Enjoyed a delicious high tea again. If you eat gluten-free, this restaurant is highly recommended. Delicious dishes, really perfect. And also varied snacks each time you come. The marshmallows and hot chocolate mmmm delicious. And the atmosphere is also very pleasant. A big 10 for me

It is very nice and creative of Lil that she has managed to transform the old bakery in such a way. From a party to a nice chat while enjoying a snack and a drink, it is a pleasant stay here. Attentive staff and a fantastic atmosphere!

Delicious bunchebollen. But the plate on which these are served is too cold - it is not nice straight from the refrigerator. The atmosphere is pleasant and the service is very friendly and simply good.

Just finished 2 delicious slices of fried brie! Wow, it was so delicious! If you like brie, this is definitely recommended☺️ And the atmosphere is very nice, a cozy place to eat or drink and the menu is very diverse. I posted a photo of the sandwich I ordered with my review, and while I was eating I thought I'd take a photo of it in case anyone is interested. I tried as best as I could to take a decent photo of it, and there is still a nice bowl of salad that was already gone 🤭

Nice cozy atmosphere, deliciously prepared dishes and drinks, very well served by excellent staff and a wonderful, sweet and friendly hostess. Hope to come there often.

Very friendly staff, I felt very welcome. For lunch I had a brown sandwich of boneless spare ribs with garlic sauce. Wow, that was really wonderful. My husband also enjoyed his brown melted tuna sandwiches, highly recommended. We will definitely come here again the next time we are in Mijdrecht.

Had a whole baby shower yesterday! The staff is very friendly and helpful, highly recommended! The High Tea was well prepared and there were plenty of snacks.

Nice atmospheric restaurant. Friendly and smooth service. Food delicious and more than enough. Not cheap but good value for money. A wide choice in the menu. We had received a gift voucher for the canteen. Nice to eat somewhere different. Somewhere you're not familiar with. We hardly ever come to Mijdrecht, but we will definitely come back for the canteen. Highly recommended!

It will not be due to the staff and the cozy location. Disappointingly, the lunch dishes were not surprising and quite standard. And there is little on the menu for the vegan visitor, not something like that in these parts. But good luck!

Fantastic location to eat and drink. Very attractive and very nicely decorated. So many different choices of how and where you want to sit. High, low, relax on the couch, in the conservatory, in the middle section, in the tea room or at the bar. There are plenty of options. The staff is friendly, well-groomed, well-dressed and do their best to make people feel comfortable. The owner, Lillian, tries to meet everyone's wishes. The menu is very extensive with many options from High Tea, High Wine, High beer, Tappas, snacks or just a coffee with many types of pastries and of course the fantastic Bosche bol. We have been coming there for quite some time and keep coming back because there is such a great atmosphere. The menu is changed every so often with other tasty things. The sandwich of the week has never disappointed and it is always exciting to see what it will be next week!

Had lunch here for the first time with my family yesterday. What a delicious meal. Croquette sandwich and teriyaki chicken. Very tasty, large quantity and delicious. Nice and fast service. Very attractive location. It's a shame indeed, as I read before that they are not open in the evenings. But open in the evening or not. We will definitely come back.

We went to De Kantine for lunch today. First of all I was struck by the warm and cozy atmosphere, and luckily it didn't stop there. We were quickly escorted to a table. We immediately received our menus, and not much later we were able to order. Waiting time for our orders was short, and what we got was very tasty and all fresh. Moreover, the statement; "Service with a smile!" is tailor-made for them. In short; De Kantine is truly an asset to Mijdrecht! I'd love to come back.

Smooth and nice staff, delicious lunch (only combination hard bun & hamburger is less successful than soft bun). Finally, we enjoyed the one and only Bossche bol! The only downside was that we had a place where it was quite chilly (next to the beautiful chocolate shop). We couldn't move because all the tables were occupied.

