Great food. Affordable. Friendly staff. But sometimes difficult to get their attention.

Delicious prawns again, as usual. Highly recommended for fish lovers.

Delicious food with friendly service. However, I found that we rarely received questions about whether everything was to our liking or, for example, whether we needed a drink if we ran out.

Very simple...uninviting place... Chicken salad? No lie: lettuce, chicken, pine nuts, a little bit!! cucumber and tomato...but for that price??? Disinterested service, not a smile; except for the young woman with short brown hair. Nah...you can find nicer places for the same price. But hey, my sons were in the mood for spare ribs 😅

The atmosphere and decor are no longer what they used to be; it's a bit bare, and very noisy. After asking for dessert twice, we decided to make coffee at home. The previous time, we noticed that the coffee no longer comes with a side dish (a small glass of liqueur with whipped cream). For now, we'll eat somewhere else.

We had a Mediterranean fish stew, with a lot of cheese and salt. It wasn't good, so we returned it. We had sweet spare ribs, which were dry and not tender, but overcooked and fell off the bone. Spicy spare ribs, the same, dry and not spicy.

Good food, regular prices and good service for years

The lettuce is still bad and, straight from the refrigerator, unpalatable.

With 37 degrees outside my little baby was thirsty/hungry. I asked an employee if I could use a chair on the closed terrace (before opening time) to breastfeed my daughter. This was no problem at all. My other daughter was offered a glass of lemonade and I was given a glass of ice cold water with ice cubes. "This way everyone could drink in this heat". How wonderful that there are such places in Nuenen. Thank you!!

We sat outside on the terrace, very uninviting terrace. The terrace is in the middle of a parking lot with parked cars in front of you and flats next to you. The spareribs of the Bengel are famous here in the area! Everyone I know comes here for the spareribs. Very tasty and highly recommended. For a vegetarian you have two choices of main courses and also two or so choices of starters. Food was tasty, only the terrace and the atmosphere on the terrace was very boring. In terms of costs it is not expensive not cheap

There is something for everyone! My family always comes back for the ribs. Not only is the atmosphere cozy for a family dinner, but the service is great and the staff is always friendly.

We went here for dinner today on a Thursday. It wasn't busy at all and we hadn't had any drinks for a while and none had been requested by the male waiter. After raising our hands a few times to ask for a drink, he looked away each time. We then walked inside to ask for drinks. After 10 minutes our drinks were not yet available, but drinks were served at other outside tables. It's a pity that the blond boy inside didn't serve outside because then things would have turned out very differently. We will not return here after this unwelcoming restaurant.

Usually I find it pleasant, unfortunately now I have a less pleasant experience. There were six of us, it was my child's birthday and when making the reservation I asked if she could be sung with a candle (as you always do), unfortunately she did not get either, we were given dessert and the wishes were not listened to. An apology was offered for dessert, but unfortunately we couldn't do much with it.

Delicious food, spare ribs that fall off the bone! Unfortunately the spareribs were not spicy, but still delicious! It's just a shame that they still have the same side salad after years. But he is nice haha.

Zeer matig eten en wat een enorme herrie binnen! Salade kip ketjap = een bord sla wat drijft in de ketjap met wat kip eroverheen. Wat een deceptie en zeker geen aanrader.

The food is really good. The layout of the restaurant (large and full of tables, nowhere, I would call it, planters "wall" so that it looks less massive and perhaps dampens sound somewhat) makes it extremely noisy. I find that unpleasant for a whole evening of dining. Service is friendly but could be a lot more professional. Wine glasses are not placed neatly in front of those who are going to drink wine and the glasses are then poured with the label down. What I find extremely disturbing and really unacceptable is that we had someone with serious allergies. She clearly indicated that she only wanted meat. Nothing else. No salad. Nothing at all. Starter carpaccio with two pieces of baguette on top, main course beef tenderloin with lettuce. Sorry, but if someone orders and the sentence starts with “I have a lot of allergies and that is why…” and you still arrive with plates on which other things have been placed, then there is something lacking in catering experience.

The food was fine. But I ordered wine, and I never got it. It was just sitting on the table somewhere. I ordered an espresso first, but that didn't arrive either. I find that disappointing.

I've been going to Bengel for years, but now they're really bad! When I come in, after 15 minutes they come and ask if you want a drink. The nicest one, we had baguettes with herb butter, and there was hair in the herb butter. When you want to pay, two employees are just talking about you. My Bengel bill has been debited!

