A group of adults and children celebrated the birthday of a 95-year-old in Duinzicht. Excellent welcome by friendly service. Reserved places outside on a sunny terrace. Drinks and pastries from the bakery: delicious. Drinks and snacks, also nuts. Great place, great atmosphere and service. Plenty of room for children to play: wet and dry. Parking opposite in a spacious private car park. Free (and that's a lot for the Municipality of Veere! 🤣). Worth repeating! 👍

Unfortunately, a very stark contrast to the Duinzicht of the past, where you were welcomed with a smile from ear to ear. With the current owners you would pay money not to have to go there. Never before have I seen someone trudge into service with such reluctance and a rude attitude as this chef's wife. We were treated so rudely that I decided to start a conversation about it, which resulted in her complaining about staff shortages, etc. I decided to pay for everything and eat somewhere else so as not to spoil our evening. We will wait until there are new owners. Which probably won't last long.

The four of us had dinner here on Christmas Day. Everything was great. Careful attention was paid to the dishes, pleasant atmosphere and service. The children were also taken into account with a buffet while they enjoyed the indoor playground. We had a delicious meal

We were there for dinner. The atmosphere is chic and cozy. The service was friendly and attentive. We particularly liked the presentation of the dishes. Really pleasing to the eye and the taste was outstanding. The prices are reasonable, the quality is right. You don't find that often in the region. Absolutely recommended. We'll be back.

This evening we had a nice dinner with our family, including two young children, who first played outside and then inside. The weather was lovely, we had a drink on the terrace while the kids had a great time in a spacious and well-organized playground. Then we ate inside and the kids played in the indoor playground between meals, ideal for eating out with young children! Tasty dishes on the menu, customer-friendly people, good drinks, beautiful business, enjoy the Zeeland life!

Op zaterdag 5 okt met 12 personen geluncht. Heerlijk gegeten ruime keuze uit gerechten( ook vegetarisch) Vriendelijke bediening, aandacht voor hond(koekjes, water) Er is een leuke binnenspeelplaats. Ook buiten speelplaats maar geen gebruik van gemaakt.

Had lunch with 12 people on Saturday October 5. Delicious food, wide choice of various options (also vegetarian) Friendly service, attention to dogs (biscuits) and a nice indoor playground for children. Also outdoor playground but did not use it.

A very unpleasant experience... I will certainly not go there again. Upon arrival (September 11, 2024) we wanted to order food (family outing), and the clerk (woman) immediately sighed. The menu was different than what the internet showed. Very unpleasant and unfriendly people.

Our daughter celebrated her children's party at Duinzicht and is super happy! They ate delicious fries, played both inside and outside and decorated an ice cream. There were also tasty snacks and drinks for the parents. Thank you very much!

When Duinzicht Eat & Play was still Duinzicht Bijzonder Ordinary and was run by people with disabilities, it was always a pleasure to go there. The atmosphere was very relaxed, the food was great, the people in the service were super sweet and everything was possible. It was really a great place to come with children, many birthdays were celebrated there. The restaurant now has 2 or 3 owners and unfortunately there is nothing left of the nice atmosphere and the nice place. The lady serving walks across the terrace, sighing and groaning, while there are only seven tables occupied. Every question and order is too much, all afternoon. When asked if we can order in advance for dinner (4:45 p.m.), the response is negative. Even if we indicate that it does not have to be made immediately, after 5 p.m. is fine, but that we would like to eat on time because of small children, she insists on ordering at 5 p.m. Because it's crazy these days, people who come for lunch want to order at 11 a.m. instead of at 12 noon, people who want to order for dinner at 4 p.m., etc. etc., she went on and on. And then they no longer have an overview in the kitchen of all 600 receipts and what needs to be made first, again there were seven tables occupied. The tables around us also receive the same answers, coincidentally everyone wants to eat early and we hear that they also experience that everything is quite difficult. Ok, then just order something to drink, which will be delivered 3 minutes before 5 p.m. When we are asked if we can order now, we get a big sigh again, so go ahead. I then want to open up a conversation to clear the atmosphere and indicate that the contrast is quite large with previous visits. So that takes some getting used to. And she indicates that they are understaffed and that there are no staff available and she is having a hard time. I say, why don't you just serve a small menu; fries and toasted sandwiches or just drinks. But the lady has no regard for the customer and starts a new complaint. This irritates me and I also say something about it, I also indicate that we no longer have to order dinner. She storms in and returns with the cook, who turns out to be her husband. And we are kindly asked to leave. Fine, that's what we were already planning to do. Then I go inside to pay and tell the kids that we are leaving because we are no longer welcome. Mr. Chef goes crazy and shouts all kinds of things at me, to which I indicate that I do not want to be treated like this and that I will certainly not pay for my drinks in this way. At that moment the cook becomes aggressive, I have to pay, yes, if you treat me normally, and even wants to attack me! He comes towards me with his fist in the air. I ran away very quickly, that man was terrifying, and went outside to recover for a while. There were several people I knew on the terrace and even the people I didn't know all shared the same experience and opinion. This is not okay and you don't really feel welcome. The lady does not understand that she cannot tell everyone the 'victim' story of no staff and I don't know what else is bothering her but it would be better to act proactively, as is done at court Pop, for example, a small card because of a shortage of staff. I indicate that her communication is not 'ok' and that the customer is not really central here and that the contrast is very great and that she could have stated this in a businesslike manner; ok, I understand the big contrast, but new owners, new rules, something like that. In the end I received some kind of apology and of course I just paid properly. But no, I wouldn't recommend a visit anymore. I'll wait for the next owners, because one thing is clear, these people won't last.

