A truly cozy and welcoming restaurant in the heart of Breda. I've been eating here almost every other week for the past two years, and it's always worth it! What a terrible experience. The staff were downright rude, and during a phone call, they even hung up on us with the words, "Just take a good look!" We ordered through Thuisbezorgd, but our food didn't arrive for over two hours. The delivery driver delivered the pizzas vertically, leaving the entire (cold) contents/toppings stuck to the side of the box. When we called about this, they didn't even listen to us. They simply said, "Then you'll have to go to Thuisbezorgd." No apology, no replacement pizza, and no willingness to resolve the problem. Even when we finally went to the delivery service in person, nothing was done. We went home without food and 25 euros lighter (they charge a €3.99 delivery fee and a €1.29 service fee). In short, bad food, bad service, and absolutely no customer service. Absolutely not recommended.

Don’t be fooled by the modest looks when you arrive: this isn’t the place for you if you want a romantic little Italian restaurant with dining by candlelight. But if you’re looking for a restaurant with the most delicious Italian food for miles, friendly and fast service and value for money: look no further. I had the lasagna which was mouthwatering delicious. The lava cake for dessert was perfect and before I could finish my glass our orders were ready. Definitely will be visiting a next time!

Upon arrival, the Italian smells of garlic and olive oil already met you. Perhaps not the most beautiful location, but the staff and especially the food were great! Small adjustments to the food were no problem and the price very accessible.

The pasta and pizza were very tasty and delicious. I asked for extra vegetables in my pasta and that was no problem at all! My table companions also found the tiramisu super tasty! I myself missed the sprinkles on my children's ice cream.. ;) The food is good and honestly priced. It is not a luxurious restaurant so it does not have a nice atmosphere.

Had every Italian in Breda. Yes, you can sit a lot more comfortably elsewhere. But at Dolce e Salato you eat just as well and for a very nice price. The price/quality ratio is really top. And the staff is super hospitable with real Italian in the kitchen. Nice no nonsense. Grazie e arrivederci!

Service was not good and food was avarsge

The spaghetti carbonara and the Tiramisu dessert are recommended. Very easy to pick up, haven't eaten in the restaurant yet.

Excellent price/quality ratio. 5 of us ate here from the delicious menu. We had 45 minutes because we had to get to the theater, and the friendly service made sure we did that. Even though it was busy with takeaway orders.

Small, somewhat cheerless pizzeria with a few tables on the edge of the city. But everything freshly made! We had the Pizza Mista, really delicious and the tiramisu was great. But the service gets the biggest compliment, we received fantastic and attentive service! Super!

Prima eten, zeker voor deze lage prijzen. Van een plek waar heel veel mensen Italiaans eten komen ophalen mag je een zekere kwaliteit verwachten. En die verwachting is volledig waar gemaakt. Weliswaar was Dolce e Salato niet het mooist ingerichte italiaanse restaurant, maar de bediening was heel vriendelijk en adequaat. Goed dat dit ook nog zo kan bestaan.

A real gem in the center. Delicious pizza and the homemade tiramisu was really fantastic. Wonderfully cozy inside and so small that it doesn't feel crowded. I will come back here more often :)

Went today for the first time. Pizza modo mio is delicious! And the insalata misto is definitely recommended.

Beyond mouthwatering delicious. Chef is Italian. The boss lady was there to greet me as I entered and also a very beautiful brunette woman who is taking the order I forget her name now. The pizza was beyond magnificent. It is a true Italian pizza the smell the taste the tomato sauce the cheese the consistency or the dough. This is the ultimate best pizza in Breda no question about it. I am tired of the doner places making shame of the word pizza it was very difficult to find a good pizza me now I found it. Please go to eat at this amazing restaurant. This is a hidden gem.

Glad we found this no-nonsense restaurant. Finally a restaurant where you still get the Italian feeling. No frills, just very tasty food for a nice price! Very friendly service with soft Italian music in the background. Absolutely great, we will definitely come back.

Ordered pizza via Thuiszorg.nl, the pizza was just cold.

