I had a fantastic party for my 50th birthday. The service was super friendly, the host and hostess were wonderful, and thanks again for the fantastic evening. Everything was taken care of down to the last detail!

Fast service at a really beautiful setting. The atmosphere is perfect. We arrived on a Sunday morning no booking for coffee and cake. Had the best chai in town and friendly service. Might be my new favourite place and will definitely visit more frequently.

Beautiful old Mill turned in an elegant restaurant. May be wise to make reservations. We lucked out and we're able to get a table for dinner on a Saturday night. Free parking too.

The price-quality ratio was good. But the quantity wasn't. I'd never had such a small carpaccio salad as a main course and dessert for that price.

This restaurant is located next to an old watermill. The location is beautiful, and weather permitting, you can eat outside on the veranda. The staff speaks English and is very helpful, and the service is prompt. Considering that lunch in the Netherlands is typically sandwich-based, the menu is satisfactory. Good value.

Nice to be in the spirit of Vincent van Goch

A great place to book as a couple or with a group. Except for ordering and paying via a QR code on your table. Everything can be done with your phone these days. But management hasn't yet addressed the question of whether this is a good way to do it. You're already in a good conversation and have to order drinks on your phone. Before you even know how it works??? It's completely ridiculous. The location is truly perfect. Definitely worth going back with my wife. We didn't eat anything, so I don't know.

Ten of us went for dinner. Due to the size of our group, we couldn't dine à la carte, but only opted for the three-course menu. Choices included meat, fish, or vegetarian for both the starter and main course. We chose everything, two or more times. And everything was considered excellent. The dessert was also delicious. A great location, excellent food, friendly, efficient, and efficient service. In short: we'll be back!

We had a wonderful meal, the three-course menu was perfect for us. The tenderloin was perfect, as were the vegetables that came with it. The fact that we could eat outside made it even more special. A pleasant experience indeed.

Historic location, and until 6:00 PM, there's also a shop at the entrance where you can buy regional products, including honey. A lovely terrace exudes a romantic atmosphere. The Watermill is also a great starting point for lovely walks.

We got there unplanned while we were on a bicycle trip and got hungry. They have a wonderful garden restaurant surrounded by green fields and a small lake. There are couple of sitting areas outside. One with shade and one under the sun. The food is delicious, the coffee is great and the staff are so kind and welcoming. We’d love to visit again . Thank you!

Heerlijke familie lunch met perfecte bediening en heerlijke 12 uurtjes. Met prachtig warm weer en een verkoelende wind onder de grote tent overkapping. Ook heerlijk rosé erbij !

Prachtige locatie, met een heel fijn en gedeeltelijk overdekt terras. We waren er op een extreem warme dag, maar op het terras was het helemaal perfect met een koel drankje en de lekkere huisgemaakte orancello-cake! De bediening is uiterst vriendelijk en gastvrij. Het gebeurt zelden dat je je zo welkom voelt in een horeca gelegenheid. En helemaal mooi is, dat een locatie die Vincent van Gogh schilderde zo prachtig bewaard is gebleven! Alle lof.

While there were more than 10 (if not more) tables free after 13:00, we were immediately shown the door by the lady upon arrival. She could have also asked how long we wanted to stay, for example. For us, therefore, once and never again.

Al vaker bezocht ik dit restaurant, maar de ervaringen zijn te wisselend. De locatie is mooi, maar zo jammer dat de tafels op het terras niet op het water uitkijken. Want juist dat maakt deze locatie zo onderscheidend. Salade was prima. Maar wat een beroerde bediening door de heer: om werkelijk alles moesten we vragen: aperitief, de kaart, de koffie, de rekening. Gezellige avond gehad maar dat lag beslist niet aan de service.

Lekker geluncht met mijn 2 nichtjes op een gezellig terras met vriendelijk personeel. Het personeel was heel behulpzaam met advies geven over de lunch.

On a quiet Sunday afternoon around 16:00 we sat down on the terrace. When we entered we indicated what we wanted to eat. However, we had to wait a long time before we could order anything. Too long for how many people were sitting there and how much staff was walking around. Because it was not possible to order from the lunch menu (until 15:00) or dinner menu (after 17:00), we went for some snacks. We ordered bread with dip, among other things, we got about two teaspoons of each dip, really far too little. So we ordered extra dip without bread. The homemade ice tea was delicious.

