De Heksenboom in Wijk 00 Sint Anthonis

The coffee was good, but the service was downright terrible. When you walk in and sit down at a table, no one even notices you're there. Staff constantly walks by, but no one takes orders. You really have to approach the staff and ask if you can order. If you don't, you'll be stuck waiting the rest of the day. When we ordered, we were told there were no pastries left, even though they were still being served for at least fifteen minutes after we'd ordered. And when our order was ready to be served on the bar (as we could see from our table), the staff walked back and forth past our order for over five minutes before realizing it and bringing it to us. I think the customer service here is poor. But then again, that's understandable. It's not necessary if people are coming anyway, since there's nowhere else to stop for a drink in the surrounding area.

The dinner was good, but we weren't satisfied with the service. We were shoved into a corner, even though many tables were empty. We weren't asked if we wanted anything else to drink; we had to ask for it ourselves. We also found it completely unacceptable to remove the candle from the table. The customer is king, and we didn't get that feeling. It's a real shame for us; we had brought guests, and the evening didn't go as we would have liked.

Cozy restaurant with festive Christmas decorations. The service was excellent and patient with our busy group. We had coffee and a delicious (large piece of) real rice pudding before the walk, and a delicious dinner afterward. Highly recommended!

The apple pie was ice cold, and there was no sauce with the sausage roll. It was also quite cold inside. The service was very fast, though.

We had dinner reservations. We received a friendly welcome in a nice restaurant. Unfortunately, there was hardly anyone else there, and the atmosphere wasn't pleasant. Food and drinks were served quickly. The starter was delicious, but the main course wasn't so great. The meat had a strange flavor and didn't smell good, and the accompanying vegetables were unfortunately not suitable. We had to pay 95 euros, which we felt was a lot for what we got.

A nice, cozy place with a children's play corner. The ideal place to have a drink or a bite to eat before or after a forest walk or bike ride.

We only had a drink here and a piece of pie, which was delicious! But I personally find €0.95 for whipped cream with hot chocolate rather expensive! We ended up here after a long walk, and I think it's a great place! Friendly service!

After a lovely 3.5-hour walk, it was wonderful to relax here with a glass of ginger tea with honey and a delicious piece of pie and chocolate ball. Fast service. Excellent!

The staff was friendly, but the food was hit or miss. The main course came with very few fries. The play area wasn't very clean, and the toys were old.

We went three days in a row. The first day we had to wait a long time for the menu and food. The second day was no problem; they arrived quite quickly, even though it was much busier. We had a delicious salad.

Great food, very nice, quiet place! Unfortunately, when it's busier, you have to be a bit more patient for your drink. We ordered a drink when our lunch came, but by the time we'd finished our plates, our order hadn't arrived. When I tried to inquire, I was told, not so subtly, that it was busy and therefore taking longer... I think this could have been done more politely. An apology was out of the question.

We ordered a 12-hour vegetarian meal because we don't eat meat. And then, of course, you get mustard soup WITH bacon. Ugh, how hard can it be, a 12-hour meal? Well: an egg and salad sandwich, meh, a cheese sandwich, okay, but those are covered in the acid of the garnish. Well...and then a separate croquette. But with butter. Okay... In short: there's quite a bit of room for improvement here.

Were j.l. Saturday with 10 adults and 8 children from 11 to 1 year old at De Heksenboom to have dinner for a 70 year old. We, the adults and all the children, enjoyed the delicious food, the service and the beautiful location. Was super cared for by good and enthusiastic people. Everyone could eat a la carte and believe it or not, nothing went wrong once. Hats off to this restaurant, will definitely come back here. Simply TOP

After a long walk, you can refuel in the cozy restaurant. Ordered lunch after 2 tasty special beers. Nice menu and a tasty portion of food. Service was friendly

Unfortunately there was some kind of party with someone blaring into a microphone. That was less pleasant. The food is excellent and so is the service.

When I report a review, it is either very good or very bad. It really is a great location, but the service speed is terrible. We wanted to eat and drink outside with 6 people. After a long wait I went inside and tried to order. They arrived shortly to take the order, they report. After fifteen minutes we went to the center of St.Anthonis. Conclusion again. Top location, but poor service. If possible If there is a shortage of staff, you can deal with it much better in a good way. (You can also pick up drinks yourself inside) I've been here before, but it always lacks speed. While the food was tasty. You won't be able to keep it up for long like this. get better soon.

Great food in a good atmosphere and great service.

