De Balije Tuin in Nootdorp

Dit weekend hier voor de tweede keer geweest. Waar ik de eerste keer hier genoten heb van een heerlijke lunch, dit keer gekozen voor een high wine. De wijnen waren van uitstekende kwaliteit en de hapjes heerlijk. Op het menu staan originele gerechten en het voelt alsof veel echt vers gemaakt is. Ik heb genoten en ga hier zeker vaker terugkomen.

Very much enjoyed our dinner at this place. Staff was very friendly and food was excellent. In general: value for money. As a vegetarian I would welcome more vegetarian choices.

Great location just off the cycle track. Service was pretty good given it was relatively busy on a Sunday lunchtime. Excellent coffee and apple cake with cream. Lovely design and outdoor space.

Op 14 juni hebben we in de Balijetuin ons feest gehouden. Wat een fijne plek. Een heerlijke borrel en diner met familie en vrienden. Met top producten en veel mogelijkheden voor alle dieetwensen. Flexibel, kwaliteit en veel persoonlijke aandacht. Kortom een parel in de polder.

Helaas is het niet meer wat het geweest is. Wij komen hier al sinds de opening en toen was het fantastisch. Misschien vanwege het succes maar zowel de bediening als de keuken zijn kwalitatief beduidend minder geworden en ook spijtig om te zien dat er steeds meer vlees (lees vermoord dier) op de kaart staat en dat voor eigenaren die zelf vegetariërs zijn. Deze hele week is het prachtig weer geweest maar de meest zonnige kant aan de voorzijde is wederom gesloten, zo jammer allemaal.

Uitstekende ervaring gehad met een groep van 18 personen. Taarten waren lekker, soepjes (wortel, tomaat) zijn een aanrader. Ook de quiches, wraps, salades waren prima. Ondanks de drukte heeft het personeel ons uitstekend geholpen.

Erg stug in het meedenken. Het ietsje veranderen aan het menu omdat iemand iets niet mag/kan eten kan echt niet. Zou niet nodig moeten zijn. Niet het juiste krijgen van wat er is besteld en veel was smakeloos. Jammer. Sfeer is leuk.

Delicious! Had lunch here for the first time yesterday unexpectedly because we were passing by. What an incredibly nice, cozy and atmospheric place. With many tasty dishes on the menu and everything tasted delicious! Also good price-quality ratio!

Het was druk maar de logistiek is hier slecht geregeld. Meer dan een half uur wachten op een kop koffie! De bediening loopt doelloos rond, want achter de bar gebeurt het niet. Slechts 1 persoon maakt koffie en doet blijkbaar ook nog allerlei andere dingen. Slecht management

Beautiful location and friendly staff.

I went here for lunch with a friend. She wears a headscarf, I don't. We come in, it's pleasantly busy. For us two men who ask if there is still room, and no, the gentlemen have not made a reservation. "Yes, certainly by the window" is the immediate response. There is also one table available. I say "can we have the table next to it?". "Let's have a look because we are full...". It takes a very long time to look, but I make a comment that this was apparently not necessary for the two gentlemen. Ultimately - with some reluctance - we are assigned the table. When we are having lunch we see that half of the tables are empty. It could be a one-off, it could be one girl in the ministry, but this felt so incredibly wrong. If you wear a headscarf there is suddenly no room. My friend shrugged. She is used to it and thinks it is their problem. Then the lunch menu: it is quite limited if you want a sandwich. Tea and coffee are good. Loose tea and a decent cup for cappuccino.

Good location to take a break during a hiking or cycling trip. Quick and very friendly service. Delicious toasted sandwiches 😀. Fresh food locally sourced.

A place to grab a terrace during your bike ride. Also a place to eat neatly. Beautiful, well-appointed place. Nice staff, very nice.

Beautiful brasserie with dinner on some evenings. Beautiful decor. Various dishes, also vegetarian. Friendly and helpful employees. And of course a large garden with plenty of terrace in sun and shade. Of course also a beautiful location for parties!

The restaurant looks really beautiful and the food tastes good. 😊👍🏻 What we thought was a shame, however, was the bit of personal attention. The food was neatly served. However, the glasses were empty for quite a long time, people were not moving around consistently, the wine we ordered did not arrive and when we went to check, employees were standing behind the bar with their phones in their hands. After putting the phone away the question was: 'what did you say?'. When leaving the restaurant we once again missed the personal attention. All the young colleagues in particular were standing behind the bar and were busy with each other. It made us feel not really seen and it also felt a bit uncomfortable. The bill was not that bad, which is absolutely not a problem, but for €260 you expect a bit more. It seemed that there was not really a manager present on the work floor. Maybe that was the reason tonight. All in all, the food was good, but in terms of atmosphere, we will probably choose a different place next time. 🙏🏼

Zaterdag avond 11 oktober gegeten met familie , zowel voor de vegetarische als de vleeseter was het uitstekend . In augustus waren we hier met 18 mensen voor de lunch . Het is een genoegen om hier te zijn . Ook de mensen die daar werken zijn heel erg vriendelijk, dit restaurant is een echt aanrader

It was a pleasant lunch with my daughter, always a pleasant atmosphere with delicious food.

