Tastyyyy thin crust pizza and their wit is v good!!

A gem of a spot in the xxx. A super friendly staff serving great NJ style pizza and boozy yummers drinks. Huge bonus of showing nfl games with a local crew to scream at the tv with (go Bills!).

Absolutely fantastic place, I was there with my company and we had a blast! Fantastic staff, excellent food and great space! Will comeback for sure!

I was in Amsterdam NL for work, in need of pizza, and recalled a post about a NJ style bar pie joint named De Kleine Appel. It was easy to find, just a couple of stops on the M52 subway, really cool vibrant neighborhood. They serve a GREAT pie. I arrived just as they opened and introduced myself to the owner/chef Andrew. Solid, solid guy, ordered a ‘mootz. He poured me a Dutch white beer and while he prepped the pie we swapped stories from New Haven to Bel Mar. The sauce was made up fresh, maybe 4 or 5 unidentified spices mixed in, requisite cheese, and the pie went into the oven. What emerged was a thin crust with perfect chew, a solid peripheral crunch, that needed just a slight NJ fold to hold the slice. The sauce was “present” but by no means dominant, actually attenuated a bit by the spectacular cheese blend that avoided being gooey and had a nice balanced texture. It’s not NH apizza, but it’s a hell of a fantastic pie. Andrew and his crew of locals and ex-pats made it a memorable experience, and ultimately that’s what it’s all about.

Went tonight for a pub quiz with some friends, it was a really nice time. The questions were challenging but not too crazy, so it had a good balance. The staff was friendly and efficient. Drinks were reasonably priced and the bar snacks were decent. Overall I'd return.

Nice local spot for a bit and a beer. Somewhat limited on outdoor seating, so plan ahead if it's hot out. They carry several beers from the US as well if you're looking for something different!

Pub un peu excentré, dans une rue calme. La soirée en terrasse était très agréable. Serveurs très sympathiques et efficaces. Bières délicieuses. La carte pour manger est réduite, mais tout est fait maison et très bon. Une très bonne adresse à Amsterdam.

Great little bar in De Pijp neighborhood. Great selection of beer and cocktails and some of the best bar food in the city. All the sliders are great. Great happy hour spot as well.

Local gastronomic Amsterdam-New York pub offering the perfect mix of good food, music, beverages and warm hearted attention from all staff including the owner. It is a small place, and such a welcome addition to the never-ending expansion of overpriced tourist hangouts in de Pijp area, like the ones at Marie Heinekenplein (safe places for people with dysfunctional taste buds). De Kleine Appel, and gastronomic bars alike, for you, five stars. Thank you.

This place is my fav in De Pijp! Such a great assortment of American food, some with a cool Dutch twist! They have an awesome selection of beers, fun trivia nights, and the best snacks. We go at least once a couple weeks, 10/10

Had a lovely dinner here on the terrace. Friendly staff and really nice vibe. The food was delicious. We will be coming back for sure!

We loved everything about this place. Everything on the menu looked great but we went with the spinach dip and sliders (chicken Parmesan and rueben). The food was delicious. So tasty and the portion sizes were perfect. Service was excellent and look forward to going back.
