Dim Sum Court in Burgwallen-Oude Zijde

Miserable! I don't know if I've ever eaten something so bad in my life! There were 5 of us and no one liked it. Cheap food and poorly and tastelessly prepared! Very, very, very bad!!!

They don't know how to do Japanese dishes. Only use the microwave to cook. I haven't taste Japanese food like this. I don't suggest to go. It's rubbish food

I ordered a Japanese curry and normally it should be brown-ish colour but it turns out is transparent and it tastes really bad, it also don't match the photo in the menu. The guy in the restaurant gave a really bad service and kind of rude.

The food was very poor, with no taste at all. We had a dinner with 7 friends and everyone was really disappointed. Not recommended

Worst restaurant experience in my entire life....by far

Ronduit vreselijk, eten smakeloos en bediening zeer slecht. Toiletten smerig. 71 euro wegggegooid. Terrible, food was very bad, extreme strange service and dirty toilets. Don’t go there. Price was 71 euro to much.

Wir haben dieses Restaurant aufgesucht, weil wir hier vor einigen Jahren sehr gute Dim Sum in speziellen Bambuskörben genossen haben. Sie waren etwa so groß wie Mandarinen, weich, duftend und mit verschiedenen leckeren Füllungen. Dieses Mal war alles anders: der "Dim Sum Mix" für 10,- Euro z.B. bestand aus nur 4 winzig kleinen Teilen, die auf einem Kuchenteller Platz hatten = zwei walnuss-kleine (tiefgefrorene?) DimSums und zwei frittierte, harte Frühlingsröllchen fast ohne Füllung.... Und das "Ebi Furai" waren drei kleine panierte und frittierte Scampis für 6,50 Euro !!! Das war eine Frechheit, wir haben protestiert, aber der unfreundliche ältere Herr bestand auf der stolzen Summe von 33,- Euro (für 2 Personen). Wir kommen bestimmt nie wieder!!!!!

The staff wasn’t nice and the food was okay. Expect the staff to get very mad when you want to split the bill!

They used to have great dim sum, however since the change in concept the food became rather terrible while the prices increased. I received the wrong order, the ramen was very bad, the dim sum was impossible to chew.

Very interesting place. Probably the worst Chinese restaurant (if you can call it that) I’ve ever been to. Makes you feel like an unwanted guest in his house.

Food is okay. Cost to Value ratio might still be appropriate for Amsterdam prices but not really advisable

To ne Honest I don’t get why this place has so many bad reviews! I’m Asian and eat chinese regularly and it was good ! The waitress is very kind and the prices are pretty low for this area. Dim Sum was delicious, the ramen needed a little more Flavor but that wasn’t a big deal. People complaining for writing your order by yourself, but that’s pretty normal in chinese Restaurants and I don’t see the problem behind it - I means it just prevents from any misunderstandings. I recommend this place for affordable lunch

The food is always the same. Not anything spectacular but very good snacks and comfort food for a reasonable price great for a easy night dinner when you just want something easy and good. It's not very healthy though, lots of stuff is fried. Also the owner is always exceptionally nice and hospitable.

The staff is lovely, the food is fine. It feels more like a fast food place than a restaurant due to the uncomfortable seating and fast service, which is not necessarily a problem. You can write down what you want so you always get what you ask for.

Petit restaurant très simple. Absolument pas luxueux mais cuisine efficace. Une seule table centrale et tout autour de la pièces des assises type bar. Plats servis rapidement. Acceuil sympa. Bien pour manger rapidement.

De zaak ziet er simpel en eenvoudig uit, geen 5sterren uitstraling. (Meer die van de standaard eethuisjes die je in Azië tegen komt) Maar het eten is geweldig! We hebben echt genoten van het eten! Ook de reacties over onvriendelijk personeel snap ik niet helemaal... misschien kent men de Chinese cultuur dan niet goed genoeg. Maar op ons kwam de mevrouw erg vriendelijk over! We zullen hier zeker weten weer terug komen!

Am pleasantly surprise with the standard and taste of food. They may not serve the most authentic dim sum, but it was surely hand made with fresh ingredient. I had their wanton noodles soup, har kau and cha shao bao. I am glad I didn’t leave because of the reviews.

I've been here many times and I actually find the waiters/owner very nice.Seeing the other negative comments it seems that often, customers that aren't too familiar with the Chinese ways of interacting+speaking not in their native language, they misinterpret it as rude. From my personal experience, I can say each time we went there super fast serving and kind to us. The casual atmosphere reminds me of local "izakayas" in Japan as there are a lot of different small dishes you can have there. I do have to say that unfortunately the dim sum could be better, but still, I've tried much worst in Amsterdam and at higher price in places near by.

Great little establishment and they're fairly quick but if you're coming for authentic Chinese food, skip this place. I ordered the har gow (shrimp dumplings) and the roast duck noodle soup. The har gow doesn't taste remotely like they're supposed to and the only good thing about the soup was the duck, which I think they get from next door. Highly disappointed.

Its alright dim sum for an alright price. The beat we had was the radish cake.

I don’t really understand why there is so much disappointed people in the comment but I really enjoy the dumplings. The place is simple but everything taste soooo good !! Wich is rare for dumplings (often they are like frozen one but here you can see they made it themselves). Moreover the lady was really nice and charming !! + the prices are correct. This is a small place but they serve really good food and I will go back for sure ! This is the kind of place where I would like to eat everyday, who cares if the guy is cold or if the place is not a palace ? We are here for the food right ?

The place is strangely full. There’s really only one table to sit at with multiple people. Which is unfortunate. Food wise it’s quite expensive yet sadly a bit bland as well. It’s not awful for sure, but not something I’d have again.

Rare service, onvriendelijke man en ik zal verder uit respect voor me houden waar ik de dimsum naar vond smaken.. de rijst/nasi overigens wel erg lekker.

Funny place. The Waiter watches TV all day and is not so much into service. Food was OK. No one on the place when we arrived. prices are cheap, especially for that Central part of amsterdam.

I know about this place for 11 years. They used to have all you can eat which was def not bad although the service was the worst possible. The owner is always very angry and as rude as possible. He might be someone who wouldn't feel bad torturing people, although I feel bad for him. I think he should take anti depressants and start setting positive goals for himself. Every couple of months I pass by and he is still angry and depressed. I saw that they removed the all you can eat. Their prices are low and if you don't care about service try it out. I personally love the Chinese places next door, New King and Nam Kee. Both great. If you like Thai food eat at Bird a bit further along the street on your left. Very cheap and they give you a whole bunch of super tasty food. Try the chicken mango pineapple dish.

This place was great. The food is excellent. You won’t be disappointed. It’s a nice gem in a cool city. Surprised more people weren’t there?

Great traditional Chinese food with amazing flavours! Got like 7-8 different dishes and all of theme were amazing! I was with friends from Taiwan some it's not only my opinion. Service was also very nice. If someone like that kind of food I can totally recommend this place! :)
