Good, old-fashioned service. And that's a very positive thing. A smile and knowledge of the menu and the surrounding area. Nice location, we enjoyed a lovely lunch during a bike ride. Prices are as you'd expect these days.

We had a delicious meal. Everything looked great. The restrooms were a bit dingy...but otherwise, we had a wonderful evening at a cozy round table, where we had privacy.

We had a fantastic family day at Strabrechtse Hoeve in Mierlo. What a beautiful location in a stunning area, truly the ideal place to get together. Host Peter Paul made it all complete: he was fantastic!! Enthusiastic, funny, and a great host. Thanks to him, we all had a wonderful time and lots of laughs. Highly recommended for a successful day with family and friends.

In het verleden gingen we hier geregeld naar toe en we voelden ons welkom. Echter de laatste 2 jaar is de eigenaar niet echt vriendelijk en/of gastvrij. Het plezier is weg bij de eigenaren. Heel jammer en ik hoor dat niet zelden ook van anderen. Wij slaan deze plek voortaan over en gaan elders heerlijk eten of wat drinken, waar je je wel welkom voelt!

We happened to pass by there today on our bike ride. We enjoyed a lovely cold German beer and a delicious lunch, it was very well organized. And the staff were super enthusiastic and friendly 👍. We'll definitely be back.

I was invited to a BBQ hosted by the construction company I work for. Everything was perfectly organized. The service was friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and plentiful, and you certainly won't be short of drinks either. Highly recommended.

Had a wedding. The service for the guests was perfect. Only because the bride and groom frequently changed tables, they were forgotten, especially in the beginning. The BBQ was perfect.

On Sunday, July 6, 2025, I celebrated my 70th birthday at Strabrechtse Hoeve. The party took place in the "Living Room," a beautiful space that also has adjoining spacious terrace, accessible only to our guests. The owner had allowed my family to decorate the room beautifully in advance to reflect the theme of my 70th birthday. The party began at 2:00 PM. I was warmly welcomed by the owner and his staff, after which the guests arrived. We began with coffee and/or tea, or a drink of your choice, accompanied by a delicious petit four (pastry) on which the baker had festively printed "Hooray! Jos 70 Years." After catching up with the guests, it was time for a toast and a glass of Prosecco, where I had the opportunity to give a short speech and welcome my guests to my birthday party and wish them all the best. Afterwards, it was time for drinks, and the friendly staff provided us with plenty of snacks and drinks. At 5:00 PM, an excellent hot and cold buffet was served by the dedicated kitchen staff, which I was able to open under the owner's supervision. It was delicious, and the guests were also very enthusiastic, giving numerous compliments about the delicious food they received. To complete the meal, the chef had created a delicious dessert in the form of an Omelet Siberienne (ice cream cake). This was vanilla ice cream with warm cherries, whipped cream, and warm chocolate sauce, a truly delicious combination. After all this delicious food, we enjoyed a cup of coffee and/or tea, and after 7:00 PM, we said our goodbyes and returned home with a satisfied feeling and fond memories. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff and owner of the Strabrechtse Hoeve for their excellent service, which made this wonderful celebration possible. Jos "70 years young"

I had a high tea here with colleagues, the food was very tasty, a wide choice between cold, warm, savory or sweet. Ingredients to compose a fresh tea yourself. Definitely recommended.

Very nice party location for any kind of party. We were with about 45 people in the "inner garden" and we really lacked nothing. Very hospitable, friendly and thoughtful. Here you are really king as a guest and you are really pampered. Peter Paul and staff thank you very much for the success of our beautiful party, and until next time. A big 1 from me. And preferably no stars at all. If you sit down on the terrace, several employees walked around, but we were simply ignored. The terrace was not even half full by the way. One of us went to the toilet, met 3 employees, she nodded kindly but 2 of the employees just ignored it and 1 turned her head away. It was as if we were completely invisible. We sat there for a while, but because no one looked at us (and we were not in a remote corner or something but in the middle of the terrace) we got up and went somewhere else. So not recommended as far as I'm concerned, customer friendliness is paramount.

