I tried this place myself, and honestly, the food looked amazing and tasted just as good. Everything was nicely presented, fresh, and full of flavour. I definitely recommend others to try it perfect if you’re craving good sushi or a nice bento at a reasonable price.

What a terrible company. I'm 80 years old and I'm being treated very poorly. They forgot my soy sauce. I hear they forget this often (probably didn't have the money for the sauce), and then I was insulted for a disease my wife died from. This is unacceptable behavior. I've reported it to the consumer association and the police.

WARNING!!! This crappy restaurant has been waiting an hour for my order. I called the restaurant; the delivery driver had two other addresses in Koog aan de Zaan. It was supposed to be there in 5 minutes. Half an hour has passed since then. I called the restaurant again, and lo and behold, the restaurant is closed. But still no food delivered. The last two times I ordered sushi here, it was DRAMATIC, to say the least. The first time, there was plastic in my salmon box, so €30 worth of sushi was thrown away. I don't want to know why there was plastic in it or what the source was. I don't want to get sick. (They've removed the review about that time on Thuisbezorgd, or had it removed, very bad, so I can also polish my review score.) This week, I ordered over €80 worth of sushi, with comments about a food allergy and a request not to use lettuce as decoration (which I think is insane anyway, food waste). The comments have been read, and the mayonnaise-based sauce was neatly separated. I ended up getting seriously ill from the sushi because there was literally half a head of lettuce crammed in between the sushi. Then you file a complaint and all you get is a middle finger from this store, and they refuse to take even the slightest responsibility. Not even an apology or an inquiry about what's going on. And yes, food allergies to lettuce are real. It's the nitrates in the leaves that can make you seriously ill. Like, call 911, or else things will go wrong! I've ordered from here many times, and they always paid attention to the comments, until I found plastic and reported it (which, incidentally, coincides with the fact that they don't pass on online tips to the delivery driver). Apparently, honest reviews aren't allowed. They've definitely lost us as customers! And I don't recommend them anymore; I'll order my sushi somewhere else!

You should NEVER order here!! Ordered via Uber eats. Our order would arrive between 7:00 PM and 7:30 PM. We started calling at 8:00 PM and they are simply unreachable. It wasn't until 9:00 PM that we got a hold of them and they said there was supposedly a glitch with Uber eats. I see this in several reviews, if this is really the case you should not offer your food here. The boy was supposed to call me back with a suitable solution but has not called back and is no longer answering. Now let's hope I get my money back.

Ordered sushi for €50 at 5:00 PM, it was supposed to arrive at 6:15 PM, it ended up being 6:45 PM, okay, that can happen. The hot roll in the box was just stone cold, and the box looked like it had been thrown in straight away. When we contacted Delicate, we got on the phone with a gentleman who spoke 0 words of Dutch and did not understand us at all. This ultimately caused anger on our part, which is not nice and we also apologize for that. The connection was disconnected twice out of nowhere, then we spoke to the boss and it was eventually resolved, we received a new box. It is a great pity that we did not take any photos of the first box, as it was completely incomparable with the box that we ultimately received at 8:05 PM. It was still very tasty, but this is the last time at Delicate for us.

Called yesterday afternoon at 3:00 PM to ask if I could place an order for sushi and whether it could be delivered around 5:00/5:15 PM because I had to leave for work at 5:45 PM. This was no problem, the man on the phone said. At 5:30 PM I still had nothing so I called and then the girl said he is now stepping out the door (I live 5 minutes away). We waited until 6:00 PM and still nothing! No one called me in the meantime to tell me it was going to be later. I called and said that half of the cancellation could be canceled since I had to leave but my husband and child still had to eat. They thought this was strange and did not do it. Ultimately canceled the entire order and will never order from here again! It is better to order sushi at Samurai in Zaandijk. They are always right on time.

Had a dramatic experience at this tent. We ordered sushi and agreed that it would be ready at 3:00 PM. What do you think, when we arrive to pick it up, it is not ready! When I asked how that was possible, I was told that I must have called the wrong branch. Turned out not to be the case after showing the number called. After that there was no apology for the inconvenience, nothing at all. Really terrible attitude from the employees. Last time for me and I would advise everyone against ordering here. Had to wait more than 2 hours for a ready-made sushi box... If you want to call where the order is, they just don't answer the phone! Very bad thing. First gave an indication of 30 minutes. Then 60 minutes, followed by 90 minutes. After 120 minutes still no order! I didn't even get to enjoy the sushi because I had to leave early due to... curfew 😓

Order placed at 5:20 PM, it is now 8:50 PM and still no order received... 3 hours later!! In the meantime try to call but the phone is just next to no one picks up, called another branch and they just say it's busy, we can't get hold of them either... how can you as a company not reach each other? If you cannot handle the crowds, do not accept an order, or be professional enough to send a message or an email regarding the status of your order.

I ordered a family box in two flavors. There were more than enough ribs, and together with the side dishes, it was more than enough for four people. The ribs were super tender and well-packaged, so they were still nice and hot, allowing you to easily pull the bones out. I had the classic and the BBQ ribs. The BBQ is highly recommended if you like a little more bite on your ribs. Delivery was within 50 minutes, right at 6:00 PM. Perfect timing!

We had a lovely meal on Friday, Boxing Day, at Novels in Zaandam. However, the food was a bit too much to eat. It is not permitted to bother other customers at Novels in Zaandam. Please ask the woman with long hair in a ponytail and a man in a gray hooded jacket who were sitting at the round table with a long bench facing the road on Saturday, September 27th, with a group of five. They ordered, among other things, two bottles of wine. Please never do this again. We also ask the blonde woman in a long white sweater with glasses who was sitting at Novels on Saturday, September 20th, during the Dam tot Dam By Night, to never bother someone. We also kindly ask this woman to never do this again. We had a wonderful meal at Novels on Boxing Day. We had a truly delicious meal at Novels in Zaandam. Highly recommended! We highly recommend it! I've noticed that regarding the smoking policy at Novels, The smoking area is less than five steps away from the smoking-allowed area. There are people who aren't exactly comfortable and move to a non-smoking lounge, only to be immediately told by Novels staff that smoking is not allowed there. They then go back to the unsuitable area and return to where they were. And from now on, always a Latte Macchiato, even during the last round. Coffee during the last round is no longer accepted by regular Novels customers. The coffee machine is only cleaned after Novels closing time, not before. Today, Friday, March 29, 2024. Extremely busy, and it felt like a sauna here at Novels. I ordered a Latte Macchiato, and after another, I was told the coffee machine was broken. I'm not falling for that. With such a mess, you shouldn't approach customers. Monday, May 13 Unfortunately. Today, Novells was short-staffed. Had to wait a very long time for an employee. Rude delivery drivers!! The first time went wrong. I called to ask what I ordered, and they offered an incomprehensible apology, and I thought, "That happens." I ordered several times after that, and each time something was wrong, but I wasn't too worried. But today was the last time I'll spend my money here. The delivery driver was downstairs on his scooter, ordering me to come down for my food. He rang the doorbell several times, and only after I called the restaurant did he give me a lame excuse about the door not opening. He kept ringing the doorbell like crazy instead of immediately saying the door wouldn't open. Which wasn't even the case, because we tried it later, and the door opened just fine. I refused the food and asked for a refund. I will NEVER order from here again!!
