Steak And More in Centrum

Het begon bij het reserveren. Er werd gezegd dat het binnen vol was en alleen nog maar buiten konden zitten toen wij aangaven dat we echt perse binnen wouden zitten (aangezien het fris buiten was) zou er wat vershoven worden zodat we toch binnen een plekje zouden hebben. Eenmaal aangekomen was de helft van de tafels binnen gewoon vrij. De avond begon zoals verwacht. Voorgerecht was prima kwam ook redelijk snel. Maar daarna meer dan een 1 1/4 moeten wachten op 2 hoofdgerechten waardoor de honger eigenlijk al weg trok. Eenmaal aangekomen was de steak smakeloos en taai wat niet meer te redden was met peper en zout. Deze ook na 2 happen laten staan. Er is ook geen enkele keer tijdens of na het eten gevraagd of alles naar wens is geweest of dat et eten had gesmaakt. Dit was een goede reden om het dessert over te slaan.

(After asking, we only got a fork, so we had to ask for knives as well.) - The long wait for drinks to be taken. - Several people were turned away even though there were several empty tables. In short, not what we expected, especially since it wasn't busy at all. I'd say do something about it.

In het verleden hier vaak geweest altijd goed en vriendelijk personeel. Gister hier gegeten lang gewacht op het eten en toen het kwam stonk het naar rotte eieren kip was bedorven dit aangeven na lange tijd wachten hebben we nieuwe gekregen tafel naast ons had tournedos besteld ook deze was bedorven. Slechte kwaliteit en onbekwaam personeel. Dit was voor ons de laatste keer Steaks and More.

We had to wait 45 minutes for our food. We were the only guests. I had satay and my husband had a mixed grill, but it didn't come without fries; you had to order them separately. Finally, the food arrived. The satay tasted absolutely awful. It wasn't seasoned, but had a terrible aftertaste, as if the chicken hadn't tasted good. After a few pieces, I simply couldn't finish it. It wasn't grilled at all. My husband's meat was lukewarm. The waitress came to ask if everything was to my liking. I told her I hadn't liked the chicken, which she did respond politely. She asked if I wanted something different. I thanked her, but she said she could perhaps lower the price a bit, as that wasn't the intention. We went to pay, but no one came. My husband then went inside. The two staff members were chatting among themselves. They did, however, politely lower the bill. There were also other guests—a man, a woman, and a baby—who weren't served because none of the staff were outside. These guests left after waiting fifteen minutes. I thought it was a terrible food and service experience. I'll never go back and advise everyone against eating there. Expensive and poor quality. Now I understand why we were the only guests on the patio. Too bad. Unfortunately, after carefully reading the reviews, it's not uncommon for the food and the wait times to be bad and long. Perhaps it's time for an unannounced food inspection. Now I just hope I didn't catch anything from the chicken satay.

What a disappointment! For the prices charged, you might expect something, but it was a disappointment. The food was meh, the service was downright terrible. Not even a "welcome" or "thank you and goodbye." Feedback given was also ignored! The menu descriptions don't match what you get. For example, the appetizer platter should come with accompanying sauces, but you only get mayonnaise, which is a strange combination with, for example, the spring roll that was on the platter. There was no explanation about the platter itself. The main course You expect a "pork tenderloin" in a pan, not on a plate. And the promised mushroom sauce wasn't included either. We ate at this restaurant on Friday night, 20-06-2025, and both of us got food poisoning. Only our daughter was spared...

Even got a drink inside but it took forever there too. Service had no idea how to approach it.

May 25th we ate here. Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience. My husband and daughter had the pork tenderloin with stir-fried vegetables. My daughter had a piece of meat that was half the size of the piece of meat that my husband had. And the meat was swimming in the liquid of the vegetables. The food for my son was brought to the table behind us, which was taken back to the kitchen and immediately put down next to us. Not recommended, especially went there for the well-known highly regarded unlimited spare ribs. These were highly rated on the site and Google, but upon receiving the card it turned out that they were no longer available. They made no concessions and we just had to deal with it. We left quickly and ate somewhere else where we were treated well

Het eten was lekker, maar het duurde ontzettend lang voor we ons eten hadden. We zaten er als eerste, maar moesten al bijna 1 uur wachten op het voorgerecht. Na vragen kwam het hoofdgerecht wel sneller. De gasten die na ons kwamen moesten ook lang wachten. Een gezin met ook een jong kindje en een kleine tafel buiten hadden na 1.5 uur nog geen eten. Ik had medelij gekregen met ze. Het personeel is wel vriendelijk. Ik vind wachten echt niet erg en klaag niet snel, maar het duurde helaas te lang voor mij.