Had a nice unexpected lunch with my best friend this afternoon. Luckily there was enough space on the terrace, since we hadn't made a reservation, but we were also a bit late. (2 hours) I had a gluten-free warm brie sandwich and my friend had a salad (large) with salmon. We also had some tea and then I had an ice cream sundae and water. It was really nice sitting there! Nice in the woods so the temperature was also very nice to have!

What a great place this is. In every way. We were welcomed with open arms and even recognized from our visit a week before. The owners are extremely hospitable and warm, something that is no longer self-evident these days. The rest of the service is also cheerful, quick and quick. The menu offers something for everyone. We all three had a meal salad and they were all richly filled and very generous in portion. The French fries are those delicious crispy golden yellow ones, to lick your fingers. And finally: they serve very generous amounts of wine, something they could learn from in Amsterdam ;-) Until next time!

Had a very bad experience here. Owner does not hold the term hospitality in high regard. Norse attitude, while there were enough solutions. This also applies to a large part of the other staff. From now on we will drive further, and that is a shame considering the beautiful location. This location deserves friendly employees.

Mijn man en ik zijn er regelmatig geweest Voor lunch of het diner. Toen vonden wij de eigenaars (man en vrouw) heel vriendelijk overkomen. Erg gastvrij. We hebben er altijd heerlijk gegeten. Daar ben ik gewoon eerlijk in. Tot gisteren met moederdag. Door een misverstand over iets, werd dit niet opgelost door de eigenaren. Dat had naar onze beleving heel makkelijk opgelost kunnen worden. Ipv daarvan werden we zeer onbeschoft behandeld door de eigenaren zelf maar ook door het bedienend personeel. Die overigens ook wel eens een cursus zouden kunnen volgen hoe vriendelijk om te gaan met de klanten. De klant is immers koning! Nooit meer gaan we hier naartoe!

Erg onprettige ervaring. Eigenaar is helaas niet voor reden vatbaar als het gaat om een fout opgevangen reservering. Hier gaan we niet meer heen.

Celebrated my father's birthday yesterday. We reserved the table between 7 and 7:15 PM. We were told at 7:30 PM that the kitchen actually closed at 7 PM. Didn't feel very welcome! Thought it was quite a disappointment! Food price way too expensive for what you get. Anything but hospitable and cordial!

Celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, February 16, with family and friends. We had a toast moment and then a delicious lunch buffet. Everything was taken care of down to the last detail. Yesterday (Saturday 25-01-2025) we had a delicious lunch here for a great price. In my opinion, a beautiful location for a delicious meal and cycling or walking. TOP, we will definitely come back soon.

Delicious food after a winter walk with friends on the Strabrechtse Heide. Great service by owner Peter-Paul himself. No overly extensive menu, but simply well-prepared and beautifully presented, classic dishes. It wasn't busy now, very curious about this Strabrechtse Hoeve on a beautiful summer day!

Baggy, difficult and disappointed. Food cold several times and you pay the top price. Owner is a grump. Unfortunately it wasn't worth our trip there. The Aardborst farm was much better.

Had lunch here today. Wasn't that good, we were one of the first guests there around 12:00. Drinks were served quickly. Service is disinterested and not friendly. Lunch took a long time, then the dishes were cold, my husband had an omelette with way too much truffle mayonnaise on top. The plate was taken back and put back after 2 minutes in the microwave. With even more truffle mayonnaise on top. It came with a ciabatta roll that was completely tasteless, I also had this with my croquettes. Daughter's sandwich was soggy at the bottom and was not very warm. You won't see us here anymore.

