Had sushi and wok noodle with crispy chicken, it was amazing with the taste and price was very reasonable since we were paying quite high in amsterdam city.

This is genuinely the best sushi in all of Zaandam!!! Always delivered quickly, and when I come to pick it up, it's already waiting for me; always top-notch service and super friendly staff. And since they completely renovated the restaurant, you can sit down and enjoy a nice, leisurely meal, and you can also get matcha, which I think is the most amazing!!

Ordered food at 4:00 PM for 7:15 PM, called at 7:45 PM and said it was on its way, waited another half hour, called again, got hung up on 3 times, finally got through and then it was "the order is lying here in front of me," what a lousy place. Canceled the order and never coming back here again.

Disappointing!! Upon arrival: * several helmets on the counter * the menu was too dirty to touch, completely stuck * I picked up another menu. It had a handwritten note on it saying "prices are more expensive than here." The answer was: Prices had gone up by about 20% since two years ago, but the menu had never been updated. No confidence in the quality of the food!! We left without placing an order!!

The food was delicious, very reasonably priced, and the service was excellent.

I've been ordering from here for years, but unfortunately, the quality and service have declined significantly in recent years, while the prices have only gone up. This was the last time I gave it another try. The rice was overcooked and sticky, and the sushi ingredients were clearly of low quality. For this price, you really expect better. This is definitely the last time I've ordered from here. Such a shame.

What can I say… NEVER AGAIN. Completely indifferent staff. Instead of the promised 45 minutes, the delivery took 1 hour and 45 minutes. I had to call twice, and during the second call the operator didn’t even explain the delay, didn't answer for my questions and just said: have a good evening and simply hung up on me. I’m shocked!!!!! No respect AT ALL!!

I tried this place myself, and honestly, the food looked amazing and tasted just as good. Everything was nicely presented, fresh, and full of flavour. I definitely recommend others to try it perfect if you’re craving good sushi or a nice bento at a reasonable price.

I had a takeaway and it was worth waiting for 20 min for the lekker sushi!! 🍣🍤 And the bento was great. Highly recommend.

What a terrible company. I'm 80 years old and I'm being treated very poorly. They forgot my soy sauce. I hear they forget this often (probably didn't have the money for the sauce), and then I was insulted for a disease my wife died from. This is unacceptable behavior. I've reported it to the consumer association and the police.

09/11/25 Ordered food at 16:00, for an 18:00 delivery. Finally arrived at 19:49. Delivery times are ridiculous.

It arrived exactly an hour later. It tasted awful. It tasted like it was stale. Even the rice was completely different. This was my first and last order.

I ordered sushi yesterday. And it felt like it was old. Some of the sushi already had soy sauce on it. It was absolutely disgusting. I'll never eat it again.

WARNING!!! This crappy restaurant has been waiting an hour for my order. I called the restaurant; the delivery driver had two other addresses in Koog aan de Zaan. It was supposed to be there in 5 minutes. Half an hour has passed since then. I called the restaurant again, and lo and behold, the restaurant is closed. But still no food delivered. NEVER ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT. THEY CAN'T BE TRUST! YOUR ORDER WILL NEVER ARRIVE!!!!

The last two times I ordered sushi here, it was DRAMATIC, to say the least. The first time, there was plastic in my salmon box, so €30 worth of sushi was thrown away. I don't want to know why there was plastic in it or what the source was. I don't want to get sick. (They've removed the review about that time on Thuisbezorgd, or had it removed, very bad, so I can also polish my review score.) This week, I ordered over €80 worth of sushi, with comments about a food allergy and a request not to use lettuce as decoration (which I think is insane anyway, food waste). The comments have been read, and the mayonnaise-based sauce was neatly separated. I ended up getting seriously ill from the sushi because there was literally half a head of lettuce crammed in between the sushi. Then you file a complaint and all you get is a middle finger from this store, and they refuse to take even the slightest responsibility. Not even an apology or an inquiry about what's going on. And yes, food allergies to lettuce are real. It's the nitrates in the leaves that can make you seriously ill. Like, call 911, or else things will go wrong! I've ordered from here many times, and they always paid attention to the comments, until I found plastic and reported it (which, incidentally, coincides with the fact that they don't pass on online tips to the delivery driver). Apparently, honest reviews aren't allowed. They've definitely lost us as customers! And I don't recommend them anymore; I'll order my sushi somewhere else!