Voor de gevraagde prijzen mag je wat verwachten, maar het was een domper. Eten mwoah, bediening ronduit slecht. Niet eens een "welkom" of "Bedankt en tot ziens". Met gegeven feedback wordt ook niets gedaan! Omschrijvingen op de kaart kloppen niet met wat je krijgt, Zo zou je bij de Borrelplank bijpassende sausjes moeten krijgen, maar krijg je alleen Mayonaise wat een rare combo is bij bv loempia die op de plank lag. Bij de plank zelf kwam ook geen uitleg. Hoofdgerecht "Varkenshaaspannetje" verwacht je in een pannetje, niet op een bord. En de toegezegde champignonsaus zet er ook niet in. Of er frietjes bij mochten, ja hoor dat mag. Vervolgens werden er 2 porties frietjes op tafel gezet en voor 9 euro op de rekening gezet (?!). Het dessert BOSVRUCHTEN CHEESECAKECRUMBLE | BOSVRUCHTENIJS |BLAUW BESSEN | FRAMBOOS |WITTE CHOCOLADE, volgens de kaart, kregen we Aardbeien cheesecake met oreo crumble en vanille ijs.  Ergens gaat er hier iets goeds mis. Het eten zelf was zoals gezegd mwoah. Wij zullen hier niet terugkeren.

Je krijgt weinig voor wat je betaald, bij de spareribs geen groenten of aardappelpuree. verder prima ribs, vroeger was er onbeperkt spare-ribs maar dat is er niet meer terwijl het wel op website staat. Spaarsysteem doen ze niet meer, helaas. Jammer van de nieuwe eigenaar!

We were here with friends. There was some kind of beer festival going on, so it was incredibly crowded outside. We suspected that a lot of people had come to eat at your place, even though there was a BBQ. So, several dishes were no longer available. But we still enjoyed our meal.

Het viel vies regen!! Jaren geleden hier prima gegeten, nu echt niet. Tournedos rare bestelt, kreeg hem well done. Friet en saus kregen we pas nadat we erom moesten vragen. Bediening heeft 2 drankjes van de rekening gehaald uit coulance. Mar bedrag was nog zeer hoog! Wij gaan vanaf nu voor dit bedrag ergens anders in Venray eten.

The price/quality ratio has deteriorated significantly. They served well-done meat when it should have been rare, forgot the fries and sauces, and the corn on the cob was still refrigerator cold inside. As a gesture of goodwill, I left two drinks off the bill, for which I thank the service. But for the same price, I'll eat somewhere else in the future where the food is handled with more love and care.

Really enjoyed Burger challenge, one of the best burgers I have ever tasted. Started off with the garlic bread which was absolutely delicious. The only disappointment was the small bottle of Pepsi, Pepsi max, and sprite which only had 200ml in then but most restaurants were the same . I would definitely go back if I return to Venray. The burger xxl challenge was priced at €27.95 which was ok for 600g of quality home made burger and chips.

Went for a steak and burgers. The steak was fried very well. The burgers were good but not extraordinary. There was something missing in terms of atmosphere, but I cannot really say what that was.

Delicious marinated ribs. Very good chips and beer. That alone is worth coming here for. Steak nothing of the sort, not worth it. Grilled vegetables we got very greasy and not tasty. A restaurant without any atmosphere. Poor service, more sitting on their phones than looking to see if anyone in the room wanted to order or pay. Besides, people without positive energy. In addition, we were refused a table on the first floor despite being seated because "the staff are waiting for the guests who are there to leave so that they can clean up and close the upper floor". We had made a reservation for unlimited spareribs for 10 people. When we arrive we are told that there are 7 spare ribs in the entire store. We hadden gereserveerd via telefoon. Toen we aankwamen zagen we een onverzorgd terras. veel rommel dat op het terras gewaaid was. Naar binnen gegaan. Er was helemaal niemand. We waren de enige gasten voor een lunch. We werden vriendelijk ontvangen. Naar buiten kijken was niet uitnodigend, de ramen waren enorm smerig! Dit geeft geen fris en hygiënisch gevoel. We bekijken de kaart en kiezen allemaal iets. De gerechten werden klaar gemaakt. NA ruim een uur wachten vroegen we of het al bijna klaar was. Nog 10 minuten... en dat voor een paar broodjes en gebakken ei en hamburger. Hoe kan dat zo lang duren??? er waren geen andere gasten. Het eten was lekker. De porties erg verschillend. Een broodje carpaccio was van triangel formaat. daarin tegen was een broodje mozzarella uit de oven wel erg klein. Dat verschil zie je niet terug in prijs. de muziek stond veel te hard. na het eten kwam er een sigaretten rooklucht het restaurant binnen. dit kwam omdat de deur naar buiten open stond aan de zijkant waar het personeel even aan het roken was. Kortom, prima eten maar het blijft voor ons voor deze ene keer. We komen niet terug!

