Favorite brunch place in Amsterdam. Always packed with people and a great vibe. Sad to see the restaurant changing/disappearing to become the second restaurant of Poppy’s.

Who would’ve thought that the hidden gem of my travel to Amsterdam would be an Australian restaurant! The places is beautiful and cozy, the food is simply amazing (best hollandaise sauce I’ve ever had, the bacon and sausage were amazing, and the eggs were cooked perfectly), and the staff is goes above and beyond to make this place feels like you’re in the owner’s private kitchen. You will feel at home, no matter where you are from or where you are going. I also highly recommend the hot chocolate and the lemon-myrtle tea ❤️ A big shout out to the owner, who was especially friendly, attentive to the needs of her customers, and just super fun to be around. She even gave me recommendation on my next travel city. I’d go back to this place anytime!

One of my favorite brunch spots in Amsterdam. Lovely terrace in summer and cosy inside in winter. Perfect for families with young children as they have a dedicated kids corner. In this Australian cuisine food is always delicious, coffee is great and smoothies are freshly made. Even though the menu doesn’t change that often, the way how they make their dishes changes from time to time, which makes it nice as a regular to come back. On top of that, this place is not expensive at all. Definitely one of the top 5 brunch spots in Amsterdam!

Staff super nice, atmosphere as well but food wasn’t good at all. I ordered the steak sanduíche the meat was well done and the pancakes we ordered after wasn’t cooked properly (really really not cooked).

Pancakes were not cooked inside… the meat was hard and supper cooked as well. Definitely not coming back.

Warned us upfront about increased waiting time (because the kitchen was overworked), which is very appreciated :) Looks like a very nice busy place

Perfect service , food & drinks!

We have been to Drovers many times but unfortunately today the eggs Benedict was burnt, dry and the eggs were pretty much hard-boiled :( considering the price and the amount on the plate, I don’t think we will be returning anytime soon

I wish I could give Drovers Dog more than a 5/5 rating and here’s why- 1) Impeccable service and extremely friendly and accommodative staff!! We were a large group of 15 people and the accommodated us (with reservation). Though the restaurant officially closed at 4 pm or so, the restaurant manager welcomed us to stay till 5:30-6 pm and kept serving us drinks and made us feel very comfortable and welcome!! The food came in time and the staff was very attentive. They gave us fresh water bottles periodically to stay hydrated. Loved the service 2) Food and drinks were amazing. I generally never like bloody Mary’s but the ones here are so good that im now a fan! The mimosas were nice too. And the food was incredible! Although their menu is limited, it’s understandably so because all the food was just perfect! The coffee was also good! 3) Ambiance- The overall decor and vibe of the place is super nice and chill! It has a warm and welcoming vibe (just like the staff does). The lights and music make it a very cozy space. I can’t wait to come back to drovers dog. We really enjoyed our wonderful Saturday afternoon. Drovers dog is really the perfect brunch destination- even for large groups- which makes it such a gem of a place!! Thank you for the hospitality! 😊

The food was incredibly delicious! & also came very quickly. The service very attentive & courteous (especially the young brown-haired lady) we felt very welcome & recommend this restaurant! It is a must on your next visit to Amsterdam.

Drovers Dog is an Australian resturant in Amsterdam served in a relaxed atmosphere of warm, extra friendly and professional service.special place for kids. loved it so much will be back again.

Lungo il percorso della linea 2 di Amsterdam, nella prima periferia sorge il DroversDog ristorante e bar con specialità Australiane e birre della terra dei canguri buonissime (quasi una blasfemia nella culla della Heineken). Garden esterno, interni lignei, sedute comode e servizio professionale, questo locale, gestito egregiamente da giovani imprenditori, è frequentato dal popolo locale e dal turismo di passaggio che ha la fortuna di accorgersi della sua esistenza. Prezzi corretti all'olandese e ottimi ingredienti anche per coloro (come me) che potrebbero avere dubbi sulla carne di canguro, invero squisita e ben presentata. Ci si ferma la prima volta per curiosità e si torna per la qualità e gentilezza. Good 👍👌😉!!!

Used to be great.it has been my go to brunch place for the past 4 years. Not anymore, only go there if you are mentally ready to wait for a burger for more than an hour....

Nice brunch place. The food was really good. It's just a little pricey compared to other brunch spots in the area. €4 for a small glass of orange juice, not great value for money.

Cosy Café with great meals for breakfast or brunch/lunch. Staff is always friendly and the food is very very tasty.

Such a lovely place. My friend works here so I obviously had to go and although I am biased ofc, I must say the food and smoothies were amazing! I loved the calmness of the area especially for amsterdam standards. It is definitely worth a visit :)

Great Australian brunch experience here always (also for real Australians)

Definitely one of my favorite places in Amsterdam. Breakfast, brunch or coffee, these guys have got you covered. I've been coming here so long that this place has almost become a second home. I've tried all dishes several times, but the shakshouka (with garlic bread that is to die for) and sweet potato fries with aioli are winners each time.

We go here a lot and the food is always great. The staff are super lovely. The drinks delicious. Amazing place.

Friendly service. Not that crowded. You can taste the spices in the hash brown, but it can use a bit more salt. The pancake is almost too firm/hard to cut, and it is a bit dry.

Loved the brunch there ! Poached eggs and moscow mule were delicious!

The staff are very friendly and the restaurant is in a nice location. It’s cosy inside too. However we waited around 40 minutes for a steak sandwich and avocado toast with poached egg, and when it eventually came the steak and the eggs were overcooked and not hot. They gave us a free coffee and smoothie to apologise. I would not come back.

Great restaurant. I had the steak sandwiche and children's pancakes which we very nice. We will be back every day while we are in Amsterdam
