Nice restaurant in the easily accessible center of Zaltbommel. Very friendly and attentive staff. Small but good menu. The food was delicious, we had a lovely evening. We will definitely be back!

Had a delicious meal, hamburger with fries. The hamburger was good, the amount of sauce was perfect; it didn't drip out, but you could still taste it. The fries had an undertone of cleaning fluid, but I was lucky that the frying oil had just been replaced. The atmosphere was cozy. I was here alone, and normally I don't do that, but I didn't feel out of place.

We went to the brasserie for dinner, but it turned out that only a small menu was served, which essentially means a choice of 2 starters and 1 main course. We hadn't noticed this beforehand, and it wasn't mentioned in the reservation confirmation either. As a result, we had different expectations. The starter was tasty, but the main course (ribeye) was somewhat disappointing. In particular, more attention should be paid to the side dishes. As it was, it was a piece of meat with fries and a small bowl of coleslaw. When we asked for vegetables, they were served, but they were substandard. The taste was not good and the vegetables looked unappealing; the flavor wasn't okay either. (1 carrot, 1 baby corn, 1 piece of bell pepper, and 1 piece of zucchini). Dessert and coffee, on the other hand, were fine. Friendly and efficient service. So, do pay attention to the menu when making a reservation. We would love to come back and try it again, and next time à la carte. ;-)

A very atmospheric restaurant. The staff are super friendly. The spareribs and hamburgers are delicious and more than enough.

We dined here as a couple on Saturday night. The food was generally good. The side dishes could use a bit more attention. I had a tournedos, which was perfectly prepared. The whole carrot and the potato cake were delicious. Unfortunately, the salad that came with it was rather bland. The fries were standard frozen fries, which were cooked well, but lacked flavor. It would really improve the whole dish if it were served with fresh fries made from good potatoes. Also, check the mayo; there are much better ones available than the one you're serving now. And then immediately throw away the paper container that's currently in the bowl. Just put the mayo straight into a bowl. The container needs to be washed anyway, and now half of it is left in that dirty, wet paper container. We were seated in the back room, which was way too noisy. We'd heard this from friends who didn't come here because of it. How bad could it be, I thought... With a lot of effort and repeating sentences, we managed to hear each other, and I still had a ringing in my ears the next morning. By 2026, this will no longer be necessary. Even high spaces like this can be acoustically sound.

A lovely restaurant with an atmospheric decor. Beautiful copper beer glasses above the bar and several beers on tap, including La Trappe Quadrupel. A friendly welcome, and the service is attentive and cheerful. A platter of pata negra, a delicious tender ham, was the starter! The sparring was the main course. Nice and hearty with a good amount of meat. It was delicious; we felt it could have been cooked a little less and grilled more, but it was good enough as is. Otherwise, it deserves 5 stars.

The goulash soup on the winter menu was very watery. Several people ordered it, and we were all very dissatisfied. Otherwise, it's a nice place with good service and a great atmosphere.

The food was excellent! Excellent value for money, with generous Brabant-style portions. The winter menu was a huge hit, but the sliced ​​pancetta starter, the surprisingly spicy shrimp cocktail, the generous portion of spare ribs, and the delicious tartufo limoncello were also a huge success. Coffee and macarons followed, and the icing on the cake was homemade limoncello. We went home more than satisfied and with a full belly.

We thoroughly enjoyed a delicious lunch at De Heeren van Zaltbommel. It's always a good and cozy place! On this rainy day, it was lovely and warm inside, and as always, the atmosphere was great. Fresh flowers on the table, a fun and delicious lunch menu, and, as always, friendly service. Today we opted for lunch with a delicious Chardonnay, and you can also enjoy a delicious dinner here. There's also a beautiful new space behind the restaurant that's perfect for groups. This restaurant often offers great deals. Think of unlimited spare ribs, carpaccio, and more on Wednesdays. We've heard about dishes planned for the near future inspired by ski holidays (including a delicious schnitzel à la De Heeren), and also coming soon... dishes based on Carnival. ALAAFF! There's always something new happening at this restaurant. So delicious and fun! Experience and enjoy!

The food was delicious, the service and atmosphere were excellent and friendly. We were given a tip for a "ham platter with some olives," but then charged €14.50 and €4.50 for that was shocking. Also, charging €7.25 for a bottle of still water... now we're broke 🤪

Had lunch here with my wife in a nice restaurant. The service was excellent. And a steak sandwich is highly recommended. A nice rustic slice of bread with a crispy crust, and the steak pieces were cooked perfectly.

We ate here yesterday with 7 people. It had been a warm day and the heat was still inside. We ordered plenty of drinks including wine and I asked if tap water could be served. Unfortunately, they don't serve that. Spa blue was allowed. While tap water is very good in the Netherlands, are you going to offer bottled water? I thought those days were over. And I still understand that you don't serve tap water if people don't order anything else, and you can even ask a small fee for the service, but not offering tap water is simply not sustainable. I had ordered sea bream and it was disappointing, because I got the same vegetables, salsa and potato with it as others with e.g. the spare ribs. Much too strong flavours for a fish. Too bad about the 28.50 euros; not cheap or anything. The atmosphere inside was fine, the staff friendly and the acoustics not good (too much reverberation; the other side of the round table was difficult to understand). The homemade limoncello was very tasty. Still, I won't be coming back here anytime soon.

