De Chinese Pagode in Wijk 08 Julianadorp

I understand the average rating of 4.0 stars (mid-2025), but I believe this could unfairly deter guests. The food was absolutely fine and the service was excellent. I would eat here again without hesitation.

2022: everything was good this year too, I think you can't compare Chinese cuisine in Germany and the Netherlands, in Germany everything is a little Germanized, in the Netherlands the Chinese cuisine is more authentic! We would love to come back. 2019:Very good Chinese cuisine! We (with a dog, yes it's macabre with a dog at a Chinese restaurant) were very satisfied, everything was delicious! We'll be back!

Food has become expensive. Wasn't very fresh.

I recommend this restaurant because the food is very good and the service is very friendly.

Just ordered Cha Chiu and just got a bowl of vegetable mush and some boiled meat. I called right away to see if something had gone wrong, but according to the lady on the phone, it should be like this. I tried a bite anyway and threw the whole bowl in the trash. Too bad, but I won't buy anything from this Chinese anymore.

Very good and friendly service, a great atmosphere, and excellent food. Unfortunately, we were among the only customers, which I can't understand at all. If you're looking for something exotic, this is the place (they also serve schnitzel and fries, of course). Please show some love.

Te bizar voor woorden. Wij waren eten met onze familie en dreumes. Er is geen veilige kinderstoel aanwezig, kind glijdt er letterlijk uit doordat het middenstuk (tussen de beentjes) ontbreekt. Er is geen verschoontafel aanwezig. Ze serveren hete gerechten OVER ons kind heen die we tevens ook zelf mochten aanpakken. Net als ons drinken. Ik kreeg commentaar omdat ik over mijn kind ging hangen om haar te beschermen tegen de warme gerechten. Onze dreumes werd onrustig dus wij besloten om eerder weg te gaan. Waarop de hoofd vrouw zei: “oh jullie gaan eerder weg?!” Waarop ik zei: “ja helaas...” waarop zij weer zei: “ Ja want dat kind loopt ook alleen maar te janken!” Ik wist niet wat ik hoorde! Eens en never nooit meer.

Four of us were guests on April 15, 2025 without a reservation. It was busy but we were lucky and got a table. We received a very friendly welcome and the first drinks were served quickly. The dishes we didn't know were patiently explained to us. The food was excellent and the portions were generous. The prices seem a bit high when you compare them to Chinese restaurants in Germany. But the ambience and service are really very good. We'd love to come back!

A very nice atmosphere with a large selection of dishes. Attentive hosts and very tasty and rich food. It was definitely worth a visit.

I didn't think it was a very pleasant restaurant, the service was rushed. Tjap tjoy with shrimps was delicious. The noodles and noodles with pork were dry and not very filling.

Indisch maandmenu gehaald. Duur, kleine porties, nasi is witte rijst met bijna niks erin. Haal hier al 20 jaar maar het wordt steeds slechter. Laatste keer geweest

I used the catering service for my son's birthday yesterday. Super organized with warming dishes and a wonderfully varied menu.

Bami Goreng here means: overcooked, salty tagliatelle without taste with three strips of puree, a fried egg (!), a touch of minced meat and two thin slices of industrial ham. Not enjoyable...

Freundlich, große Portionen was aber nicht hilft, wenn man den größten Teil wegschmeißt. Gebratene Nudeln geschmacklos nur gedünstet, Hähnchen süß sauer soweit okay und Gemüse mit Hähnchen geschmacklos in einer undefinierbaren Sauce. Das geht echt viel besser, vor allem bei den Preisen.

Good restaurant in Julianadorp. It was our first time here and we didn't regret it. The portions are large, the price is reasonable, and the service is very attentive.

The Chinese Pagoda is not recommended. We had to sit outside with our dogs while others with large dogs sat inside. Only half of our food came and the waitress forgot to pass on the other half.

My roast duck consisted essentially of fried fatty skin with minimal meat. Nobody will see me here again.

Have it delivered. On time and (most importantly): delicious food. Order more often via the website, which always goes smoothly. Always delicious 👍🏻.

Drinks are generally only available in 0.2 liters. Bottles with glass provided. Food is served with a kitchen cart like in an inpatient care area. I didn't think it was that great. In a restaurant, regardless of the cuisine, I assume that the food you order will be served like it would be by professionals in higher-end restaurants. I had a tomato soup as a starter...you'd think they didn't skimp on sugar. It was too sweet for tomato soup. Afterwards we had to wait a long time for the bill to be handed over, and people often walked past our table. Can you go there? But don't expect too much. There is no buffet either.

Standard - Chinese / clean, nice, fast - duck could have been crosser. Price structure adapts to tourism...

