Had a delicious meal at Pizzabakkers Zwolle! The pizzas are truly top-notch: a tasty, thin, crispy crust, good ingredients, and lots of flavor. Everything was fresh and beautifully prepared. The atmosphere is also cozy, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Definitely recommended if you are in Zwolle and are in the mood for a good pizza. We will absolutely be back here again!

A response after a reservation seems normal to me. Now we had to call to follow up if the reservation was going ahead. This restaurant is no longer worth a visit.

However, it's not for people who don't like thin crusts, as it's quite thin in the middle. This didn't bother us, and we would definitely go back. Best pizza in town!

Pizza with a black crust, very soggy, and thin in the middle, even thinner than a pancake. I mentioned this too; it was Neapolitan-style pizza. So you don't get tired of this, just cut off the wide crust around it. And what was inside was very, very thin. Well topped with salami, though.

The extremely thin pizza crust isn't really my thing. As a result, the middle of the pizza is a bit soggy. Taste is subjective, but in my opinion, the outer edge had a few too many black spots. You can cut that away quite easily, though. But I prefer pizza crusts to be a bit thicker. And outer edges crispy, but not burnt!

Ordered 2 pizzas for takeaway, 45 euros, and received pizzas with missing toppings. The pizzas are already unnecessarily expensive, and then you go and forget toppings worth 6 to 7 euros… A shame, a real shame.

Are you looking for a perfectly bland pizza? Look no further! The ‘giala & burrata’ has the looks of a highly interesting creation - indeed very esthetic - but once you bite it, enchantment is gone. There almost no umami, usually given by the grana/Parmesan cheese and no salt that could partly compensate for the lack of it. That being said, we only tried that pizza and other varieties can be great.

Of the thousands of restaurants I have tried, this restaurant is absolutely number one for me. The quality, taste, and service are excellent. Best pizza I've eaten in years, nice and enthusiastic staff

Not recommended. We had to wait about 45 minutes for the pizzas in the restaurant. Our pizzas were also lukewarm. The staff solved this by putting the pizzas back in the oven for a short time, causing the edges to turn largely black. You shouldn't expect this for the price you pay for the food.

You wouldn't know they won an award last year. The staff isn't exactly friendly and are uninterested. We had just received our pizza and hadn't even taken a bite when we were already asked indifferently if everything was to our liking. No idea. But we soon found out it wasn't. The pizza was poorly cut and we had to look for cutlery and napkins ourselves. I found the pizza mediocre. It could have had more flavor, and it is hugely disappointing that the goat cheese used is the standard goat cheese you can also buy in the supermarket; a bit tasteless. All in all, a disappointing experience and the price-quality ratio is not good.

Reserved for a quarter to 7. Arrived promptly at that time, then stood waiting because our table wasn't available. Fortunately, we were allowed to either wait at the bar where there was absolutely no room or outside in the rain! Pizza crusts were still lying on the floor; very dirty. Upon entering, we were ignored for an unacceptably long time (though we were certainly seen); the staff were too busy talking to each other. The pizza itself was very tasty and well-priced. We were also forgotten again when ordering dessert. Eventually, after half an hour, someone had to be brought over, after multiple failed attempts at making eye contact. The pizzas are great, but the service certainly isn't.

We had a delicious shared starter and pizzas here as a couple. We hadn't made a reservation, but we were able to get a table perfectly fine on a weekday evening. It was pleasantly busy and there was a very cozy atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive. The pizzas were made completely fresh. The crust, size, and taste were perfect. With a starter, pizzas, and several drinks, the total cost for two people was less than 65 euros. Highly recommended!

This is our second visit. The first time, we had to move twice because we had to make room for others who had made reservations. If we hadn't waited 45 minutes to get our food, this wouldn't have been necessary. The second time, we went with renewed hope and a reservation, only to be disappointed again by the wait. We didn't get our food until after sitting for an hour, while the table next to us ordered at the same time and received it much sooner. The service was polite, though sometimes rather passive about the fact that it took so long.

Had a good meal; the pizzas were a good size and the toppings were also very good. The tuna on the pizza was well topped. The Caprese pizza was also a tasty sweet pizza, definitely recommended. The staff is young and active, so definitely make a reservation. Wine glasses are well filled and you are given plenty of time to eat.

