I went there for my birthday today, and the food was delicious, just like I was sitting at my grandmother's table. Very friendly service. The atmosphere is great.

We had vegetarian appetizers and two vegetarian gado gado kompleet dishes, and we were completely transported back to Indonesia, enjoying the food. Highly recommended! (Next time we'll try the set menu ;p)

Delicious rice table, well-prepared and a nice choice

The service was polite and the atmosphere was good. The food looked good. The taste was much worse and tasted out of date/not fresh. I became very nauseous that evening and still don't feel well. Unfortunately, I won't be returning (a waste of money). 👎🏽

Completely underrated, located on a side street, but if you want to try an Indonesian Rijsttafel, then this is the place for you.

I'm an Indo so you know I'm gonna base my review on my auntie's cooking. The food was good, not my auntie's good, but good. It was flavorful with the right amount of spice. The sambal they served with the shrimp crackers was really tasty. The service was very attentive so no problems there. The place is very cute and clean. It has a nice laid back vibe. I would go back.

Great food (Indonesian rice table), nice atmosphere. The restaurant is located on an inconspicuous street, away from the tourist center, but is easily and quickly reachable on foot.

Smakeloos en van zeer matige kwaliteit. Aankleding doet vermoeden dat je in een goed restaurant zit maar het eten is vergelijkbaar met een gemiddelde chinees. De gerechten zijn echter pittig geprijsd! Niet alles was voorradig en toen er besteld was kregen we niet wat we hadden gevraagd.

Mismanagement in extremis. Waited an hour to get drinks. Then another 40 minutes for food. Got wrong order. Shrimp overcooked. Five tables around us covered in dirty dishes. All diners were unhappy and complaining. The place was only one third full, but man, could they not handle it! What a bummer, such a great menu, such poor performance.

Really enjoyed their colorful rijsttafel, which came with lots of delicious choices. The service was friendly, and the food was served quite quickly as we ordered ahead when making the reservation for tonight (which was easy to do using the phone number on their website). The interior of the restaurant was clean and spacious.

Made a reservation on Thursday evening for Saturday evening, when you get there they don't have a reservation, really very bad, they advise you to pay much more attention, if you are there with good taste you can look for something else. Thank you for nothing.

Deathly cold, no action from staff after complaints about this from several tables. Poor service. Several times I had to fetch the staff from the kitchen to be served.

Very cold, I ended up wearing my scarf, the staff did not look at the heating, we had to get the staff at the bar every time we wanted something else, they were not interested in us, the food was reasonable, I expected more. Reserved for two people for Christmas. Checked the website in advance to see if there were any special features; this was not the case. Arrived around 7:15 PM. It wasn't very busy inside and there were about 6 tables occupied. Upon arrival we were given the menu and after studying this menu we decided that one person would take a menu and I would take individual dishes. Since I am a vegetarian. When ordering we were told that it was not possible to order things from the menu due to Christmas? You were only allowed to purchase a rice table. I said I found this strange because it was not on the website. The waiter also did not indicate this when giving the cards. The waiter went to discuss it. The people at the table next to us indicated the same thing and said they were told the same thing. They had also specifically looked at the website and were not allowed to order their favorite dishes. The waiter came back and said that we could order individual dishes, because we reserved online? After placing our orders, my table companion was given the soup with the message that my starter would take a few minutes longer. After waiting about fifteen minutes I still had nothing. I indicated to the waiter that we thought it was a bit strange that I had to wait so long and that we had to eat our starter separately. The waiter indicated that my table companion should eat the soup slowly and that we would eventually finish at the same time. After 20-30 minutes my starter finally arrived; My table companion's soup was of course already gone. The waiter's colleague asked if this was my starter and I said 'if it's vegetarian, then it's mine'. The waiter said it is one hundred percent vegetarian and gave it to me. I took a bite of the martebak and it had minced meat in it! I was completely fed up with it and decided not to continue the evening in this restaurant. I told the waiter's other colleague that we were leaving and he said 'ok, ok'. After waiting a while, the waiter came back and said that he wanted to pay for everything we had eaten and drunk (1 drink per person, soup and a bite of martabak). I said I would do this reluctantly and actually didn't agree with it. I also had to wash down that minced meat and had to use that drink. The waiter asked if he should call his boss. I said go ahead. Then I received an apology from the boss from the waiter. I never really complain, but this was several drops. Even the people in the restaurant agreed with us and thought it was ridiculous. The restaurant lacked any inspiration and hospitality. It was impersonal and seemed to be run this evening by people who didn't really know what they were doing. The boss was not present. I wonder if the evening would have turned out differently.

