Came in for a (Amstel)beer 🍻. Live music and a good vibe in this grand cafe.

Cozy place with live music. We had a great evening here.

The ambience is nice but I didnt like my drink. Also they gave the bites so late. We were almost finished with the drink.

Nice for when you're really drunk

The bouncer is rude and awful to interact with. It's really sad I have to say this, because I used to come there often. It really ruins the experience for everybody, as they seem to specifically target expats. Thanks guys, would not come again here ever!

A very friendly dance bar with a great atmosphere: Dutch and international music. The atmosphere is lively even quite early in the evening. Low prices for students.

I've been here at least 5 times. Everything was fine. I paid 10.50 Euros for a 4 Euro Pepsi. I bought another one upstairs and paid 4 Euros! It would be helpful if you warned the downstairs bar.

july11-12 2025, I was denied entry to your club by two security guards, without any clear reason. I was told at first “you can’t come in,” and then later was accused of holding a drink, which is untrue — I had no drink in my hand and was simply approaching the entrance. When I asked for a reason, your staff refused to provide one and responded with dismissive and unprofessional behavior telling me I had to be a WHITE STUDENT to enter lol funny enough i was a student 😂😂. One of your guards also touched my hand when I raised my phone to record the exchange, which I found inappropriate and invasive. I expect this to be investigated seriously, guards FIRED, and to be informed of the actions taken regarding your staff's conduct!! This experience felt discriminatory, illegal and humiliating. I have video evidence and will be filing a complaint with the Meldpunt Discriminatie Regio Amsterdam (MDRA) and Discriminatie.nl if I do not receive a response.

I had a lot of fun here. It is one of the best bars for students with student friendly prices and upbeat atmosphere.

The music ambience was like a friendly tapestry in the background, like a hand of a loved one on your deathbed. Such an invigorating experience, even exhilarating. In my pondering reflections, it uplifted me and revealed new horizons of my thoughts. Can’t say whether that was the tequilla im about to recieve or not. But slay.

Arie is the nicest bartender of all time

The server forced us to leave our seats and convert the floor to dance floor. I saw him literally push away people sitting on stools and asking them to just stand after 11pm. When we asked him if we could keep one stool since one of us has back issues and would like to sit once in a while, he just replied that the place ‘might’ get busy later. We were in utter shock and left after this encounter. Would have loved to stay there for a while.

I did nothing, just wanted to order, but the guy in the bar made me 5 drinks what I didn’t even asked, and said I had to pay for it or the security will take me out. I had to pay for it if I didn’t wanted to get beat up. Congrats guys. Very good policy.
