I get a roti roll here every week and it is always the culinary highlight of the week.

Smakeloos, vies en nog altijd dat kapotte raam. Ik heb tien minuten moeten wachten om te kunnen afrekenen,ze stonden met twee een vies papiertje te bekijken, vier keer opnieuw kassa intikken..voor och arme 2 lempers, twee kippenbouten, aardappelen en pikante kip. Vies hok en smakeloos eten. Thuis heb ik moeten kruiden toevoegen ..😂

I ordered food here and asked if it could be ready at a specific time. I arrived a bit early, so I still had to pack my things. After a short wait, everything was neatly and warmly packed and ready exactly at the requested time. I ordered several things and enjoyed them all. What delicious dishes! The only downside would have to be that you can't sit down.

We spontaneously decided to get our takeout dinner here. Quick and easy. Delicious dishes: nasi goreng, bami, semoor, eggplant, long beans, and lamb meatballs. All delicious.

Er was een uiterst vriendelijke jonge dame ( Engels) wie ik besloot te vragen waarom ze geen goed Nederlands sprak. Ze beantwoorde al m'n vragen over haar achtergrond en we praatten over milieu en diverse actuele zaken en onze gemeenschappelijke achtergrond ( Indische) Dat geeft een goed gevoel en ik besloot de nasi camper te nemen met Rendang en sayor. Wat een heerlijk pittig rundvleesgerecht is in kokossaus. Gegarneerd met Timpeh en ei. Nog wat na te praten over ditjes en datjes kreeg ik meteen een goed gevoel over de toko in t algemeen. Een aanrader is zeker de vriendelijkheid en huiselijk sfeer naast de heerlijke traditionele Indische gerechten... Kom thuis ( ervaar) Indisch eten en gastvrijheid) bij de Klapperboom. ..

I've never had a takeaway from here so cannot comment about that, but we have hired the Klappenboom to provide catering for large events at work and the service and quality of the food in my opinion has been fantastic.

Second time I picked up takeaway here, diarrhea twice! The food is tasteless, even though I had spicy egg and spicy chicken. Desolate place with the forever broken door, dirty refrigerated counter and tasteless food! Never again!!

Tried Surinamese once. This one was pretty good. The only disadvantage is that it is difficult to get to the store, as it is located in a closed part of the city. You can't eat there and it is only takeaway. But if you ever fancy Surinamese or Indonesian food, this is an option.

The owner is very friendly, the taste of the food is delicious, the favorite menu of this restaurant is chicken soup, very authentic, chicken soup complete with rice and boiled eggs,

It's okay for a quick bite, but unfortunately it doesn't meet my expectations of an authentic Surinamese or Indian place. I did not taste the (authentic) flavor of the gado gado and the Bali chicken

Never had such a tasteless Indian meal before. More than half was thrown away. Very unfortunate, we were looking forward to delicious Indian food after the good reviews. We have eaten at many Indian restaurants and takeaways, but never again.

Insider tip. Don't let the run-down look fool you. Authentic, good food, fresh and with lots of choice. My favorites are the lamb meatballs and the Brussels sprouts. I see other caterers get their evening meals here sometimes. Can get very busy sometimes.

Very bad, the filled bara does not resemble roti without an egg or you have to pay 2 euros extra for an egg. Food is heated in the microwave. I called in advance and they forgot your order. Really a waste of money. Indonesians and Surinamese would be ashamed of this food.

Ordered the set menu's. Food was tasty and portion generous, but have to give a poor rating as the service (though polite) was unbelievably slow. Would probably understand waiting 20 minutes for my order if there was cooking involved, but everything was already cooked and available in the showcase... The server also seemed unfamiliar with what items were included in the dish as she had to very slowly consult the card.

Ongelofelijk hoe deze zaak is achteruit gegaan... Voor de 2e keer binnen en maand, weer niet gekregen wat ik besteld heb... Neem nog geen moeite meer om de hete makreel te gaan ophalen.... Kom er al jaren, maar nu de laatste keer... Als je ziet hoe alles in de vitrine ligt. De medewerker die met zijn vingers in het eten zit. Een deur die al jaren een kapotte ruit heeft. Als je richting keuken kijkt, kun je je ogen niet geloven.. Medewerkers zijn slecht of nauwelijks geinstrueerd, zijn traag, kennen de hygiene voorschriften niet Hygiene is ver te zoeken, vraag mij af wat er gebeurd als de warenkeuringsdienst daar eens een kijkje gaat nemen.