The owner barks at you when you call to order for delivery. She flat out says I don't have time, every time! 😡 Then hire staff or don't advertise with delivery!

We had to wait 1.5 hours before anything was on the table. The tablecloth was also covered in stains. The boy serving was not attentive. Food was okay but no more than that.

Das Essen an sich war gut bis spitze, wir hatten zwei der Menüs. Die Schärfe der Speisen zum Beispiel war angenehm. Wir hatten eine große, oftmals überraschende Vielfalt auf dem Teller. Und einen sehr speziellen Nachtisch, wie man sicher lange suchen muss. Was uns den Spaß an diesem Erlebnis verdorben hat, waren die langen Wartezeiten: Wir waren von 18.30 Uhr bis nach 22 Uhr da. Die Vorweg-Suppe (!) kam nach mehr als einer Stunde. Der Hauptgang dauerte noch länger. Unser Hinweis darauf wurde vom ansonsten sehr freundlichen Kellner mit einem lapidaren "Ja, sorry" abgetan. Es fällt also schwer eine durchweg positive Bewertung zu schreiben, auch wenn es das Essen sicher verdient hätte. Highlights waren das bombastisch in Soyasoße gekochte Rind, das milde Hähnchen-Curry, das pochierte Ei mit Sambal, die vegetarische Suppe vorab und die scharfe Jackfruit. Und auch der Nachtisch mit Palmzucker und Süßkartoffelbällchen war besonders. Wiederkommen würden wir aufgrund dieser Erfahrung wohl leider nicht.

The food itself was good to great, we had two of the menus. The spiciness of the food, for example, was pleasant. We had a large, often surprising variety on our plates. And a very special dessert that you will certainly have to look for for a long time. What spoiled the fun of this experience was the long waiting times: we were there from 6:30 p.m. until after 10 p.m. The advance soup (!) came after more than an hour. The main course took even longer. Our reference to this was dismissed by the otherwise very friendly waiter with a succinct "Yes, sorry." There was no explanation - if there had been problems in the kitchen, we would have understood - or there was no real apology. So it's difficult to write a consistently positive review, even if the food certainly deserves it. Highlights were the bombastic beef cooked in soy sauce, the mild chicken curry, the poached egg with sambal, the spicy jackfruit and the vegetarian soup beforehand. And the dessert with palm sugar and sweet potato balls was also special. Unfortunately we wouldn't come back because of this experience.

Here you will find the best rice tables in the area. The food is fantastic and full of flavour. Moreover, there is plenty of choice. The restaurant is nicely decorated and has a good atmosphere. Definitely worth repeating!

We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend. I have to say that the food was delicious, all very good. The staff were kind and welcoming. Small place, I recommend booking. I will definitely go back. Super recommended.

On our way to Hilversum, we made a stopover in Maastricht and had dinner at Kapulaga. What a direct hit! Iens' honorable mentions at the entrance are completely justified. The atmosphere and service are stylish and relaxed, the food is very good. The portions are very tasty (in my case super tender slightly spicy chicken with nasi g), beautifully presented and generous. In my opinion, this is highly recommended and worth making the detour for. Please keep it up! Regarding music, I agree with a previous review.

