We only drank coffee. It was perfect.

Delicious chocolate coffee and cappuccino muffin, it remains worth it time and time again. This was my review until today, 3-5-3025, but THE Café, what are you doing to me now? The cappuccino muffin has been taken OUT of the assortment!! Please stock this again, so that we can enjoy this treat again next time! It is back (unfortunately temporarily)!

Decaffeinated coffee options used to be available, but they've been removed now. That's a shame.

Really lovely girls with good knowledge and willing to make something for you that isn't on the menu. They are the best!

Ordered 2 large matchas to go with strawberry and mango flavor. We get matcha almost everywhere, but after one sip, we threw this straight into the bin. They turned this into such a sickly sweet drink; it had nothing to do with matcha anymore. €14.30 straight into the trash.

The coffee, cake, and smoothie were absolutely delicious. It's quiet on the first floor, making it a good place to work. Unfortunately, the air conditioning was set much too cold for me!

The (new) employee was very helpful and very customer-friendly. The coffee is delicious and it is a beautiful spot for a coffee in the morning.

We were here for coffee this afternoon; the weather is really beautiful, the sun is shining ☀️ They don't even want to open the balcony door, and the way it was said was also ridiculous; arrogant ladies behind the bar. Very disappointing, I've been here often and it was never a problem. This is the last time for me.

Self-service shop. The coffee comes from vending machines. Not the kind of coffee shop I had in mind.

Prices were very high. We sat there and weren't served. So we left.

It is always a surprise what you get. Do you have an experienced employee and are they in the mood? Then you probably get what you asked for. The toilet? A complete mess. Everything wet, paper everywhere, really dirty. There are 2 young ladies behind the bar, very arrogant. It's a shame, we have been coming here for years but for the umpteenth time this was not good.

Delivery isn't getting any better. Of the last three times we ordered, two orders were cancelled. But by then you've already paid, and you just have to wait again to get your money back. So, not again.

I always enjoy having a drink at Douwe Egberts. It's a nice place to sit at any time. But lately, the coffee hasn't been good. I don't know what you guys are doing. This time, someone came with me to ask for a replacement for my coffee, but I got a "no." Even though I paid for it. It was a latte I ordered; I got more of a "coffee wrong" with some whipped cream. Coffee has to taste good, otherwise it's no fun at all.

Poor guys giving service here! They were buried in orders. Understaffed is an understatement. We waited 30 min for 2 coffees. It’s a shame the ambiance and the coffee are not bad at all. Great location and comfortable lounge chairs and music. But the gezelligheid is missed by not having the coffee you went for. Give the employees a rise and properly staff the place or close it off.

It is simply a treat to be there every time. Delicious types of coffee, but also the new sandwiches etc., everything is delicious.

DE Leeuwarden is entirely geared towards making as much money as possible with as little effort as possible. Blaze those coffees! The owner clearly makes no secret of that. It is dirty here, cleaning or vacuuming is rarely done, you order via a QR code, and the staff seem bored and rushed. Well.

We had a caramel latte and espresso here. And some pastry to go with it. The pastry was very small for that price but it tasted good, and the espresso was less flavorful than expected.

It was a delicious iced latte with just the right proportions. Cozy and friendly staff<3

I placed an order here today. The order arrived broken and soaked. I returned the order to the delivery driver. Douwe Egberts states that it is not their fault but the delivery driver's and that they can't do anything. That may be true, but I do think that as a company, you can come up with a solution instead of doing nothing about it. I don't consider this good service. I used to order things here regularly.

Apparently a popular place among students. I can understand how – there are many tables and cool places to sit, the café has various fun drinks that taste delicious, and the business offers numerous delicious desserts. Nothing to really complain about, and since it is a chain, I will look out for this brand in other cities.

Had a delicious latte at this lovely stopover. Cozy place, and the upstairs is also nice if you still need to work on your laptop or something similar.

I get my cappuccino here every day. From creative Latte Art to nice 'attempts'. But that doesn't matter, because the atmosphere is great! Nice ladies (and gentlemen), always up for a joke and a good time. Keep up the good work 😁

Very poor service, staff unfriendly and irritated. All the tables were a mess, though the sandwiches were tasty. But unfortunately, it might be useful to deploy more staff for cleaning. The toilets are also very unhygienic.

The cafe need more welcoming service and good vibes and the prices are so high!

Is this supposed to be a Douwe Egberts signboard? Bad service: no saucer, no milk/sugar. Grossly overpriced and lukewarm cappuccino. Oh well, great. The location is sublime, but I don't think there is a manager present. And you can tell... Not recommended. Better cafes in the neighborhood with nice people, great service, and hot coffee! Shame.