Toen Duinzicht Eat & Play nog Duinzicht Bijzonder Gewoon was en gerund werd door met mensen met een beperking, was het altijd een feestje om daar te komen. De sfeer was heel relaxed, het eten geweldig, de mensen in de bediening super lief en alles was mogelijk. Het was echt een top plek om met kinderen te komen, daar heel wat verjaardagen gevierd. Inmiddels is het restaurant 2 of 3 eigenaren verder en helaas is er niks meer over van de fijne sfeer en de fijne plek. De dame in de bediening loopt zuchtend en steunend over het terras, terwijl er slechts zeven tafeltjes bezet zijn. Iedere vraag en bestelling is te veel, heel de middag. Op de vraag of we alvast mogen bestellen voor diner (16.45 uur), wordt negatief gereageerd. Zelfs als we aangeven dat het niet direct gemaakt hoeft te worden, na 17.00 uur is prima, maar dat we graag op tijd willen eten ivm kleine kids, houdt ze vast aan 17.00 uur bestellen. Want het is tegenwoordig van de gekke, mensen die komen lunchen willen om 11.00 uur al bestellen in plaats van om 12.00 uur, mensen die om 16.00 willen bestellen voor het avondeten etc etc, zo ging ze maar door. En dan hebben ze in de keuken het overzicht niet meer met alle 600 bonnen en wat er eerst gemaakt moet worden, nogmaals er waren zeven tafels bezet. Ook de tafels om ons heen, krijgen dezelfde antwoorden, toevallig wil iedereen vroeg eten en we horen dat zij ook ervaren dat alles nogal moeizaam gaat. Ok, dan nog maar wat te drinken bestellen wat 3 minuten voor 17.00 uur wordt gebracht. Op de vraag of we nu wel mogen bestellen, krijgen we weer een grote zucht, doe dan maar. Vervolgens wil ik gesprek open gooien om sfeer wat te klaren en geef ik aan dat het contrast nogal groot is met vorige bezoeken. Dus dat dat even wennen is. En geeft ze aan dat ze onderbezet lopen en dat er geen personeel te vinden is en ze heeft het zo zwaar. Ik geef aan, waarom serveer je dan niet alleen een kleine kaart; friet en tosti's of alleen drinken. Maar mevrouw heeft geen oog voor klant en begint weer een nieuwe klaagzang. Dit gaat in mijn irritatie zitten en hier zeg ik ook wat van, ik geef ook aan dat we geen diner meer hoeven te bestellen. Ze stormt naar binnen en komt terug met de kok, die haar man blijkt te zijn. En we worden vriendelijk verzocht om te vertrekken. Prima, dat waren we toch al van plan. Vervolgens ga ik naar binnen om te betalen en geef ik bij kids aan dat we weggaan want we zijn niet meer welkom. Gaat meneer de kok uit zijn dak, schreeuwt vanalles naar mij, waarop ik aangeef dat ik zo niet behandeld wens te worden en dat ik op deze manier zeker niet mijn drankjes ga afrekenen. Op dat moment wordt de kok agressief, ik moet betalen, ja, als je mij normaal behandeld, en wilt mij zelfs aanvliegen! Hij komt met zijn vuist in de lucht op mij af. Ik ben heel snel weggelopen, doodeng die man, naar buiten om even bij te komen. Er zaten meerdere bekenden van mij op het terras en ook de mensen die ik niet kenden, deelden allemaal dezelfde ervaring en mening. Dit is niet ok en je voelt je niet echt welkom. Mevrouw snapt niet dat ze niet bij iedereen het ’slachtoffer’ verhaal kan ophangen van geen personeel en weet ik veel waar ze allemaal nog meer last van heeft maar beter proactief kan handelen, zoals bij hof Pop bijvoorbeeld wordt gedaan, kleine kaart want personeelstekort. Ik geef aan dat haar maar van communiceren niet ‘ok’ is en dat de klant hier niet echt centraal staat en dat het contrast heel groot is en dat ze dit prima zakelijk had kunnen aangeven; ok, ik snap het groot contrast, maar nieuwe eigenaren, nieuwe regels zoiets. Uiteindelijk heb ik een soort van excuses gekregen en natuurlijk gewoon netjes betaald. Maar nee, ik zou een bezoek niet meer aanraden. Ik wacht wel op de volgende eigenaren, want een ding is duidelijk, deze mensen gaan het niet volhouden.