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary here last weekend with a group of 40 people in a cozy room in the Strabrechtse Hoeve. We had excellent consultation with the owner in advance and everything was carried out as we had hoped. The high tea was excellent and a day to look back on very fondly, thanks to the staff. Nice terrace, no drinks prices, not friendly service. Drink after the walk on the heath. There was no drinks menu with prices. There is a beer list but no prices. Management is disinterested. After searching there appears to be a wine list on the internet with lower prices than those charged. Foreign. The waiter then asks if they should get the owner (?). Is this a trend in the Dutch catering industry? No longer available prices for drinks and you are no longer a guest but a 'revenue model'. They don't see me there anymore. Once and never again.

Geen drankenkaart met prijzen, zitten alleen in de handcomputer. Dus je kunt ook niet echt kiezen want je weet niet wat ze allemaal hebben. Bediening is ongeïnteresseerd en zit er niet mee. Na zelf zoeken blijken er op internet wel ( lagere) prijzen te staan voor de drank. Vreemd. Hebben ze maar vast de tip opgeteld bij de drankprijs op het terras ?? Nieuw verdienmodel in horeca land NL……

Het was mooi weer. Een fijn terras. Eten was prima. Drinken was ook heel goed. personeel waren vrij jonge meiden die een vriendelijke bejegening nog moeten leren. En naar gelang er gasten waren was het wel langer wachten dan je zou verwachten

Very nice people, delicious food and drinks and a great ambience in the countryside. Nothing more is possible! I was also impressed by the beer selection; I particularly liked La Trappe in the double, triple and quadruple versions. 😀 Absolutely recommended.

Beautiful spot with sunny terrace. Very spacious farm restaurant with many terraces. Fast operation. Located on the cycle route through the Strabrechtse Heide. the Sheepfold. Bird watching hut within walking distance and accessible by wheelchair.

Pleasant spacious terrace with plenty of shaded areas. Delicious iced coffee and ice cream. Good price-quality ratio. Entire terrace non-smoking. Minus for smoking visitors; There is a smoking area, but it is filthy and very unattractive. It's a shame that this isn't better maintained.

Great Amosphere and Service: Highly recommendable, one is arriving with the bicycle directly in front of the restaurant. Choos a place, have a seat and get served. By the way those are verry efficient waitress, who are paying attention on theyre guests and team up together. No matter if you would like to order or want to pay, they're allways there for your good shake. Food: Never mind the drinks, Icecream and fruits in it - just wether fresh from the tree nor local fruits, but refreshing and made with passion. By the way the service is also cleaning up the table as soon as you leave. This way the table is always ready and clean for the next customer. Thank you.

Na een heerlijke fietstocht in de mooie omgeving diner voor 2 op deze mooie locatie met vriendelijke bediening, helaas was bij ons de kok onervaren of ongeïnteresseerd. We namen 2x Biefstuk deze was van binnen bij beide ijskoud, waarschijnlijkzo uit de ijskast hup in de pan, truffelsaus en garnituur ijskoud. Bord was warmer dan het eten.

We were 50-60 people on the back terrace. Delicious Trappist beer and tasty snacks (satay, shrimp, nuts, etc.). Friendly and smooth service.

De eerste opmerking die we kregen was of de kinderen niet in de weg wilde lopen. Toen begon het te regenen en moesten we dus naar binnen en kregen we te horen dat de kinderen bij de tafel moesten blijven of in de serre ( waar we ze niet konden zien 2 en 5 jaar zijn onze kinderen , ze mochten ook niet op en neer lopen ) dit is een erg kindonvriendelijke restaurant, van buiten af ziet het er erg leuk uit! Maar iig niet voor gezinnen!

We went last year for a fantastic Christmas dinner, this year we went for Christmas brunch..... Unbelievable, what a choice; to start, with a soup of your choice, then; all kinds of bread and rolls, with delicious fillings, which you could choose from and also hot food; rice, fries (by the way, the best I know!), potato gratìn and all kinds, meat, fish and shrimps, egg dishes etc. etc. And the icing on the cake was the dessert buffet; unbelievable, I've never seen anything like this before, how fantastic! so many different beautiful, tasty things!! Yep, it was great! Oh, and a very nice Santa Claus came by too!