Small portions and pricey. I think 3 small skewers of satay for 18.50 without fries is quite expensive. Service was not unfriendly but could be a bit more spontaneous. In short, too expensive for what you get. Don't go there if you are really hungry because you will be shocked. But maybe I shouldn't complain about it and eat something at home beforehand. No further comments.

Het ligt op een mooie locatie en buiten lunchen op het goed ingerichte terras is echt genieten. De verhouding prijs-kwaliteit is voor onze beleving niet juist, dit geldt voor zowel de lunch en het diner. Naar ons gevoel trachten ze een bepaalde luxe in de gerechten aan te brengen welke niet passend is bij het concept van een brasserie en waarmee de prijs-kwaliteit niet klopt.

Beautiful place, but our experience was very bad. First of all, the service is friendly but not attentive. They hardly came by. When we waved it wasn't noticeable either, because they didn't look around properly. They walked back in empty-handed, while our table was full of empty glasses and empty snacks platter. The food only came after 55 minutes after we had asked twice where it was. Then the food came but it was not complete and my daughter had to wait even longer for her food. They forgot to bring the drink we were offered for free and it was still on the bill. We did receive an apology and a voucher for ten euros as an apology. This experience was an accumulation of mistakes. Too bad, because it is a beautiful place.

Locatie is prachtig en bediening ook vriendelijk. Helaas viel de lunch erg tegen en prijs/kwaliteit is niet in balans. Nog nooit zo’n karige salade gezien. Zalmsalade 19,50 €: Mini stukje opgerolde zalm met wat kropsla en een droge snee brood. Salade caprese 17,50€ heel veel kropsla en een bol buffelmozzarella en dun stukje tomaat en ook zo’n droge snee brood. Hadden er zelf maar boter bij gevraagd. Bij het afrekenen hebben we aangegeven niet tevreden te zijn. Er schijnen meer klachten binnen te komen. Nieuwe chef, nieuwe kaart. Hopelijk gaat de eigenaar wat doen met de kritiek. Ons zien ze voorlopig niet terug. Voorheen trouwens altijd heerlijk gegeten.

Locatie is superleuk. Personeel is heel vriendelijk. Kwaliteit van eten wordt helaas steeds minder. Brood was droog. Eigeel van de uitsmijter was hard (zoals een gekookt ei). Ik had de pompoensalade, special van de dag. Was veel pompoen, verse kruiden en 4 hele kleine stukjes geitenkaas. Niet heel speciaal. Water voor de hond moet je om vragen. Jammer het ligt in een bos en je komt daar meestal aan na een wandeling met de hond.

After a number of good experiences, our last visit was very disappointing. Very limited lunch menu, price and quality are no longer correct. €17.50 for 2 plain sandwiches with a little meat and soy beans. The price for a sandwich is really out of proportion to what you get. Too bad, it was so good. We won't be back for a while.

Remote restaurant with narrow approach route. Sufficient parking spaces. Service mediocre; you had to wave and call for attention repeatedly to be noticed. Limited lunch menu. Almost everything based on bread and boring salads. Nevertheless, we lost thirty euros per person. Definitely not recommended.

We come here every now and then for coffee or a good lunch. However, during our last visit, some changes had been made to the menu. The delicious carpaccio on bread has been removed. There is also less choice. And more vegetarian menus on the menu. There is nothing wrong with that, but for non-vegetarian customers there is little left to choose from. Shame.

Had a pot of stew vegetables. Extremely hard. Called for salad. More lettuce than filling. Also chicken satay. Didn't add anything. 18 euros. Prawn crackers tough. Leave. Add some lettuce. Satay sauce with just water. In short, not worth the money. Bad cook. Was also a vacancy. We won't be going there again for a while.

beautiful location with a nice terrace. we had made a reservation for 5.45 pm. our film at pathe Ypenburg started at 8 p.m. enough time you would think. Well not. we had to wait a very long time for our food. so we had to eat in a hurry, which really annoyed us. I wanted dessert and coffee but we didn't get that. Great meal, unfortunately the service was quite surly, perhaps not her day. The wait for lunch was exceptionally long. It is a nice spacious garden to sit in. Let's see if we feel more at home a second time with nice warm weather.

A really nice place to eat. Super location. In a beautiful cycling area. There are many cyclists who drive past you in large groups, but if you leave the main cycle path you will no longer be bothered by this. The service is top notch, you can sit on the terrace. The food looked very good and was also very tasty. We're having a baby shower there next week. I will post pictures of that as well.

Beautiful and cozy restaurant in a top location. Located between the Balijbos and the Delftse Hout at bicycle junction 90. Stopped here on King's Day for a coffee and hot chocolate. We received a nice piece of brownie from the house and because it was King's Day also an orange bitter. Cheerful service.