This is the first review I have ever written, but I feel compelled to share my experience due to the very disappointing and frustrating situation we find ourselves in. I also indicated that I will post a review as long as they don't fix it. We recently made a deposit of €1450 for a family party at Duinzicht. Many of our family members come from Walcheren and we were all really looking forward to this event. Unfortunately, it now appears that the operator, to whom we paid directly, has left. To our great surprise and disappointment, Duinzicht, which is clearly stated on the invoice, does not want to take any responsibility for the situation. This despite the fact that we have made all payments as agreed. It is simply unacceptable that a catering company behaves in this way and says it is not their problem. We feel extremely cheated and would like to warn others against such practices. We are exploring what our legal options are.

Nieuwe eigenaar, vroeg of we hadden gereserveerd, nee, uuu zoek dan maar een plekje. Dat klonk alsof ze liever niet had dat we kwamen. Ze gaf gelijk aan een drukke dag te hebben gehad. Dit vanwege drukte en te weinig personeel. Het kon dus langer duren. Ontvangst was daardoor niet heel erg welkom. Ook was het menu daarom beperkt. Helaas was dat al een teleurstelling, mede omdat ik weken eerder had gekeken, toen was het menu uitgebreid en las ik goeie resenties. Ondanks te kort aan personeel was kwam het eten snel, Fish viel tegen, gefrituurd niet vers, de kipburgers werden helaas koud en rauw geserveerd. Geen directe excuses, we kregen er een Fish voor terug. Kipsate was prima. Ik hoop voor de nieuwe eigenaren dat ze snel personeel vinden en het goed op de rit krijgen. Helaas voor nu helaas matig. Tip zorg dat je iedereen altijd welkom laat voelen ondanks bepaalde hectiek.

Jammer dat deze horecagelegenheid zo in een negatief daglicht wordt gesteld! Wij hebben hele goeie ervaringen met dit bedrijf. Wij hebben deze post ook gelezen waarin de pachters aangeven vertrokken te zijn naar het buitenland. Heel vervelend voor iedereen. Zowel gasten van het park maar ook mensen van buitenaf. Om nu ook nog slechte reviews te plaatsen gaat wel erg ver! Vakantiepark Duinzicht is in deze zelf ook gedupeerd. Wij komen hier altijd met erg veel plezier en hopen dat het snel weer open gaat zodat we weer kunnen genieten van deze mooie horecagelegenheid.

We received such a warm welcome from this sweet, friendly catering family! Hospitality; with the capital G! Delicious dishes (lunch, dinner and drinks and wide choice of drinks) for an affordable price. Fun theme evenings are organized. And the hostess said that they can arrange everything for a tailor-made party. Whether you are staying at the campsite or you come from outside, everyone is welcome. Very child friendly too (there is a nice ball pit!) What more could you want... go and experience it for yourself 😀

A beautiful Mediterranean style restaurant with a homely atmosphere. It is a family business and you notice that immediately. Everyone is cordial and the service is top notch. The food is delicious. Highly recommended!

Delicious food in this camping restaurant. Wonderful to Sit here if you have children. When the weather is nice they play outside in the playground and when the weather is bad there is an indoor playroom.

Went here for dinner with 2 families. New owner for several weeks, so menu was still limited, but fine for us. A new, more extensive map will apparently follow soon. Were received warmly and service-oriented. Fresh and clean interior as well as the indoor play area. Tasty, freshly prepared meals Price/quality more than good Would love to come here again

Unfortunately, I am not satisfied with my experience at this location. I have been faced with a closed door several times. It is frustrating to first hear that they are closed for various reasons, and then be confronted with closures again later in the season without any communication to paying customers. My kids always looked forward to visiting here, but every time we take them they are disappointed by the closed doors. Communication is poor and this really needs to be improved.

We were pretty excited about the combination of indoor and outdoor playground + restaurant. Both the outside area and especially the inside area are very attractively designed and both playgrounds are in great condition. Everything is very clean, the service was also very nice! Really ideal for us with children!!! The food we had was also really good. One star deducted because there could be a little more selection and the prices could easily be €2 less. But actually the price level is similar everywhere and there aren't that great gaming options. We would come back at any time.
