Today I enjoyed a truly delicious onion soup! The flavor was perfectly balanced: rich, savory, and with those wonderfully soft onions that melded beautifully with the melted cheese on the crispy bread. A dish that truly warms you from the inside out. The service was also extremely friendly and enthusiastic. All questions were answered professionally, which immediately conveyed a sense of hospitality. This is the kind of place where you come back not only for the food, but also for the service. I will definitely return here to see if the quality remains at this high level—although I have no doubt it will! Addition August 27, 2025: As previously mentioned, I was convinced that the quality would remain high—and that was proven again! During my recent visit, even at a busy time, the onion soup still tasted delicious and the quality remained top-notch. Furthermore, the staff deserves a huge compliment. Despite the busyness, they took the time to answer my questions about allergies professionally and kindly. This not only shows competence, but also genuine care for the guests.

Lovely, peaceful patio in the courtyard. I ordered a fish salad, which didn't contain the promised shrimp and salmon, but only salmon. When I mentioned this, the waitress added, "But the tiger shrimp are very small, you know...." I had to pay the full price after I mentioned it. I'll pass it on to the chef. Very poor service.

On the edge of Heerlen city center, behind the cafes of Pancratiusplein, lies this peaceful, cozy, and affordable restaurant. I went there for the first time today on someone's recommendation. The food was delicious. The hospitality and service were superb. This is truly a new restaurant for me, and one I'll definitely be visiting again. 5 stars. This review is from 3 weeks ago. Just been there again. I had the menu of the day. What a disgrace! The soup was only half a bowl. The main course was a baby portion. Dessert was a very small glass of pudding. 1 star. 9.75 sounds cheap, but for what little you get, it's very expensive. This review is from 2 years ago. Today, June 17, 2025, I went there again. The waitresses were very friendly. I wanted the lumberjack schnitzel, but without a fried egg (because I hate eggs), and asked if I could have extra bacon instead. That wasn't a problem. It was delicious, as was the soup of the day (potato soup) and the dessert (peach melba dessert). The warm weather/sun didn't bother me either. Outside, they have pergolas completely covered with branches and plants. It's lovely to sit under them, and beautiful. 5 stars for this experience. Today, August 9th at 5:30 PM, I went there. I was turned away because I didn't have a reservation and, according to the dark-skinned woman, there were no more tables available. This was NOT true; I could CLEARLY see that several tables outside were still EMPTY. The dark-skinned woman clearly didn't feel like working, because she was already sighing while I was waiting at the waiting area. There's also a lot of empty space in the courtyard, so put tables there. I'm now at 6:00 PM at a competitor's restaurant, where I ARE welcome. This review gets 0 stars. Therefore, only 2 stars as an average across all reviews combined.

De Twee Gezusters is a restaurant for the average person. The menu is good and well-organized. For an affordable meal, choose the daily menu. For €10.75, you get a three-course meal. This includes soup, a main course, and a choice of dessert or coffee.

Delicious food, nice service and very beautiful in general with great views. To notice vegetarian and vegan food is available, gluten free also, they have gluten free bread and most of the food can be changed for gluten free.

What a nice, beautiful brasserie with a great goal to prevent loneliness (of different target groups). The à la carte menu is great! Just like the price. Every day a changing 3-course daily menu for 10.75. How is this possible! What a FANTASTIC concept, chapeau! What a nice atmosphere. We had a delicious meal there.

