Great chip shop. The fries with the beef stew were delicious, with beautifully tender beef and good flavor. Nice and crispy fries. I'd prefer them a bit thinner, but that's a matter of taste; others love thicker fries. Friendly, attentive staff behind the counter.

A really bad experience... We had the food delivered. It said "We're almost there," but we had to wait over an hour. The fries were also good, but they were only half a container. The frikandel didn't have a split back, and the sauce was just poured on. Next time, we'll pick it up from Swoofy. Too bad...

Nice and cozy chip shop on the edge of the city center. When the weather is nice and dry, sitting outside is of course wonderful. There is a huge choice and many combinations are possible. Here is also mayonnaise available, which we like more than fries sauce (also available).

We had one of the worst experiences ever here. When we came to this snack bar and ordered, we asked for large fries for my girlfriend. When I placed this order, we were advised to take normal fries. Because of this we assumed that this would be a hearty portion. So we took the advice. However, as we soon realized, this was bad advice. Because this portion might have been enough for a child. But not an adult woman. However, when we pointed this out to the employee who had helped us, they did not listen or apologize. Instead, my friend got a tap on the shoulder when the employee walked away and said "we'll make some fries". Unfortunately, this was not a good solution. Not only did we no longer have time to wait for new fries. In addition, my girlfriend suffers from a shoulder injury and every tap or touch on this shoulder hurts her enormously. Naturally, my girlfriend walked away in tears because of this. Because I found these events quite annoying and also wanted to speak to the employee about this and tell her that the way she acted was not convenient and attentive and anything but friendly because this employee was quite stressed from a business that was anything but busy. I received no understanding of the situation or a sincere apology, but a lady who, like a small child, became defensive and was not aware of any guilt. Instead of responding to me normally as I was trying to have a normal conversation, we were thrown out of the business without any understanding for their actions. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and I'm quite sad that I can't give zero stars. Then you can claim that these are the "tastiest fries" in Arnhem. But the service is of the lowest level from people you can't even talk to.

I had a bowl with spicy chicken fillet and french fries with bell pepper, onions and chili sauce and a beer for affordable 12 €, very tasty. Five stars for an excellent price-performance ratio, very friendly and humorous service in the middle of Arnhem. I will definitely come back to this place.

After 20 min of waiting we had to go to a waiter and ask to order because they were not minding us. They only came to deliver us food and then no more, very hard to get attention to get served. I went there a few times before and it is always a 50-50% chance of good service. We all have our good days and bad days, so I can get over that, but not the food. I ate a few times there before and the food itself was good, BUT my stomach ached every time after that. I eat vegan/plant-based so this time I asked them if they fry their vegan scancks with the meat and vegetarian snacks in the same pot, and they said yes. I said that is not technically vegan, because you use the same oil which you fry the meat for the vegan, so that is not vegan anymore, it is like you say it is halal but fry pork in the same pan. They argued that since the snacks have a crust, it did not matter. So I went with just fries, which were very good. But sad they do not have actually vegan stuff there. They should indicate on the menu that the vegan snacks are fried in the same pan, because some people might be allergic, or cause other health problems. Really sad about it because it was a very promissing vegan/vegetarian place. I hope they will change this in yhe future.

The food here is basically always good :) unfortunately our food was not delivered today. We received a call and tried to call back, but after around 5 calls on the same number and the number on the website we were unable to reach them (they also called from three different numbers). In principle that is not that bad and can happen. After 20 minutes we were able to reach them. Unfortunately, the employee on the phone was very angry and said that the delivery person had rang all numbers (we had forgotten the addition, so that is also our fault). There are 7 house numbers where this was possible, but the delivery person actually did not ring the doorbell. The food was delivered, but I was sad about the employee's attitude for the rest of the day. We really did our best and called back often :(

