Dolan late night food in Nieuwe Pijp

This is not the same restaurant as years ago. Now they're offering authentic Xinjiang food! The food is amazing, the service is great and friendly! The price to portion size ratio is quite decent! Been coming here quite regularly now, and highly recommend it!

My husband was too stingy to put a little sauce on my kapsalon; I had to ask him three times. The kapsalon tasted really fake, and they didn't put any cheese on it. Also, check out the size of the kapsalon. Definitely not recommended. Oh, and the tomato smelled moldy. I'll never order from them again.

The dry-fried noodles are so authentic, they instantly transport me back to southern Xinjiang!

They good only making dapandji. Other than that service terrible. Not much cutlery or napkins. you had to ask them. Owner who serves the food spilled out my drink, didn’t say sorry, brought some toilet paper to wipe things out and even charged for the drink. Terrible. Stay away unless you do uber

I ordered a döner sandwich. The sandwich I received wasn't döner, but pulled chicken or some other dry, flavorless variety. The sandwich also tasted like it was from the day before. The only flavor it had came from the siracha. The place itself was also very dirty. So, I wouldn't recommend it.

Truly flavorful Uyghur cuisine, exotic dishes, warm atmosphere, and top-notch service. Highly recommended!

All I can say is that the service is much better than many big restaurants. The dishes are small but exquisite and very good.

Food is tasty and friendly staff

Don't often give a bad review, but this doner was really that bad. Dry chicken, no taste, no sauce, really paid 6.50 euros for nothing. Shame !

The roasted mutton is very tender and does not have any smell. The oily pork noodles and dry stir-fried noodles also taste good, and the noodles are large! If you go late, the roast lamb might be gone.

Delicious Uyghur dish from these lovely people, everything is home-made, the noodles are handmade and you can taste that too!

Amazing Uyghur food in Amsterdam

Food was very oily, no proper menu and the prices we paid differed from what was written on the online menu. Interior was a bit dirt, poorly maintained and gloomy.

Humble place with great taste and reasonable prices. Definitely worth a try if you like Halal asian food.

A special place that looks like another snack bar, but it isn't. Although it looks neglected inside they serve quite nice food.

The waiting time is long, but each portion is freshly fried, the large plate of chicken tastes very authentic, and the small portion is enough for two people, it is well worth it!

DON’T SLEEP on Dolan Late Night!!! I’m begging you. I rarely leave reviews but I feel COMPELLED to leave one for Dolan because the Uighur food is absolutely delicious. It is also purely out of selfishness because I want this place to stay open for as long as humanly possible. Amongst a sea of buzzy, aesthetic driven tiktok restaurants that are just mid, Dolan is *actually* a true hidden gem as another reviewer commented below; the definition of don’t judge a book by its cover. As someone who habitually seeks out asian food, this is some of the best I’ve had in Amsterdam as well as best value for money. So far I’ve tried the ding ding noodles, lamb kebabs, samsa, dumplings, and dry stir fried noodles. I’d recommend all of it!! But if you don’t have a big group and are just ordering for yourself, I’d go with ding ding noodles, kebabs, samsa, and dumplings…So basically everything I just listed. Excited to try the big tray of chicken, Qoqure, and liang fen next time. In the meantime, if you are reading this, pick up your phone and place your order ASAP.

The chicken in the big plate chicken is not fresh enough. The grilled buns and kebabs are pretty good. There are not many people, the price is not expensive, but the food is average.

Really enjoyed the Uyghur food that Dolan serves! We ordered the Samsa, Kebab, Dry stirr fried noodle and the big chicken dish. All were very tasty and came in generous portions. Paid €88,- in total for three people, including tea.

The food was delicious, I didn't expect that we could eat such wonderful delicious food in such a small place. We paid about 60 Euros. Five of us were easily fed.

The highlight is that they have Uyghur food. Staff were very friendly and I love their taste of music. Location is so great, in the buzzy pijp. The flavors however are average and had too much dark soy colors and flavor.

Amazing place! Highly recommending - we tried fried noodles, dumpling soup, kebab, samsa and tea! All the dishes were very delicious, great spices in balance. Authentic and good price (bit cheaper than normally in the area . We were full the rest of the day. Will definitely visit again!

Very tasty lamb BBQ, chicken with noodles, pita lamb. The Uyghur specialties are great! Would definitely come back here! Maybe order takeout next time, because the restaurant itself is not so attractively decorated.

Food was really nasty. I ordered kapsalon and got chicken pieces instead of doner and it tasted like Chinese herbs and he said it was shawarma, but then I definitely miss the shawarma herbs.

Very annoying store! ! ! I entered the store at around 7pm on a Friday night and it was very cold and a bit deserted. The boss was very enthusiastic, but the large plate of chicken was really not delicious, not authentic, very salty, and the chicken was dry. We ate it all in line with the principle of not wasting. After the meal, I asked my boyfriend to give it a rave review on Google to prevent others from stepping on it. The boss’s reply turned out to be very infuriating! ! First, they framed me for asking for the food not to be spicy (didn’t I ask for it to be salty??), and then satirized us for eating them all because we were too salty (not wasting it is a sin in your eyes??). The irony was that we were poor. At 30 euros for a large plate of sloppy chicken, not everyone is willing to waste money in this restaurant! I have never seen such an arrogant and unqualified store!

The big chicken dish was nothing like the xinjiang food. It was too sweet and too salty. Not spicy enough. Samsa was good though

Don’t understand why it has only 3.9 stars - this is THE type of small restaurant on a busy street that you need to know what is best on their menu.

The samsa was crunchy from the outside and the meat well seasoned and juicy. Possibly the best ones I ever had and super cheap! The qoqure good, but not as good as the samsa was. Looking forward to revisit and try their noodle dishes next

Everything is tasty, especially the noodle salad(Huang Mian). The seasoning and the texture of the noodles are so fresh and authentic. Never thought that I could find this dish in Amsterdam. Baked buns (Samsa) are amazing too!! Juicy lamb wrapped with a thin crispy dough freshly out of the oven - I think these are one of the best samsa I’ve ever had. 太好吃了，绝对会再来。味道正宗，肉新鲜，面劲道，两位老板很热情。祝生意兴隆！

An unassuming family restaurant. Very friendly service. Lamb kebab, qoqure (wonton soup), milk tea were all delicious. Would love to try Huang mian cold noodles but unfortunately was sold out when we were there. Maybe next time. We’ll come back again.
