Friendly staff, tasty food and quickly prepared

Had a great meal yesterday. The chicken satay is a must. The roti is also very tasty. Very nice people and good service. I absolutely do not recognize the 1 star reviews.

Mwah, not my fav roti. But tastes differ? I thought it was a shame that they don't sell roti's (slabs) separately - only in a menu.

Horrible guy/owner. A while ago I was there with someone else. The owner didn't notice. He heard him say about me to another customer: "some customers are really annoying whiners"! When I asked for my money back he even said: "Please!" That is not service and customer friendliness! A bit of gossiping about other customers when you are in the toilet about yourself! Very professional too! We left immediately! Coincidentally, we walked past recently, 2 customers walked away angrily and there was shouting. When I asked about this, they indicated that they had also been treated unfriendly and rude! I have often heard from other people that this owner acts a bit "weird". So that was no coincidence! This place and guy are no good at all! He is an unfriendly antisocial person! Don't eat here! There are enough options in the area to eat where they DO provide friendly, respectful, good service. And also a lot cheaper!

Recently ate here with my girlfriend. During our visit, an employee told us to be a bit quieter — understandable if that is necessary, but I found the way this was done unprofessional. When I looked at my girlfriend in surprise because I did not immediately understand, the employee said: “Can you really look so strange?” That came across as rude and made the atmosphere very uncomfortable. Hopefully, communication will be more customer-friendly in the future.

I have worked in the catering industry as a chef for 10 years, but this was the worst Roti experience so far in Utrecht and the surrounding area, and I have had many because I love Roti. I wanted to pick up roti and take it to work, I asked Mrs. Simone how long it would take approximately before the roti chicken I had ordered would be ready. She indicated 15-20 minutes. I wanted it with egg. The egg alone cost 3 euros per person. was not included in the roti. 50 minutes further; break from work already 20 minutes passed I got the roti. so I had something to explain to a colleague when I came back. Paid 19 euros for pick-up for some sambal, three pieces of sliced ​​sweet and sour cucumber in a bag, dry and old egg, old roti plate that was not fried properly and where the corn grains already fallen, chicken dry and tasteless and potato well cooked but little taste. How is this possible? You have four employees walking around on Mondays and three ovens?! Working receipt by receipt and still being able to deliver this poor quality, unbelievable in my opinion. You can no longer call this Surinamese cuisine. And since last night immediately after the Roti I had a stomach ache and now still have intestinal complaints the next day. So I'm wondering what your HACCP plan looks like and whether you work hygienically. I will never come here again and I would not recommend anyone to order here, eat here or have it delivered at home.

So I decided to give the key back to one of the employees (I didn't see the young lady behind the counter). A little later this young lady comes to me to ask for the key back. When I told her that I had given this to her colleague, she reacted irritated. A little later my son had to go to the toilet again… luckily the door was open. A little later I saw this young lady going to the toilet and put the key in to turn it off. When I said my son was still there…she didn't believe me and started rolling her eyes. She even argued with me. I thought it was so rude!! This does not invite you to eat there again. Later I went, my husband forgot to order fries special and ordered fries with. That's why I ordered a small bowl of mayo, ketchup and curry (can hold up to 20 grams) and had to pay €3.20. I was so shocked by the amount.🫣
