De Theeschenkerij in Wijk 01 Noordoost

Good food, perfect environment and great staff.

The tearoom is located on the grounds of the De Dragonder petting zoo. We were there for high tea (via a social deal) and brought the children along, who had a great time playing and watching the animals. We all enjoyed savory and sweet treats.

If you are looking for a cozy and unique place to have lunch, Restaurant Buitenzorg is highly recommended. The restaurant is located in a park and residential area, which makes it a bit difficult to reach by car, but there is plenty of space to park your bike. The staff that operates and cares for the garden and animals comes from the Extraordinary Foundation, which contributes to the cozy and hospitable atmosphere. The restaurant has recently been renovated and this is reflected in the menu. The prices are mid-level, but the quality is high. For only 2.65 euros you can enjoy a delicious coffee that tastes honest and is definitely recommended. I would also like to come back here for lunch. In addition to the restaurant, there is a lot to do at this luxurious petting zoo. There are children's bicycles and scooters, a nice playground and many animals, including alpacas, cows, pigs, goats, chickens and birds. There are also spring flowers, a bee corner and insect hotel. There is plenty of room to run and play, and there is even an AED. The restaurant and facilities are wheelchair friendly, but due to the location, parking by car is a bit more difficult. It is good to see that the restaurant is working sustainably with ten solar panels. The toilet is clean and easily accessible. I expect that most people will stay here for about an hour and a half before happily going home. All in all, Restaurant Buitenzorg is a unique and cozy place that you should definitely visit. The luxurious petting zoo is truly unique and the restaurant is neat and tidy. Definitely give this place a try and enjoy a delicious lunch or a cup of coffee. Very noisy space when crowded. Not ideal for discussing something with a group.

Nice and cozy tent, with a friendly atmosphere. Excellent lunch, nice casual service. Definitely recommended and worth repeating.

It is a super nice small-scale petting zoo, where all the animals can be found. Nice to go for young and old. The children can have fun with all the outdoor vehicles or in the playground. In bad weather there is also a nice play corner inside. Zideris clients work there and they are friendly and happy to help you. Since the renovation, the interior has really been renovated. I regularly go here for a cup of fresh(!) tea and a tasty piece of apple pie. Also had a high tea today and that is highly recommended. Lots of delicious food. Completely satisfied! You'll see me more often! :)

You can sit here in the sun on the terrace, but if the weather does not permit you can also sit inside. Inside it has been completely renovated, and it turned out so beautiful! The play area for the children has also been completely renovated, very nice. We had a delicious lunch here. The pannis were very tasty, as was the sausage roll. You can also sit there with a cup of coffee/tea and a pastry. Definitely recommended!
