Five of us coworkers went on a trip, and we really liked the place and the service. We went all four days for drinks. We didn't eat, but everything looked delicious. We're also members of the Hospitality Guild.

Reasonably priced beers with a massive selection. Friendly atmosphere with indoor and outdoor table. The burger was great, but the price is a little expensive for just as burger.

Great atmosphere, even greater drinks & food and very attentive and friendly staff. The beer selection is incredible. As a starter we had Bitterballen (vegan) which were super crispy with a mushroom filling - tasty! - and as a main dish a cheeseburger and a vegetarian burger. The Burgers were juicy and cooked to perfection! Thank you for this wonderful experience.

I love this place! They have a very extensive beer menu. There are lots of options for beers on the tap, and a lot more for bottled beers. I tried the cheeseburger and fries, both were very good. This is a place where I regularly take my friends to. Never had a bad experience.

Really helpful staff, great atmosphere and fantastic drinks.

On July 12th, we had dinner at the Biertuin, and it was a lovely experience. The food was delicious – everything was well-prepared, full of flavor, and you could tell they'd put a lot of care into it. The atmosphere was also perfect: cozy, lively, and a great place to hang out with friends. You immediately feel at ease. The only downside? We sat at the table for a while before anyone asked what we wanted to eat. We ended up calling someone over to take our order. Not a huge deal, but it was noticeable. Other than that, the evening was fantastic. The service was friendly, and the food arrived quickly after we ordered. We will definitely return when we're in Amsterdam.

If you wanna pay premium prices for normal beer and a ridiculous tiny amount of food but in a good location…this is it. This place was a lot better a couple of years ago. Thank you but not coming back.

We went to the Copper Room with a group of 22 people. Excellent service. Huge beer selection. The food was truly amazing, especially the green pepper dip (be careful, it's hot!). Thanks for a wonderful evening.

Very nice restaurant, great service from the staff, and excellent food. They had sausages, spare ribs, and brisket. Everything was freshly prepared and very tasty. Highly recommended!

Nice place in the middle of the city where the atmosphere and food are delicious. The service made the evening complete; fun, cozy and knowledgeable! Surprised our youngest with delicious mocktails and let the middle child taste different beers. Will come back soon!

Nice beer selection, that's nice. The food is just sad. I only saw the name of the dish, and thought I didn't need to look any further. Carnivore platter. When ordering, they said: that can only be done with 2 people. Tension builds 😉 Found a willing person to share with. We get the food, sad tray with some food. Half is just filling. A scorched lemon, really, who eats that? This is just not made for sharing. And the price: 65 euros. Just buy 2 cheeseburgers the nose, you have a much better meal for the same money. Great beer selection, service and food.

I was here a few days ago with my boyfriend to have a drink & something to eat & it was really nice. They have good food (we had a pork sausage with pickles & pickled peppers (which I love) & spare ribs that were also tasty. Also nice wines & beers (for the beer drinkers) & the staff was really friendly, fast & pay close attention if you want to order something. Atmosphere was also very cozy & it was a spacious space we didn't almost sit on other people's laps. All in all we had a good time here & we will do that more often ^^

I had my birthday here in the Copper Room it was such a wonderful night. In the lead up Lisa was so great at answering all my questions and on the night the manager Kat, Tim the bar person and the rest of the team were so kind and helpful. If you’re looking for somewhere central to celebrate a special occasion I can’t recommend this place enough! Thank you for helping to make the night so special.

Good food, great beers, service that can be improved

An attractive location with a nice menu of food and drinks located on the Prinsengracht. Within walking distance of Leidse and Koningsplein. There are spaces available for groups and friends outings. If you are in the area, go inside.

Ordered the brisket which was around 23 euros and only got 4 thin slices of brisket that put together wouldn’t amount to an average brisket slice and is served with a huge pile of coleslaw on the side which made the brisket look even smaller. Felt insulted that they would even serve this. Wouldn’t recommend eating here!

Good place to just have drinks, skipthe food. The food was terrible. The schnitzel was dry and boring and came with a super overpeppered sauce which was not enjoyable. The aubergine waa beyond bad, completely oversalted and unedible. When the service was told of how bad the aubergine was the response was "Yes, we are taking it off the menu on Tuesday"...Service was also very slow ans you had to fight for their attention.

shocking place/atmosphere to go and eat, even thought we didn’t eat. the place is extremely noisy even thought we booked a table they seated us in the noisiest section of the restaurant. furthermore the service was shocking, no one came to take our order as we waited 20 minutes for a waiter, so we decided to walk out - would NOT recommend

had booked a table and when we arrived were put in the corner of the very loud communal table /drinking area, table was very dirty, when we asked to move were offered seats in the actual restaurant thats shown online then told we actually cant sit there and were given a table next to our original one. overall very unwelcoming we left before ordering

A place I visit every time I travel to Czech Republic~

Young girl on the bar isn’t specially friendly. Not willing to give much help about the different types of beer. Shouldn’t be working on a bar of this style.

The only downside was the noise because I could barely hear my guests...

