Got a delicious ice cream. You do have to order at a kiosk, but that makes it go faster. And who wouldn't want that? 😉 The ice cream tasted great, but I didn't try anything else, but I saw plenty of people eating. Great place for fries.

Always delicious. It's a bit pricey these days, but that's certainly due to the beautiful location. Ordering from a kiosk at a snack bar is just not my thing.

The young man behind the counter doesn't speak Dutch, is anything but friendly, and the prices are absurd. Cash is impossible (currently the only legal tender). Stay away.

When we arrived, we wanted to order at the counter, but it turned out we could only order at the ordering kiosks. The guy behind the counter didn't speak Dutch, only English. It's a shame to see that we're becoming less and less sociable and often can't pay at the counter anymore. The M&M Sundae, to me, was the same as a McFlurry M&M you get at McDonald's. I think three stars for this place is quite a boon.

Absolutely awful. The food. Way too expensive. Long wait (and it was very quiet), old, tough meatballs. Soggy fries. And lukewarm drinks. In short, drive a bit further. There are better snack bars there.

Every year when we vacation here, we come to Ellemet to watch the sunset and the sea lions, and then have a bite to eat here. This year was the last time! As I read the recent comments this afternoon, I thought... Wow... that turned out to be terrible. Since we like to see for ourselves, we went and ate here anyway. The people before me complained that you can only pay by card now, which I have to say was the only option last year, too. I don't think that's a bad thing... it's also about the safety of the staff and hygiene. What was new was the ordering machine in the entrance area of the container. They offer four languages, the translation is mediocre and only good on the first page; after that, everything else is in Dutch (well, it's not difficult to choose your food based on the pictures anyway). The prices are really steep for a simple snack bar; there's no sugarcoating it, and it doesn't help even if you have an unobstructed view of the sea. We paid €50 for three menus (see pictures) including drinks... sorry... but nope! I've had much better food at the Even Pause in Den Osse with better service. Speaking of service... the young man only spoke Dutch, which isn't a problem... his colleague at least spoke English. Unfortunately, the complaint didn't really work. One of our fries with mayo was completely missing from our order... afterward, we had three mayo and two fries at the counter... There's no table service, and we weren't even really notified that the order was ready. Well, there were only two other host families there with us, so it was manageable... Condition of the snack bar: First of all... there are neither sinks nor toilets, so if you're looking for a place to wash your hands after eating greasy food without napkins... you can go down to the sea and try your luck there. In the container itself, there were five tables for various numbers of people. The floor and the tables were at least superficially clean. However, some tables were wobbly, which is no different from last year. The number of seats outside has been increased this year; at least there are more tables and chairs. FOOD: Given the location and condition of the snack bar, you should be able to tell that you can't expect Michelin-starred cuisine here. It is and remains a simple food truck with seating. As for the food itself... they offer fried foods and one or two burgers. I'll give you a spoiler: The best part of the meal were the unsalted fries! The chicken (nuggets and fillets) and kip were beyond over-fried. Even Heinz tomato ketchup and mayo from the bucket couldn't save them! SERVICE: As already mentioned, there is no table service, and you should stay in the container to receive your order. In terms of language, you should hope that at least one employee speaks English, or you should have a translation program on your phone so you can communicate somewhat if you don't speak Dutch. (I can understand English, but I can speak a few words.) CONCLUSION: This was our last visit here, and I fully understand the frustration of my previous reviewers. We won't be coming here for dinner again either!

Dick's Taria sounds nice, but it's nothing special. The staff doesn't speak Dutch and isn't very helpful. Furthermore, the kibbeling was overcooked in the fryer with a kilo of salt, and that for 14 euros per portion.

Nothing special here, but when you're still waiting for the sunset late at night and feeling a little peckish, it's nice to find a chip shop open. Orders can only be made at the vending machine with card payments. No cash payments accepted.

It's nothing like what you'd imagine a "frituur" to be. Horrible.

Ordering via column was quick, a bit of searching if you wanted something without a bun. All fryers are on pre-programmed times, but still the croquettes were not hot inside.

Very expensive and disgustingly ugly! The fries are made of cardboard and the kibbeling is just fish with a different layer.

