I ordered a pizza for the first time at De Pizza Bakkers on the Peppelweg in Rotterdam. Upon delivery, the pizza box was handed over and the delivery person seemed to leave in a hurry. When I turned the box over, I saw that it was not closed properly and when I opened it, I saw a crumpled pile of pizza base with some protruding salami slices. The pizza was also cold. I called the delivery person back and showed him the pizza, after which he apologized to me in broken English and then referred me to customer service. I called the pizza bakers and they indicated that it was a problem with the intermediary, Thuisbezorgd, and that the problem had to be solved with them. So I did not get a new pizza and had to contact Thuisbezorgd. The Thuisbezorgd number 053-4805860 was answered by a computer that indicated that contact had to be made via the website, after which the connection was broken. I have rarely experienced such bad service as this, both from Thuisbezorgd and De Pizza Bakkers. Further message May 19, 2025: The owner of pizza bakers called me the next day to indicate that offering the pizza like this is indeed not right. He also explained why it is on the side of Thuisbezorgd and not Pizzabakkers. Nevertheless, they contacted Thuisbezorgd to have the amount refunded and offered a voucher to pick up a free pizza once. Neat solution, hence an adjusted review.

After a day at Plaswijck Park we had dinner here with 5 children. We were received so warmly upon arrival and immediately had a 5-year-old who stayed with the pizza bakers themselves with great interest and started entire conversations. They also continued to engage in these conversations with enthusiasm. All the kids received a ball of kneaded dough that they enjoyed the entire time and which was later baked to take with them. How nice!! And then we haven't even talked about the pizzas yet. They were delicious, just like the tiramisu! 👌🏻 The fact is that we don't live nearby, but if we are ever in Rotterdam again, this is the place where you can eat delicious food and where it is a real party for the children! We regularly eat pizza here and I've never been a fan of the pizzas, but these are great. The owner/manager Roy is an incredibly enthusiastic and friendly guy who really enjoys his work and apparently he also conveys that to the rest of the staff because they are all nice, friendly people. I understand that this praise seems like an "artificial" review, but I mean it sincerely. Kudos to this place where you can still enjoy a nice meal for a nice price and receive the hospitality of Roy that you rarely see. Absolutely recommended if you like a really good pizza.

The boss is incredibly welcoming and puts customers at ease without overdoing it. He is very present for everyone but the children love him. The pizzas, and this is the most important, are perfectly made and are plentiful. THANKS ! Awesome !

Dit heeft niets met een Romeinse pizza te maken. Sterker het lijkt meer op een Napolitaanse pizza. Een te hoge rand die bij al onze tafelgasten op veel plekken zwart was. Het deeg was zompig door te veel olijfolie in het deeg. En het deeg was te zout doordat het te kort in de koeling had gerezen. Hier weten ze niet wat pizza pakken is. Verder lang wachten tussen de gangen. De desserts kwamen uit 2 verschillende keukens/plaatsen. Waardoor 2 mensen nog niets hadden terwijl de rest al klaar was. Al het eten is te vet en te veel olie. Verder verschrikkelijk als er meerdere honden in de zaak worden toegelaten. Bah

Well then, I actually wanted to keep this restaurant a secret, but it doesn't deserve that. Highly recommended, this pizzeria! Only pizza, ex starters and desserts. Not your average Hawaii pizza, but very tasty, original pizza with a thin base. Prices are very reasonable for the fresh ingredients and the service is always friendly and prompt. Don't tell anyone!😊

Gezocht op een pizzeria met houtskool-oven. Hebben tijdens een recente motorvakantie diverse pizza's uitgeprobeerd. Deze zaak geeft hoog op van hun deeg en dat kunnen wij bevestigen en de ingrediënten waren niet minder. Kortom topkwaliteit pizza's met prima toetjes en een uitstekende Ristretto tot besluit. Jammer dat we een tijdje moesten wachten, personeelstekort?

Great pizzas. Large crowds and relatively few staff mean that it takes a relatively long time before orders can be placed. This is over after 8:00 PM.

The pizzas are always delicious, with fresh ingredients and a perfect crust. It's our go-to spot for family meals, and my daughter absolutely loves it here. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, making it a great experience every time. Highly recommend if you're looking for a cozy place with amazing pizza!

A cozy place with very friendly staff. The pizzas are really delicious. No standard pizzas, but something really different. My grandson, a real pizza eater, gave perhaps the best compliment. He said he had never eaten such a delicious pizza before! 👌 And that, while he has actually eaten them all over the world. Cheers and see you next time.

The salami pizza had no tomato sauce but only cheese. The margarita was covered in some kind of tomato/cheese mix sauce and had NO recognizable ingredients such as basil or tomato slices or mozzarella. Both pizzas are not what you expect, while the prices are 'normal', namely around 15 for a takeaway pizza. Dry and very disappointing. Only the dough base was actually just good and thin. I was helped very kindly, but I won't be getting pizzas here anymore.

Spent a day at Plaswijck Park, but parked right in front of the door at the pizza bakers. Then I said as a joke, otherwise we'll eat here. That's what it ended up being. It was chaotic and busy upon arrival, so it took a little longer. Management apologized for that, after that everything went very smoothly. Immediately ordered 2 pizzas for the kids while drinking. When the drinks arrived we were given our own choices. As mentioned, the kids had their pizzas quickly and they were allowed to cool down for a while and we were all able to satisfy our appetite at the same time and in peace. Service is super friendly, food tastes good and not standard. Drinks are Italian in nature. Definitely worth a meal!