I often go on outings by train at the weekends with my NS weekend-free season ticket! I then take walking tours throughout the Netherlands! I live in Doetinchem! On the way back I always eat fries and a croquette sandwich at the Frietoloog in Arnhem! Whether it is Maastricht, Vlissingen, Amsterdam or Groningen, the Frietoloog is always the place where I eat my fries on the weekends! You can sit there comfortably, the food is tasty and the owner is very nice! When I told them that I always ate at the Frietologist on my trips, I even got a free frikandel! Very nice! I came across the Frietologist in the spring of 2023, when I waited for a thunderstorm on the way back from a train trip in Arnhem, because I like thunder! Then I thought, I would eat fries in Arnhem and happened to become the Frietologist and then I thought, I should go there more often and nowadays it is my regular spot during my train journeys! Except when I go to Germany or take a small trip, but otherwise yes! I think it is a cozy place to sit, and the food is tasty and the fries and croquette are delicious! They already know exactly what I want when I come in, I come there so often!

Very warmly received as part of an Arnhem snack tour. Made room for our nine-member group without making a reservation. A generous tasting of, among other things, the rösti-hogweed, the mozzarella-tomato soufflé and the crokidel special. The chipologist himself talks passionately about the chip shop life. 'Distinguishing yourself is important in the frying landscape' and this black belt frying master has understood that well. Also delicious fresh, extremely crispy fries. In our opinion, De Frietoloog is easily the best snack bar in Arnhem. The fries are home made and they also make a large part of the snacks themselves. Recommended are the crokidel, the hamburger Frietologist and Moons sauce. We usually order and that goes smoothly!

I went here for lunch during work, I came a few minutes before opening when the fryers were still warming up. The owner was very friendly and took my order just before the fryers were ready, I took my food to go and it was properly packaged so it stayed warm enough and it tasted great!

Ich teile meine Erfahrung nur mit Pommes. Ich habe an die Niederländische Pommes gewöhnt aber leider hier die Pommes war sehr fettig Wegen des Öls.

Die Hamburger sind vom Fleisch gut, aber der sonstige Belag ist sehr dürftig. Das trübt den Gesamteindruck. Die Pommes sind ganz lecker, aber die Frittensauce ist simple Mayo. Das Personal ist nicht freundlich und das Ambiente ist schön, aber alles ist sehr teuer.

Sehr leckeres Essen zu guten Preisen! Ich hatte das Chrispy Chicken Burger im Menü mit Pommes und Salat und einem Bier dazu. Insgesamt habe ich 15€ bezahlt und war sehr zufrieden. Die Portion ist genau richtig um satt zu werden und es war sehr lecker. Gerne wieder.

Frietoloog ist der beste Imbiss in Arnheim! Tolles Essen, mit vielen vegetarischen Optionen, mega nette Betreiber und für einen Imbiss sehr schöne Location. Jedes mal, wenn wir in Arnheim sind, ist ein Besuch beim Frietoloogen Pflicht und das seit mehreren Jahren! Viele liebe Grüße an das ganze Team!

Heute war meine Einkehr bei "De Frietoloog" ein Genuss! Die Bedienung war aufmerksam und freundlich und brachte mein Essen an den Tisch. Ich saß beim Bierchen vor dem Gebäude in herrlicher Junisonne, ruhig und gemütlich und im Straßentreiben. Das Essen war frisch, knusprig und äußerst lecker, zudem in Porzellanschälchen serviert, sehr nett. Die Preise sind angemessen und angesichts der Qualität jeden Cent wert. Bei meinem nächsten Besuch in Arnheim werde ich bestimmt wieder "De Frietoloog" aufsuchen.

Ich hatte Pommes krokette und eine Dose Cola das Essen war okay aber der Preis ist überzogen. Knapp 9,80 €ur finde ich schon habe mich dafür sind die Portionen definitiv zu klein.

Eten besteld via thuisbezorgd. Schnitzel speciaal schotel en een frietje zonder voor mijn dochtertje. Ik bestel niet vaak maar ik heb er nooit spijt van.