Sat in the sun on the drinks terrace. Ordering was done with QR code and worked fine. Had a great time reading in the sun while enjoying a snack and a drink

Today I ordered a Brabanconne menu (asparagus), but unfortunately, the potatoes were rock hard. Not cooked. I sent the dish back and 10 minutes later I got the plate back with brown, very overcooked potatoes, tough ham, bland asparagus and no egg (which the chef forgot to put back on the plate after the microwave, I think). I didn't eat it and had the full plate collected. A cappuccino was offered, on the house, but my appetite had disappeared. Moreover, my table companions had already finished their salad. Unfortunately, the dish at € 27.50 was still on the bill. When I protested about it, they were only willing to take half the price off. Still too expensive for something that was inedible and that I hadn't eaten.

Friendly service, but the food was nothing special. The asparagus dish in particular was mediocre. (as much as 27.50) The waiting time for a lunch dish was over an hour and fifteen minutes. That in itself is of course unacceptably long. Very unfortunate and it also turned out to be lukewarm!! We opted for 3 asparagus menus and a Diamant Hare. : Also appeared to have forgotten 1 asparagus menu. This was served when the rest of the table was ready. After we had asked for it ourselves because it did not arrive. This was reserved at the correct temperature, apparently straight from the kitchen. But that was more than 10 minutes later... As a gesture we received a cup of coffee on the house with a chocolate. Neat, but with a disappointing lunch for over 200 euros for 4 people. This really has to be better, especially for this price!

Wel vriendelijke bediening, maar het eten was niet bijzonder.Vooral het asperge gerecht matig De wachttijd voor een lunchgerecht, was ruim een uur en kwartier. Dat is op zichzelf natuurlijk al onacceptabel lang. Erg jammer en het bleek ook nog nog lauw!! We hadden gekozen voor 3 aspergemenus en een Diamant Haas. :Bleek ook 1 asperge menu vergeten.Deze werd geserveerd toen de rest van de tafel al klaar was. Nadat we er zelf om gevraagd hadden omdat deze uitbleef. Deze werd wel op de juiste temperatuur gereserveerd, kennelijk rechtstreeks uit de keuken. Maar dat was ruim 10 minuten later…..We kregen als gebaar een kop koffie van het huis met een bonbon. Netjes, maar al met een teleurstellende lunch voor toch ruim 200 euro met 4 personen. Dit moet echt beter zeker voor deze prijs!

Super nice location... make a reservation. I had goat cheese salad which was fine, not special, nice bread, small minus, butter was still far too hard, not spreadable... club sandwich was super tasty and worth repeating... we had to wait quite a long time for drinks, but you are sitting there so nicely that that is not a problem at all. Grab your bike, reserve it and have a wonderful afternoon in a beautiful place

This brasserie has a special way of serving... They have 2 terraces: 1 for lunch and 1 for drinks. If you sit on the drinks terrace you can order a snack board or something else small such as tapas, but not lunch. If you still want to have lunch, you have to move to the other terrace 🤷🏻‍♀️🤔 Don't really understand the logic of this and you're just scaring people away. Anyway, maybe one day I will hear and understand it. In any case, the ladies in the service couldn't tell. It's a shame, because it really is a nice terrace where you can sit and relax. The Aperol was delicious by the way 👌🏻

Delicious food in a nice, beautiful and quiet atmosphere

Heerlijke lunch, alleen vroeg ik bij binnenkomst een glas water om medicatie in te nemen, keken ze al moeilijk bij, ton ik een andere drank erbij bestelde werd het goed gekeurd, maar niet gebracht. Extra om gevraagd en kreeg toen een glas lauw water. Bij de lunch ontbraken de garnalenkroketten, ook extra om moeten vragen. Matige service voor toch een behoorlijke prijs

Met 11 personen wezen eten in de Brasserie. Ons was gevraagd van te voren voor- en hoofdgerechten door te geven. Bij aankomst bleek één van hoofdgerechten niet geleverd te kunnen worden( kan gebeuren) Drie personen wilden drie varianten van pate op brioche, werd geserveerd met vers 👍stokbrood ipv brioche,zonder excuses. Vier maal roodbaars menu was niet warm, minuscuul stukje vis, zonder peper/zout/kruiden. Stukjes gestoomde groenten, rijst en bijeengeschraapte saus leek het. We gaven aan dat het eten niet op temperatuur was, zou worden doorgegeven aan de keuken, maar er kwam geen reactie op. Pas toen de borden werden opgehaald werd er nog iets over opgemerkt maar geen actie. Friet was voor het hoofdgerecht kwam al geserveerd. Degene die kaasfondue had besteld kreeg zo weinig fondue dat na drie stukjes brood hierin te hebben gedoopt, de bodem van het pannetje al zichtbaar was. Na een opmerking hierover kwam iom een nieuw pannetje fondue. Dit kwam tot ons ongenoegen twee maal op de rekening. Na protest en overleg met leidinggevende mocht er een dessert van € 8,25 van de rekening af. Leidinggevende kwam niet zelf, bediening moest het maar oplossen. Spijtig voor het vriendelijke meisje. Er stond een glas port op de rekening, was niet besteld en niet geserveerd. Al met al een reden om nooit meer terug te komen.