Wow... quality below par. Frozen chips extremely watery, inedible... fries boiled instead of fried. Service leaves nothing to be desired... and they don't speak a word of English or Dutch. Also extremely expensive for what you get on your plate. I've been here many times, but this was the last time. Wasted money. And there is plenty of choice...

Crazy expensive. Not a word of Dutch. Something went wrong with my order and I ended up with extra fries. Couldn't explain...no money back. Went for fries with my son. Add a snack and a can of Coke. 36 euros.

Were the only ones ordering... communicating with the foreign staff was very difficult.. they hardly speak english and do not understand dutch.. say you can sit outside and then let your food get cold at the counter without even calling you, while we were sitting around the corner.. In short, more than €16.00 for cold fries with a drink..

Really outrageous prices. 3 fries, meat roll (3€???!!), kipcorn, one kibbeling and 3 drinks for 50€ in the snack bar!!! Never experienced in the entire region.

Fries are fine, there's nothing wrong with that. But I think 2 peanut fries and a can of coke for 14.50 euros are bizarrely expensive. Ordering is done via a vending machine. There is no board where you can see the prices in advance. I entered my order and at checkout I was shocked by the amount. Anyway, I won't let myself be known and will take care of it. But I won't order anything from here a second time.

The only thing that is contemporary here is the impersonal ordering at the machine. Eating in a tree container that isn't exactly clean but rather drafty is somehow no longer fashionable. The food and prices are ok, but nothing more.

Minimum portions for maximum price.. Ordering machine where the waitress stands behind bored. Quality is tolerable but what can you go wrong with special fries... but some people can do that too... If you want to eat tingling for 8€+1.50€ then here. Were original 5 pieces of fish 1.5 x4 cm .. Respect, it won't work for us anymore 1bami 1croquette 1 kibbeling 2 fries with sauce .. 2 meatballs special 36€ 👏🏻👏🏻👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿 And the dirty table was just before 8 p.m. the tables have to be clean... All the slices would be great to eat... I don't know people have been going here for decades... There are a handful of stalls that are far better.

This is basically a simple chip cart. Food completely frozen goods including kibbeling. Prices completely exorbitant....Chicken Nugget menu, Kibbeling menu, Kibbeling extra...makes 45 euros..... snapper.

Mussels and kibbeling were very good. I think the price is reasonable (quite normal for us Swiss) and the quantity was good too.

The fries and Frikandel were quite ok, I've actually experienced worse. And nice location. But that's about it with "good": Greasy tables, overfull trash can, the counter is full of materials, order terminals and boxes. All very loveless. One can argue about the exclusively “digital” ordering and payment; If the price is ultimately too high, you can cancel the order.

This concerns the chip cart, not the permanent building. I'd rather drive an hour further than ever walk in here again. If you come in and someone says I've been waiting for an hour so I wouldn't order here, you look around, see 10 people and then order anyway, you don't expect that literally an hour and 15 minutes later you ordered 3 fries with 3 snacks. Ordering with the order column (only option) went well and quickly. Prices are very high for what it is. However, the woman behind the counter made a huge mess of it. She stood alone in her defense. An order appeared once every 7 minutes or so. Customers who ordered 5 fries received 2 fries, and the other 3 came "later", or the next round about 7 minutes later. Other customers who asked for take-away were given bags, so pack it up here. Cans were slammed onto the counter. Never before have I seen so much incompetence in a chip shop. I have eaten 3 courses in crowded restaurants in less time than it takes to make a few fries here. And it wasn't even busy by fast food standards! Around half past eight a boy came to help her, after looking at her for a while he took control and things slowly got going. If it gets too busy for you and you can't handle a few customers, just close your orders instead of making entire families wait more than an hour for a simple, quick, fatty, expensive bite. If there are 40 people, okay, but with 10 people in front of you this makes no sense. This was such a lousy experience that I took the time to write a review about a fries cart

Looks like a typical snack bar, but offers really tasty snack dishes - we were pleasantly surprised. Great location right on Browersdam. Price-performance is also ok. Clear recommendation

Fries from a bar, always tasty. Location on the Brouwersdam, fine, plenty of attention, but ordering on a screen a la MC Donalds and sky high in terms of prices, that takes away the authentic atmosphere of a chip shop and your wallet empties a lot faster... but the fries are still tasty hear;-)