I ordered a hot matcha latte, but it was extremely sweet. When I asked what caused this, I was told it was due to the coconut milk, which didn't seem entirely logical to me. I then asked if some water could be added to soften the taste a bit. To my surprise, tap water was simply poured directly into my drink. I found this very unprofessional and not customer-oriented. In the end, I wasn't even able to drink the matcha, even though I paid €6.30 for it. Very disappointing and a waste of money.

Small coffee, medium coffee, and two toasted sandwiches for 23 euros. Ridiculously expensive. On top of that, you have to pick up your coffee yourself, which also took too long. The service was cold, like the weather… not worth repeating.

Nice and busy little coffee shop. First, you have to squeeze your way through the people waiting for coffee to go to get a table. The coffee tasted delicious, and there was plenty of variety too.

Unhygienic and unprofessional, the spoons are upside down in the container, and everyone touches them with their hands. When I politely informed the woman in question that I found this distasteful, she ignored it and assumed an arrogant attitude. If anything is done with my review, it will be updated, and not before.

A nice and quiet place to drink your coffee quietly. pleasant atmosphere, 5-star coffee, but the staff moves too slowly. considering that the coffee was almost empty, we stayed for 25 minutes to bring me coffee.

Sunday afternoon around 3:30 pm. Good cappuccino, but expensive. Strawberry tart was incredibly expensive. Service was terrible. You have to pick up at the bar, which was announced twice, snappily. And all that for 16 euros for two cappuccinos and a tart. The tables and chairs in the back were a mess. All in all, way overpriced, unfriendly, and messy. We'll be going back to Fellini from now on.

I always go here for studying and for the matcha latte. It has 3 floors, so there’s always a place to sit. I like everything here except that the staff always forgot to make my order somehow.

It was always perfect sitting at DE Café, the coffee was fine, the atmosphere always okay. A place to land, to catch your breath for a moment, among cups and conversation, familiar and pleasant. But now the place is packed, rain or shine, with delivery drivers waiting for their receipts. They take the chairs, which are scarce when it’s busy, and break the peace you were just savoring. The coffee is the same, the taste still familiar, but the silence of the past has slowly faded. So what remains is a place you know and recognize, but which feels just a little different from what you know.

Despite the quiet day, there were 3 bar staff (one of whom was a nice guy), and two English people. It took a really long time before you could order and for your hot drink to be ordered 'inside' at the counter. I'm curious to see how this will go on busy days.

Choco Mallow = regular hot chocolate. The marshmallows and chocolate sauce from the posters aren't included. Misleading.

The location is very spacious and nice decorated; the negative note is on the food offer compared to the price: not matching in my honest opinion. Unfortunately I also have felt cold all the time I stayed here. Side note: almost no vegan options :(

After fifteen minutes, I went to pick up my cold cafe latte myself. The protein hadn't been properly shaken in those fifteen minutes... Too bad.

My favorite coffee spot in Enschede. Good coffee (real coffee), cozy atmosphere, and friendly staff. It does get busy sometimes with students using it as a study plan, so plan your visit around that.

Just enjoyed a delicious breakfast platter. One platter was enough for two people (even though it's supposed to be for one person), and everything was delicious!

We had coffee and a piece of cake here. It was seriously overpriced, so we had to get it ourselves, and the cake was small. Not again.

We ordered iced mango matcha, two lungos, and two iced macchiatos. At the pickup counter, we were told with a bitchy growl that the matcha was gone. And there wasn't an ice cube in the two iced macchiatos. The place was filthy, covered in dishes, and the pipes above the counter were covered in mountains of dust. We wouldn't be back.

I was sitting there when Nederweert started to send us away. We were going to order drinks, but the staff were really racist towards us and they don't pay attention to customers. I will never go back to that cafe. It was honestly not nice. I don't want to give a star. It was just really annoying what they did to us.

We had a nice seat with a cup of coffee and a sandwich. The staff was friendly, and my unfamiliar table companion was also very friendly and attentive.

A place with amazing people. It's become a place where I can find peace and truly enjoy the drinks, the food, the atmosphere, and the wonderful social environment created by the baristas and staff. ♥️

Very disappointing that even after a few days no response from D.E. Leeuwarden. I had ordered 2 medium cappuccinos via the qr code. I got a tray with 2 cups of poorly poured cappuccino without a saucer And the spoons in the cups. And not even a cookie/treat as always. As if you were presented with a normal coffee. See photo. Unbelievable for a coffee specialty store! Table 147 I think. A young man around 18 or 19 years old served us.

it is the best place for me to study and enjoy my time. as a student, most of my time goes through here. my friends and i always meet up here and enjoy the good tasting drinks/coffee. it’s quite calm (sometimes when it’s too much people, it can be crowded.) best and very nice workers too! two things i wish: - to have the building bigger. (sometimes too crowded and no space) - it closes 10 PM. it feels too early.

You feel at home where you drink Douwe Egberts. That's how that slogan used to sound. Well, not with this concept. I miss the personal approach. Coffee was ok. Service was ok. But there was literally 0 atmosphere.