First we didn't all get the starters, but ate a forgotten one. Then they came to serve wine, which we had not ordered. Then a very long wait for main course. Other tables had their food earlier. When we got it, the 3 plates with food on them were lukewarm to cold, so back to the kitchen. If they had put it in the oven, the steak and duck breast fillet would have dried out completely and turned gray. So all in all, it didn't go well the second time! Ask them what they can do, so we had to find the solution, but not! Just think of it yourself, we said. We received a 10 euro discount per ordered dish, which was not good. Unfortunately not anymore for us!

What a worthless place, other reviews talk about the location, but we come for the food, it was cold and you couldn't eat it, it was so spicy and very little spiced (maybe that was an advantage) because it was inedible. If I may give some advice? look for a chef and send those interns home, this will cost you your name. Not recommended, don't go there.

We zijn met 2 stellen een hapje gaan eten in dit sfeervolle etablissement. We worden vriendelijk ontvangen door het personeel en van een drankje voorzien. We bestuderen de kaart, waarbij het moeilijk was om een goede keuze voor het hoofdgerecht te maken. Uiteindelijk bestellen mijn vrouw en ik een biefstuk (ik alleen met frietjes en truffelsaus). De biefstuk was niet groot, maar wel erg mals en smakelijk. Jammer vond ik dat ondanks dat ik een "kale" biefstuk bestelde, wel extra voor frietjes moest betalen (???). Een ander minpunt was de temperatuur binnen. Het was er onaangenaam koud. Nadat we gevraagd hadden de gas openhaard aan te maken was het iets beter, maar nog niet behagelijk. De voor en hoofdgerechten waren overigens weer wel prima. Al met al geen slechte score, maar wel wat puntjes die aandacht vragen.

Beautiful place with a great atmosphere. The food was ok and the servers were nice. But the timing was horrible! We arrived at six as reserved (7 ppl). It took almost an hour to get the starters and children's meal. Then another hour for the mains. Of course by then the kids were getting tired and "climbing up the walls". We ate in a hurry and left. No compensation was offered. Only a faint apology after we asked what was going on. We won't be going back.

Op deze prachtige locatie een teleurstellende eet-ervaring. Voorgerecht 3 soorten pate; dan ben je snel klaar als kok…helaas zo koud geserveerd dat t ten koste ging van de smaak. De garnalenkroketjes waren heerlijk… de bloemkool creatie maar heel gewoontjes Het hoofdgerecht uit het keuzemenu was het dieptepunt!🙈. Pasta met ragout van rund, champignons en kaas…. Helaas 4x besteld….Tavolo Desert was prima , maar eveneens geen eigen fabrikaat; koffie compleet ging wel. Jammer dat op zo’n fantastische locatie zo’n bedroevend slecht gerecht wordt aangeboden. Voor de prijs van het menu verwacht je iets home-made en geen kant-en-klaar sligro-aanbod.

Super fijne sfeer met historische waarde. Fijn personeel, behulpzaam . Helaas dat de kwaliteit van het eten toch achter blijft bij zo’n mooie locatie

Far too ambitious. Chic menu that didn't make any sense. No toast with starter (it was on the menu), cheese fondue was lumpy and had to be scooped out with a fork. And so little that we still had almost all our bread and ate the vegetables. Fish dish ice cold in 3 minutes, Tarte Tatin puff pastry undercooked, and cheese board with a note with the names in order, they said special. Cheese was on it in the wrong order. How do you get it done? And then sitting next to a large fireplace that had to be left off because the heating costs were too high. What poverty. It wasn't very warm there either. So wear thick clothes in the winter if you still want to go there. But not recommended. Too bad about the money.

Geweldige ervaring gehad, wonen in de buurt maar nog nooit op deze locatie geweest. TOP! Personeel is uiterst vriendelijk en nemen de tijd voor je.

We hebben 20 minuten moeten wachten voor we de menukaart kregen, twee keer naar gevraagd. Een drankje hadden we al. Het hoofdgerecht was voor 80% rauw! En rauwe patrijs wil je echt niet eten. Dus teruggestuurd naar de keuken. Na vijf minuten kwam hij terug, nog steeds niet helemaal gaar en taai maar aangezien mijn man inmiddels bijna zijn bord leeg had toch maar opgegeten. Mijn man had een piepkuiken: veel botjes, weinig vlees en ook deze was taai. Beide gerechten hadden weinig smaak en we miste. Duidelijk kruiden en een jus/sausje. De lunch is altijd prima hier, maar inmiddels vier keer gegeten in de avond en nog nooit tevreden. Snap nu ook waarom dit het enige restaurant in het dorp is waar je zonder te reserveren in het weekend nog kunt eten. Jammer, prachtige locatie, je moet hier echt een goede kok neer zetten en dat zal het succes er zijn.