Have eaten at Steaks & More several times in the past. Came back because it was of good quality and had previously provided a nice evening. I still had a number of stamp cards and wanted to hand them in. Unfortunately, a lot has changed in recent times. Reserved for 2 people, got a table for 4, nothing to say about it. When I pulled up a chair, I grabbed a greasy chair, where someone was sitting in front of me, with greasy spare rib fingers. Not tasty and I immediately had to wash my hands. Ordered carpaccio and prawns as a starter. Carpaccio was good, but the prawns, well, they were small prawns, which were unfortunately fried too long. As a main course the Picanha of 850gr. ordered. Medium, with fries and two sauces. Was served on a bed of pale mashed potatoes, accompanied by a few tomatoes and 2 halves of broccoli florets. Didn't see fries. The size was strange and the shape of the “tailpiece” could not be found. The salt and pepper in the mill were wet and clumped together and unusable. . The “picanha” was tough, but above all, spoiled. The meat was no longer good, smelled and tasted strange/nasty. Yuck, not what we were looking forward to. I calmly contacted the staff and informed them that the piece of meat was not good and that we were returning it. After contacting the manager, we were asked what alternative we wanted from the menu, because the next piece of picanha would come from the same piece of meat. “she wanted to take it off the bill, and we could order something else” No further apology, in fact; Another customer liked it, would that also have been the same piece of meat? I ordered a Tournedos and chicken satay. Ordered the Tournedos Medium Rare, but unfortunately it was overcooked the first time. The chicken satay was also very dry. Delicious food. We had not made a reservation and were able to go straight away. Restaurant was well stocked, but not full. If I had known in advance that you could get on the 'Wall of Fame' by eating a 650 gram hamburger, I would certainly have eaten a little less beforehand. A true steakhouse. Large portions to choose from. Price/quality is excellent. The spareribs were good, as was the steak. At the top you have a beautiful view over Henseniusplein. No 5th star because after the soup (delicious soup of the day) we had to wait another hour for the main meal.

Dagen geleden telefonisch gereserveerd. Tafel voor twee om 16.30 u We zijn de eerste gasten. We bestellen drankjes en bekijken de kaart en bestellen ons hoofdgerecht. Even later komt de gastvrouw terug en geeft aan dat er pas vanaf 1700 u kan worden besteld want dan begint de kok omdat ze zelf eerst moeten eten. Ik dacht dat ze een grap maakte. Omdat we niet heel veel tijd hebben bestellen we meteen. Nu zegt ze: spareribs moeten 20 m in de oven. Dan kijk ik nog even op de kaart maar de gastvrouw is nergens meer te bekennen. We balen vreselijk en besluiten om onze drankjes (half op) te laten staan en begeven ons beneden naar de kassa. Ik geef aan zwaar teleurgesteld te zijn en dat ik vooraf hier niks van wist. Waarom open je als je keuken niet open is. Ze geeft me de rekening van de drankjes die ik betaal. Ik heb zoiets nog nooit meegemaakt. Raar dat dit bij reserveren niet gemeld is. Een horecazaak midden in Venray, zaterdagmiddag. Slecht hoor.

Lang op eten moeten wachten (meer als een uur) Spare rib zonder salade of frietjes. Drinken moeten vragen, zou door de bediening gevraagd moeten worden. Bediening was onverschillig, gooide de borden bijna op tafel. In 3,5 uur tijd 3 drankjes gedronken en dan is alleen het eerste drankje uit henzelf opgenomen. De spare rib was lekker maar dat was dan ook het enige wat ik een voldoende vond. Erg jammer.