You should NEVER order here!! Ordered via Uber eats. Our order would arrive between 7:00 PM and 7:30 PM. We started calling at 8:00 PM and they are simply unreachable. It wasn't until 9:00 PM that we got a hold of them and they said there was supposedly a glitch with Uber eats. I see this in several reviews, if this is really the case you should not offer your food here. The boy was supposed to call me back with a suitable solution but has not called back and is no longer answering. Now let's hope I get my money back.

I have now been waiting for our food for 105 minutes. 0 communication that it is delayed. Thuisbezorgd.nl has been showing for an hour that the restaurant has indicated that the food is on its way. When calling, there is no answer at first. Later I was told that the orders for our village had just gone out. You need to order at the counter, we set and waited, after no one came, we ordered at the counter. The atmosphere is outdated, but the place looks clean. The food was ok, but a bit too salty. Good quality for the price.

I ordered at 5:20 PM and called around 6:30 PM where the order remained, I was told that there was a malfunction in the system and that it would be later at 7:45 PM, which is already 2 and a half hours for 50 euros sushi so I called again at 8:00 PM but was told that the delivery person is now leaving. Terrible service. I will never order this again from here and I still have no food and it is now 8:40 PM.

My experience was terrible, the place has a disgusting smell, the food was disappointing because the real food it doesn’t look like in the menu also mi dish was lack of vegetables ( the image in the menu has these ingredients) and the portion of chicken was a scam… all bad in this place . Ordered sushi for €50 at 5:00 PM, it was supposed to arrive at 6:15 PM, it ended up being 6:45 PM, okay, that can happen. The hot roll in the box was just stone cold, and the box looked like it had been thrown in straight away. When we contacted Delicate, we got on the phone with a gentleman who spoke 0 words of Dutch and did not understand us at all. This ultimately caused anger on our part, which is not nice and we also apologize for that. The connection was disconnected twice out of nowhere, then we spoke to the boss and it was eventually resolved, we received a new box. It is a great pity that we did not take any photos of the first box, as it was completely incomparable with the box that we ultimately received at 8:05 PM. It was still very tasty, but this is the last time at Delicate for us.

There was very little salmon, crab or avocado between the rolls. The sushi rice did not stick as it should so the roll almost fell apart. In short, I didn't like the sushi. I have often eaten better. It remains just this one time. However, the delivery was very fast. (30 minutes)

The kitchen staff shouts, “don't talk, work, pace” when I miss a 14 euro roll after checking my order. After this, something else was wrong at home. Called and said they would deliver it with “maybe something extra” this was one extra fried shrimp. Furthermore, the sushi was good.

The poke bowl itself is always delicious. On the other hand, the order is always 30 minutes+ late and now a few times I have had an incomplete order.

Being able to quickly arrange something for my own birthday was wonderful and beyond words. And for my Daughter, as a surprise with her friends, I also received a beautiful birthday card for her. Poor quality sushi delivery also took another 2 hours

Called yesterday afternoon at 3:00 PM to ask if I could place an order for sushi and whether it could be delivered around 5:00/5:15 PM because I had to leave for work at 5:45 PM. This was no problem, the man on the phone said. At 5:30 PM I still had nothing so I called and then the girl said he is now stepping out the door (I live 5 minutes away). We waited until 6:00 PM and still nothing! No one called me in the meantime to tell me it was going to be later. I called and said that half of the cancellation could be canceled since I had to leave but my husband and child still had to eat. They thought this was strange and did not do it. Ultimately canceled the entire order and will never order from here again! It is better to order sushi at Samurai in Zaandijk. They are always right on time.