We actually went for the 3-course menu, but because we were there at 3:30 PM and apparently the 3-course menu deal only started at 4:00 PM, we were only allowed to choose from the entire menu from the main courses, which were not many, and the salads. The salads were about €15 each, which I think is ridiculously expensive. I asked for a portion of fries with a snack for my son and then they indicated that they also had children's menus and that they should be in the menu booklet. I indicated that I didn't see anything there, then the staff checked this and I was right that it wasn't there. Because I received a phone call and therefore walked outside into their courtyard and picked up a cigarette but had not yet lit it, the staff from there immediately came outside and told me that smoking was not allowed, which I had not done at all. So we had to go down a flight of stairs outside the courtyard and it was ridiculous to smoke somewhere else. The atmosphere was 0, not cozy, the staff half of the time with their noses in the air and boring and cold. When we arrived there was no one in the restaurant inside or outside to eat, I now understand why. I had very high expectations for this place, but all in all I was very disappointed and I will never go here again

We had dinner here on February 9 and opted for the daily menu. That day steak was on the menu. When ordering, I clearly indicated that I wanted my steak well done. While eating, I noticed that both the texture and taste of the meat were strange. I had no trouble pulling the meat apart, and the piece looked completely different from my partner's. He also tasted my dish and confirmed that it did not appear to be steak. I then pointed this out to the male server, who responded with: "You do have steak, but of course it tastes different." Yet it was very clear that this was a completely different piece of meat. No apology was given nor was the chef consulted to check this. When paying, the server asked in an annoying tone: "Did you like the dessert?" It's a shame that we were left with such a bad impression of our visit in this way.

I eat the daily menu (3 courses) here 3 to 4 times a week. A different menu every day of the week. Excellent soup of the day. A very varied main course and dessert. Service friendly and attentive!!!

We regularly eat the daily menu here. Always changing menu (Except on the On Friday fish is served, but even this changes.) I personally think the price-quality ratio is very good, because the food is always fresh and as a daily menu you get a cup of soup, a dish and a dessert for 9.75 pp. Parking is easy at the adjacent qpark.

We were on site with approximately 70 seniors for a pleasant afternoon. In a room suitable for 40 people, approximately 60 seniors had to take a seat. Approximately 10 people had to take a seat in the hallway. The unqualified young staff is probably not managed, which means that the snacks are always available. are conveniently delivered to the first tables near the kitchen. It became quite warm and there was little walking space between the tables. It is incomprehensible that they make such a blunder with all their catering experience. Fortunately, the loud bass background music was silenced. This way we could hear each other somewhat again. After all, it was an introductory afternoon!!! It is now a month later and the owner does not respond to this review through his own response (maybe there were extenuating circumstances). No, he easily calls the person who had reserved the room but had nothing to do with my review.chapeau .!Dear owner. You should know that the safety of (certainly) seniors is at risk when you place 60 people in a Fire brigade approved space for 40 people. My review was not intended to be negative, learn from this and do something with it

It’s good, without being haute cuisine. The place is very special, a former Carmelite abbey. The price is very advantageous: 38 euros for 3 services for 2 people. The friendly service. And Heerlen is an excellent surprise as a city. I recommend

Wij aten hier met 3 volwassen en 1 kind van 5 jaar. Bediening is heel aardig en denkt met je mee. Hoewel er geen kindermenu is, maakte de kok een bordje met friet, een frikandel en appelmoes. De volwassenen aten het dagmenu. Voor een tientje krijg je een soepje, een hoofdgerecht en een toetje. Voor dat geld kun je thuis niet koken. Het eten was heerlijk. Al met al al een aanrader.

The two sisters is located on the edge of Heerlen center in the Luciushof. You can eat inside or in the beautiful patio garden. You don't get much of the busy center. There is a lunch menu with market-based prices. The three-course menu, on the other hand, is dirt cheap.

The attractive terrace is especially nice, under the pergola. The food is not expensive and there are daily menus for less than 10 euros. Friendly service. In the middle of the city but an oasis of peace.

Hidden gem on the outside of the city center, in an old monastery next to a parking garage. When walking by you wouldn't notice the place, but if you are looking for inexpensive, simple quality food, this is the place to visit. The "twaalf uurtje" is definitely worth it. They also serve a day menu at a very competitive price. Staff is friendly and helpful. Also has a nice courtyard, for when the weather is better. Would recommend reserving.