We had to wait 20 minutes before we were helped onto the terrace. A waitress thought chatting with what I think were friends was more important than paying attention to the terrace. A male colleague was also very interested in the feminine beauty on the same table. In the end we had to call someone in to help us. We then had to wait at least 30 minutes for 4 sandwiches, three of which were the same. These weren't very tasty either. Actually it was a bit tasteless. The carpaccio was almost. Not visible because of all the mess that was covering it. Lots of seeds and kernels and lots of cheese. You couldn't taste the truffle mayonnaise and you certainly couldn't taste the carpaccio. Most of the flavor was in the cherry tomatoes that came with it as a garnish. Don't think I'll come back here again. I also thought it was quite pricey. Location, on the other hand, is beautiful.

What a ball tent. We arrive to a long bike ride. The terrace is full. We sit inside, all tables are reserved, but only 1 table is occupied. We sit down and want to order something. They don't want to give us anything, only if you sit outside or have made a reservation. While all tables were free. Not hospitable. We will never come here again.

Hello, Thursday 22-8-2024, a reservation was made for a lunch with three people, It took a very long time for it to arrive at the table, even though it was not very busy. After asking twice why that was not a satisfactory answer! Then after eight minutes I still received it, but the quality was disappointing. Croquettes not warm enough, and neither was the bouncer. We won't come again!

This is a busy place with a beautiful terrace. Keep in mind that tables are reserved from a certain time.... if you are lucky you will still find a table available for a drink after a nice bike ride. Staff business friendly. Major downside: there are no prices on the drinks menu!! Inappropriate and customer unfriendly! The patio chairs do not have cushions. Toilets on the left of the store, only automatic hand dryers.

If I bother to write a review about a restaurant, it usually doesn't mean anything good. The same here. Almost surreal experience. Senior employee would rather be lazy than tired, service is friendly but slow. A 15 minute wait for a drink is standard. 14 euros for one skewer (three pieces) of mediocre quality pork tenderloin and a little Wijko satay sauce is really not okay. Another weird thing. Tables are reserved until 12:45 p.m., but at 2:15 p.m. it's still empty. Meanwhile, it is cheerfully announced that they no longer have a place. It is clear that this was once but never again. What a mockery.

We had a very nice visit to the Witches Tree. Friendly staff and a nice playground for the kids. The food was delicious and everything was to your liking.

If baking a croquette is difficult.... Twice (after I said something) I received a fried (half empty) croquette as hard as a rock and cold. And then serve the bill... Really very bad, especially after waiting so long.

The food was tasty but far too little for the price, you only get 1 chicken satay skewer and some fries. At McDonalds you get even more value for your money. We also indicated this, but we almost became laughed at. It was very noisy inside even though the tent was not yet full.

After returning from the gnome route we wanted to sit on the terrace for a drink. When we arrived there was already a "FULL" sign. We were told that everything was full at 11am. While there were still tables available. We were still able to take a seat at a table until the time of reservation. You could tell that the apple pie we received came from the refrigerator, it was not fresh. When we got the drink and apple pie, we also ordered a chocolate ball. This was only delivered after 20 minutes, the moment we wanted to go. We understand that it is busy, but I think something like this can be delivered quickly. The children had fun playing in the sand and play equipment.

We had made a reservation and were shown to the table. Unfortunately the chairs were still wet from the rain, when we said something about it we were allowed to choose another spot. Unfortunately all the seats were wet, no staff to be seen...all in all it took 5 minutes before we had a dry seat. I always thought the food was fine before, but unfortunately not a lot of greasy sauces on it. Normally I don't write a review, but if they also put up a sign for the next reservation an hour and a half before the next reservation, it just gives too much of a non-hospitable feeling. I will definitely go back because I have had better experiences but unfortunately not happy today!

Thursday 1-8 2024 had a drink outside on the terrace. Didn't want to eat there unfortunately I didn't make a reservation. 2 people impossible to eat there due to staff shortages. Shame . There are no prices listed on the menu, I don't think that is possible, 2 coffees, two apple pies 15 euros and then some. It's nice if you know this in advance. Or am I saying something strange now. Nice location friendly person.

We have been here a number of times and the service is as variable as the weather. The first time it was busy and it took a long time for the order (which was only drinks) to be taken and then it took a long time before the drinks arrived. Gave the benefit of the doubt and sat down on the terrace the second time, when it was not busy we were served well, tasty sausage rolls by the way and a nice chat with waiter senior, in contrast to the previous experience. This afternoon we sat down on the terrace, almost all tables were reserved, with the exception of 2, and we sat down at 1 of the 2 tables. Senior waiter did not make contact and in the end was able to order something with difficulty. After fifteen minutes a sign was placed on our table with reservations without explanation or question, we thought that was special, again a lot of effort to order something, no attention was paid to us, eventually we got in touch and wanted to order something when they gave us senior waiter indicated that the table was actually reserved, in other words bucking up. I explained to waiter senior that this was not the case when we sat down and why not discuss with us whether we wanted to eat something or just drink, senior indicated that an online reservation had been received and that is why he took action, but we still had to did not necessarily leave immediately and apologize. We did not want to stay longer because we felt far from welcome and would rather spend our money elsewhere, we will not come here again. A tip for the owner, make sure your service runs smoothly so that the customer feels seen and served. Waiter senior be customer-friendly and professional even if you are having an unpleasant day or mood, because that is not how you treat people and ensure that the online bookings are up to date