Was at the Biertuin for some drinks with friends (25Nov24). The bartender Yannik (not sure of spelling) was really lovely. He talked us through the selection of beers and selected options we really liked. Would definitely recommend if you want to try some beers! Food looked good, but we did not try that.

Spare ribs were great, burgers ok, but with a black bean garlic 'sauce' that was nasty. Service is good. The Biertuin is a café and a room with long tables and benches. There is no atmosphere in the beer garden. You can barely hear each other when it's busy.

Expensive, full, and dirty glasses. If you are not satisfied with the beer or the service, you are out of luck and you can pay full price, even if you have only had one sip.

Nice place but the service is horrible. Had a few drinks and the last round we ordered their craft beer, we really didn’t like the taste of it and communicated this to the staff, turns out you need to pay for it even if you only had one sip. Very disappointing.

The perfect place to pre-glow and create a foundation. Food is great and the beer selection is great.

Service was fast. We got seats quickly as well as got attended to quickly. We got beers and food. We had 2 kinda of burgers, fried chicken and pastrami. We also had the nachos. The food came quickly and it was really great. The nachos were sooo good. Very loaded. The chicken on the nachos were nicely flavoured and different to our fried chicken burger. We were very hungry and were satisfied with service and food.

Took a while to get out drinks going, but once started their was decent service.

It wasn't crowded, probably 3-4 tables only. Had some great pub food: nachos + Guiness and my gf had the vegetarian burger with a side of baked broccoli topped with roasted hazelnuts + Amstel Radler. She said it was the best veggie burger she ever had, had to taste it and 100% agree. Couldn't really tell it wasn't meat based. Great drinks, great service, great music. Perfect for a pub stop.

We made a reservation for a group of 10 people in June 2024 and our stay at De Biertuin Prinsengracht was great. We were asked to leave a deposit of 10€ per person in advance because we were a larger group. The pre-paid amount was automatically removed from the final bill. Very good experience! The service was really lovely and even gave us recommendations where to go in Amsterdam. We also liked the dinner and the beer. Thank you!

Very nice place, great selection of beers and great food. Delicious chicken wings! Even the sandwiches (really large burger, I gave up on ordering it for this reason but I tasted it from my husband) very good, the nachos, the chicken, the ribs, everything really good and the service very fast. We went on a Friday and there was a bit of a mess in the sense that it was full and next to us there was a table of slightly noisy Swiss kids. 😅 We booked a few days before for 10 people and they asked for an advance of €100 which was then debited from the account. Waiters were polite and very helpful even with those who didn't speak/understand English.

Beautiful and really unexpectedly large

Remains a fairly hidden place in the center. But service is top notch, the beer is tasty (and lots of choice) and the food goes well with the beers. Favorite base before a theater performance!

Very nice restaurant inside, the food was good and tasty, a shame about the service which was not good at all: extremely slow. We were certainly a large group, but more than an hour to bring appetizers and sandwiches seems a bit much to me; I'll probably go back.

I had made a reservation at 3:00 PM, but when I walked in at 2:57 PM I had to wait outside because they were "not open yet". Furthermore, the service is just mediocre, impatient with a large order for a group

Our recent visit to this place left us with conflicting feelings. The cozy ambiance was inviting, but the staff’s rudeness and arrogance, coupled with a lack of professionalism from the manager, tarnished the experience. The waitress’s attitude suggested a sense of entitlement, and the manager failed to address our concerns. Despite the aesthetically pleasing environment, the need for improvement in customer service and staff training is evident. With changes in management and staff attitude Biertuin could transform into a truly enjoyable spot. We hope our feedback is considered, as enhancing customer satisfaction is key to make Biertuin a go-to destination.

Very nice bar in Prinsengracht. Vibe is sort of similar to the beergardens in Munich.

Excellent food for Amsterdam, a little expensive, but worth it rather than getting ripped off in places that should be better on paper. Very friendly and professional waiter. They made us food even though the kitchen was closing. Excellent and very wide selection of beers. Not a very hot place unfortunately, but very nice if you like that kind of place.

Get off the beaten track a little to this great craft beer bar (and restaurant). Extremely helpful and friendly staff, great with the beer recommendations. And a very cool vibe and atmosphere. Definitely an escape from the touristy hustle and bustle of the high streets.

Friendly service, excellent beer and cozy atmosphere. Our part of 5 arrived and was seated at high top table that would have been a challenge for my 90 year-old mother-in-law. The staff asked a couple seated at a booth to switch with us and they did! So nice. The half-chicken looked tasty and was. I ordered fish and chips—not a good choice when the fryer oil needs a refresh. IPA beer was excellent.

Very nice place, but the waiters are the most unfriendly I ever met. We asked them if we could wait for some friends to reach us before starting ordering, and they said no. It was one of our friends’ birthday and we asked them to keep the cake we brought from outside in the fridge for a couple of hours and they charged us 20€ for this. I mean, dude… Finally, when we asked for the cake, they didn’t even know where it was and we had to ask at least 3 different people before getting it in our hands. I doubt I’ll go back.
