Ate there for the first time. Delicious food and incredibly friendly service. Felt very welcoming in the homey atmosphere. Definitely worth going back, because you don't find restaurants like this everywhere anymore.

A lovely restaurant where you get good, tasty food for your money. What's really nice is that the owner knows almost all her customers by name. All in all, for a good meal, you should go to De Ster.

After reading all the positive reviews, I decided to order from here. I really enjoyed the dishes (better than I've ever had anywhere else). The lady who served us was also very friendly and helpful. Note: I had previously expressed my concerns about the animal suffering involved in the production of shark fin soup. The owner explained that this isn't the case and that it's made with, among other things, egg whites. Glad to hear it!

Because of the good things I'd heard, I drove all the way from Delft to Poeldijk especially to try this Chinese restaurant. And I'm so glad I did! After receiving very friendly help choosing from the extensive menu, I thoroughly enjoyed several dishes. For example, the homemade spring roll or the delicious duck. The tomato soup I had as an appetizer is also highly recommended. The restaurant's smaller size gives it a very cozy feel, especially combined with the decor and background music. The waitress is attentive, friendly, and welcoming. I recommend everyone to dine here or get takeout!

Delicious food for a good price

We've been coming here for almost 18 years. It's a small restaurant with takeout. It's run by a husband and wife team. The wife runs the restaurant and he runs the kitchen. Consistently the same quality. Very little Vit-sin (Chinese salt). Highly recommended!

First time I ordered takeaway. Second time I dined in, and both times the food was delicious. The owner is also friendly and helpful.

We were received very friendly. We were allowed to choose a table. We received the menu, unfortunately everything was only written in Dutch and we had to have everything translated. However, the lady was very friendly and was able to answer our questions. The starter was very good. The main course was also very good, very large portions, one for two people would have been enough if you also had a starter. There was also a house wine which was also very good. Price-performance ratio was also very good!

Very friendly welcome, we were allowed to choose a place. Help with choosing meals. The food was very tasty, we had baked sweet and sour chicken and chicken with mushrooms. Both visually appealing, nice and hot and very tasty. Again any time.

Small cozy Chinese restaurant in the middle of Poeldijk. Never been inside before, but there are people inside regularly. Collection is often done fairly quickly, but you can also call. Dishes taste good and, as you would expect from a Chinese, large portions. You will always receive friendly help and there is a bench with some books to wait for your order. Parking is free in front of the door.