Niemals dort Essen, das ist so schlecht das man es kaum glaubt. 2x Pommes Spezial für 12.60€..... Die Pommes sind aus dem Discounter, dauert ewig weil die Fritteuse erst mal auf Temperatur gebracht werden muss..(Weil kaum einer dahin kommt und etwas Bestellt! ) Pommes Spezial war dann mit einem Teelöffel Mayonnaise und einen Teelöffel Gewürzketchup garniert mit 10 Gramm Zwiebeln aus dem Beutel für Großküchen. Kann nur vor dem Dreck warnen, haben die Holländer keine Lebensmittelkontrolle ? Meidet diesen Laden besser, jeder der dort Gutgläubig Essen geht tut mit leid. NIE WIEDER! Eet daar nooit, het is zo erg dat je het nauwelijks kunt geloven. 2x friet speciaal voor €12.60...... De friet komt uit de discountwinkel en duurt een eeuwigheid omdat de friteuse eerst op temperatuur moet worden gebracht (omdat bijna niemand daar komt en iets bestelt!) Speciale frietjes werden vervolgens gegarneerd met een theelepel mayonaise en een theelepel gekruide ketchup met 10 gram uien uit de zak voor grrootkeukens. Food was okay, but 7.50 for 5 mega small chickens and 4.50 for a very small bowl of ice cream! I will never come back here!!! It might also be useful to start learning Russian 2 years in advance because they can't even speak Dutch here.

We were looking forward to Kibbeling, which we also got. Frozen Kibbeling in the Fritöse Sauce is ready. Fish with breading and unseasoned. There is no service, orders are placed at the machine and payment is also made; in two years a robot will do that. There are only two stars for the ambience "view of the sea" We've been here several times, and it's getting worse and worse.

I'm going to tell you how it is. When you enter a tent that consists of a separate trailer and a bus, you should not expect Michelin star food. If you want to get some kibbeling, just go to a fishmonger's shop. You are by the sea so there are plenty of fishing shops. If you come here and complain about the quality of the food, you have either never had a fatty meal or you have zero knowledge of the world. Indeed, Eastern Block behind the counter, but that's just the way it is in the multicultural Netherlands. She was very nice and asked if we wanted bags and extra salt, and when we had trouble finding the chili sauce on the order board she helped us. There was nothing wrong with the temperature of the food. And everything tastes as it should taste. A fatty bite is simply a fatty bite. There is a beach bar a few hundred meters away, if you want to wait an hour for your food and pay €30 for just the starter, do it there. You can also tame seagulls with this food, see photos. A really worthless place... frikandel was a sponge full of sucked fat and a chicken sandwich was no longer like a box full of old bread and tough chicken. It is also useful to speak Ukrainian because they do not understand Dutch...

Poor hygiene. We bought a burger menu for takeaway. The server touched our food with dirty hands (visible black dirt under her fingernails). When we opened our fries there was a black hair in our mayonnaise. We ended up throwing away 18 euro's worth of food without taking a bite.

Standard convenience. Fries without salt. Overall worse than McDonald's but at least 50% more expensive. The service was very friendly and the location is great. But the food, well, I don't know.

A real money machine for the boss 2 Eastern blockers behind the bar who barely speak Dutch and don't even know what the types of snacks are, pay via an electronic kiosk so you can't ask for your money back. My tip for everyone is to drive past it very quickly.

Frikadellen were dried out things that were hard to eat. Maybe old stock. I hope he doesn't give his wife such a dry sausage because then the marriage will be over quickly....... Croquette was tasty

Kibbeling und Fritten sind ok, aber mega teuer.

Menü: Große Portion Pommes. Kibbeling zu dunkel frittiert, sonst in Ordnung. Mna wird auf jeden Fall satt! Bestellt und bezahlt wird an einem Touchscreen bei dem man die Preise erst am Ende sieht. Etwas doof.

Lekkere frietjes. Het was er rustig en we werden vriendelijk geholpen. Bij een large friet krijg je ook echt meer dan voldoende friet. Kroketten en frikandellen waren ook prima gebakken