Ontzettend leuk en knus restaurantje met o.a. overheerlijke pizza's en pasta's. Prijs kwaliteit top in orde, evenals de service en bediening. Zeker een volgende keer weer!

Lekkere verse pizza's. Mag van mij echt wel wat meer gekruid. Italiaans eten zweert bij kruiden. Maar dat alles vers was en niet karig, vind ik echt een plus die je niet veel meer ziet. Een klein tentje in een klein steegje...dat zijn altijd de beste pizza's voor de beste prijs (OOK in Italië).

Voor mensen zoals wij die niet uit Breda komen lijkt het net een beetje buiten het centrum te liggen, dit kleine restaurantje, maar het schijnt nog steeds centrum te zijn. En je loopt er inderdaad zo naar toe. Klein terrasje, maar onze voorkeur ligt toch vaak binnen, ook al was het warm. Leuke, vriendelijke, gastvrije bediening, kaart met verschillende pizza’s, pasta’s, voor- en nagerechten. Tafelgenoot nam de salade caprese en een quatro formaggi pizza, ik nam de antipasto (lekker gevarieerd met 4 gerechtjes op één bord en de pasta alla oglio. Prijzen rond een tientje, ga je voor een hoofdgerecht met vlees of vis ook allemaal zeer betaalbaar. Echt een pareltje dit, laagdrempelig, vriendelijk, mooie en betaalbare gerechten.

Lekkere pizza’s, vriendelijke bediening, kleurplaten voor de kinderen. Ondanks het kleine restaurant hebben ze het voor onze groep van 7p zeer aangenaam gemaakt. Zeker een aanrader!

Altijd vriendelijke mensen / personeel

Klein afhaalrestaurant waar je ook kunt blijven eten. Het duurde elke keer iets te lang voordat de bediening langskwam. Bij de tafel achter mij werd gevraagd of het smaakte, terwijl die vrouw antwoordde “weet ik niet, moet er nog een hap van nemen”. Volgens mij werd er iemand ingewerkt. De pizza was heel lekker, maar er moet wel bij gezegd worden dat er weinig authenticiteit aan is. Het is gewoon een pizza.. Het pastagerecht: penne was zeker nog niet bijtgaar. Nadat we het hadden aangegeven, was de bediening zo vriendelijk om het in de keuken verder te laten koken. Jammer genoeg mocht dit geen baat hebben en kreeg ik het bord (exact zoals het weggehaald was) weer terug. Je merkte wel dat ze er iets mee hadden gedaan; ik kon er iets beter in prikken en de penne was zouter (te zout eigenlijk). Maar nee, nog steeds tóch niet bijtgaar dus ik heb het gelaten voor wat het was. Van een Italiaans restaurant verwacht je dat de pizza’s goed zijn, maar ook dat men pasta feilloos weet te koken. Wellicht worden de punten vnl gescoord bij de pizza’s en bezorging.

Er worden wel eens Michelin sterren uitgegeven en hoe raar is dat niet?!?! Heb je überhaupt wel eens lekker gegeten in Frankrijk….veel phoeha…weinig wol! Een beetje zoals de zogenaamde vriendelijkheid in Vlaanderen…drama!!! Afijn, er zouden Pirelli-sterren moeten zijn! En dan maar meteen 10 voor Dolce e Salato!!! Vanavond (woensdag) een pizza en lasagna besteld. Bezorging redelijk vlot (50min), echter een koude pizza en de lasagna was lauw en nog niet geheel gaar naar mijn mening. Smaakte ook niet vers. Zaak gebeld om de klacht door te geven waarna gezegd werd: ja het is best snel bezorgd, de lasagna is wel vers gemaakt en het is niet onze schuld, want wij hebben geen eigen bezorger, dus ik zal het doorgeven aan thuisbezorgd. Geen compensatie. Helaas voor ons dus geen 2e keer. Erg jammer :( (Foto is met kaas top laag eraf, geen lasagna bladen, maar meer deeg te vinden).

Gezellig restaurant! Heerlijke pizza's! Bijgerechten waren wat matiger. Sfeer was erg gezellig en het personeel bijzonder vriendelijk!