After a visit to the Dutch Mining Museum, we went here for a bite to eat with friends on a Sunday afternoon. I had reserved a table here online in advance. I had parked the car in the adjacent Q-Park Putgraaf parking garage. Brasserie De Twee Gezusters is a special restaurant. First of all because it is located in an old monastery on the edge of the center of Heerlen, but also because you can enjoy a 3-course meal here all week long for the price of €9.75. Where else do you find that! The quality of the 3-course menu is at the level of 'home cooked'. Not a culinary masterpiece, but a decent and, at least for most of us, tasty meal. The menu also includes a number of 'classics' such as fries with pickled meat and a lumberjack schnitzel. Although these are at a higher price level than the regular 3-course menu, they remain very affordable. So if you find yourself in Heerlen for work or leisure, it is definitely worth visiting Brasserie De Twee Gezusters for lunch or dinner.

Helaas was het pasteitje verre van lekker. Volgens mij was er iets mis gegaan. Smaakte niet naar pasteitje en mega zout. Zoo jammer want het zag er zooo heerlijk en goed verzorgd uit! Ik kon het wel omruilen voor de soep. De bloemkool-broccolisoep was na wat peper en zout toegevoegd te hebben wel enigzins lekker. Mijn eetpartner vond hem wél lekker. Het was wel lekker vertoeven in de tuin. Helaas is er geen parkeergelegenheid wanneer het druk in de stad is.

Prima locatie, midden in de stad, op een (oud) kloosterplein. Het stadsrumoer is onhoorbaar. Gezellig zitten en/of naar een optreden van een vereniging kijken of luisteren op de binnenplaats. Bij slechts weer goede binnenruimtes. Eten eenvoudig, doch gezond en goedkoop. Een aanrader, ook voor een gezellig en lekker menuutje in de eetzaal.

Heel mooie zaak met heel mooi binnenterras alleen spijtig dat je niet op het terras moogt roken of een gedeelte ervan....ze zouden desnoods een stuk van de binnenkoer een paar tafeltjes zetten voor rokers. Het eten en drinken was heel lekker. En het personeel vriendelijk en behulpzaam

Eten was op zich oké..zeker voor die prijs..3 gangen voor 9 euro! Alleen de warme groenten ( erg weinig) was diepvries! Biefstuk was rauw, bloederig..weinig frieten... géén rauwkost erbij..en zakjes met mayonaise!

Zondag 25 juni. Varkenshaas was droog en taai, de groenten waren te ver doorgekookt. De tomatensoep en dessert was Oke. We waren met een groep van 12. We werden de deur uitgekeken. Het was een grote achteruitgang t.o.v. de vorige keren. De baas was er niet, dus als de kat van huis is dansen de muizen op tafel.

Bij de twee gezusters gaan lunchen in de binnentuin. Ze hebben prachtig dichtgegroeide pergola's waar je lekker in de schaduw kunt eten. Zit je toch liever in het zonnetje dan is dit geen probleem, ook kun je binnen in het restaurant plaatsnemen. Parkeren kan gemakkelijk bij q park putgraaf welke letterlijk om de hoek ligt. Het eten was lekker en de service was goed en vriendelijk. Zeker een aanrader om heen te gaan!

Hier kan je simpel gaan eten voor een hele schappelijke prijs. Het 3 gangen dagmenu kost maar 9,75 euro en is elke dag weer anders. Vandaag een soepje, varkenshaas met saus en broccoli en een pudding met slagroom of koffie als afsluiting.

Tolle Lokalität in einem Klosterbau. Wir wollten dort essen gehen, hatten unseren Mini !! - Chihuahua dabei, so gross wie eine kleine Hauskatze, jedoch wurden wir weggeschickt weil Hunde verboten sind 🤔🥴 Das wurde jedoch auf deren website nicht angegeben, also 15 km umsonst gefahren 😎😱