We made a reservation for 2 people. When we arrived, we were told we could simply choose our own table, so we did. Afterward, a member of staff came over and said we had to sit at a different table (very close to the kitchen, so not very pleasant). Nevertheless, we were forced to go to another table near the kitchen. After that, we decided not to order and went to another spot. I found this very rude of you; it was quite strange. I will never eat here again, so please show a better attitude towards everyone.

Moderation is the order of the day here. Dropping in on a Friday night to grab a quick bite to eat. The first thing that stands out is that at 8:00 PM, it feels more like a café than a restaurant. The young man's welcome was friendly. We had the burrata, melanzane, and focaccia. The burrata was decent. The portion size of the melanzane was very modest, though. The taste was reasonable. The plain focaccia was tasty. But if that was the best part, that says enough. The dippers we ordered alongside were simply bad. By the way, €4.40 for a Coke Zero is very pricey. You do get 330ml, though, that's true. But the Italian version they serve here is just disgusting. They should at least offer a choice between a premium brand Coke and this Italian misery. At this time, it was very noisy in the place. We won't be coming back here a second time. But there are undoubtedly fans of this place who think differently. Because it was packed this evening.

This chain is always good. The pizzas are very good and the crust of this pizza is nice and thin. It is always busy there. It is a shame that the 'chocolate dessert pizza' is no longer on the menu. I highly recommended that, but apparently those days are over.

It was nice, although they didn’t assign us the best table. It was a bit awkward, the one in the corner, facing both the window and the entrance. I ordered a truffle salami pizza. It was good, but I would have enjoyed it even more with a bit more truffle. I really liked the place, but they don’t have typical Italian flavors. I’m from Italy, and I still enjoyed it anyway. I loved the thin pizza, it reminded me of the pizza we have at home.

Friendly staff! We went out for dinner for my wife's birthday, but unfortunately, we were served a lukewarm pizza. And they forgot to take our drink orders. Understandable, probably because it was busy and they were serving receipts simultaneously. The taste was good otherwise! The staff was also friendly, but I don't know if we'll go back there again this weekend.

We used to come here quite often, which makes this visit even more disappointing. The pizza was extremely thin in the center, with barely anything to bite into, making it feel unsatisfying for the price. What’s confusing is that in responses to other reviews, management states they use the same ingredients. That may be true, but consistency isn’t only about ingredients, it’s also about preparation and training. Other branches deliver noticeably better quality, so this seems to be an execution issue at this location. When multiple customers raise similar concerns, it might be worth looking deeper rather than repeating the same explanation.

We made a reservation, but when we arrived, we were told we had to sit outside because the inside was full. I was blamed for that; I should have checked it out. It's February... Who sits outside?! Well, I checked, and I did make a reservation inside. At a time like that, as a restaurant, you could say, "Oh, that's a shame, something didn't quite go right. We're going to see if we can fix it," instead of saying it's my fault and that I should have checked it out.

Great pizzas, but the restaurant is busy. We didn't get a nice, quiet meal. It was so crowded that it was difficult to hear each other. The pizzas were good, but they were very frugal with the cheese. The tiramisu was delicious.

A large salad consisted of a few small heads of lettuce placed on a plate with an anchovy topped with salad dressing. The eggplant appetizer was a mouse bite and lukewarm. The pizza was lukewarm. The service was completely unreceptive to feedback.

Nice pizzeria food was okay in general a bit overdone with bleating basil on the pizza I would have preferred a bit more toppings considering all the toppings were in the middle of the pizza so around 5 cm was only dough unfortunately, I thought it was a shame that no cheese or mozzarella was not under the toppings but above pieces of mozzarella, we also had a salad with some parmesan cheese that was it we also had tiramisu which was very greasy unfortunately the layer of mascarpone was way too much but yes all in all I give a 3 maybe with some improvement I would give more.

No offense to the lovely waitress, but upon arrival, we were immediately told we had 40 minutes before our next reservation. Our appetizer was therefore rushed, and after 25 minutes, our food arrived (lukewarm). We then had to quickly eat our pizza, and 5 minutes before we had to make room for the next person, they insisted we had to pay. A nice concept; our suggestion is to adjust the reservation time slots to provide more clarity. Our evening felt rushed and not worth the money.