Spring rolls dripping with fat. They still charge a plastic surcharge for the jar of peanut sauce. 2.20 for 100 ml of sauce is already expensive, but another 50 cents on top of that for a jar that may cost 8 cents...

Good Chinese cuisine. Nothing special, standard Chinese. In terms of price, something too expensive for what is offered.

Wir waren heute mit fünf Personen dort Essen. Es hat uns allen sehr gut geschmeckt und der Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Ich kann es nur empfehlen.

Wir waren heute zufällig in diesem Restaurant und nach skeptischen hin und her wurden wir eines besseren belehrt. Dieses Restaurant bietet eine authentische Atmosphäre, das Essen ist sehr gut und die Preis Leistung Verhältnisse sind sehr großzügig. Dieses Restaurant ist ein Besuch wert!

Essen war gut aber ein sehr dunkles Restaurant und kaum war man mit dem letzen Happen vom Essen fertig schwups da war auch schon wieder alles abgeräumt.

Wir holen das Essen immer nach Haus.Reicht fr 2 Tage.

Hé .. nog een echt (Hollands) Chinees restaurant die er mag wezen. Uitstraling ..Oké ( uiterlijk pand in Chinese stijl), inrichting … Oke ( warm, net genoeg Chinese tintjes met aquaria), prijslijst… Oke ( prijs kan de “Nederlandse” horeca van leren), bestelling….Oke. ( kan ik qua menu iets afwijken van de kaart? “Natuurlijk”!), bediening….Oke ( vlot, met een glimlach en oog voor eventueel extra drankjes. Ook “samen eten” klopte qua opdienen). Smaak gerechten…Oke ( goed van smaak en gaarheid ! Top!). Punten van kritiek… Oke ( tuurlijk: gebruik van metalen bakjes waar de rijst, bami, mihoen in wordt opgediend mag “ traditioneler”, saus bij loempia in een zakje….mag in een klein schaaltjes cq op het bord). Maar bovenal een echt Chinees restaurant die ik, wij, in jaren niet zo gezien hebben. Plezierige ervaring!!

Sehr freundlicher Empfang. Herzliches Eingehen auf die Kinder. Leckeres Essen. Die vier verschiedenen Gerichte haben allen gemundet. Zudem gab es noch eine besondere Empfehlung aus der Küche. Wir waren über die Jahre schon häufig in der Chinesischen Pagode zum Essen und stets zufrieden.

Nettes Personal, aber noch nie so schlecht chinesisch gegessen.

Das maandmenü gibt es zwar schon seit 2 Jahren aber lecker ist es und reicht locker für 2 Personen. Die anderen Speisen sind auch hervorragend. Komme hier hin seit ich gerade laufen kann

Unfreundlich, Hunde feindlich, Essen Mittelmaß....als Single zuerst mal an den Katzentisch gesetzt worden mit dem Hinweis der Hund unter den Tisch in die Ecke damit man ihn nicht sieht,obwohl das Lokal noch fast leer war...mein Hund ist Familienmitglied, sauber und kann sich definitiv benehmen...dann kam das Essen und da gibt es durchaus würzigeres....die süss-saure Sauce schmeckte nach nichts ...da es mir aber zu unfreundlich dort war, bin ich sehr schnell wieder gegangen....Prädikat muss man nicht hin

Fijne Chinees restaurant om te eten

Wer in Julianadorp chinesisch essen möchte, ist dies eine gute Empfehlung. Platz bekommen ohne Reservierung, Essen kam schnell.

Essen wahr sehr gut Wen mann viel Hunger hat sollte mann dort hingehen es macht sehr satt es ist auch dort nicht so teuer essen würde auch sehr schnell zu bereitet

Wir waren zum Essen im Lokal, welches schön eingerichtet ist. Ich habe das Menü mit Vorspeise Sate (2 kleine Hähnchenspieße) und zwei Hauptgänge gegessen! Als Hauptgang hatte ich Garnele und dann Fisch süß sauer. Meine Frau hatte Ente, welche ihr auch sehr gut geschmeckt hat. Auch ich war mit der Auswahl sehr zufrieden und es hatte mir alles gut geschmeckt! Der Service hatte nicht soviel Zeit, aber wir kamen schon zurecht! Wir können das Lokal weiter empfehlen!

Unpersönliche Bedienung. Essen vollkommen geschmacklos. Wie kann man nur so kochen? Auf den Hinweis an die Kellnerin kam die Antwort „es könne ja mal passieren dass es einem nicht schmeckt“ und wir hätten ja süß-saure Sauce zusätzlich bestellen können. Nie wieder !
