De Brasserie in De Leij

Everything came so fast. The drinks(orange juice and coffee) arrived in 2-3 minutes, and the food in only 10-15 minutes. The loaded fries are soooo good MUST TRY if you like beef and cheedar. Just wow. And the portions are generous for the prices. The waitresses were so nice to us. I liked that place, and I recommend it. We visited on sunday and there was enough space, it’s a big terrace. :)

The food was great, bit pricey, but you get your money's worth. The only problem we had was The service. It was so slow. We arrived at around 6:40 and got our order taken 10 minutes later. We chose The unlimited spareribs and nachos. We waited almost 20 minutes for the food. When my partner finished and orderbedrag more ribs, we was once again waiting 10 a 15 minutes, for whats supposed to be unlimited spareribs. Then The dessert. We waited almost 30 minutes for some ice cream and fruit. Next time I will stick to a appetizer or main, but not a full course I originally wanted to gives a tip, but the service was just too slow. But the staff is very nice and helpful.

My honest opinion, great food and nice staff. Calzona is definitely recommended.

What a shame about the nice location and fine service. Ordered spareribs yesterday. They tasted just like they looked. Dry and tasteless, seemed to have come out of the microwave. Fries tasteless too. My girlfriend's triple burger was also tasteless, meat quality super bad....the bubble tea was also extremely bad. When asked by the friendly young lady if everything tasted good, we said yes. Because we didn't want to stay here a minute longer.... I would like to say to the owner: please work on the quality of the products. Prices are on the high side, so you expect reasonable quality. I was with a business associate and short on time. Thought I'd give it a chance. Normally we go to Stapperij de Korenbloem, Het Dorstige Hert, or Ijs en Spijs. We have never been disappointed there, by the way. But now I was pressed for time, so maybe it would be acceptable this time. The 'Groene Vlinder' omelette was served on very tasteless brown bread. The omelette was clearly in the pan too long, or under a heat lamp. Egg yolks were hard. Mushrooms were also on the tab. The "specialty" hot meat sandwich was even worse. 14.95 for the cheapest little rolls you can find. 2 slices of frikandel and some satay sauce slapped on top... also totally tasteless. But then again, what do you expect from an owner who refuses to face reality. First-class gaslighter. €13.00 fried egg sandwich, €14.95 hot meat sandwich, €3.30 Spa Red, €3.75 tonic. For a quality that is easily surpassed by Cafeteria de Frietbergh, just a stone's throw away... amazing how this place can stay in business... The staff is fine, very friendly and hospitable. But basically, you come for the food.
