De Molen in Wijk 20 Kaatsheuvel-Oost

Eten was zoals altijd heerlijk. Maar was de bediening? Vragen om drinken? Langs de tafel lopen en niets zeggen. Glazen en borden uithalen en niets zeggen. Vriendelijk praatje?

Geen ingedekte tafel ondanks reserveren. Erg rumoerig maar ook werden de gerechten geserveerd zonder pommes anna ( steak)en aardappelmousseline (paling) Er werd laat friet geserveerd. Geen wijnkaart aanwezig

We didnt even get a table. Contacted you via your website form requesting a reservation. Got an automatic acknowledgment email when we arrived we were told no table reserved and non available. The just said we only take bookings by phone, so why doesn't thw website state this and why were we not contacted and told this. Staff did not care, very disappointing.

Wat een mooie locatie zo’n molen en van binnen erg sfeervol. De gerechten waren verrassend en erg lekker. Wij hebben met z’n allen genoten. Ook de vegetarische gerechten waren heerlijk.

We hebben 21 december genoten van het heerlijke eten in een prachtige ambiance. Helaas werd ons etentje op een onprettige manier door harde muziek in het bargedeelte gestoord waardoor wij elkaar niet meer konden verstaan. Dit kan echt niet in zo'n ambiance. We hebben nog 2 keer aangegeven tijdens en na het diner. Er werd vriendelijk geglimlacht en dat was het dan.... Viel ons erg tegen. Jammer dat het zo moet lopen, we hadden verwacht dat de muziek in de bar wel wat zachter zou worden gezet.......

Delicious food! We opted for the 4-course mill menu. It was all delicious. If I have to mention one downside, it is that the main course was not the same in presentation. The plates differed greatly from the dishes, which also upset the service.

The atmosphere of the Mill is really special, it is warm and homely. To top this off, they also have delicious food, which has not disappointed us once, no matter what we order. Long story short, if you are in the area and really want quality this is the place to go.

Ομορφο περιβαλλον σε εναν Ολλανδεζικο Μυλο.Φαγητο καλο σερβις μετριο. Τα ορεκτικα οπως τα στρειδια πολυ φρεσκα το συκωτι παπιας εξαιρετικο οπως και οι γαριδες. Απο τα κυριως απογοητευτικά. Τα βονγκολε αδιαφορα το φιλετο παπιας ειχε βαρια μυρωδια ο μπακαλιαρος πολυ ωραιο πιατο. Σερβις αργο και απροθυμο.

The building is beautiful, but a lot of noise. Always has been, even back when it still had a star. Food is reasonable, not special. My tablemate ordered medium, but got rear. Most desserts were good.

Voor de eerste keer wezen lunchen in de Molen in Kaatsheuvel op zondag 13 oktober jl. Prachtige warme ambiance. Bijna alles bezet. Gezellige sfeer. Aardige bediening. Het eten was prima van smaak, en werd netjes geserveerd. Mijn vrouw had een aangekleed broodje, en ik een Tournedos pepersaus. Prima van smaak, maar superklein. Ik denk rond de 50 gram. Voor de prijs van 32,50 €. Dus al met al prima maar de prijsverhouding niet in balans. Maar we gaan zeker terug.

Op 11 augustus hebben we het 60 jarig huwelijk van mijn ouders gevierd met 19 personen. Met kinderen, kleinkinderen en 1 achterkleinkind. Om 14 uur werden we ontvangen aan de buitenbar voor het aperitief. Vervolgens zijn we om 15 uur aan tafel gegaan. We hadden de hele hoek van tevoren mogen versieren. Het was een plaatje. Met Robby hadden we van tevoren een prachtig 4 gangen keuzemenu in elkaar gezet van de dinerkaart. Ik had zelf voor mooie menukaarten met foto's gezorgd. Alles was intens genieten; de gerechten, wijnen, ambiance, de gastvrijheid van de bediening en natuurlijk van elkaar! Mijn ouders straalde, we hadden geen mooiere plek uit kunnen kiezen om deze bijzondere dag te vieren! Robby en Team, BEDANKT!

We got a warm welcome from the hostess, which also welcomed us up in the old mill. Here a lovely man showed us how the mill operated and told us a lot about the mill and history. After this we got a very tasty meal and an amazing service. The setting reminded me of a wine yard with a cozy atmosphere in the garden.