Delicious food, too bad the music was a bit loud. It was pleasantly crowded, but because of the loud music and so many people, it was hard to hear each other.

With Christmas reservation was not edible had to sit upstairs that was not possible woman has fibromyalgia had to do something else too bad I would have gone but family helped her upstairs the food was not edible what you ordered you did not get but had to wait 50 minutes yes sorry mistake of the kitchen never again

A great restaurant for everyone! The service is good, the atmosphere is great. Personally I find the food quite simple; but always very well prepared. Despite my personal judgement of 3 stars for food I am also very sure that everyone can eat a nice meal... Perhaps one of the best restaurants to enjoy an evening with the whole family including a few picky eaters.

Very large, very noisy restaurant. Had to wait a very long time for our food. Plate was thrown in front of me from the other side of the table (very grumpy man who was clearly too busy and didn't feel like doing his job) some dishes also came twice without having ordered. Other service was friendly and polite. Food was good, but little choice for vegetarian dishes. We were 8 people, conversations were not possible because of the noise, only with the person next to you.

Zeer matig. Spareribs niet warm en weinig smaak (ik had de pikante) en de schnitzel was gefrituurd en donkerbruin gebakken. We bestelde champignonsaus erbij en kregen pepersaus. Kortom ons zie je niet meer terug.

The best spare ribs! Friendly and fast service. Nice outdoor seating. We eat here at least once or twice a year. *Tip for the owner: give them something to put the spare rib bones in.*

Yesterday we had a great time here and had a delicious meal. Despite an employee saying it was completely full and they didn't have full staff due to vacation, the staff was fast, friendly and attentive.

Heel groot zeer rumoerig restaurant. Veel keuze voor vlees, veganistisch zeer beperkt. Bediening had het erg druk, mijn bord met eten werd voor mij op tafel gegooid (zoiets heb ik nog nooit eerder meegemaakt) was maar een lid van de bediening dat zeer chagrijnig was. Rest was keurig.

Uiensoep besteld en bruschetta. De soep was werkelijk smerig, zout met hele grote stukken ui en in een erg klein bakje. Daarnaast lauw! En dat voor 7,30 Euro!!! Bruschetta smaakte wel, maar niets speciaals.

Zondag bij de bengel gegeten. Alles was naar wens! Fijne vriendelijke bediening. Spareribs waren goed mals en vielen van het bot. Helemaal tevreden dus!

We hadden ons eten besteld en binnen 5 seconde stond het voorgerecht (bospaddenstoelensoep) al op tafel, het smaakte opzich prima maar niet heel bijzonder. Hierna het hoofdgerecht de spareribs gehad, deze stonden ook na 10 seconden weer op tafel. Erg snelle service waarover we ons verbaasde en meestal doet het de kwaliteit niet ten goede. Zo blijkt helaas weer, beide hetzelfde op en beide voedselvergiftiging opgelopen. Restaurant gebeld om in te lichten, met de baas gesproken had zelf alles geproefd en niks raars geproefd. Als je een beetje kennis hebt van eten dan hoef je het ook niet te proeven (want een bacterie/schimmel is smaakloos, tenzij het super lang heeft gestaan en dit was niet het geval). Erg kortzichtig allemaal en dat is erg jammer. Wij gaan hier niet meer eten ondanks we een voucher konden krijgen om gratis te eten.

Prima prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Een foutje wordt snel hersteld en met excuses opgelost. Eten en ook de koffie mag iets warmer geserveerd worden.

ik had een mixed grill besteld , 25,95 voor 5 stukjes vlees op een spies , wat een drama zo weinig vlees voor een hoge prijs , waardeloos was het , dit bestel ik nooit meer daar .

Tja..het eten niets bijzonders, kipfilet waarvan alleen de naam lekker bekte, champignonsaus uit een pakje, de salade simpel. Wel snel gebracht maar dat zegt genoeg over de aan het eten besteedde tijd. Personeel ongeïnteresseerd. Hier komen we niet weer.

Regelmatig bij de Bengel in Nuenen te vinden. Ondanks een uitgebreide kaart wordt er altijd gekozen voor de spareribs. Prijs kwaliteit is goed en het personeel ziet snel of je iets nodig hebt. Ook zeker een aanrader voor als je met een grotere groep uit eten wilt door de keuze menu's die ze hebben.

We hebben met de hele familie heerlijk gegeten op het terras. Voordeel vind ik de Bengel heeft voor iedereen wat wils. Smakelijk, netjes en mooie prijs.

