A very nice place with wonderful food. The tapas are very fine. The salmon blinis are particularly delicious. The appetizer (the cauliflower soup) was very tasty. However, we did have to wait a long time. The young, very friendly service team was superb, though. The main courses rounded off the wonderful experience. We can highly recommend this lovely restaurant.

When we made the reservation, the owner did not really make us feel welcome. It was striking that customers who came in later were helped earlier. Food was good, but not more. E.g. a tournedos with a small bowl of (factory?) sauce and something salad-like (factory?) for €47.50 is not really cheap. An appetizer of grilled peach containing exactly 3 pieces of peach is meager. A caramelized banana consists of 1 half banana, some small puffs of curd and a dollop of red fruit compote (factory?) Then there is the plain water: a bottle in the store €0.70 for €7.50 on the price list... The toilets are Small! And therefore not necessarily suitable for wheelchair users, etc. This was a small selection. Fortunately, the owner is consistent: he was just as dismissive during checkout as he was when making a reservation. No, De Open Keuken may close again under the current situation. Positive: parking space and the skylight.

Sfeer redelijk goed, maar de prijs/kwaliteit laat te wensen over. Eigenaar mag wat vriendelijker tijdens drukte. Zowel tijdens reserveren las tijdens afrekenen geen gevoel je gast te voelen. Een tournedos van 300 gr met wat saus en wat rauwkost voor €47.5 of een halve banaan, wwat hangop en roodfruit uit een potje voor €8,5, gegrilde perzikmet 3 stukJES perzik en erg veel groenvoer.

De locatie is leuk en het personeel gastvrij maar het eten is niet bijzonder, zeker niet voor deze prijzen. Menu is weinig verrassend, porties zijn karig en alles moet er extra bijbesteld worden. Wij waren met 7 personen, allemaal andere gerechten besteld maar niemand was enthousiast, jammer voor een restaurant dat de naam heeft het beste in de omgeving te zijn.

We reserved a table on the advice of others, with some skepticism about eating out on a weekday Tuesday evening (perhaps too quiet), very pleasantly surprised by a cozy restaurant with a sold out restaurant at 6:30 PM. Delicious smoked salmon, finally not too cold. The ribs were delicious and the tournedos cooked perfectly. Refreshing, the non-pushy staff. Location in the middle of a residential area is somewhat difficult when it comes to parking. We will definitely come back

Recently visited DOK for a business dinner. Very good service and delicious food. The meat is very finely pre-cut and served neatly. Lots of wine choices and also very trained staff. Gem in Beverwijk! P.S. The food was so delicious that I forgot to take a photo.

Not exactly a location where you expect a restaurant, but what you don't expect from the outside is what you will find when you walk in... good atmosphere and experience, nice and cheerful service and a delicious meal. Definitely recommended. Parking is free in the residential area.

What a nice cozy restaurant. Brown cafe style and nice staff. Why 'open cues'? Yes, it is literally an open kitchen. Easy menu and not a lot of dishes that you have to think about. Good food.

Very tasty, very attentive team, very cozy. Amuse bouche, creative appetizers and side dishes, perfectly roasted meat and, to top it off, small goddelijes Snoeperijtes, even if you are a man or woman, there are always a few of them and it is an experience.

It's been a while since everything was right! From the moment you enter until you leave. I am very impressed and happy! We had a delicious and pleasant dinner here from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. We had a nice spot for 2 in the corner near the mirrors. You can store the coats on hooks next to your table or, if desired (for very long coats, for example) on the coat rack. Our host was a friendly, warm-hearted young man who spoke quietly and slowly. That was very pleasant and relaxing, in a busy, but very nice restaurant! The wine, Sauvignon Blanc, was very tasty and I was allowed to taste it beforehand. Very thoughtful, but given the label, that wasn't necessary for me. We started with bread and garlic butter, where you could indicate in advance whether you wanted white or wholemeal bread. Back to the fantastic garlic butter, because we thought this was the tastiest ever! Everything was right, the smell, color, structure, the softness and at the same time tasteful, without being sharp. Also how it spread and the amount was correct. It was really delicious! We received a delicious one-bite appetizer in between, which tasted good. The onion soup (photo) next was super delicious, flavorful and performed very nicely! At first I thought it would be awkward to eat because the dough layer and cheese were hanging over the bowl, but if you slowly fold the corners in with your spoon, it works great. What an incredibly delicious, full and tasty soup, which was perfect in terms of quantity! In between, I regularly saw our host keeping a close eye on us to see if we were short of anything or if there was anything he wanted to ask. Very nice! Then came the main course, I had the tournedos (200 gr. medium fried) with pepper sauce (photo). As sides we had fries/fries and Brussels sprouts. Looked and tasted good too! But the tournedos was really sublime! It was attractive to look at and tasted perfectly plain. My knife just slid through the beautiful piece of meat! How good this was. Big compliments to the chef! The dessert, Dame Blanche, was beautifully presented and the chocolate was delicious. The hot chocolate sauce was not bitter at all and that was great! Normally I think this has a bitter taste, but this was very tasty. Some practical matters: -Free parking is possible there. Either on the street or in the parking lot (space for approximately 15 cars). -Separate toilets for men and women. A nice detail is that the men's have blue, white and yellow glass above the door and the ladies' have red, white and yellow. - Beers on tap are also available - Coats close to your table. Always pleasant. - Sound-absorbing ceiling, but it is really busy (we were there on Friday), but not disturbingly busy. - Open Kitchen (of course 😉) is a win-win. Fun for the staff and for the guests. All in all, kudos to "DOK" (The Open Kitchen), because we had 4 different employees at the table and they were all friendly and cordial one by one! It really seems like a nice group of people to me. The atmosphere is informal, cozy, but with high quality and service! I felt satisfied and very pampered. My husband also found everything tasty and delicious. Everything was just right on this evening! Thank you very much for that, because we really needed that! 🤎

Gezellig restaurant waar men de klanten nog echt in de watten legt. De voor, hoofd en nagerechten waren zeer lekker en in goede porties geserveerd. We komen hier zeker nog eens terug : )

Het irriteert mij wanneer je ergens voor alle bijgerechten apart moet betalen. Als je al prijzig bent wat niet erg hoeft te zijn, vind ik het not done dat je voor groente en welke vorm van aardappelen dan ook een aparte rekening krijgt.

Gisteren met ons gezin en aanhang heerlijk gegeten, waarbij er één bij was met een heel streng dieet, nl. Fodmap én allergieën voor amandel, ei, lactose, ui, knoflook en gluten én ook nog eens vegetarisch (wel vis). Wat hebben ze zich ingezet om toch iets lekkers op te kunnen dienen. Complimenten hoor!

Wat een sfeervol restaurant, bediening fantastisch, attent, scherp en prima advies. Eten was van zeer goed niveau, heerlijke zeebaars (misschien een rood pepertje erbij). Sfeer echt top en inrichting ook zeer sfeervol. We waren met 8 maar alles tegelijk uitgeserveerd, check op drankjes spot on. Echt een aanrader!!!