The staff and atmosphere are great! The menu could be a bit more extensive and the portion of fries that comes with it could be a bit larger, not that we are big eaters, but 1 very small bowl for 3 people is a bit meager...

I told the server who said that next time I should say in advance that it should be a little shorter😳. Tuna should be grilled very hot and briefly on both sides so that it is wonderfully soft and pink on the inside. Shame.

De locatie, de bediening, het eten, in één woord GEWELDIG! Eén dag na deze smakelijke beleving hebben we het er nog: hoe lekker we hebben gegeten. Helaas komen we niet uit de buurt van Kaatsheuvel, dus het zal wel weer een tijdje duren voordat we weer in de buurt zijn, maar ik rij er ook graag 180 kilometer voor om opnieuw zo lekker te kunnen eten.

De Molen has been a regular lunch or dinner venue for us for almost ten years. We regularly enjoy it here again and again. In our experience, the quality, accessibility and atmosphere are always of a high level. Price-quality ratio is always good. And what is also important to us is that they are open to constructive criticism. Robbie's team deserves the pat on the back.

Klantvriendelijkheid is niet aanwezig. Als je besteld kregen we de vraag is dit het enige? Voorgerecht kwam 1 uur later.. waren ons vergeten.. Geen oog voor ons jammer als je je ouders mee neemt voor een etentje.

Heerlijk eten mooie gelegenheid en vriendelijk mensen.

Wat jammer dat ik maar 5 sterren kan geven;)) al vanaf de aankomst in de avond met de auto worden al je zintuigen warm en liefdevol geprikkeld, schitterend! De entree en ontvangst doen daar nog eens schep bij. De molen is werkelijk fantastisch ingericht. De barman vlot vriendelijk en vakkundig, de drankjes goed verzorgd. Soepel wordt onze groep verzorgd en eenmaal aan tafel gaat het feest in alle glorie door. Ook hier een soepele, vlotte en nagenoeg geruisloze verzorging, top! Ons keuzemenu is super. Van entree tot en met dessert, alles is prachtig opgemaakt, mooi kleurenpalet en perfect van smaak. De begeleidende wijnen goed. Nieuwsgierig en geïnteresseerd als ik ben heb ik thuis de menukaart bestudeerd en viel van verbazing achterover, de prijzen vind ik meer dan schappelijk. Er is maar één ding jammer.. .. voor mij is deze prachtige molen te ver verwijderd van mijn thuisadres om regelmatig te gaan eten. De molen in Kaatsheuvel verdient een 10 met een griffel en lof der jury!

Hadden we al eerder zeer goede ervaringen bij de Molen, gisteren zijn we na een heerlijk diner bij gebrek aan een taxi vanwege 11/11, zelfs door het personeel naar huis gebracht ! Fantastisch :-) !

Tijdens een teamdag hebben we hier met 10 personen van de lunch gebruik gemaakt. Mooie locatie in de molen, de aankleding en de ambiance is fantastisch. Gerechten prachtig opgemaakt, (in forse porties!) en heerlijk qua smaak en kwaliteit. Net bedienend personeel, wat tegenwoordig best zeldzaam is. We hebben jullie restaurant al bij diverse mensen aangeraden! Tot een volgende keer!

Es hat sich gelohnt hier vorbeizuschauen. Die Menüs waren super aufeinander abgestimmt. Auch der Service war hervorragend.

Heerlijk gegeten in deze prachtige molen. Leuk dat de gasten naar boven mogen om een kijkje te nemen in de molen. Sfeer was gezellig en bediening vriendelijk en vlot.

Uitgenodigd voor een lunch en dan hier terecht komen is geen straf! Wij hebben genoten van de mooie opgemaakte borden die geserveerd werden en het was nog lekker ook :)! Spontane alerte jongen die ons bediende. Leuk in een molen, maar als je binnen komt krijg je echt een wauw effect. Het ziet er prachtig uit van binnen èn buiten op terras ook! Mond op mond reclame ben ik al gestart, want wij hebben echt een gezellige lekkere middag gehad in een fantastische ambiance!

Beautiful location with very friendly staff but the service is rather slow, especially if the restaurant is full. The quality of the food is good and the menu intriguing, however, some plate combination are questionable, sometimes pretentious and for my personal taste a bit too salty. Ideal place for celebrating a special occasion, business dinner or a romantic outing.
