The food is tasty, it's just a shame that as a single person you can't order from Smulshop anymore because of the ridiculously high minimum delivery fee of 25 euros per place... ordering is ridiculous these days.. I'm better off making it myself, all restaurants to the goddamn🤣

Topgasten have known them for 20 years. Always a laugh with those guys. Kind of like half-social workers sometimes with the lowlifes from the pub and those smart-aleck students from next door. 10 for diplomacy!

Can only match what everyone else has said. Ordered through delivery app and waited over 90mins for my order. Every time I rang the owner just hung up the phone after one rude sentence. Effectively stole from us. Please avoid!

Truly the best croquettes I've ever had. And since this month, a brand-new, ultramodern deep fryer has been in operation, ensuring all dishes are cooked to the second. Unique for Leiden and the surrounding area.

I ordered fries and gyros here tonight. Upon delivery, I opened them and found the fries literally raw, along with overcooked, reheated gyros without any sauce. I called immediately, and they answered with "Hello?". When I complained, they said, "Oh man, you have extra meat, garlic sauce is on your meat, and my fries are delicious!" I went to enjoy myself, and they hung up on me! And all that for 16 euros for fries and gyros!!! Sorry, but I expected more than raw fries and overcooked/reheated gyros. Never again for me! Smulshop!

This is a shop full of scammers. I paid €23 through Uber Eats, €15 of which I paid online, and the rest (€8) in cash. After waiting almost an hour, I called the shop and was told they wouldn't deliver the order for €8. The order was accepted on Uber Eats, but it was never delivered. Scammers.

Great place. Friendly owner. The food is absolutely delicious. Wide selection and great prices. And the opening hours are fantastic.

For starters, the food was poorly packaged, resulting in several items of clothing no longer being considered clean. The meal we as a community had been so excited about turned out to be a deeply disappointing display. It was delicious, though. Yum yum 👍

Placed an order for delivery for €29. Result: raspberries that I doubt had even been in the fat. Regular fries that were upside down in the packaging. Goulash croquettes that were undercooked and squashed in the packaging. Cheese soufflé and nasi slice undercooked. All snacks crammed into a single plastic container. Strange, because you pay €0.10 per snack in plastic surcharge. Order delivered by Max Verstappen, and if I ever consider euthanasia, I'll order from them.

I waited 2 HOURS for my food, 2 fcking hours. Truly incredible. After waiting an hour I called them and they haven't even started making my food. Truly incredible

The veal croquette looked like it had been hit by a bus. This has happened before, but today was especially bad. And all that for €3.20, which is really outrageous. I don't understand how anyone would dare offer their products like that.

The food was lekkkkerr!! - different not only the standard take away food - really delicious!! Staff were super friendly and welcoming and the food was soooo fast and good value for money !! Thank you!!

Today I placed an order for the first time and within 15 minutes (I think even ten) my food was there! Hot, crispy fries and very generous portions. I will definitely order here more often.

A good place with friendly staff. They affectionately call all the students living in the apartment building next door ‘Buurman’ or ‘Buurvrouw’. Also a very fast service!

Delicious shaslick. Fries perfect. As a compensation for the wait we got a chocolate gift. Recommended!

On Friday evening, May 17, I had a terrible experience with this place. The first delivery was barely correct (wrong fries and the wrong flavor of milkshake on 2 of the 2 menus). I called about this with a gentleman who only talked about politics, cabinet, policy, etc. Who was willing to resend the correct order, but with the caveat that we, as a customer, were responsible for wasting food ( of the first delivery...which was incorrect) The man made it clear that his own busyness is more important than the interests of his customers.

Top snack bar! Fries were great and everything had plenty of sauce. Recommended

Ordered fries a few times in a row and each time I received dirty old leftover fries and small pieces of rasp fries or fries that had been fried several times. And old leftover fries were added. DO NOT ORDER HERE!!

this is the grossest delivery i’ve ever received. Stop delivering milkshakes and satays if you can’t package them and deliever in acceptable condition. Also extremely slow. I had a long day and this made me cry

Food is super good, especially the pita feta is a favorite of mine. Owners are always super nice and often give some extra fries. I'm a regular customer here!

We ordered food from this restaurant after it was half an hour late for the delivery time. The food arrived without fries. We called the restaurant, and the owner argued that we ordered mashed potatoes, not fries, despite it being clearly stated on the invoice. Eventually, he promised to deliver them in half an hour. However, an hour and a half passed, and we received nothing. Upon calling again, he said he would send them along with an extra item as compensation. After 45 minutes, we finally received the soggy fries along with a broken croquette. Is this acceptable? I would not recommend it at all.

