Beautiful restaurant with a great sea view. A small but fine menu with delicious dishes. Wait times should be a bit shorter.

The Lovers by the Sea. I come here often and with great pleasure. The building is unobtrusive, stylish, and almost completely transparent, offering a fantastic view of the sea from the dune top. The service is attentive and warm. (You won't find that anywhere on our coast.) They serve carefully prepared, delicious food, without pretense, and with something for everyone. I commented on the music in a previous review. It wasn't necessary, as I was told that they also cater to more sensitive ears. I find it rather chic!

Good food, top location, tasty cocktails!

We arrived on Saturday at 5:30 PM with a baby and a 3-year-old. Despite it being packed (inside), we received a very friendly welcome. When we asked if we could just order an appetizer because of the kids, it was no problem at all. An extra spoon and high chair were brought immediately, and the food arrived quickly and was delicious. The attentive service was fantastic. The view remains stunning. We'd love to come back!

Where can you find such a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere where you can watch the sun set over the sea every day? Ed and his team always go above and beyond to ensure everyone has a smile and a positive outlook. It's a wonderful place to start or end your day. We enjoyed the excellent food with a fantastic view. The burger and wedges were fantastic. Crispy bun, large, juicy patty, and fantastic crispy potato wedges. The salmon on squid-flavored pasta was also excellent. The highlights were the crème brûlée and hazelnut ice cream. I would come back for that alone.

Wir haben uns die Thunfisch Vorspeise geteilt. Mein Mann hatte den Burger und ich das vegetarische Curry. Als Dessert gönnten wir uns dann noch die Crème brûlée und den Lemon Cheesecake. Es war mega lecker, der Service war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend - obwohl der Laden restlos ausgebucht war - und wir sind rund um glücklich mit unserer Restaurantwahl an unserem letzten Urlaubsabend❣️

On top of the dunes, at the parking lot and at one of the beach entrances, this beautiful pavilion is open all year round. The atmosphere here is relaxed with a casual/beach look :). Deliciously eaten from beautiful and honest dishes, visibly thought up and prepared with care and culinary creativity. And certainly consumed with taste during a beautiful view over the dunes and the sea! It was the first time we visited this restaurant and we were all pleasantly surprised! Definitely recommended!

We have been here several times in the past few years and the previous times everything was great. But yesterday we were there again, and it was disappointing. The menu was less special than before. The food was very tasty again. But they had forgotten us, others were already being served their order and when we asked, they came up with a very stupid excuse that it had to be fried for a long time… we had ordered salmon and a salad.. then we had to wait long enough for the salmon to be fried, and when the meal was already half finished we only got the fries that we ordered. Too bad! This does not fit here. And last night we found out that the ordered decaf was really not decaf. Such a shame. The view and the atmosphere remain great. But be honest if you make a mistake. Offer a free drink or something. But don't do it like that. And certainly don't give regular coffee when decaf is requested. (And the decaf is also confirmed by the staff)

The decor is also designed with great attention to detail: stylish, cozy, and simply comfortable. Even though I arrived quite early and the kitchen wasn't officially open yet, I received an incredibly friendly welcome. The team was super accommodating and still organized something for me to eat – something I really shouldn't take for granted! I found it particularly considerate that they understood my situation, as my dog ​​was alone in the beach house and I wanted to hurry. That's service with heart. 🐶❤️ The coffee was really good and the breakfast delicious – fresh, lovingly prepared, and high-quality. The prices are absolutely fair for what's on offer. Overall: a place I'd definitely love to return to. Absolutely recommend it! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Fantastic view, but if you don't have any sweet white wine in the house on a Saturday afternoon, I think that's a big mistake

We were here for dinner. The menu was very clear, but we've gotten used to it. The food was well presented and delicious. The view was great.

We stopped here on the recommendation of Villa t'Haasduin and had the recommended three-course menu, and we were blown away. Even when we looked at the other dishes, everything looked very, very delicious. The magnificent view of the sea also contributed greatly to our well-being. My wife and I personally thanked the chef. A visit to De Liefhebbers will be remembered for a long time 🙏💯

The Caesar salad was without tomatoes, which was surprising. But the food was delicious. The view of the sea was great, and we were also pleased with the service.

Sometimes you come to a place where everything is just right: the view (dunes, beach and sea!), the location, the interior, the menu, the staff and the atmosphere. De Liefhebbers aan Zee is such a place. Delicious latte macchiato, fresh apple pie with whipped cream and the best hamburger. I spent hours there for two days, looking out over the dunes, beach and sea. A very nice place and warmly recommended. I will definitely come back sometime (and would like to reserve the two low chairs in the left corner now 😄).