Great service and even better food. The custom rijsttafel was great, the waiter was extremely flexible and easygoing with all of our dietary restrictions. Looked like a local family, mom in the kitchen and son and daughter in the front of the house. Will definitely return.

We ate and enjoyed the two of us! Rice table kakanda. Lots of different dishes on the table and with many different flavors. Not too spicy, so your taste remains good to taste the delicious differences. Also had two delicious desserts. Service and friendliness also top!

The food is not served hot and is (by Indonesian standards) bland and lacks some spice. In my opinion, the price-quality ratio is therefore not good, although the amount of food is certainly not little. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is neat.

The real Indonesian cuisine. As a half Indo, you always look for the flavors from your youth. The choice fell on rice table kakanda 2 people. Then you have a little bit of everything and this was delicious. Furthermore, friendly service and an open kitchen so that you can see that real cooking is taking place. The sambal with the prawn crackers was delicious.

The rice tables are an absolute must for people who are very hungry. Delicious authentic Indonesian dishes with a choice of satay, fish, vegetarian or mixed. We opted for the mixed variant, which consisted of 12 dishes and had a true all-you-can-eat experience. Bintang beer combines excellently with the spicy dishes. Very friendly service and a good price/performance ratio.

We had a rice table for 2, it was on warming plates but it cooled down quickly. But that was certainly due to the temperature in the shop, 15°c was on the thermostat. The waitress was a young girl who clearly didn't have much experience with it. Too bad, not worth repeating in the cold months.

Au vu des commentaires nous nous réjouissions d’essayer ce restaurant indonésien. Il faisait froid dans le restaurant et nous avons mangé avec nos manteaux malgré avoir demandé du chauffage qui n a jamais été augmenté. La rijstafel végétarienne était loin d’être incontournable et pour certains plats, nous ne savions pas très bien ce que nous mangions Addition assez élevée pour la qualité servie et vraiment déçues.

Unfortunately!! after 1.45 hours finally the cold food at the door and? So it really wasn't Indonesian food!! Worthless, the noodles were bland, the nasi looked like couscous and the peanut sauce was watery! Actually, the owner should give my hard-earned 33 euros back! In short, after a few bites of everything, everything was dumped in the bin. Maybe take another food preparation course at Ibu wanita itu?? Wouldn't be wrong!! Par rapport à d'autres villes hollandaises, Maastricht compte peu de restaurants indonésiens. Celui-ci est un peu à l'écart dans une rue tranquille. La cuisine servie est copieuse, pas trop chère et pas trop épicée. Le service est correct.

Bestelden voorgerecht van lumpia, martabak en maiskoek. Serveester moest mij echt vertellen wat ik gegeten had, kon het zelf niet goed onderscheiden ( terwijl ik zelf Indisch ben). Maiskoek was hard en taai. Hadden om extra pittige nasi goreng gevraagd met tempe( die lekker was) en sate ajam. Nasi was ronduit flauw. Sate was ook echt matig ( proefde geen roostersmaak). Vonden het echt jammer, omdat we ons er echt op verheugd hadden. Personeel was nietemin erg vriendelijk.

Het restaurant heeft een mooie open inrichting en het personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Over het eten zelf ben ik minder te spreken. Het smaakte wat flauw en ik had de indruk dat een aantal gerechten niet vers vereid waren, maar uit de vriezer kwamen. Dat meende ik te proeven aan zowel de smaak als de structuur van een aantal gerechten. Ik zou dit restaurant willen adviseren de gerechten op de kaart te beperken, maar dan wel alles voortaan vers te bereiden. In mijn beleving zijn ze een beetje 'ingedut'. Jammer, want het heeft zeker potentie.

After a good start with the betawi soup we were disappointed at the lack of taste of the following dishes. The chicken and beef sate lack flavour, the gadogado oozes water, the beans are not crispy, the fried rice is too salty and the yellow rice is bland. Waiting time is also excessively long.