Unfortunately, we were less than satisfied with the service. When I made my reservation, I clearly indicated that we wanted a quiet table for personal reasons. However, when we arrived, we were assigned the first table, just a meter from the entrance, the cash register, and the bar. This was clearly the most noisy spot in the entire restaurant. When we indicated that we really didn't like sitting there (because we had communicated this in advance), we were met with an unpleasant response, and we felt tense. Of course, I understand that not all requests can always be accommodated, but in this case, no attempt was made to take our request seriously. Fortunately, people were leaving, so we were eventually able to sit at a different table. Furthermore, the service was not very attentive, despite the large staff present. We had to raise our hands several times to order something. The staff showed little initiative, which was disappointing. Finally, we ordered two tiramisu and pistachio ice cream for dessert. One tiramisu was beautifully presented, but the other was missing a clear piece (as if a crescent moon had been removed). When I mentioned this, the staff member initially thought I was joking and said I'd probably already eaten it. Only after some insistence did he offer to bring a new one, but my companions didn't want that. Conclusion: The food was absolutely fantastic and we had a pleasant evening, but the service left something to be desired. Next time, we might order takeout instead of dining there. Food: excellent. Service: needs attention.

Every single one was delicious, with quality ingredients and a crispy crust. The spicy version was especially appreciated. The service was friendly and relaxed, just what you'd hope for when you just want to have a nice evening. Another nice touch: they serve a craft beer brewed especially for the pizza makers. Original and also very tasty, definitely something for Untappd fans. Finally, the price was also very reasonable. Good quality, nice atmosphere, and not overly expensive. We will definitely be back.

I spent the whole evening hovering over the toilet. I should probably pay more attention to the food and how it's prepared. Because it looks like I have food poisoning. Otherwise, I'm satisfied.

The food was delicious! The last time we were here was three years ago. The quality of the pizzas has improved even more! The pizza base was excellent, and it really reminded us of pizzas in Italy. A thin, flavorful base with plenty of toppings. Plenty of choices, including appetizers. We sat outside on the terrace. The wooden chairs weren't very comfortable, but there are other chairs available if needed.

The pizza comes from a brick oven 🍕, which is a lovely open kitchen. While you're eating, you'll also see delivery drivers making home deliveries. This adds a bit of "life" to your meal 🍽️

Very disappointing, yet another restaurant in Zwolle that trades quality for an (even) bigger profit margin. Previously, the pizzas were tasty and generously topped. The last few times, I've had the feeling that there's less and less on them. The mozzarella melts too much and tastes like plastic, and the sauce is more of a tomato suggestion. The crust is good, but that's about it. For €16 per pizza, you'd expect more.

Lower quality, higher prices. We always faithfully ordered the same pizza Nduja with Gorgonzola, but the last few times we've seen the quality steadily decline. The pizza is very sadly topped with mediocre ingredients. The mozzarella tastes more like plastic, the gorgonzola is less flavorful, and the onions were nowhere to be found. We won't be back.

Pizzas are delicious but I always get a stomach ache from these pizzas. Probably due to poor/short rise of the dough or too much yeast/bad yeast. In your stomach it can then continue to ferment and expand, especially with warm moisture → gas formation, a bloated feeling and stomach ache.

Disappointing We had reserved the pizza baker for a quiet dinner, which was the worst. Were seated right in front of the kitchen, which meant the staff was constantly walking back and forth. Diagonally behind us were 2 couples with 4 children who ran wild through our corner of the restaurant, without being corrected by the parents and staff. The food itself was mediocre, had pizza spinach with goat cheese, very bland in taste. Apparently should have ordered the extra ingredient. (this is how they keep the prices low) Friend had carpreze with the extra ingredient, which made this pizza full of flavour. When the waitress asked if it tasted good, and I indicated that the pizza tasted bland, she didn't know how to deal with it and responded 'that's how it goes sometimes' uhhhh??? If goat cheese is mentioned, I expect to taste goat cheese and not an insignificant white substance.

Large space, so not very intimate and noisy, with delivery people, waiters and other diners coming and going. View of the open kitchen where three chefs routinely bake one pizza after another. We had made a reservation. Service is friendly and we were regularly approached with "Is everything to your liking?", "Does it taste good?" and “Would you like to order something to drink?” So, busy, tasty pizza and you are seen as a guest.