Gister weer goed gegeten, kom altijd graag bij de Bengel voor de kipsate. Voor de kinderen ook genoeg keuze en zijn kleurplaten en speelgoed aanwezig. Ondanks de drukte goede service.

We came to restaurant De Bengel in Nuenen as a family of ten people, including three small children aged 3, 4, and 5 years old. It was difficult for us to place our order because the waitress who was taking our order disappeared for a minute in the middle of the process. After 5 minutes we had to call another waiter to order food for the children. The french fries for the kids arrived on time. However, after an hour passed and the adults still didn't receive their food, we called the waiter over and asked how much longer we needed to wait. To our surprise, the young man informed us that our order had not even been placed in the kitchen because the waitress forgot to submit it. When I questioned how this could happen, especially since we had small children at the table who couldn't wait for long, the waiter replied that it was our problem and we should have inquired about our order earlier. I asked him to do something for the children, but he responded that it was not his concern and he didn't know what to do for someone else's kids. Another waitress offered to bring ice cream and drinks for the children and the adults while we waited. By the time the food finally arrived (after 1.5 hours), the kids were extremely cranky and impossible to calm down. The youngest one even lay down on the floor out of exhaustion. At this point, my husband and I couldn't bear being in the restaurant any longer, so I suggested deducting the uneaten dishes from the bill. However, the young man said it was impossible to do so. I then asked to speak to the manager, but I was told that the manager was not available that day. The restaurant didn't charge us for the ice cream brought for the children (as they didn't eat it) and the drinks they provided to the adults while we waited. However, they still charged us the full amount for everything else that was not fully consumed. Throughout the entire ordeal, nobody properly apologized to us. On the contrary, they blamed me for my children becoming restless after waiting for an hour and a half. The waiter simply said that I should have been concerned earlier about the food...

Zoals altijd was het weer super lekker je hebt echt lekker eten en duur is het niet. & Je kunt makkelijk parkeren voor de deur.

Goed eten en drinken, bediening is meestal snel. Wel wat gehorig binnen waardoor het snel op een 'vreetschuur' lijkt.

Prima eten en bediening. Mooi prijsje aan het eind, zeker de moeite waard

Lekker gegeten , vlees was lekker , er zat wel veel pindasaus bij de sate en ook veel saus bij het vlees . Frietjes en gebakken aardappeltjes waren erg lekker.

Ik ben met mijn collega's en ex collega's van Coca-Cola bij de Bengel in Nuenen wezen eten voor mijn afscheid, mijn collega's hadden nog nooit hier gegeten maar ze waren allemaal razend enthousiast en gaan absoluut nog een keertje terug zij het met vrienden, gezin of met het team. Alles was perfect en wij hebben genoten van de gastvrijheid, leuke bediening en goede keuken een echte aanrader.

Zeer slechte service. We hebben 30 minuten gezeten voordat we een menukaart in handen hadden (nadat we de medewerkers 2 keer moesten vragen). Het eten is prima maar niks speciaals en veel duurder geworden.

Ik gebruik de Bengel voor afhaal ipv friettent. Klinkt negatief maar is niet zo bedoeld. Keuken is erg goed en prijzen redelijk. Prima tent!

Het eten bij de Bengel is altijd lekker, zeer goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. De service is prima, aardige mensen. De sfeer is goed het is een grote open zaal die sfeervol is aangekleed en je zit niet op het bord van andere gezelschappen te kijken. De toiletten zijn wel aan vernieuwing toe ook al waren ze wel schoon. Achter in het restaurant is volgens mij een zaal die je zou kunnen afhuren.

Geweldig. Vriendelijk personeel. Gezelligge sfeer. Gewoon keigoed

groot restaurant met slechte akoestiek, zeer veel omgevingslawaai dus. Eten beetje aan de zoute kant.

Als het gaat om service dan kunnen ze beter gaan tennissen. Ronduit slecht. Het eten was redelijk, helaas was het vlees een beetje droog. De geserveerde friet was wat weinig voor 3 personen en een bestelling zonder groenten kwam met sla….in mijn woordenboek toch ook groenten.

Gisterenavond uitgeweken naar de Bengel in ons dorp. Gelukkig ff gebeld want het zat er ram vol. Ondanks dat toch een prima logistiek in de bediening, efficiënt en vriendelijk en het eten is er altijd van prima kwaliteit. Prima stek voor een lekker visje of mooie stukje vlees!