Yesterday a hot bath today 24/5 no attention at all for the guests. Too bad for such a beautiful location. Everything often depends on the staff, as it turns out today. We discussed this with the staff before we left and they were really willing to listen and the problem was resolved very neatly. This means that we will definitely come back here. Compliments. Went back today 25 - 5 for lunch and will definitely update our review now, it was great. Same service from yesterday but we did so much with our conversation yesterday, this made us so happy. And we also shared that with them.

Sometimes you come to a place and everything is just right! The food is delicious, the portions are good. The menu offers plenty of choice, even for the little ones. They are having a great time in the playground anyway. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. And then the atmosphere, we sat on the lovely terrace, but it also looks great inside. In short, great.

We like to come and have lunch here regularly. With our 3.5 year old daughter we can sit here, enjoy food, drink and enjoy ourselves. In the meantime, my daughter is having fun in the nice adjacent playground when the weather is nice, or in the playroom specially designed for children when the weather is less nice. A cozy atmosphere, warm fireplace, beautiful sunny terrace and delicious extensive menu. The service is friendly and the food is delicious! Reservations are recommended if you don't want to wait for a free table.

A nice place to have a drink and something to eat after a walk. What we noticed is that there were only 1 or 2 employees walking on the terrace and they were not very attentive to taking orders. My friend then walked in to order. We thought that was a bit of a missed opportunity, but otherwise we had a good time.

Very nice restaurant! You can sit near the forest and enjoy a delicious meal. You can enjoy riding through the nature reserve by bike. The food was delicious, especially the soup, and the restaurant is wonderfully cozy on the inside. I can't say anything other than "fantastic"

I was here for the first time, you can't please everyone, but I ordered dessert "Parfait" because I like amarena - cherries, I got 3 scoops of curd, Parfait, whipped cream, but no amarena cherries, so when the service I asked, I miss amarena cherries, and the answer came, there is amarena cherry flavor, where I couldn't taste the amarena anywhere. Moreover, no price can be seen on the drinks menu. Ok no apologies for misleading dessert.

Leuk ingericht, leuk voor kinderen. Vooral zalmtartaar enorm lekker. Surf en turf was opzich goed, alleen de garnalen waren koud en taai.

Absoluut mooie ligging qua locatie. Verder helaas wat minder tevreden. Een pilsje in een glas waarvan de rand kapot was. Daarnaast trok ik iets van mijn kleren kapot aan een scherpe rand vd stoelleuning. Toen ik aangaf dat die leuning kapot was (andere stoelen niet) was alleen het antwoord 'ik zal het doorgeven aan de manager'. Jammer dat er niets tegenover stond in coulance. En er staan geen prijzen op de drankkaart. Je weet dus niet de prijs qua drankje. Kom ik een andere keer weer eens daar heb ik nog een kadobon uit 2021 die ik op wil maken. Geen einddatum hierop aangegeven en waarde van 15 euro. Geven ze aan dat die niet meer geldig is. Zou bon zijn uit coronatijd....waar dat staat mag Joost weten en de bon kostte evengoed 15 euro. Mooie ligging maar ik wandel volgende keer voortaan voorbij.

Was er om mijn verjaardag te vieren. Lekker gegeten met mijn kinderen en kleinkinderen En dat was geslaagd, voor iedereen wat wils van poffertjes tot staek! Ook lekker buiten kunnen zitten toppie. 👍

Diverse tafels in de schaduw zijn gereserveerd, maar er komt niemand opdagen. Wij moesten in de felle zon zitten. Dus na 1 kop koffie maar weer vertrokken...

Goeie cappuccino en heerlijke worstenbroodjes

Eerste keer gelunched en dat was echt heel lekker en prima. Zou op basis daarvan 4 sterren gegeven hebben. Vandaag diner geprobeerd maar geholpen door een senior ober die geen idee heeft hoe er behulpzaam geholpen moet worden. Patatjes kwamen veels te laat en na 3x vragen, maar we hadden ons vlees inmiddels op. Echter kon er geen excuses vanaf. Daarna zitten wachten om het dessert te kunnen bestellen, maar er komt gewoon niemand langs. Pas na heel lang wachten kwam hij weer eens vragen of we misschien wat willen. Ik had graag een betere review geschreven, maar kon er niks meer van maken. Dus voor lunch een aanrader, maar voor diner niet.