Full ball of burrata was not included when picked up, everything was cold when we got home. After calling they said 'you can come pick it up'. This was not possible for me. Didn't even get an apology, so for 16 euros I got a pizza with a few slices of zucchini and a few tomatoes.

Nice and cozy place. Good and tasty food and only 3 stars. The pizzas were good, I prefer classic pizzas. Here the pizzas are more fancy, not my thing.

It's a nice place to go out with the family on a sunny day

Heerlijke pizza's in een leuke omgeving. We hadden de pizza caprese en de pizza spinaci. Heerlijke bodem met goede kwaliteit ingredienten erop. Dat proef je terug. Voor een dessert hadden we geen tijd maar denk dat die ook best lekker zijn hier. Kom zeker nog eens terug.

Delicious pizza picked up tonight! We received a hospitable welcome and to wait a while, I was offered a drink of my choice. Pizza was ready quickly and still nice and warm after arriving home. Top restaurant!

Al meerdere malen bij deze pizzabakkers gegeten en altijd nette service en heerlijke pizza's, en dat terwijl ik normaal helemaal geen fan ben van pizza! Ze weten mij iedere keer weer te verrassen. Ook met een groep maken ze er altijd weer een hele gezellige avond van en staat er een mooie lange tafel klaar.

De pizza's zijn verrukkelijk! De bediening is zo vriendelijk en hulpzaam; ze maken een leuk praatje met je en beantwoorden al je vragen. De service is ook uitstekend; er zijn geen lege glazen op tafel. Dit is een fantastische plek voor een gezellig diner!

Wat een leuk en gezellig pizza restaurant is dit zeg!! Bij binnenkomst werden we enthousiast ontvangen door één van de serveerster en mochten we zelf een plekje uitzoeken waar we wilden zitten. De menukaart is Italiaans gerelateerd, we love it. Vooraf een geweldige borrelplank besteld en de gastheer wist daar een heerlijke wijn bij te serveren. De pizza keuze is reuze en weer eens wat anders dan de reguliere pizza's. Elke maand verzinnen ze een andere pizza die niet op de kaart staat. Kortom, de place to be in Schiebroek!! Wij zijn om en komen zeker vaker zo'n heerlijke pizza eten.

We come to this place on a regular basis with 2 kids but today we were very disappointed. Our order got somehow initially lost and of course this can happen. When the order has been taken the second time, we waited 1 hour for a pizza which with hungry kids was a nightmare. We asked twice if kids could get something while we are waiting for pizza and we were told that there was nothing available. What kind of restaurant doesn't have anything available to eat on the spot? This was a very unpleasant experience.

The Parmesan cheese mentioned on the ordered pizza was very little/economical, or you had to order separately for a fee, the crust edge of the pizza was much too hard.

Zondag vijf pizza's opgehaald. In Berkel en Rodenrijs zit geen goede pizzeria waar je kan afhalen maar dit gaan we zeker vaker doen. Mooie dunne bodem en smaakvolle verse ingredienten. Vriendelijk geholpen ook.

Hele mooie zaak, mischien wel de leukste uit de buurt? Lekkere eten, kindvriendelijk en hele vriendelijke eigenaren en medewerkers. Dit zijn zaken die je steunt en hoort te steunen als localo. We hebben er zelf de verjaardag van mijn zoontje gedaan en ik kom er graag!

Pizza afgehaald - vegan in mijn geval. Bij online bestellen geen vegan optie te kiezen, alleen ingrediënten te bewerken. Daarom opmerking bij de bestelling geplaatst, welke goed gelezen en behandeld was. Ik kreeg dus precies waar ik om had gevraagd - en dat met een brede lach! Erg fijne plek met vriendelijk personeel en goed eten. Zeker een aanrader!

Geilste Pizza ever, super freundliches personal, mega!!

Super goede pizza’s, leuk restaurant met terras. Het personeel is ook vriendelijk. Alleen duurt het op de een of andere manier altijd een tijd voor je hun aandacht hebt om te bestellen. We hebben de laatste paar keer te lang moeten wachten om te bestellen of om überhaupt de kaart te krijgen, terwijl het personeel niet super druk was. Kwestie van beter opletten/ rondkijken. Het lekkere eten maakt veel goed!

Een echte Italiaanse pizza. Geen verschil met pizza's die ik de twee weken tevoren gegeten heb in Italië, alleen de prijs was twee zo hoog, maar dat is in Nederland nu normaal geworden. .

Verrassend lekkere pizza, spontane bediening

Heel vriendelijk personeel en ook de eigenaar is heel erg aardig. Het eten was heerlijk en goed van kwaliteit. We werden er niet weg gekeken en dat zie je bij andere pizzeria's weleens anders. Hier moet je zeker een keertje meer komen. Krijg je geen spijt van.

Nice loungie music, not too loud. Fantastic Aperol spritz. Maybe the best one I had out of Italy. Surely the best Dutch one I had so far. Bruschetta was very nice, I had the classic tomato and a Coppa variant(that changes depending on what you get on your main dish, I was told) The Copa was really good. You can tell they source their meatwares from a good Italian source. I had a monthly special , pizza canibale. A fennel salami, a spicy salami and crumbled sausage and a bit of red onion with tomato sauce and mozarella. The Coppa had me at a level of expecting good, and that pizza delivered. Crispy in all the right places, super tasty dough with a super crispy edge. I wish it would've lasted longer. (Kidding, the size was perfect) The Panna cotta with red berry sauce was just SO smooth and JUST perfect. Also very child friendly. Accessible by wheelchair, but the normal toilets are in the basement (very clean) I'm not sure if they have an alternative on the ground floor. No pictures of food, too busy eating, but on the way out I found the wine cellar. Which was originally a bank vault. How cool is that.