If there is less than 1 star I would have definitely chose it! Wordt service and food! Lied over the time of the order, came 1,5 hours later! Owner insisted that I lied over my order (raspatat) and here attached a photo that I ordered normale friet! Unbelievable!! Never recommended !

Food always great! But today something is different. Arrived cold and the taste is completely different from normal. Sharp white onions too. Is there something different? Recipe changed? No criticism, just wondering. I can't post it anywhere so here it is... Furthermore, it is always delicious, today a little less...

The best and tastiest fries and snacks in all of Leiden. Never been disappointed here. On every visit to the snack bar the service is fantastic. The owners are always up for a nice chat and a laugh. I don't get my fries anywhere else anymore. Recommended! Greeting, Nabil

You can pay for orders via the website, but the phone is not answered. Delivery is up to you or it will still arrive. It's now been an hour and because you don't receive confirmation or contact, you just have to see if anything comes up. I give up. Too bad because the food was very good and now I have to get my money back :(

The Smulshop has been around for a long time and it is actually always tasty. Pita gyros is my favorite here.

Ik woon in de buurt en haal hier regelmatig mijn friet en snacks, het is gewoon een top tent. Nederland heeft dit soort ondernemers nodig.

Ik ga binnenkort verhuizen en ik vind het heel vervelend dat ik dan nooit meer hier kan bestellen. Ik bestel heel vaak broodje gezond hier. Altijd zo lekker! En soms bestel ik kip vleugels erbij of kip nuggets. Ik ga de smulshop echt missen, mijn favo snackbar van thuisbezorgd. Dat meen ik echt. Aardige bezorgers. Lekker eten. Nog nooit problemen mee. Ik raad ze 100 procent aan. ♥️

Echt heerlijk eten altijd bij de smulshop ik kom hier al 11 jaar en altijd tevreden geweest echt een toppers van eigenaren ook houden van een gezellige babbel ik laat het soms ook bezorgen ook helemaal top als het kon had ik oneindig veel sterren gegeven! Zeker een aanrader !

Ik ben al jaren tevreden met Smulshop maar vandaag wilde ik foto's maken van de winkel en met het personeel op de foto. Ze vonden dat grappig en voordat ik het wist stond ik achter de balie Huhhhh ? Echt vriendelijke mensen en daarbij is het eten goed, veel en lekker. Vandaar deze wat uitgebreide review. Ben nog even gaan zitten chillen en de eigenaren zijn mensen die houden van een gezellig praatje. 5 sterren voor Smulshop dus.

Warm en snel aangekomen, en dat van Leiden naar Leiderdorp. Gierig zijn ze zeker niet!!! Altijd blij als hun bezorgen!!!

Best customer service of any snack bar in Leiden. Not to mention that the food is good too; better than average quality for average prices. Though there's better fries and snacks to be found, they don't beat this price/quality/service combo.

Een goede snackbar met zeer vriendelijk personeel wel een nadeel is dat je er met de auto moeilijk kunt komen tenzij je een parkeerplek kan vinden ergen in de omliggende wijk/omgeving.

Het eten is super lekker altijd goed klaar gemaakt en ze zijn super vriendelijk en altijd met een lach 👍🏻

Sinds we zijn verhuist is deze snackbar helaas niet meer op loopafstand. Maar zeker het fietsen waard.

Lekker eten !! Patat Giros is top

Een aantal jaar aan de overkant gewoond, dus hier regelmatig eten gehaald. Altijd super vriendelijk personeel en het eten is nog nooit mis gegaan. Sinds wij verhuist zijn, bestellen we hier nog steeds graag. Bestelling is altijd snel en vers. Losse friet komt heet en knapperig aan, ons favoriet is kapsalon met raspatat!

The fries are passable. As in you want to pass them on. Not so bad you need to feel bad giving it to someone else. But not good enough to really want to eat yourself unless hungry, and no other options are open to you.

Dit zou wel eens de beste kunnen zijn in Leiden.

Vroeger haalde ik hier mijn broodjes, snacks en patat als ik uit school kwam. Nu ik zelf kinderen heb eten we nog steeds de patatjes van de Smulshop wanneer we bij Opa en Oma op bezoek zijn! Het komt zelden voor, maar wanneer er iets niet goed is of vergeten, lossen ze dit altijd keurig op. Toppers zijn het!

Na een avondje drinken moet de maag even aangevuld worden, dat kan hier perfect

Product is normaal goed. Heeft wel veel keus. Binnenkomst is rommelig en smal, het is ook binnen vol en rommelig.
