Yesterday I took a sugar bread home. I'm from Drenthe myself, but for a sugar bread you have to go to this bakery. Nice and moist and not such a dry sugar bread from the supermarket. Just super tasty!

Cookies; sweet dear, bacon biscuit/sukade and butter cake, apparently you have to love them. It will taste good old fashioned, and it certainly tastes old and nowadays it tastes much better elsewhere.

As a tourist you will not be helped, they prefer to help the locals. A woman waited 5 minutes for her turn, then they helped someone who just came in. No apology was made when a comment was made about this. Tourists are better off going to another bakery.

Bad service, let's say no service. Yesterday, an employee completely ignored me, even after speaking to me (I was quietly waiting for my turn, a customer was called in from outside and helped???) It doesn't happen to me often, but this really seemed like #discrimination by that one employee. Don't be invisible!!! Very unpleasant experience, no more De Haan's Bakery for us

Small bakery that specializes in delicious bread and pastries. The orange cake is famous. We love their pleverkoeken. All delicious and yet affordable. Friendly and helpful. And the bakery itself is a gem to see. If you say Sneek, you say Bakery de Haan!

Bought the vanilla sticks with great anticipation. Specialty of this bakery. Unfortunately: although it looked nice, they were either old or it really consists of dry cake cut into triangles with icing. We ate 2 and fed 3 to the ducks.