We enjoyed coming here very much and often. But last time we went for a walk and the plan was to have lunch here afterwards. My 4 year old daughter had to go to the toilet straight away. Once outside, someone walked up behind us and asked; Ma'am, would you also like something to drink? My response: yes, of course, we'll come later. But after the walk I didn't like this feeling at all. I understand the principle, but this is how you scare away regular customers. Exceptions can always be made.

Had a drink first. Then we had a lovely walk and then came back for lunch. We both had carpaccio. Very tasty. Clean sanitary facilities available. You sit on the terrace out of the wind behind glass screens. Yesterday there were annoying flies/bugs that kept landing on the table.

Great location. We didn't have a reservation, arrived early, and were able to sample the fantastic cuisine. The chef was the epitome of calm, even when it got busier. Truly delicious, and the service was incredibly friendly. We'd gladly return.

This restaurant is located on the dunes near Wijk aan Zee. We had a delicious meal there (again) and enjoyed the delicious beers and wines. Friendly and hospitable staff and everything of excellent quality. Definitely recommended!

A lovely place to be in. We enjoyed our lunch there watching the sea . It was not crowded when we visited during week day. Food also was very good. Very nice location where parking is also free and lot of parking space is available all the time .

Wonderful place with an amazing view. We had carrot cake and a hot dog, and both were super delicious. One of my favorite places to go on weekends.

Great view and nice location—perfect for stopping by after a walk along the coast. The service was pleasant, and it’s lovely that they’re pet-friendly. I had a flat white and apple cake; while I didn’t love them, they were decent. The apple cake, however, was overly creamy inside and too hard on the outside, making it difficult to slice. On the bright side, the toilets were clean. Overall, it’s a good place to visit.

Al vele jaren komen wij (als ouder stel) vrijwel wekelijks bij De Liefhebber. Prachtige plek! Eerlijke keuken zonder ‘gedoe’. Prima bediening en dito eigenaar. Niks te beroerd om af en toe koffie of een wijntje niet te rekenen. Ook de sfeer vinden wij gezellig en leuk. Wij hopen nog vele jaren te kunnen genieten.

It is a beautiful place, right on top of the dune, with a view of the sea. An ideal place to have something to eat or drink after a walk on the beach. Dogs are also welcome. Many tables were reserved, keep that in mind (especially on weekends)!

My worst experience in the NL so far :( I went there with my family. We asked to sit inside as the sun was hitting really hard and were with children. The waiter said we couldn't, even though it was empty inside. I asked why, and he told me he was just not serving there right now. We were in a good mood, so we decided to just have some drinks and go. I ordered wine, and my daughter started ordering her juice. At that moment, my phone rang, and I picked up the call. The waiter instantly interrupted my daughter and said he wouldn't speak with children. My friend tried to say something, and he said he wouldn't serve us all because I was on the phone and just left (I had ordered already!!!). We were left clueless, and even the tables around were commenting how rude the waiter was. We left. Forget this place, walk a few meters down, and go to any other restaurant on the beach. They treat customers better there.

Sensationelles, schönes Restaurant mit wundervollem Blick über die Dünen aufs Meer. Der Blick in die offene Küche lässt einem bereits das Wasser im Munde zusammenlaufen! Die Gerichte sind wundervoll angerichtet, frisch und geschmacklich einfach toll! Der Service war super zuvorkommend und wir sind einfach nur begeistert gewesen!

Een vrij kleine menukaart, waarvan je zou denken dat je niet meer dan een uur hoeft te wachten. Een drankje besteld om vervolgens te wachten op ons eten. Meer dan een uur later nog geen gerecht op tafel, dit terwijl de mensen om ons heen (die ook na ons hadden besteld) inmiddels al hun eten op hadden. Vervolgens aan de bediening gevraagd waar ons eten bleef, waarop geantwoord werd dat het er elk moment aan zou komen. Een kwartier later nog steeds geen eten op tafel. Jammer dat het personeel niet eerlijk kon zeggen dat ze het vergeten waren en dat ze hun best zouden doen. Dus vervolgens weer naar de bediening toegegaan, op een snauwende arrogante manier werd ons medegedeeld dat ruim 1,5 uur wachten meer dan normaal is en dat het allemaal aan ons lag. Wat een vreselijke sfeer hangt hier met arrogante bediening en een hele NARE eigenaar. Absoluut geen aanrader, genoeg andere leuke en lekkere restaurantjes in de buurt.

We ate here a few times during our holiday and the food is excellent. We had the Beyond burger most of the times (if you want it vegan, be sure to mention that, since the bun is not vegan) and my boyfriend also had the salmon, which he loved. The service is very friendly and helpful and the view onto the ocean wonderful.
