I really liked the cafe, I recommend it

It was quite hot to sit outside but I did enjoy the Mango glazed halloumi sandwich. It had red onion, avocado on a pea tahini spread, with hot honey & sourdough bread. My matcha latte was not the best but it was ok.

A hidden gem within walking distance of the station, I'm a fan!

Quiet place inside of the busy city centre of Utrecht, amazing atmosphere, beautiful interior and the drinks were really good and not too expensive! (Bonus points for the vegan croissant.)

Nice eatery within walking distance of the center. We had breakfast here. The waffle with fruit and the two eggs. Everything looked great and tasted great. The waffle was thick and well decorated with red fruit. The eggs would come with grilled bread. The bread was fresh and a good thick slice. Unfortunately the grilled food could not be found, but it tasted no less.

The food was good but we went on a Sunday morning where we probably were too hungry for the long wait times for the food to get to your table.

Located in a place that will be absolutely fantastic next spring, after the completion of the work on the Amsterdamsestraatweg. A really nice terrace location near the canal. Nice staff and good espressos every time.

Now my favourite coffee shop in Utrecht, lovely peaceful contemporary surroundings, friendly staff, and good food. I am from the UK and Annika has very good English and was very helpful looking after my sleeping toddler while having to go to the bathroom. The Cordado and tosti were excellent and reasonably priced. I will certainly be returning for another visit 😀👍

What a wonderful place! Beautiful playful colors, lots of light thanks to a green courtyard, a place to work and a large terrace. All this addressed by the sympathetic owners with great care and an eye for detail. This undeniably also applies to the menu: a fresh and local offering of mainly vegetarian ingredients in surprising, delicious compositions. I loved the sourdough bread with black bean spread and roasted cauliflower and a delicious jalapeño cheese sauce. Accompanied by a nice glass of pinot grigio. Since I was lucky enough to be able to stay for a long time in this wonderful oasis, I drank a perfect, not too sweet, latte chaï and a delicious fresh juice. The juices and lemonades are also homemade. If you are in Utrecht, you should definitely stop at Dubbel/Dwars!

It took me way too long to discover this place. A true gem. A cosy and colorful interior with various great seats, an area dedicated to laptop. All of that makes for a relaxed atmosphere. The menu has diverse and well executed dishes (at least that was the case for the Turkiss eggs that we tried). Also recommend the fresh teas. Note that there are also often creative events organized.

I've been coming here for some time now and yet every time it feels like I'm entering a well-kept secret. Time and again I am so surprised by the divine food. Such surprising vegetarian dishes with incredibly good combinations of flavors. I hardly ever manage to resist the big shelf with a little bit of everything, because I just want it all! Favorites are the salads and waffles with fruit. The friendly staff makes this my favorite lunch spot to take people to.

Had a delicious meal at DUBBEL/DWARS on the Amsterdamsestraatweg. They have a special summer evening dinner this summer, with a Bit of Everything XXL. With pre-filled peach, burrata and watermelon & feta. For starters, a full board with lemon risotto, burrito with cauliflower, soba noodles and tabbouleh with roasted eggplant, and for dessert a crackling brownie and cheesecake and even more goodies! Everything vegetarian and very tasty, everything local and fresh, reserved by super friendly service!

I stopped by for a Sunday morning breakfast with a friend. I really enjoyed the space (I'd say it's perfect to come with a laptop too), and the service was super friendly! Great coffee as well. My only issue was that what we ordered was definitely not what you expect from a shakshouka; it was more of a shakshouka-inspired spread with poached eggs on top. I wouldn't have it again.

A very strange establishment and does not live up to its rating. Friendly staff but.. Insanely long food service. A croissant that takes 30 minutes (flat by the way), etc... Small portions for crazy money. Cold eggs, undercooked bacon. Poached eggs are not runny! A very strange combination of products.

Beautiful decor, fresh and cheerful and a terrace in the sun. The food is a bit disappointing. The green shakshuka was literally a vegetable-herb mixture with 2 poached eggs on top. I expected stewed eggs in a green sauce, but alas. Loaf's sourdough bread was a bright spot. On the advice of the waiter, I also ordered a portion of sweet potato fries. These were not tasty. There appears to be a layer of powder or something sprinkled over the fries, which does not feel good in the mouth. Perhaps this is a nice spot in the sun with a drink. I wouldn't eat there anytime soon.

Took way too long, 45 minutes, for a sandwich and a soup. The place wasn't even full. Toasted bread baked with way too much butter Social deal, not satisfying is what they say behind the bar.....Then don't participate. One-off, far too little choice.

A nice place in itself and friendly staff. However, I was disappointed because I was looking for a nice place to study on a quiet day. With about 5 tables free I was asked to sit at "the laptop table". A little buzz in the background is fine, but I would have appreciated my own table if there was room. The conversation of the people at the laptop table is relatively difficult to ignore even with earphones, so that did detract from my experience. It seems nice as a place for a snack, but as a study/workplace I wouldn't recommend it in that sense.

Nice place, in a well-located location with a sweet waitress who thinks along with you. Popped in to get a cup of coffee for the road. I thought the price was a bit high for what I got.

I've been to Dubbel/Dwars so many times and it remains my favorite. And everyone should know that! The food is prepared with care and attention and every season there is a beautiful menu on the menu!

Staff has been very unwelcoming every time I’ve been here. Came with a group once and somebody forgot to pay, when I came back they demanded I pay for someone else’s bill. Also very weird about working with a laptop. Was told to move tables twice when the place was empty just for having my laptop out.

Super friendly guy at the counter, plenty of tables and seats and you can work on your laptop too. Has both indoor and outdoor seating.

Hele fijne plek om te werken of om te ontbijten/brunchen/lunchen/borrelen. Ze hebben veel vega, vegan en glutenvrije opties. Fijne werkplekjes en zitplekjes, lieve mensen, goede sfeer!

It's a cute cafe with some interesting dishes and drinks! The staff are always very friendly. They have some toys for kids too!

Heerlijk plekje om te werken. Achterin de zaak een paar grote tafels met veel stopcontacten. Sterke Wi-fi, chill achtergrondmuziekje maar geen herrie. Lunch, koffie en verse sapjes ook allemaal erg lekker. Top!

For a decent lunch i can highly recommend. As you can see, food were prepared with care and had great taste. Also you can either sit outside with enough sunlight (when the weather helps) or inside with comfortable chair with spacious desk. I was there only for an hour but I can imagine staying there a bit longer and working or reading.

Really nice place close to central station. It’s small but it has a grande vibe. Staff is cute and excellent in service. Bites and drinks are on point. Enjoying the first nice sun of march it was a real treat sitting here enjoying the Saturday afternoon with my sun. A lot of vega(n) options and a nice philosophy behind the business. Highly recommended