Update: still great. Top service. Best croquettes 🙌 Super nice people, the owner, the interior and very cozy & tastefully decorated. Come here often and every time it's great, with a good beer list! Best spot in Mijdrecht 💪

Delicious food, service was excellent. There is a nice atmosphere, but there is a lot of through traffic to the chocolate shop, so that is less. We sat close to the door, so having a cold breeze against your legs every time is not nice. Therefore 4 stars.

wat we dachten een klein restaurantje te zijn, bleek een prachtig groot restaurant met een gezellig terras langs het gebouw in een doorgaande steeg. Enorm lekker, erg vriendelijk personeel, gezellig inrichting, .... Het personeel is niet alleen vriendelijk, maar heeft ook interesse in hun clienteel. Wij waren overduidelijk toeristen, maar komen best vaak in Mijdrecht maar waren hier nog niet geweest. Enkele weken na ons 1ste bezoek herkende de ober ons nog, tijd voor een kort praatje. Dit is onze vaste stek geworden elke keer we in de buurt zijn, of we rijden eventjes om voor een Nacho pulled pork, een duveltje, een theetje … Elke week een heerlijke soep en een broodje van de week.

Gezellig, net en goede sfeer...!! Aanrader !!

Heerlijke lunch in een hele leuke locatie. Beetje verstopt in een zijstraatje. Alleen een bord dat naar chocolade verwijst is echt heel onduidelijk.

Het is een super gezellige tent om lekker te eten of en kopje koffie te drinken. Ze hebben een leuk en gezellig overdekt terrasje. Binnen hebben ze tafels waar je aan kan zitten en ook banken om echt te relaxen. Er hangen foto's wat het weer heel knus en persoonlijk maakt. Het personeel is echt super vriendelijk. Komt af en toe even kijken of alles naar wens is en of het gesmaakt heeft. Als je verder loop hebben ze ook een winkeltje waar je bonbons kan kopen die zijn ook heerlijk! Als je ooit in mijdrecht bent is het het echt zeker waard om even binnen te lopen voor een kopje koffie

We waren gasten. De eerste keer in de Kantine. Wat er verder te bestellen is? Geen idee! We waren op een receptie van een 60 jarige bruiloft.

Een high tea met tapas gehad. Eten was zeer goed, meer dan voldoende en zeer vriendelijke bediening. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Altijd leuk om een drankje te doen bij lieve Lilian! Een geweldige gastvrouw met een warm hart!

Al diverse keren geluncht, heerlijk gegeten, altijd vriendelijk en snel bediend. Daarnaast een fijne plek om te vertoeven.

Het bier was enorm lekker vloog zo me keel in. Borrelhapjes waren ook zalig. En personeel mocht er ook wel wezen 😉

Laatst geluncht met een vriend van me, super aardig personeel en mega lekker gegeten. Kom graag snel weer wat eten!

Heerlijke sfeer, heerlijk eten en super vriendelijk personeel; ze houden je tafel goed in de gaten (en vragen op de juiste momenten of je nog iets wilt drinken o.i.d.) en kennen de kaart door en door. Een super fijne ervaring, komen hier zeker terug om te lunchen.

Als ik weer terug kom naar het dorp is dit de plek waar ik ga lunchen. Je zit op het terras heerlijk in de zon! Muziekje op de achtergrond en hele vriendelijke bediening. Heerlijke carpaccio wrap op!

Altijd gezellig hier, super fijne en relaxte sfeer. Eten is ook top! Echt een unieke plek in het dorp en omstreken, wat mij betreft het leukste plekje!

Wat een leuke HighWine hebben we hier gehad vandaag! Ontzettend lief personeel, lekkere wijnen en hapjes erbij!

Heerlijk gezeten en hele vriendelijke mensen. Ik kwam op het laatste moment (voor sluitingstijd) en drankje doen en ze leggen netjes de kussens buiten en nemen de tijd. Dit is een goed voorbeeld van klantvriendelijkheid.

Het is heerlijk eten en er gaat rust vanuit het personeel.

Voor de lunch is dit een prima adres, maar als je in het weekend niet wil koken, is dit een goede optie voor een maaltijd.

Geweldig hightea gehad, goede bedieningen. Leuke plek om te zijn. Het eten was voortreffelijk

Wat een lief personeel! Het eten is ook heerlijk, en wat een straf dat we een hoop paaseitjes bij de koffie kregen. Uit eigen winkel! Zeker een aanrader!

Vanmiddag genoten van een super heerlijke higt tea samen met m,n vriendin. Wat een heerlijkheid allemaal!!!!!