Vond de spareribs tegenvallen. Voorgekookte spareribs miste de grill/bbq smaak...

We hebben hier heerlijk gegeten. Het vlees is van goede kwaliteit en de service is top! De bediening kwam ons meermaals vragen of alles naar wens was en was zeer attent. Ik had de onbeperkt spareribs en m'n vrouw de Tournedos. De spareribs waren uitmuntend. Heerlijk mals, ontzettend veel vlees aan het bot en heerlijk gemarineerd. Ik kreeg m'n 2e rib net niet op. De Tournedos van m'n vrouw moest zeer well done zijn doordat ze zwanger is. Hij kleurde nog 'n klein beetje rosé en deze werd dan ook zonder probleem nog heel even op het vuur gelegd. We komen hier zeker nog 'n keer terug!

Een lekkere salade gegeten met biefstukpuntjes. Fijn dat deze in een groot of in een keiner portie te bestellen is. Wat mij betreft was het kleinere portie groot genoeg als avondeten. Aardig personeel.

Carpaccio was wat te koud, waardoor smaak van het vlees minder tot zijn recht kwam, verder lekker gegeten

Lekker eten. Alleen is het merkbaar dat het personeel weinig horeca ervaring heeft. Maar van dat probleem heeft bijna elke zaak last van......helaas. Hier kan her restaurant zelf ook niets aan doen.

Eten was goed. De bediening was top. Gastheer Wessel weet hoe het hoort! Hij zorgt voor een goede sfeer.

Leider war der Starter mit den BBQ Nachos etwas überteuert, dafür das leckerste von allem. Die Burger sind viel zu fest und zu zäh. Die Kinder Portionen haben aber das beste Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Zeer matige inrichting, kaal en niet gezellig, ongeïnteresseerd personeel. Tournedos besteld en op de kaart stond geserveerd met frites en groente. Onze borden kwamen met het vlees de saus naar keuze en gegarneerd met 3 cherry tomaatjes. En wat tuinkers of iets dergelijk boven op het biefstukje, zo ook het bakje friet wat er erg onappetijtelijk uitzag en niet knapperig was. Geen groenten. Toen ik vroeg waar de groenten bleef werd me verteld zonder blikken of blozen dat mijn 3 cherry tomaatjes de groenten waren. Wat een aanfluiting en dat voor een 35 euro hoofdgerecht.. Steaks en more ga je schamen..!!!! Eerste en meteen de laatste keer.. Ik zeg niet doen, overslaan en links laten liggen

We waren met een heel groot gezelschap. Daarom was de keuze was wat kleiner op de menu kaart. Was van te voren verteld. Vlees en bediening waren prima, alleen de frietjes veel te zout. Al met al prima gegeten en het was gezellig.

Heerlijke steak vriendelijke bediening. Binnen was het helaas al vol. Het was prima weer dus kon op het terras plaats nemen.

Eten was lekker maar geen groenten bij de speribs en exstra friet moet je betalen Mijn man hat speribs en ik dan zou je zeggen dat je dan niet bij hoeft te betalen maar daar wel dus want was ook weinig friet wat je krijgt dus daar nooit meer eten en heb ik ook gezegd tegen der

Via Social Deal hier terechtgekomen, en niet teleurgesteld. Hartstikke goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding.

Heerlijke plaats om goed te eten voor een eerlijke prijs. Soms duurt het wachten wat lang, maar het personeel is vriendelijk en gemotiveerd en het eten is het wachten waard.

Een fijn, klein restaurant met super vriendelijke bediening en echt lekker eten. En jawel, we hebben de legendarische wall of fame mogen bereiken!!!

Wat jammer! Vlees was kwalitatief goed maar rest was matig. Schnitzels was gefrituurd en droog met droge tomaten tapenade en goedkoop cheddar zonder enige smaak. BBQ saus die volgens mijn niet eens langs BBq had gelegen en chimichurri zonder zout en body. Wel een tip voor chef gebruik wel eens zout bij vlees want alles was niet op smaak ! Personeel was ongetwijfeld slecht en niet aanwezig drankjes duurden 30 minuten en vervolgens tonden ze geen interesse aan tafel. In kort als je niet erg vind om voor je hoofdgerecht meer dan 1 uur wachten en je wil lekker een avondje voor je zelf zonder dat personeel aan jou aandacht heeft dan is die plek zeker voor jou !

Leuke zaak, gebruik gemaakt van social deal. Prima deal!