The food is delicious time and time again: refined, tasteful and beautifully presented. The menu changes regularly, which makes it extra attractive to come back more often. The wine list is also well-coordinated, always a suitable wine for your dish. The lovely terrace and relaxed atmosphere make it complete. We regularly sit here, often with a different group and every time it is good.

Terrible tent. The spareribs were dry and too salty and the curd was more like buttermilk. And to top it all off... the host. A portly man who acts nice, but is mainly busy with himself. Very irritating. Too bad for our money, this was never the case again.

Had two generally pleasant experiences. Beautiful place, attractive and modern. Most staff members are hospitable and service-oriented and do their best to make you happy, but unfortunately we also had a lesser experience where we were made to feel unwelcome.

Ok place, a bit pricey for what you get. Steak was so so.

We have now eaten here 3 times, especially the sole. Something that is not available in many places (or sole) but here it is real sole, wonderfully prepared, I'm a huge fan of it. I really plan to try the rest of the menu in the future, but so far the sole was too tempting every time 🤣 friendly staff. Atmosphere is great, nice place. My mother is currently in a wheelchair, which is no problem.

Het eten was prima, maar jammer van de friet, deze was droog Het was van die dikke friet half in de schil. Niet lekker Ik hou van goud gele knapperige liefs dunne frietjes!

Prima gegeten vanavond met ons gezin. De eerste keer in dit restaurant. De kaart biedt voor elk wat wils, de chateaubriand was een topper. Heerlijk mals vlees, goed gekruid, waarbij de stroganoff saus aan de tafel werd bereid. Restaurant is modern ingericht. Opvallend is dat het ruim opgezet is, niet teveel tafeltjes in de ruimte gepropt. Bediening was heel attent. Kortom een prima avond en we komen zeker nog eens terug.

Vanavond zo gezellig en heerlijk gegeten in Zaltbommel. Buitengewoon attente medewerkers - heerlijk gegeten. Leuke ambiance ook. Een plek waar we nog graag terug zullen komen. Het was fijn om daar in alle rust samen te eten. Ik zou het iedereen aanbevelen daar eens langs te gaan. De ‘moeite’ waard.

Ended up here for a late lunch today in a spontaneous moment. The restaurant looks really beautiful from the inside. We were truly received very warmly. Pleasant spontaneous chats and it is clear that a bunch of passionate people are working here. Even the background music is original and fun! Quality is really number 1 here. The “roasted ribeye club sandwich” was really fantastic! Nice coffee, good fresh orange juice. We will definitely come back to experience dinner as well.

Because we had an outing in Maasbommel, we thought it would be nice to have dinner with the four of us in a restaurant to conclude. Selected this restaurant through photos and reviews from Google Maps. When we arrived, the restaurant terrace was empty while 2 restaurants further down the street were full. This made us hesitate, but we had already made a reservation so we just went in. We thought it might be because it is a bit more chic, or in retrospect because it is still a fairly new restaurant, because there is nothing wrong with the restaurant itself. The carpaccio had a good taste. The quiche was also tasty. It is served with delicious crispy fries. The sparerib was a bit on the fatty side, but the taste was good. In the end we didn't have dessert because we were quite full, but also because there wasn't really anything on the menu that stood out. We got a Limoncello on the house before we left! The staff is very neat. When we left (I think the owner) had a chat. We liked that. It's a shame he hadn't done that before, I always like that during dinner, that it becomes a bit more personal. All in all a great restaurant. If I have to mention a downside it is that there are large TVs on the wall. It looks like a nice photo, but I don't think it belongs in a fancy restaurant. It's distracting. Legend: 1) Terrible! I don't recommend it, I will never come back! 2) Too bad, below my expectations, I won't come again. 3) Ok, nothing wrong with that, but nothing special, nice for once. 4) Fine, worth coming back. 5) Excellent! Ik ben zelf gek van een goede kroket, dus heb daar ook voor gekozen op een heerlijke boterham. Als kroketten kenner ben ik zeer tevreden! Was aangenaam verrast. De keuze van mijn goede vriendin voor de toast met avocado gaf me toch enigszins een beetje spijt voor mijn keuze. Wat zag die erg geweldig lekker uit! De ambiance was ook top! Mooi meubilair en gezelligheid. Deze onthouden we zeker voor een herhaling! We hebben zitten smullen. De rosé was ook erg lekker. En personeel gezellig vriendelijk.

Nice restaurant with friendly service. Due to sensitivity to stimuli, we were given a quiet table upon request and the music box was turned off. It was well thought out. Spareribs were prepared wonderfully tender and lacquered with a delicious marinade. You'll lick your fingers off it! The generously filled sandwiches were also tasty. Recommended!
