Delicious food in living room style. The owner was enthusiastic about his business.

Very nice small personal restaurant. We didn't think it was expensive either. Cozy furnishings, soft lighting. Original menu choice, something different from the standard choices in restaurants. Only 2 tips: in our opinion, the chairs could be a little more relaxed and I would prefer to replace another meat dish with a vegetarian dish, so that there are 2 vegetarian choices.

A very good, small and intimate restaurant where the value of good hospitality is of paramount importance. One feels explicitly welcome and at ease. The quality of the dishes served is excellent. Had dinner with four people, each with 3 courses, carefully chosen by everyone, with accompanying wine. Had a wonderful evening program with an excellent price/quality ratio. In summary, I say: Chapeau!

As usual, a delicious meal. Sitting here you wonder why so many restaurants these days "whip up" dishes in the microwave instead of preparing them fresh. Cozy atmosphere with always nice music in the background, attentive service with time for a friendly chat and delicious dishes. Here you still feel like a guest and they understand the word hospitality. Want to grab a quick bite to eat? Then you will be firmly sent away: here we still take the time to cook! Great! We will definitely come back again soon.

The old Peer... now the Stadskamer... had a delicious meal with friends... it exudes atmosphere, we quickly counted 9 tables... no rush because of other customers... good music, nice informal service. Radiate love for the business... And delicious food! Highly recommended... will definitely go back

We had a super tasty and affordable meal here! (3 courses and a bottle of wine) It is a cozy restaurant and the owners are very nice. They work with seasonal products and a changing menu. There is something for everyone (meat/fish/vegetarian). The food is surprising and very good every time. We will definitely come more often!

Wow. What a nice restaurant, great service and delicious food. We ate 5 courses, which were of a nice size, which made it perfect overall. At my table meat, fish and vegetarian were eaten and all fingers were licked. The appetizer was surprising, the pepper soup was delicious and the large dessert was fantastic. So, if you are walking through the center of Gorinchem and want to eat something in a quiet, attractive, homely and good restaurant, look for this Stadskamer. You will be pleasantly surprised.

We came from Oosterhout. The center was quiet and deserted and there was no point in going out for something to eat. One place on the way back to Apeldoorn was Gorinchem. Drove to the center and ended up at this restaurant via Google. We had to wait a while until it opened (5:00 PM) and we spent that time at the skating rink that was there during the Christmas holidays. The owner welcomed us very friendly and hospitable. It is a charming, cozy restaurant. The food is excellent and you get plenty. Lots of fresh vegetables. Deliciously tender steak and pork tenderloin satay. Everything is tasty and prepared with love. We will definitely come back again when we go to Gorkum for a day.

Wij hebben erg lekker gegeten in dit gezellige restaurant! Alles was zeer smaakvol bereid en er waren veel verschillende bijgerechtjes bij het hoofdgerecht. Ook de bediening was erg vriendelijk, we voelden ons heel welkom. Een absolute aanrader!

We hebben met 6 personen gedineerd, Het was zo lekker allemaal, onze gasten waren ook erg verbaasd over de prijs - kwaliteit. Dit restaurant verdient echt een pluim, zulke vriendelijke mensen, echt heerlijk eten en een relaxte sfeer. We komen zeker terug.

Sehr leckeres Essen zum guten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Wir haben etwas länger auf den Hauptgang gewartet, dafür wirkte alles sehr frisch. Das Lokal ist etwas unscheinbar am Rande des Trubels, mit wenigen Plätzen draußen und kleiner Speisekarte. Definitiv weiterzuempfehlen!

Such a nice place. Small, tasteful and cozy. Honest, sophisticated and fresh food. Friendly and attentive service. Perfect if you have a lot to discuss too, you feel like you're at a friend's place who will leave you alone when you need it, but check with on when you need coffee or anything else.

Prijs/ kwaliteit is zéér goed! Vriendelijke bediening. Tafels stonden wel heel dicht bij elkaar.

Onverwacht in dit leuke restaurant terechtgekomen! Leuke, attente bediening. Heel flexibel en makkelijk een toevoeging aan mijn salade. Ook onze kleine hondje mocht meekomen. Heerlijk gegeten tegen een nette prijs. Aanrader!

Lekker gegeten. Geen pretenties, leuke variatie aan groentes op je bord. Meer dan de moeite waard!

Vriendelijke bediening, humor en enthousiasme. De locatie is geweldig en gezellig. De gerechten buiten de proeverij van het voorgerecht waren niet bijzonder. Kipfilet en de Heek kan ik thuis ook klaarmaken, ik wil graag verrast worden en dat ontbreekt er aan. Tip, is Gorinchem echt aan toe, zet een topkok in die tent en je hebt een top restaurant dat elke dag is uitverkocht.

Erg lekker eten en heel vriendelijk. Erg leuk oud gebouw mooi ingericht. Paar kleine punten van aandacht. Aardappeltjes en artisjokken konden beter. Ga volgende keer gewoon weer. 😃

Echt een aanrader. Heerlijk gegeten. De kip die we besteld had was vooral super lekker. En personeel erg vriendelijk. Als we in de buurt zijn komen we vast een keer terug.

Ein sehr schöner Abschluss, Essen mit Freunden in einen kleinen und sehr gemütlichen Restaurant mit hervorragendem Essen von der Vorspeise über den hervorragendem Hauptgericht mit einem ausgezeichneten Nachtisch. Im Hintergrund lief sehr schöne leichte Südamerikanische Strandmusik. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam! Danke für alles, besonders auch für die gemütliche Gestaltung des Restaurants. Das Frühstück ist ebenfalls ein Gaumenschmaus und sehr zu empfehlen! Die Speisekarte wechselt immer wieder und überrascht mit tollen Ideen!