It is a very well-positioned, intimate place with a very pleasant indoor-outdoor environment. I only served a very good coffee, but I noticed a prompt and kind service. Congratulations! Indeed the mill does not work but it has its charm and attracts hikers and tourists being in the way of anyone passing through the area. I recommend with great pleasure.

Nice location and delicious food. I can definitely recommend the rotolo, a delicious autumnal dish. The orancello was also worth mentioning!

Had a club sandwich here, pitifully small, a mountain of chips to fill the plate, less! My table companions ate the Jalapeno hamburger, the hamburger between the bun tasted good! This combined with a bowl of fries, without garnish or small salad! Lunch dessert was a cardboard tub of ice cream on a bowl with a cookie that you get with your coffee, no dollop of whipped cream or other garnish! Missed opportunity unfortunately!

Cozy relaxation on the small Dommel. During an information evening about geothermal heat, the coffee machine did not work and there was no staff in this room to solve anything.

Dineren bij De Watermolen van Opwetten staat altijd garant voor een originele culinaire ervaring. Voor iemand zoals ik, die graag nieuwe smaken ontdekt, is dit “the place to be”. Ze hebben geen kindermenu, dus houd daar rekening mee als je kinderen hebt die lastige eters zijn, zoals de mijne. Het personeel is professioneel en geeft advies bij het maken van een keuze uit het menu. Ook bierliefhebbers komen hier aan hun trekken dankzij de uitgebreide bierselectie.

We went here as part of a tour. This is a unique building that has been restored and modernized. The water still flows and turns the wheel. There were outside wooden picnic tables, but we ate inside in a comfortable dining room. Our menu was set. There was tomato soup, beef and potatoes and strawberry ice cream dessert. Drinks were included. Some folks had beer, I had wine. All of the food was very good. Service was good. There was parking at the entryway.

Food wasn't great. We had pinsa goat cheese and pinsa burrata. Both were moderately invested. For a price of 16.50 you expect more. Service is excellent and the location is also beautiful. But unfortunately for us it is not worth repeating.

Beautiful well-kept location on the dried out rosemary on the terrace between the tables. We had made a reservation for 6:00 PM and had only finished the starters (bread and goyzas) at 7:00 PM. Still asked where the rest was. The kitchen could not handle it due to a large table. A shame because the rest was almost perfect. The vegetarian shawarma in particular was great.

We got married here a few years ago and always have dinner here on our wedding day. Always friendly service and delicious food in beautiful surroundings!!

Het is een geweldige plek maar de service viel mij tegen. Mijn gerookte kip salade was echt niet lekker, de kip zag er doods uit ( ja de kip is dood maar zo moet het er niet uit zien ) en het leken alleen maar rest afval stukjes. Toen ik dat aangaf ging het mee naar de keuken, de kok gaf mij gelijk maar ik moest wel gewoon de volle mep betalen. Vind ik echt slechte service.

Unfortunately the food was not tasty. I had and mushroom shawarma. Dry roti (that would be a sandwich according to the menu) and dried mushrooms and a few thin slices of beets with a sour sauce. The veggie burger was more of a lunch burger. Only a little vegetable between the sandwich. Furthermore, no raw vegetables or warm vegetables. Nothing special. Very sweet, friendly service.

Beautiful place and cozy. We brought our dog along which is a bonus for us. Service is top and we feel welcome and treated well. Food is served beautifully and tastes good, especially huisgemakte cheesecake, salads lamb, zeebaars and more. It’s a nice place to enjoy the view and beautiful environment.

Mooie plek. Na ruim een uur wachten op de lunch, zijn we gaan vragen waar onze lunch bleef. Pas toen serveerde men uiteindelijk de lunch. Na een soortgelijke ervaring in november .2023 gaan wij er niet meer heen.

Wederom gereserveerd bij dit mooie restaurant voor diner. We mochten buiten op het terras plaats nemen. Het was er gezellig druk. Uitstekende service want ik had kaart die net veranderd was niet goed gelezen en dacht hetzelfde te krijgen als de vorige keer. Hier werd meteen goed op ingespeeld door uitleg te geven en andere groenten te brengen. Fijne bediening. Prijs/ kwaliteit goed.
