentrated on one part of the terrace. It seemed like the side where the people who came for the football sat. After waiting 10 minutes, someone came to take the order. We ordered something to drink and asked for the menu. Drinks were brought with the announcement that someone else was bringing the menus. All we saw, no one with a menu. I went inside to ask and they said it was probably because there was a change in staff. I fully understand that, but when I pointed out that the person who brought us drinks could not even bring a menu, she agreed with me that that was strange. She brought the cards and after 10 minutes no one had come to take our order. I paid for my drinks inside and left. It's great that they have a bar on the square and focus on the football match that was broadcast live on the screen, but don't forget other customers. We just went home for dinner. Shame about this missed opportunity. Don't know if I will eat here again in the future.

We often come there for lunch. Highly recommended! Food and service very good! Price/quality is also. Also a small area under the stairs for children to play/dress up.

Booked a theater package last weekend (dinner followed by a performance in the theater). Very convenient, because you are already in the theater and will not have any problems with the starting time of the performance. Parking is cheap throughout the city center, with a maximum daily rate of only 3 euros and within walking distance. The dining package (not a la carte) consisted of soup, main course with meat or fish, and an ice cream dessert. The choice was quite limited and at almost 30 euros we thought it was relatively expensive. The asparagus soup was very watery: as if the asparagus had just swum through it. The main course with meat consisted of lamb steaks, but they were quite tough because of the tendons (no, I didn't complain about that). Plus (delicious) fries, but virtually no vegetables. The fish dish consisted of breaded coalfish; a very cheap choice. In a regular restaurant I wouldn't have really appreciated this meal. The service was very correct and the staff friendly and fast, despite it being busy.

We gingen hier op zaterdagavond naar toe. Ik had een kip saté besteld. Echter, ik heb nog nooit zulke slechte kip gegeten.

Spontaneously went out for dinner with the family. Food was fine. Service sloppy - had to repeat everything on the order because the lady only really paid attention to the handsome boys (from the kitchen I believe) who were sitting at the bar drinking beers. Last round of drinks were also completely forgotten.

Bij de artiest voor kip sate gekozen de kip was rauw geen minuur gebakken geweest was volledig rauw en aangeboden gekregen voor een nieuwe hier geeen trek meer in natuurlijk bij het afreken 10% korting gekregen hiervoor. Belachelijk na een hap flinke buikpijn hiervan. Maar wat als hier salmonella in had gezeten. Schaam je

Everyone come just a little bit better

We've had 12 hours. Very little for a lot of money. For example on a plate: 3 small slices of bread. 2 slices of brie, 2 halves of walnuts, half a slice of ham, small slice of cheese, 1 fried egg with mini hamburger and a spoonful of mixed lettuce. It was tasty but we were still hungry. Fortunately, there were still a few food trucks on the theater square where we ordered something.

A spacious restaurant with a heated outdoor terrace. The menu is attractive with a good price/quality ratio. The staff is friendly. We will definitely come back here again.

Zojuist met 2 personen geluncht, wij hadden beiden 3 gerechtjes van de kaart, beiden een ander menu. Bij de eerste hap bleek het erg, erg zout te zijn. Wij hebben alle gerechtjes geproefd, en alles was erg zout. Onze borden lagen dus nog vol, aangegeven bij de serveester en we kregen de rekening, er werd niks mee gedaan, nog geen excuses.

Heb hier geluncht. Eten was lekker. Maar je krijgt wel heel erg weinig. Je hebt daarna nog honger. We hadden gebruik gemaakt van het tapas menu. Dit zou ik niet aanraden, puur omdat het zo weinig is. En dat is het qua prijs niet waard. In de zomer is buiten hier zitten ook erg warm, ook al hangt er een groot scherm. Voelt het niet aan als schaduw.

Prima restaurant, eten was goed, gamba's mwa, sate pittig en niet vermeld op de kaart. Service is gied, sfeer goed (fijne muziek op de achtergrond)

Gezelligom een lekker hapje te eten. Het 12 uurtje waarbij je uit 3 gerechtjes mag kiezen is erg lekker.

Voor mij weer een nieuwe kaart. Was erg lekker. Jammer van de service. Ze waren ons vergeten waardoor we bijna 20min voor ons uit hebben zitten kijken. Verder is de theater sfeer erg tof!

Één woord voor... Geweldig! Goede sfeer, heel attent personeel. Prachtige zaak. En eten.... werkelijk super! Ik had een vegetarische burger, werkelijk nergens nog zo lekker als hier gegeten. En de rekening? Ha!...die klopt niet met de kwaliteit. Veel te goedkoop. Is er dan geen nadeel. Jawel....wij wonen te ver weg..

Een laat 12 uurtje gegeten bij De Artiest. Leuk concept. Je kunt zelf drie gerechtjes kiezen en dat voor slechts 10 euro. Glutenvrij was geen probleem. Lekkere koffie. Aardige bediening.

Geweldig lekker eten, interessante keuzes op de kaart! Mijn favoriet van de kaart: 12 uurtje. 3x een gerecht kiezen waar keuzen is uit verschillende kleine gerechtjes zoals een stokje saté, uitsmijter op brood, soep, tonijnsalade op brood, pittige kip op brood en meer!

Vriendelijk personeel en edn gezellige locatie om een drankje te doen. De mogelijkheden om te eten hebben wij (nog) niet benut.

Wij waren rond 16.10 op het terras, we moesten lang wachten omdat het personeel stond te kletsen met vaste klanten. Wij bestelden een broodje maar na 20 minuten kwamen ze zeggen dat de kok eten en pas om 5 uur terug kwam dus geen broodje zeer lompe zaak. Op een reactie kwam als antwoord personeel tekort

Prima plek om samen wat drinken terwijl je naar de plein kijkt mensen lopen. In zomer is een leuk terras. Winters binnen...helaas nog niet geweest. Maar zal ik zeker binnenkort doen.

Fijn optreden gehad en lekker gegeten, op het overdekte terras waar het ondanks veel regen, goed vertoeven was!

Heerlijk eten, goede service en echt een absolute aanrader om te lunchen! Als je in de buurt ben van Venray, lekker gaan lunchen!👌De moeite waard!😁