Had good experiences in the past and thought I would try it again, but now very disappointed in the taste or even lack thereof and the service in case. After having to wait a long time to be helped, which is not a bad thing, I am then given cold food. Nasi Rames cost €13 on the menu, but at checkout an additional €2.50 was charged for an unrequested egg with sambal and tofu that, as far as I know, comes with every rames. The portions were also very meager. All in all, I think this is the worst choice for Indonesian food in Maastricht and I don't plan on eating here again. I think you are much better off at Gembira, here I have had the tastiest Indonesian food in Maastricht so far, the nasi rames there was €12 with all the trimmings, it was at least 10x better than this bland stuff. The title “Indonesian caterer” should be withdrawn and replaced by “Indonesian fraudster”. I can also certainly agree with what others say here about the unhygienic and chaotic place after my last visit. Too bad Gembira was closed.

Bad😫 The offer of €10 is expensive. The container is 3/4 filled with noodles. You have to look for the meat and vegetables and tempeh with a magnifying glass... 1 tablespoon of everything. Outrageous... Never again😫

After good experiences in the past (+/- 3 years ago) we were now very dissatisfied: - unsanitary and chaotic tent - tasteless and greasy food, soggy rice - peanut sauce didn't even taste like peanut Unfortunately never again.

The best Idonesian take away in my opinion. The quality of the food is superb and reasonable priced. We come here for over 15 years now and Uchi (owner) is always kind and in for a chat! Try it yourself 😊

The plantain, baras and satay sticks were all tasteless. The plantain was inedible and the baras not at all. The bakkeljouw fish was very salty. Very unfortunate for spending €48.50. The 1 star is for the friendliness and spring rolls.

I'm amazed at some of the bad reviews, because I got the tastiest rendang ever here. The roti was also excellent.

Ik wil de mensen waarschuwen dat ze hier niet moeten bestellen, Traag personeel,onbeschoft lang wachten op je bestelling,,,de gerechten zijn smakeloos, waterig ,,,het smoorvlees was droog en hard,,,,zelfs de hond at het niet,,€45 betaald gewoon schandalig...ze zijn niet bekwaam om een zaak te runnen...ik zou zeggen het is tijd om de boom te KAPPEN!

I must say I ordered with great hope, after reading many good comments. Well this is anything but Indonesian food, And the rotis were also ridiculously bad. Tasteless junk in watery sauce, and mixed vegetables don't belong in roti. The bara was also tasteless and just like a piece of rubber. The only thing that was somewhat okay was the roti plate. Got some there yesterday. We wanted 2 skewers of satay with noodles that were on the plate outside, but got something completely different. That's for starters. Then a whole bowl full of noodles on which some meat is placed (I think about 4 pieces with some sauce) and some vegetables and you have to pay 10 euros for that! And the best part is: it tasted like nothing, the meat didn't, the broccoli looked like cardboard. never again. That one star is for the service. He was friendly. Then again, yes.

En dat al jarenlang van een niet aflatende kwaliteit in deze bescheiden maar bijzonder gastvrije afhaal winkel aan de Boschstraat. Maastricht mag zich gelukkig prijzen met zo n ervaren Chefkok als Uci en haar team daar in het booming Sphinx-Kwartier. De gerechten zijn en blijven authentiek omdat alle aandacht gegeven wordt aan ingredienten die dagelijks vers worden aangeleverd door zorgvuldig gekozen leveranciers, en in geen enkel gerecht gebruik gemaakt wordt van smaakversterkers. Kruiden en specerijen net als nieuwe recepten rechtstreeks uit Indonesie. Alles wat je hier krijgt is het resultaat van “ koken met passie “. Voor mij al jaren met veel overtuiging de beste: Eenmaal Klapperboom, altijd Klapperboom, neem gewoon geen genoegen meer met minder!

We had a great day in Maastricht again. A small snack bar with a very nice owner who also cooks and prepares the dishes. The shop is designed to quickly enjoy good cuisine, but without service, as there are basically no seats. However, despite the tight space, we were allowed to stay there as it was raining unpleasantly outside. Many thanks to the owners.

Great food... bit pricey but delicious

Voor een familie-feest met 17 personen hebben we een uitgebreide rijsttafel aan huis laten bezorgen. Heerlijk eten, een ruime keuze aan gerechten. Alles op tijd en warm bezorgd en geinstalleerd met chafing dishes en aankleding met batik doek en wajang poppen. We hebben gesmuld en er een heerlijke gezellige maaltijd aan gehad. De Klapperboom hoort bij Kapulaga. Voor ons voor herhaling vatbaar!
