Friendly staff and definitely suitable for a fun party

We had rented The Kwaak for the day, we a training. We were greeted warmly by our hosts and offered coffee and tea. The space is not large but was big enough for 15 people and the training that was given. Lunch was ample and very tasty. The vegetarian selection of food was very good. Our day ended with drinks and yummy snacks. It is a very nice location and is situated on the canal surrounding the old city center of Zwolle.

On a beautiful late summer day in Zwolle, we discover a small but cozy terrace on a lawn by the water. We both drink a specialty tea, as they have many of them on the menu. Alas, a short visit, but definitely worth a return visit. Keep up the good work!

On a Sunday afternoon in October, I celebrated my 40th birthday at De Khaak, with drinks and snacks for more than 40 people. What a success!! Owner Andras has thought carefully about my wishes, and was very flexible in putting together and shifting the 'standard' options. The location is really original and atmospheric (the party was indoors), and perfect for 40 to 50 people (in my opinion). I didn't have to think about anything, everything went smoothly and my guests (and I!!) enjoyed the relaxed, cozy atmosphere on the boat. A great tip if you are looking for an original place for your party/drinks, with a great price/quality ratio. I had an unforgettable afternoon!

Very nice staff who often have a chat. Food is delicious, not that wide selection but what you can order is delicious. Good atmosphere even when it rains. Fish is cooked perfectly.

Amazing place, friendly staff, correct prices. We didn't order any food, just drinks. Mojito wasn't the best, but better than the average in the area. A very nice place to relax a bit in the sun, next to a canal, without cars or bikes around. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Zwolle.

Last night I visited De Khaak in Zwolle and was spoiled with an extensive menu of tasty and creative dishes, prepared with fresh ingredients. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly and attentive. The warm and cozy atmosphere made the restaurant a great place for a culinary experience. De Khaak is an absolute must for anyone looking for delicious food, good service and a pleasant atmosphere!

We had 2 different cakes. Expensive, but really tasty and nicely presented. Also friendly waiters and calm area where you can relax while listening to the birds singing.😁

We sat here on the terrace and ate delicious bitterballen and nachos and drank beers. Nice staff and great location. Even when it rains, because the partly covered terrace. You can also sit inside and you can also dine there. Menu is somewhat limited, but smelled wonderful inside. Will definitely go here more often, also to eat once.

At Khaak you can sit quietly on the beautiful Thorbeckegracht. Possibly relax in bean bags while the sun shines and the boats slowly pass you by. Always a bowl of water for the dog and friendly service makes it a place where you can feel at ease. For both a drink and a bite to eat.

Super tasty and cozy meal (mussels and satay with green salad) and what friendly service, really great! We were with two young children and felt very welcome. Spontaneously a bowl with strips of raw vegetables came for them. An extra plate so they could eat with us was no problem. We were even allowed to ask for extra fries for free, which wasn't necessary for us because the portions are generous! Finally: very decent prices, that was also a surprise. Thanks for the nice evening, I can recommend this restaurant to everyone!

very nice little restaurant (photographed from a beanbag frog's perspective) with friendly, laughing service that makes me feel like my Dutch is perfect 😉. We ate two delicate and lovingly prepared salads, highly recommended. Apparently you can also eat inside the ship, which definitely looks very nice. Not for philistines

Cozy informal restaurant in the boat, with a very nice, quiet and spacious terrace, simple but excellent menu. We had nachos as a starter, and then opted for the burger (meat), the beet burger (vegan) and the salad (vegetarian) and all three were excellent. The portions are certainly not too small and with the delicious sweet potato fries, more than enough for big eaters :). The tasty desserts and good espresso (Puro) topped it off.

Pleasant terrace along the waterfront, delicious quesadillas, fries and Vrijwit 0.5% beer. The weather was beautiful (warm) so many small boats (which you can rent) sailed past. The kitchen is in the ship (galley 😁). Very pleasant staff!!!

Delicious food on the canal. Simple map, helpful staff. Dogs are allowed, and a drinking bowl was provided. Sandwiches not cheap, but tasty, from the city bakery. There is an outdoor terrace and seating on board. Bonus points for a house cat!

If you want to get a summer feeling, sit on the terrace, just outside the old city wall on the canal. A lovely lawn, large parasols or relaxing in the sun. An excellent menu, good coffee. The ship also has room for a reasonable group of people. Highly recommended.

Simple but good and when the weather is nice you sit in the sun the longest of all the restaurants in Zwolle. Friendly staff. You can't choose much, but what they have is very good.

Company dinner, workshop, information and would you like something different from the standard room and accompanying buffet? Then the Khaak is a very nice alternative. We found the relaxed atmosphere and the staff's input in advance very pleasant. Nothing is too much and (almost) everything is possible. The stew buffet we chose was extensive, surprising and simply delicious!
